KITCHEN SCALE SAFETY
Read through the following carefully and keep these operating instructions
in case you need to refer to them later.
Designated use
•
The kitchen scale is designed for weighing foods and small items in the
household. It is unsuitable for commercial purposes.
Hazard for children
•
Batteries can be dangerous. Therefore, keep the scale and battery out
of reach of children. If a battery has been swallowed, medical assistance
must immediately be sought.
•
Keep children away from packaging material. Suffocation hazard exists if
swallowed. Make sure the packaging bag does not slip over the head.
Caution
•
The kitchen scale must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
•
Place the device on a sturdy, even surface.
•
Do not overload the scale: max. capacity is 11lbs.
•
Do not situate the scale near devices that can emit electromagnetic radia-
tion, for example, mobile phones, radio devices, or similar. This can result
in an incorrect display or malfunction.
•
Device feet are situated on the underside of the scale. As surfaces can be
made of different materials and are treated with different care products, it
cannot be completely ruled out that some of these materials may contain
components that attack and dissolve the device feet. If applicable, place
a non-slip mat under the device feet.
•
Remove the battery from the device if you are not going to be using the
scale for an extended period of time.
•
Do not expose batteries to extreme conditions. For example, storing them
on a radiator or under direct sunlight.

Inserting the battery
1. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Insert the supplied battery as illustrated on the base of the battery compartment.
Ensure that the polarity is correct (+/-)
3. Close the compartment.

Do not overload the scale, Max weight is 11lbs.
Weighing solid goods
1. Place the scale on a sturdy, even surface.
Remove bowl from the scale.
2. Switch the scale on by pressing the ON/OFF/TARE button. After several seconds,
“0: 0.0” appears in the display. The scale is calibrated and you can start to weigh.
3. If you intend to weigh goods in the bowl, place the empty container on the scale.
4. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again, “0: 0.0” appears in the display.
This removes the weight of the bowl.
5. Press the MODE button repeatedly, until a small bar appears above “Weight” in the
display. The scale is ready.
6. Place the goods into the container. The measured weight will appear in the display.
Weighing liquid goods
The kitchen scale displays the weight of water and milk in fluid
ounces (fl:oz) or milliliters (ml) using the provided bowl.
1. Place the scale on a sturdy, even surface.
2. Switch the scale on by pressing the ON/OFF/TARE button. Remove the bowl from
the scale. After several seconds, “0.0” will appear in the display. The scale is
calibrated and you can begin to weigh.
3. Place the bowl on the weighing surface.
4. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again. “0.0” appears in the display.
5. Repeatedly press the MODE button, until a small bar appears in the display above
“Milk” or “Water”. The scale is ready.
6. Pour the liquid into the container. The measured weight will appear in the display.

KITCHEN SCALE WEIGHNG INSTRUCTIONS
Adding goods for weighing
This function is practical if you intend to add another ingredient to an ingredient that
is already situated on the scale.
1. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button, in order to reset the scale to 0.
2. Add the new goods to be weighed.
3. In the display, the weight of the added goods is shown.
4. Repeat the process if you intend to add more ingredients.
Changing units of measurement
The scale can weigh and display goods to be weighed in grams (g) and milliliters (ml)
or in pounds/ounces (lb:oz) and fluid ounces (fl:oz). ). By default, the scale is preset
to lbs and oz.
1. Switch the scale on.
2. Press on the M/I button on the reverse side of the scale, in order to switch be
-
tween the units of measurement.
Overload display
When O-Ld appears in the display during weighing, the maximum capacity of 11lbs.
has been exceeded.
Reset
Recalibrate the scale if unusual or incorrect values appear in the display. Press the
Reset button 1x on the underside of the scale. All display contents will appear for a
brief moment. The scale will then turn off. Turn on the scale by pressing the ON/
OFF/TARE button.
Switching off the scale
Keep the ON/OFF/TARE button pressed until the display switches off. Note: If the
scale is not used for approx. 60 seconds, it will switch off automatically. When a
battery symbol appears in the upper left-hand corner of the display, the battery must
be replaced.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Thank you for purchasing a top quality Crofton product. This Digital Kitchen
Scale was tested and met our stringent quality standards. This product is
warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects and workmanship for 2 years
with dated proof of purchase receipt.
The warranty is void if the defect is due to accidental damage, misuse, abuse,
neglect, improper repair or alteration by unauthorized persons or failure to
follow operation instructions provided with the product. This warranty does
not apply to commercial use.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchase and
does not extend to subsequent owners of the product. Liability under this war-
ranty is limited to replacement products or refund at EuroCentra’s discretion.
In no event shall liability exceed the purchase price paid by the purchaser of
the product. Under no circumstances shall there be liability for any loss, loss
of profits, direct, indirect incidental, special or consequential damage arising
out of in connection with use of this product.
This warranty is only valid in the United States. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights. However, you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
Some states do not allow limitation on implied warranties or exclusion of
consequential damages therefore these restrictions may not apply to you.
Due to constant product development and market changes, EuroCentra, Inc.,
can only guarantee that replacements will be available within the two year
warranty period.

Maintenance and Cleaning
The kitchen scale must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
Wipe the scale clean using a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Uso designado
La báscula de cocina está diseñada para pesar alimentos y pequeños
artículos del hogar. No es apta para su uso en un entorno comercial.
Peligrosa para los niños
Las pilas pueden ser peligrosas. Mantenga la báscula y las pilas fuera del
alcance de los niños. En caso de ingestión de una pila, obtenga asistencia
médica inmediatamente.
Mantenga a los niños alejados del material de empaque. Asegúrese de

Inserte la pila
1. Abra el compartimiento para la pila ubicado en la parte inferior de la báscula.
2. Inserte la pila suministrada tal y como se indica en la imagen en el compar-
timiento para la pila. Asegúrese de que la polaridad sea la correcta (+/-)
3. Cierre el compartimiento.

No sobrecargue la báscula; la capacidad máxima es de 11 libras (5 kg).
Pesado de artículos sólidos
1. Coloque la báscula sobre una superficie firme y nivelada.
Retire el cuenco de la báscula.
2. Encienda la báscula apretando el botón ON/OFF/TARE. Después de unos
segundos, la pantalla mostrará “0: 0.0”. La báscula está ahora calibrada y
puede empezar a pesar.
3. Si desea pesar objetos en el cuenco, coloque el recipiente vacío en la báscula.
4. Presione el botón ON/OFF/TARE de nuevo, la pantalla mostrará “0: 0.0”.
Esto elimina el peso del cuenco.
5. Presione el botón MODE varias veces, hasta que aparezca una pequeña barra
sobre “Weight” en la pantalla. La báscula está lista.
6. Coloque lo que desee pesar en el recipiente.
El peso medido se mostrará en la pantalla.
Pesado de líquidos
La báscula de cocina muestra el peso del agua y de la leche en
onzas líquidas (fl oz) o mililitros (ml) al utilizar el cuenco proporcionado.
1. Coloque la báscula sobre una superficie firme y nivelada.
2. Encienda la báscula apretando el botón ON/OFF/TARE. Retire el cuenco de la
báscula. Después de unos segundos, la pantalla mostrará “0.0”. La báscula está
ahora calibrada y puede comenzar a pesar.
3. Coloque el cuenco sobre la superficie de pesado.
4. Presione el botón ON/OFF/TARE de nuevo. La pantalla muestra “0.0”.
5. Presione el botón MODE varias veces, hasta que aparezca una pequeña barra
sobre “Milk” o “Water” en la pantalla. La báscula está lista.
6. Vierta el líquido en el recipiente. El peso medido se mostrará en la pantalla.

Cómo agregar artículos para pesarlos
Esta función es práctica si desea agregar otro ingrediente a un ingrediente que ya se
encuentra en la báscula.
1. Presione el botón ON/OFF/TARE para poner la báscula a 0.
2. Agregue los nuevos artículos que desee pesar.
3. En la pantalla se mostrará el peso de los artículos que haya agregado.
4. Repita el proceso si desea agregar más ingredientes.
Cambio de las unidades de medida
La báscula puede pesar y mostrar pesos en gramos (g) y mililitros (ml), o en libras/
onzas (lb:oz) y onzas líquidas (fl oz). Por defecto, la báscula está configurada para
mostrar el peso en libras y onzas.
1. Encienda la báscula.
2. Presione el botón M/I situado en la parte posterior de la báscula para cambiar
las unidades de medida.
Mensaje de sobrecarga
La pantalla muestra el mensaje O-Ld para indicar que se ha superado la capacidad
máxima de 11 libras (5 kg) de la báscula.
Reinicio
Vuelva a calibrar la báscula si la pantalla muestra valores inusuales o incorrec
-
tos. Presione una vez el botón de reinicio (Reset) situado en la parte inferior de la
báscula. Todos los segmentos led de la pantalla se encenderán al mismo tiempo
por un breve instante. A continuación, la báscula se apagará. Enciéndala de nuevo
apretando el botón ON/OFF/TARE.
Apagado de la báscula
Mantenga el botón ON/OFF/TARE presionado hasta que la pantalla se apague.
Aviso: la báscula se apagará automáticamente si no se utiliza por unos 60
segundos. Cuando se muestra un símbolo con el aspecto de una pila en la
esquina superior izquierda de la pantalla, la pila debe sustituirse.

calidad. Este producto está garantizado de estar libre de defectos de fabricación y
de mano de obra durante dos años con comprobante de recibo de compra.
La garantía quedará anulada si el defecto se debe a daños accidentales, uso
indebido, abuso, negligencia, reparación inadecuada o alteración realizada por
personas no autorizadas o incumplimiento de las instrucciones de operación
proporcionadas con el producto. Esta garantía no es aplicable al uso comercial.
