Intended use
The car charging adapter is a retrofit part for connection
to the on-board power socket, and is only intended
for charging and operating cellular phones and 5V
devices with a USB port. The car charging adapter is
only suitable for vehicles in which the negative pole
of the battery is in contact with the body. Due to
the Smart Fast Charge technology used, a reduced
charging time is possible for compatible devices.
Compatible connected devices are automatically
signaled that they are using the maximum available
charging current. Any other use or use beyond the
scope described in these operating instructions is
considered improper and can result in damages and
injuries. Claims of any kind for damages resulting
from improper use or unauthorized modifications will
not be considered. This product is intended for private
use only and not for commercial applications.

Warning types

This symbol can be found on the housing of
the car charging adapter and indicates that
the operating instructions should be followed.
Safety instructions
■ Before use, check the device for visible external
damage. Do not operate a device that is damaged
or has been dropped.
■ Damaged cables or connections should be
replaced by authorized qualified specialists or
by the customer service department.
■ Protect the device from moisture and liquid
penetration.
■ Never subject the device to extreme heat or humidity.
This applies especially when storing it in a car.
During long immobile periods car interiors and
glove boxes build up extreme heat levels. Remove
electrical and electronic devices from the car.
■ This device is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with limited physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/
or knowledge unless they are supervised by a
person who is responsible for their safety, or
receive instructions from this person on how to use
the device. Children should be supervised to make
sure that they do not play with the device.
■ Do not allow children
to play with the packaging material! Keep all
packaging materials away from children. Risk of
suffocation!
■ The package contents
contain small parts that could be swallowed.
If a part is swallowed, seek medical advice
immediately.
■ Do not operate the device while you are driving
a car or other vehicle. This presents a source of
danger in road traffic.
■ When using the car charger, ensure that it does
not interfere with the steering, braking or the op-
eration of other vehicle systems (such as airbags)
and does not restrict your field of vision when
driving.
■ Do not place the car charger or the connection
cable in or near the expansion area of the airbag,
since the charger could be flung through the vehicle
interior in the event of airbag deployment and
cause serious injuries.
■ If you notice a burning smell or smoke coming
from the device, disconnect it from the power
supply immediately.
■ Never open the housing. Opening the housing
will invalidate the warranty.

Package contents
Before initial operation check the package contents to
make sure everything is present and look for signs of
visible damage. If the delivery is incomplete or dam-
age has occurred as a result of defective packaging
or during transport, contact the customer service
hotline (see section about "3 year limited warranty").
Remove all packaging materials from the device.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an
environmentally friendly manner.

Operation
Unpack the charging device and all adapters and
look for the adapter suitable for your mobile phone.
► Note the specifications of your mobile phone!
Mobile phones with a supply voltage of less than
5 V can be damaged by charging them via this
adapter. In this case, use the original connecting
cable supplied with your mobile phone and con-
nect it to the USB port of the charger.
To charge an iPhone/iPod/iPad, use the original
cable with the USB port. First check to make sure
that the adapter fits.
▯Do not apply excessive force to avoid damage to
the connector. This also applies to removing the
connector.
♦ Now plug the charging device into the 12/24V
power socket of your car. Generally, this is the
cigarette lighter socket in the dashboard of your
car. Numerous vehicles have a second socket in
the rear seat area or in the trunk. 24 Volt batteries
are primarily used in trucks or on boats.
♦ The white LED in the housing indicates that the
charger is ready for operation and also lights up
when no cellular phone is connected. Depending
on the vehicle type it is possible that the ignition
has to be turned on first. The charging process
begins immediately and is shown in your mobile
phone’s display.
♦ When your mobile phone shows a fully charged
battery, remove the charging device from the
12/24V connection. Remove the charging device
only by grasping the plug; never pull it out by the
power cord.

► Never connect the device without charging your
mobile phone! The device also consumes power in
standby mode and therefore must be disconnected
from the on-board power supply after use! If the
motor is not running, the battery will otherwise be
discharged.
Troubleshooting
A connected device won’t charge (the white
LED in the housing does not light up)
► No connection to cigarette lighter. Check the
connection.
► Depending on the vehicle type, the ignition may
have to be switched on first.
The white LED in the housing goes out after a
device is connected
► The charger is overloaded and no longer charges
the connected devices. The internal fuse tripped.
Disconnect all connected devices from the charger.
The white LED will light up right away and the
charger is again operational.
▯If you cannot solve the problem with the above
steps, please contact the customer service hotline
(see 3 year limited warranty section).
Cleaning and storage
► Always disconnect the device from the 12/24V
connection during cleaning and when it is not
being used.
► The temperatures inside the car can reach extreme
values in summer and winter. For this reason, do not
store the device in the vehicle to prevent damage
to your vehicle.
► Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based
cleaners. They can attack the surfaces of the device.
♦ When necessary clean the device with a soft cloth.
♦ Store the device in a clean, dry, dust-free place
and out of direct sunlight.
Disposal
Electrical devices may not be thrown away as part of
normal household trash. If you can no longer use your
electrical device, dispose of it in accordance with
the legal provisions applicable in your state. This will
ensure that old electrical devices are recycled and
environmental pollution is kept to a minimum. Further
information about disposal is available on the Internet
at www.epa.gov.
3 year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
▯ Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
▯ Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or
failure to follow the safety and maintenance instruc-
tions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
▯ Normal wear and tear of the product, including
fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
▯ Improper use or transport;
▯ Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
▯ Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire,
water, etc.);
▯ Tampering with the product (such as removing
cover, unscrewing screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not
covered under this warranty. However, some states do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and
warranty resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or
replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:

Uso previsto
El adaptador de carga para auto es una pieza de
adaptación para la conexión en una toma de corriente

Uso del dispositivo
Desempaque el dispositivo y todos los adaptadores,
y busque el adaptador adecuado para su teléfono
celular.
► ¡Observe las especificaciones en su teléfono
celular! Los teléfonos celulares con un voltaje de
alimentación menor de 5 V pueden dañarse al
cargarlos con este adaptador. En este caso, use
el cable de conexión original incluido con su
teléfono celular y conéctelo al puerto USB del
cargador.
Para cargar un iPhone, iPod o iPad, use el cable
original con el puerto USB. Verifique primero para

♦ Ahora conecte el dispositivo de carga en la toma
de corriente de 12/24 V de su automóvil.
Generalmente, esta es la toma de corriente del
encendedor de cigarrillos que está en el tablero
de su auto. Una gran cantidad de vehículos tienen
una segunda toma de corriente en el asiento
trasero o en la cajuela. En camiones o en botes se
usan principalmente baterías de 24 voltios.
♦ El LED blanco en la carcasa indica que el cargador
está listo para usarse y también se ilumina cuando
no hay un teléfono celular conectado. Dependiendo
del tipo de vehículo, es posible que primero deba
activarse el encendido. El proceso de carga empie-
za inmediatamente y se muestra en la pantalla de

♦ Cuando su teléfono celular muestre que la batería
está completamente cargada, retire el dispositivo
de carga de la toma de 12/24 V. Retire el dispo-
sitivo de carga solamente por el enchufe; nunca lo
jale del cable eléctrico.
► ¡Nunca conecte el dispositivo sin cargar su
teléfono celular! El dispositivo también consume
energía en modo de espera, y por lo tanto debe
desconectarse de la alimentación eléctrica a
bordo después de usarse. Si el motor no está
funcionando, la batería se descargará.
Solución de problemas
El dispositivo conectado no carga (el LED blanco

► No hay conexión con el encendedor de cigarrillos.
Revise la conexión.

los dispositivos conectados. El fusible interno se

Limpieza y almacenamiento
► Siempre desconecte el dispositivo de la toma de
12/24 V para limpiarlo y cuando no se use.
► Las temperaturas dentro del vehículo pueden
alcanzar niveles extremos en verano y en invierno.
Por esta razón, no guarde el dispositivo en el
vehículo para prevenir daño a este.
► No use limpiadores cáusticos, abrasivos ni a base
de solventes. Estos pueden dañar las superficies
del dispositivo.
♦ Cuando sea necesario, limpie el dispositivo con
un paño suave.
♦ Guarde el dispositivo en un lugar limpio, seco y
sin polvo, y alejado de la luz solar directa.
Eliminación
Los electrodomésticos no deben ser desechados
como parte de la basura doméstica normal. Si ya no
puede usar su dispositivo eléctrico, elimínelo de con-
formidad con las disposiciones legales aplicables en
su estado. Esto asegura que los dispositivos eléctricos
usados sean reciclados y la contaminación ambiental

Garantía limitada de 3 años

La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos
o emergentes. Sin embargo algunos estados no

Período de cobertura y resolución de la
garantía
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha

devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.
La empresa no:
