WARNING
Make sure that the loudspeaker is securely installed in a stable position to avoid any injuries or damages to
persons or properties. For safety reasons do not place one loudspeaker on top of another without proper
fastening systems. Before hanging the loudspeaker check all the components for damages, deformations, missing
or damaged parts that may compromise safety during installation. If you use the loudspeakers outdoor avoid
spots exposed to bad weather conditions.
The external wiring connected to speaker output terminals requires installation by qualied personnel only. Once
the equipment is installed, prevent access to the connectors to unqualied personnel. Only use the accessories
and congurations described in this manual, and proceed in accordance with the instructions given in
the manuals for the accessories. dBTechnologies will not accept any responsibility for damages caused by
inappropriate accessories or additional devices.

PANORAMICA INTRODUTTIVA
I subwoofer della serie IS sono progettati pensando alle speciche esigenze degli installatori. Le dimensioni
compatte ne fanno un ottimo elemento per situazioni in cui sia richiesto un rinforzo all’impianto audio con la
massima discrezione; le varianti di colore nero o bianco danno ai subwoofer un look elegante, rendendoli adatti
a qualsiasi contesto commerciale e istituzionale. Assicurano un collegamento facile e veloce grazie ai connettori
Euroblock (Phoenix) Le caratteristiche principali sono:

IS8S
IS8S è equipaggiato con un woofer da 8” (VC 2”).
IS12S

I subwoofer possono essere facilmente appesi grazie a 16 punti di ancoraggio lettati per viti/golfari M8. Per
maggiori dettagli consultare la sezione INSTALLAZIONE di questo manuale.
PROTEZIONE CONTRO I CORPI SOLIDI E LIQUIDI (GRADO IP)
I presenti diffusori sono protetti contro l’ingresso di corpi solidi e liquidi esterni con grado di protezione IP32
secondo la EN 60529 sia in posizione orizzontale che verticale.
I cavi di connessione dei diffusori all’amplicatore devono avere un diametro di 8mm (0.31 inch.).
Il non rispetto delle presenti prescrizioni di installazione, potrebbe non garantire le prestazioni
di protezione dichiarate.
2. COLLEGAMENTI
COLLEGAMENTO E RILANCIO DEL SEGNALE AUDIO
L’ingresso audio e il rilancio ad un altro subwoofer avviene tramite connessione Euroblock (Phoenix); i connettori
sono protetti da un pannello metallico facilmente removibile svitando le quattro viti che lo ssano al box.
Collegare la sorgente audio (proveniente ad es. da un amplicatore o altro subwoofer/diffusore) al morsetto
INPUT tramite il connettore femmina incluso, rispettando la polarità indicata vicino ai connettori (positivo con
positivo, negativo con negativo). Il rilancio a un altro subwoofer avviene in maniera analoga: collegare l’uscita
LINK del subwoofer all’ingresso INPUT di quello successivo rispettando la polarità (positivo con positivo, negativo
con negativo).

INSTALLAZIONE A PAVIMENTO
I subwoofer IS8S, IS12S sono progettati per l’installazione a pavimento sia in orizzontale che in verticale. Per
evitare lo scivolamento, sono inclusi dei piedini di gomma da applicare sulla supercie che andrà appoggiata a
pavimento.

È possibile appendere i subwoofer utilizzando dei golfari M8 (non forniti) montati al posto delle viti di ssaggio
poste sulle superci laterali.
Non togliere entrambe le viti di ssaggio e utilizzare solo un golfare per ogni punto di appendibilità.

INTRODUCTORY OVERVIEW
The IS series of subwoofers have been designed with the specic needs of installers in mind. The compact
dimensions make them ideal for situations which require unobtrusive sound reinforcement; available in black or
white versions, the elegant design of these subwoofers make them a perfect t in any commercial or institutional
setting. Connection is quick and easy thanks to the Eurobock (Phoenix) connectors. The main features are:

MECHANICAL FEATURES
The subwoofers can be easily suspended thanks to the 16 threaded anchor points provided for M8 screws/
eyebolts. For further details, refer to the INSTALLATION section of this manual.
PROTECTION AGAINST SOLID OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS (IP RATING)
The speakers are protected against the ingress of solid objects and liquids with a rating of IP32 as dened by EN
60529 in both horizontal and vertical positions.
The cables connecting the speakers to the amplier must have a diameter of at least 8mm (0.31 inch).
Failure to comply with these installation prescriptions could adversely affect the declared
protection ratings.
2. CONNECTIONS
CONNECTING AND LINKING THE AUDIO SIGNAL
The audio input and link to another subwoofer are connected via Euroblock (Phoenix) connectors; the connectors
are protected under a metal panel that is easily removed by unscrewing the four screws securing it to the cabinet.
Connect the audio source (e.g., from an amplier or another subwoofer/speaker) to the INPUT terminal using
the provided female connectors, respecting the polarity markings next to the connectors (positive to positive,
negative to negative). The audio signal can be linked to another subwoofer in a similar way: connect the LINK
output of the subwoofer to the INPUT terminal of the next subwoofer respecting the polarity (positive to positive,
negative to negative).

3. MAIN ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE
FLOOR INSTALLATION
The IS8S and IS12S subwoofers are designed to stand on the oor in either a horizontal of vertical position. To
prevent the subwoofer sliding around, it is supplied with rubber feet that can be afxed to the side of the cabinet
in contact with the oor.

The subwoofer can be suspended using M8 eyebolts (not supplied) tted in place of the xing screws on the sides
of the unit.

SCHUTZ GEGEN FESTSTOFFE UND FLÜSSIGKEITEN (IP-SCHUTZART)
Diese Lautsprecher sind gegen das Eindringen von Feststoffen und Flüssigkeiten mit Schutzart IP32 gemäß
EN 60529 geschützt.
Die Anschlusskabel der Lautsprecher am Verstärker müssen einen Durchmesser von 8mm aufweisen (0.31 inch).
Bei Missachtung dieser Installationsanweisungen können die deklarierten Schutzleistungen nicht
garantiert werden.
2. ANSCHLÜSSE
ANSCHLUSS UND WEITERLEITUNG DES AUDIOSIGNALS
Der Audioeingang und das Durchschleifen zu einem anderen Lautsprecher erfolgt mittels Euroblock-Anschluss
(Phoenix); die Verbinder sind durch eine am Gehäuse verschraubte Metallplatte geschützt, die durch Lösen der
vier Befestigungsschrauben leicht abnehmbar ist.
Die Audioquelle (z. B. von einem Verstärker oder anderen Subwoofer/Lautsprecher) an die INPUT-Klemme mit die
weiblich Anschluss zur Verfügung gestellt unter Beachtung der neben den Anschlüssen angegebenen Polarität
anschließen (Plus mit Plus, Minus mit Minus). Das Durchschleifen zu einem anderen Lautsprecher erfolgt analog:
den LINK-Ausgang des Lautsprechers mit dem INPUT-Eingang des nächsten Lautsprechers unter Beachtung der
Polarität anschließen (Plus mit Plus, Minus mit Minus).

BODENINSTALLATION
Die Subwoofer IS8S, IS12S sind für die horizontale oder vertikale Bodeninstallation ausgelegt. Mitgelieferte
Rutschhemmer aus Gummi, die an der Auageäche angebracht werden, gewährleisten einen sicheren Stand.

Die Hängemontage der Subwoofer wird mit M8 Ringschrauben (nicht mitgeliefert) ermöglicht, die anstelle der
Befestigungsschrauben an den Seitenächen montiert werden.
Nicht beide Befestigungsschrauben entfernen und nur eine Ringschraube pro Hängestelle verwenden.

INTRODUCTION
Les caissons de graves de la série IS sont conçus en tenant compte des besoins spéciques des installateurs.
Les dimensions compactes en font un excellent élément pour les situations dans lesquelles un renforcement
du système audio est requis avec la plus grande discrétion ; les variantes de couleur noir ou blanc donnent aux
caissons un aspect élégant, les rendant adaptés à tout contexte commercial et institutionnel. Ils assurent un
branchement simple et rapide grâce aux connecteurs Euroblock (Phoenix). Les principales caractéristiques sont :

Les caissons de graves s'accrochent facilement grâce à 16 points d'ancrage letés pour vis/boulons à œil M8. Pour
plus de détails, reportez-vous à la section INSTALLATION de ce manuel.
PROTECTION CONTRE LES CORPS SOLIDES ET LIQUIDES (DEGRÊ IP)
Ces enceintes sont protégées contre la pénétration de corps solides et liquides externes avec un degré de
protection IP32 selon EN 60529 en position horizontale et verticale.
Les câbles reliant les enceintes à l'amplicateur doivent avoir un diamètre de 8mm (0.31 inch.).
Le non-respect de ces prescriptions d'installation peut ne pas garantir les performances de
protection déclarées.
2. CONNEXIONS
BRANCHEMENT ET RELANCE DU SIGNAL AUDIO
L'entrée audio et le relais vers une autre enceinte s'effectuent via une connexion Euroblock (Phoenix) ; les
connecteurs sont protégés par un panneau métallique facilement démontable en dévissant les quatre vis qui le
xent au caisson.
Brancher la source audio (provenant par exemple d'un amplicateur ou d’un autre caisson de graves/enceinte) à la
borne INPUT avec le fourni femelle connecteurs en respectant la polarité indiquée à proximité des connecteurs (positif
avec positif, négatif avec négatif). Le relais vers un autre caisson de graves s'effectue de la même manière : connecter
la sortie LINK du caisson de graves à l'entrée INPUT du caisson suivant en respectant la polarité (positif avec positif,
négatif avec négatif).

Les caissons de graves IS8S, IS12S sont conçus pour une installation au sol horizontale ou verticale. Pour éviter de
glisser, des pieds en caoutchouc sont inclus à appliquer sur la surface qui sera posée au sol.

vis de xation sur les surfaces latérales.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Los subwoofers de la serie IS se han diseñado pensando en las necesidades especícas de los instaladores. Por
sus dimensiones compactas son un elemento excelente para cuando se requiera reforzar la instalación de audio
con la máxima discreción; su color negro o blanco aporta aporta un aspecto elegante a los subwoofers, siendo
adecuados para cualquier entorno comercial e institucional. Aseguran una conexión fácil y rápida gracias a los
conectores Euroblock (Phoenix). Las características principales son:

Los subwoofers se pueden colgar fácilmente gracias a 16 puntos de anclaje roscados para tornillos/cáncamos M8.
Para más detalles, consulte el apartado INSTALACIÓN de este manual.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA CUERPOS EXTRAÑOS Y LÍQUIDOS (GRADO IP)
Estos subwoofers están protegidos contra la entrada de cuerpos sólidos y líquidos con grado de protección IP32
de conformidad a la norma EN 60529, tanto en posición horizontal como vertical.
Los cables de conexión de los altavoces al amplicador deben tener un diámetro de 8mm (0.31 in).
En caso de incumplimiento de estas instrucciones de instalación no se garantizan las
prestaciones de protección declaradas.
2. CONEXIONES
CONEXIÓN Y TRANSMISIÓN DE LA SEÑAL DE AUDIO
La entrada de audio y la transmisión a otro altavoz se realizan mediante conexión Euroblock (Phoenix); los
conectores están protegidos por un panel metálico que se retira fácilmente soltando los cuatro tornillos que lo
sujetan a la carcasa.
Conecte la fuente de sonido (procedente, por ejemplo, de un amplicador u otro subwoofer/altavoz) al borne
INPUT con el conector femenino provisto respetando la polaridad indicada cerca de los conectores (positivo con
positivo, negativo con negativo). La transmisión a otro subwoofer se realiza de forma similar: conecte la salida
LINK del subwoofer a la entrada INPUT del siguiente respetando la polaridad (positivo con positivo, negativo con
negativo).

INSTALACIÓN AL SUELO
Los subwoofers IS8S, IS12S están diseñados para la instalación en suelo tanto horizontal como vertical. Para evitar
su desplazamiento, se suministran patas de goma para colocar en la supercie que irá apoyada al suelo.
