1. Description
The EL-5829 is a 2-Way wireless keypad with LCD display used to remotely
program and operate the iConnect 2-Way systems.
The keypad's functionality is identical to the keys on the iConnect 2-Way front panel.
Note: Programming mode can be established either from a keypad or from the
main panel, but not simultaneously.

2. Installation
Registration
The EL-5829 keypad must identify itself to the system receiver. This is done by
registering the keypad to the iConnect 2-Way, as follows.
1. Set the system to Registration mode.
a. Go to the main menu and select [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programming > Devices > Keypads).
b. Select a keypad (1 - 4).
2. Release the mounting bracket.
3. Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries. Pay attention to the
correct polarity.
4. As soon as 'Save?' appears on the Control System’s LCD screen, press '√'.

Deleting a Keypad
➢ To delete a wireless keypad from the system:
1. Set the system to Delete mode.
a. Go to the main menu and select [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programming > Devices > Keypads).
b. Select a keypad (1 - 4).
c. Select the Delete menu.
d. Press > .
2. Take out the keypad batteries.
3. Insert the batteries.
4. Within a 30-second time period, press and simultaneously for
three seconds; the keypad will display the software version and
'Not Registered'.
Wall Mounting
After the keypad has been registered to the system mount the keypad on the wall
using the supplied mounting bracket.
Notes:
1. Before mounting the keypad test the keypad communication with the system.
To do so, try to arm the system using one of the arming buttons on the wireless
keypad (see Figure 1).
2. Minimum mounting distance between the wireless keypad and the panel is
1.5m.

➢ To mount the keypad:
1. Release the mounting bracket.
2. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the supplied screws (see
figure 1).

3. Attach the wireless keypad to the mounting bracket by sliding the keypad
down onto the bracket‘s four hooks (see figure 2).

3. Main User Operations

Emergency Keys
The following operations will send emergency notifications to the alarm monitoring
station.

5. Replacing Batteries
When the batteries need to be replaced the indicator will flash.
➢ To replace the batteries:
1. From the control panel, long press to enter replace battery mode.
2. Remove the keypad from the wall.
3. Open the battery compartment (see Figure 4).

4. Pull out the batteries and replace them with new ones. Pay attention to the
polarity when inserting the new batteries (see Figure 5)

5. Close the battery compartment and put back the keypad to its place.
6. Keypad Settings
Note: The following settings must be defined individually for each keypad
connected to the system.
➢ To define keypad settings when idle follow this procedure:
1. Press for five seconds until the Keypad Settings menu appears.
2. Select the relevant icon using the keys:

1. Description
Le clavier bidirectionnel sans fil EL-5829 avec écran LCD permet de programmer
et de commander à distance les systèmes bidirectionnels iConnect.
Le clavier offre les mêmes fonctionnalités que les touches du panneau avant du
système bidirectionnel iConnect.
Remarque : vous pouvez activer le mode de programmation soit à l'aide d’un
clavier soit via la centrale ; l’utilisation simultanée de ces deux éléments est
toutefois impossible.

2. Installation
Enregistration
Le clavier EL-5829 doit s’identifier sur le récepteur du système. Pour cela, il est
nécessaire d'enregistrer le clavier sur le système bidirectionnel iConnect en
procédant comme suit :
1. Configurez le système sur le mode d’enregistrement.
a. Accédez au menu principal et sélectionnez [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programmation > Périphériques > Claviers).
b. Sélectionnez un clavier (1 - 4).
2. Desserrez le support de montage.

3. Ouvrez le compartiment à piles et insérez les piles. Veillez à respecter les
polarités.
4. Lorsque l’indication « Enregistrer ? » s'affiche sur l’écran LCD du système
de contrôle, appuyez sur « √ ».
Suppression d’un clavier
➢ Pour supprimer un clavier sans fil du système :
1. Configurez le mode de suppression sur le système.
a. Accédez au menu principal et sélectionnez [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programmation > Périphériques > Claviers).
b. Sélectionnez un clavier (1 - 4).
c. Sélectionnez le menu Supprimer.
d. Appuyez sur > .
2. Retirez les piles du clavier.
3. Insérez les piles.
4. Attendez 30 secondes, puis appuyez simultanément sur les touches
et pendant trois secondes ; le clavier indique la version logicielle et
l’indication « Non enregistré » s’affiche.

Montage mural
Une fois le clavier enregistré sur le système, fixez-le au mur à l'aide du support
de montage fourni.
Remarques :
1. Avant d'installer le clavier, vérifiez qu'il communique correctement avec le
système. Pour ce faire, essayez d’armer le système à l'aide de l’une des
touches d’armement du clavier sans fil (reportez-vous à la Figure 1).
2. La distance de montage minimale entre le clavier sans fil et la centrale est de
1,5 m.
➢ Pour monter le clavier :
1. Desserrez le support de montage.
2. Fixez le support de montage au mur à l’aide des vis fournies (reportez-
vous à la Figure 1).

3. Fixez le clavier sans fil au support de montage ; pour cela, insérez-le dans
les quatre crochets du support (reportez-vous à la Figure 2).

5. Remplacement des piles
Lorsqu’il est nécessaire de remplacer les piles, le témoin clignote.
➢ Pour remplacer les piles :
1. Sur la centrale, appuyez longuement sur pour accéder au mode de
remplacement des piles.
2. Retirez le clavier du mur.
3. Ouvrez le compartiment à piles (reportez-vous à la Figure 4).

1. Descripción

2. Instalación
Registro
El teclado EL-5829 debe identificarse con el receptor del sistema. Lo hace
mediante el registro del teclado en el iConnect bidireccional del modo siguiente.
1. Ajuste el sistema en modo de registro.

4. En cuanto aparezca el mensaje '¿Guardar?' en la pantalla LCD del sistema
de control, presione '√'.
Eliminación de un teclado
➢ Para eliminar un teclado inalámbrico del sistema:
1. Ajuste el sistema en modo Eliminar.
a. Vaya al menú principal y seleccione [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programación > Dispositivos > Teclados).
b. Seleccione el teclado (1– 4).
c. Seleccione el menú Eliminar.
d. Presione > .
2. Retire las pilas del teclado.
3. Vuelva a introducir las pilas.
4. En el transcurso de 30 segundos, presione y al mismo tiempo
durante tres segundos; el teclado mostrará la versión del software y el
mensaje 'No registrado'.
Montaje en pared
Una vez registrado el teclado en el sistema, monte el teclado en la pared usando
el soporte de montaje suministrado.
NOTAS:
1. Antes de montar el teclado, pruebe la comunicación del teclado con el
sistema. Para ello, intente armar el sistema con uno de los botones de armado
del teclado inalámbrico (ver Figura 1).
2. La distancia mínima de montaje entre el teclado inalámbrico y el panel es
1,5 m.

2. Coloque el soporte de montaje en la pared usando los tornillos
suministrados (ver Figura 1).

5. Reemplazo de las pilas
Cuando sea necesario reemplazar las pilas, el indicador parpadeará.
➢ Para reemplazar las pilas:
1. Desde el panel de control, realice una pulsación larga para acceder al
modo de reemplazo de las pilas.
2. Quite el teclado de la pared.
3. Abra el compartimento de las pilas (ver Figura 4).

4. Retire las pilas y reemplazarlas por unas nuevas. Preste atención a la polaridad
al insertar las pilas nuevas (ver Figura 5).

5. Cierre el compartimento de las pilas y vuelva a colocar el teclado en su sitio.
6. Ajustes del teclado
Nota: es preciso definir los siguientes ajustes de forma individual en cada
teclado conectado al sistema.
➢ Para definir los ajustes del teclado mientras está inactivo, siga
el procedimiento que se describe a continuación:
1. Presione durante cinco segundos hasta que aparezca el menú Ajustes del
teclado.
2. Seleccione el icono correspondiente con los botones :

2. Installation
Registrierung
Das Bedienteil EL-5829 muss sich gegenüber dem Systemempfänger identifizieren.
Dazu wird das Bedienteil wie folgt bei iConnect 2-Wege registriert:
1. Stellen Sie das System in den Registrierungsmodus.
a. Gehen Sie zum Hauptmenü und wählen Sie [9]>[1]>[3]
(Programming > Devices > Keypads (Programmierung > Module >
Bedienteile)).
b. Wählen Sie ein Bedienteil (1 - 4).
2. Lösen Sie den Montagehalter.
3. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach und legen Sie die Batterien ein. Achten Sie auf
die korrekte Polarität.

4. Sobald „Save? (Speichern?)“ auf dem LCD-Bildschirm der Zentrale
erscheint, drücken Sie „√“.
Bedienteil löschen
➢ Löschen eines Funk-Bedienteils aus dem System:
1. Gehen Sie zum Hauptmenü und wählen Sie.
a. [9]>[1]>[3](Programming > Devices > Keypads (Programmierung >
Module > Bedienteile))
b. Wählen Sie ein Bedienteil (1-4).
c. Wählen Sie das Löschmenü.
d. Drücken Sie .
2. Nehmen Sie die Batterien dem Bedienteil heraus.
3. Legen Sie die Batterien ein.
4. Drücken Sie gleichzeitig und drei Sekunden lang innerhalb
eines Zeitraums von 30 Sekunden. Auf dem Bedienteil werden die
Softwareversion und „Not Registered (Nicht registriert)“ angezeigt.
Wandmontage
Nachdem das Bedienteil im System registriert wurde, montieren Sie das
Bedienteil mit der mitgelieferten Montagehalterung an der Wand.
Hinweise:
1. Testen Sie vor der Montage die Kommunikation des Bedienteils mit dem
System. Versuchen Sie dazu, das System mit einer der Aktivierungstasten auf
dem Funk-Bedienteil zu aktivieren (siehe Abbildung 1).
2. Der Mindest-Montageabstand zwischen Funk-Bedienteil und Zentrale beträgt
1,5 m.

5. Batterien wechseln
Wenn die Batterien gewechselt werden müssen, blinkt die Anzeige .
➢ Ersetzen der Batterien:
1. Drücken Sie auf dem Bedienfeld lange auf , um den
Batteriewechselmodus aufzurufen.
2. Entfernen Sie das Bedienteil von der Wand.
3. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach (siehe Abbildung 4).

beim Einlegen der neuen Batterien auf die Polarität (siehe Abbildung 5).

EL-5829 er et 2-vejs trådløst tastatur med LCD-display, der anvendes til
fjernprogrammering og -betjening af iConnect 2-vejssystemer.
Tastaturets funktionalitet er identisk med den, der findes på iConnect 2-vejs
frontpanel.
Bemærk: Programmeringstilstand kan aktiveres enten fra et tastatur eller fra

2. Installation
Registrering
EL-5829 tastatur skal registres i systemets modtager. Dette gøres ved at
registrere tastaturet i iConnect 2-vejs, som følger.
1. Sæt systemet i registreringstilstand.
a. Gå ind i hovedmenuen, og vælg [9]>[1]>[3] (Programming > Devices
> Keypads (programmering > enheder > tastaturer)).
b. Vælg et tastatur (1 – 4).
2. Udløs monteringsbeslaget.
3. Åbn batterirummet, og læg batterierne i. Vær opmærksom på korrekt polaritet.
4. Når 'Save?' (gem?) vises på kontrolsystemets LCD-display, skal du trykke på '√'.

Sletning af et tastatur
➢ Hvis du vil slette et trådløst tastatur fra systemet:
1. Sæt systemet i slettetilstand.
a. Gå ind i hovedmenuen, og vælg [9]>[1]>[3] (Programming > Devices

b. Vælg et tastatur (1 – 4).
c. Vælg menuen til sletning.
d. Tryk > .
2. Tag batterierne ud af tastaturet.
3. Sæt batterierne i.
4. Tryk samtidig på og indenfor 30 sekunder, og hold tasterne
inde i tre sekunder. Tastaturet viser softwareversionen og
'Not Registered'(ikke registreret).
Montering på væg
Når tastaturet er blevet registreret i systemet, skal det monteres på væggen med
det medfølgende monteringsbeslag.
Bemærk:
1. Før opsætning af tastaturet skal du kontrollere, at tastaturet kan
kommunikere med systemet. Dette gøres ved at prøve at aktivere systemet
ved hjælp af en af aktiveringsknapperne på det trådløse tastatur (se Fig. 1).
2. Mindste monteringsafstand mellem det trådløse tastatur og panelet er 1,5 m.

5. Udskiftning af batterier

Standard Limited Product Warranty (“Limited Warranty”)
RISCO Ltd. (“RISCO") guarantee RISCO’s hardware products (“Products”) to be free from defects
in materials and workmanship when used and stored under normal conditions and in accordance
with the instructions for use supplied by RISCO, for a period of (i) 24 months from the date of
delivery of the Product (the “Warranty Period”). This Limited Warranty covers the Product only
within the country where the Product was originally purchased and only covers Products
purchased as new.
Contact with customers only. This Limited Warranty is solely for the benefit of customers who
purchased the Products directly from RISCO or from an authorized distributor of RISCO. RISCO
does not warrant the Product to consumers and nothing in this Warranty obligates RISCO to accept
Product returns directly from end users who purchased the Products for their own use from
RISCO’s customer or from any installer of RISCO, or otherwise provide warranty or other services
to any such end user directly. RISCO’s authorized distributor or installer shall handle all
interactions with its end users in connection with this Limited Warranty. RISCO’s authorized
distributor or installer shall make no warranties, representations, guarantees or statements to its
end users or other third parties that suggest that RISCO has any warranty or service obligation to,
or any contractual privy with, any recipient of a Product.
Remedies. In the event that a material defect in a Product is discovered and reported to RISCO
during the Warranty Period, RISCO shall accept return of the defective Product in accordance with
the below RMA procedure and, at its option, either (i) repair or have repaired the defective Product,
or (ii) provide a replacement product to the customer.
Return Material Authorization. In the event that you need to return your Product for repair or
replacement, RISCO will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#)
as well as return instructions. Do not return your Product without prior approval from RISCO. Any
Product returned without a valid, unique RMA# will be refused and returned to the sender at the
sender’s expense. The returned Product must be accompanied with a detailed description of the
defect discovered (“Defect Description”) and must otherwise follow RISCO’s then-current RMA
procedure published in RISCO’s website at www.riscogroup.com in connection with any such
return. If RISCO determines in its reasonable discretion that any Product returned by customer
conforms to the applicable warranty (“Non-Defective Product”), RISCO will notify the customer
of such determination and will return the applicable Product to customer at customer’s expense. In
addition, RISCO may propose and assess customer a charge for testing and examination of Non-
Defective Product.
Entire Liability. The repair or replacement of Products in accordance with this Limited Warranty
shall be RISCO’s entire liability and customer’s sole and exclusive remedy in case a material defect
in a Product is discovered and reported as required herein. RISCO’s obligation and this Limited
Warranty are contingent upon the full payment by customer for such Product and upon a proven
weekly testing and examination of the Product functionality.
Limitations. This Limited Warranty is the only warranty made by RISCO with respect to the
Products. The warranty is not transferable to any third party. To the maximum extent permitted by
applicable law, this Limited Warranty shall not apply and will be void if: (i) the conditions set forth

above are not met (including, but not limited to, full payment by customer for the Product and a
proven weekly testing and examination of the Product functionality); (ii) if the Products or any part
or component thereof: (a) have been subjected to improper operation or installation; (b) have been
subject to neglect, abuse, willful damage, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow RISCO’s
instructions (whether oral or in writing); (c) have been misused, altered, modified or repaired
without RISCO’s written approval or combined with, or installed on products, or equipment of the
customer or of any third party; (d) have been damaged by any factor beyond RISCO’s reasonable
control such as, but not limited to, power failure, electric power surges, or unsuitable third party
components and the interaction of software therewith or (e) any failure or delay in the performance
of the Product attributable to any means of communication provided by any third party service
provider, including, but not limited to, GSM interruptions, lack of or internet outage and/or
telephony failure. BATTERIES ARE EXPLICITLY EXCLUDED FROM THE WARRANTY AND
RISCO SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE IN RELATION THERETO, AND THE
ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE THERETO, IF ANY, IS THE BATTERY MANUFACTURER'S
WARRANTY. RISCO does not install or integrate the Product in the end user’s security system
and is therefore not responsible for and cannot guarantee the performance of the end user’s security
system which uses the Product or which the Product is a component of.
This Limited Warranty applies only to Products manufactured by or for RISCO. Further, this
Limited Warranty does not apply to any software (including operating system) added to or
provided with the Products or any third-party software, even if packaged or sold with the RISCO
Product. Manufacturers, suppliers, or third parties other than RISCO may provide their own
warranties, but RISCO, to the extent permitted by law and except as otherwise specifically set forth
herein, provides its Products “AS IS”. Software and applications distributed or made available by
RISCO in conjunction with the Product (with or without the RISCO brand), including, but not
limited to system software, as well as P2P services or any other service made available by RISCO
in relation to the Product, are not covered under this Limited Warranty. Refer to the Terms of
