E200401 NU-E200401/1012 1/Warning: • • • • • • • The BOOSTER should always be used by skilled personnel. Warnings and instructions of the vehicle maker must be applied at all times. Wear protection goggles and equipment specified by regulations. Whenever left unused, the BOOSTER must be in charge. Always wind and store the cables properly to avoid any risk of contact between the clamps. Never produce short-circuits. After-sales interventions must be performed only by EXPERT After-sales. 2/Specifications: • • • • • • en 3/Charging the BOOSTER: 12V BOOSTER for 12V vehicle. • Maximum starting current: 840A. Short-circuit current (PIC): 2200 A. • Protection against overvoltage. Copper cables: 55 cm / 28 mm2. • Comes with an automatic charger 1.5 A 220 /240V 50/60 HZ. • Supplied with a cigar lighter cable. Whenever it is not used, the BOOSTER must be under charge. Always use the charger supplied with the EXPERT BOOSTER E200401. Connect the charger’s cigar lighter connector to the BOOSTER, then connect the charger to mains. 4/Checking the charging level of the BOOSTER: • Check that the BOOSTER is disconnected from its charger or the vehicle’s cigar lighter. • Press the yellow button on the BOOSTER The green LED is lit once the booster is appropriately charged. If the 2nd green LED is lit this means the Booster is appropriately charged but the Booster is still connected to the charger. If the yellow LED is lit, the BOOSTER can be used once, although it cannot deliver its full power. If only one or two red LEDs are lit, recharge the BOOSTER immediately and do not use it. 5/Using the BOOSTER: Check the booster’s charging level. THE YELLOW LED AT LEAST MUST BE LIT when the test button is pressed. HOWEVER, THE GREEN LED MUST BE LIT FOR THE BOOSTER TO DELIVER ITS FULL POWER. • Connect the red «positive terminal» clamp to the positive terminal on the vehicle. Connect the black «negative terminal» clamp to the negative terminal on the vehicle. • Check that the booster is secured and will not move. • Start the vehicle. Never activate the starter for more than 8 seconds consecutively. Wait for 30 seconds before each starting attempts. • Once the vehicle’s engine is running, disconnect the BOOSTER immediately starting with the negative terminal (Black clamp). Then disconnect the positive terminal (Red clamp) • Return the clamps to their holders with the cables wound. • Charge the booster as soon as possible. 6/ Using the BOOSTER with the “cigar lighter” cable: Connect the BOOSTER to a vehicle by means of the cigar lighter cable to: - Top up the BOOSTER’s charge between two uses. This charging mode does not replace continuous charging using the charger supplied with your EXPERT booster. - Power supply to a vehicle via the an accessory connector. Before proceeding, check the vehicle is compatible with this use. 7/ Spare parts. E200403: Charger for E200401 BOOSTER. E200404: Cigar lighter cable. Guarantee Your EXPERT E200401 BOOSTER is guaranteed 1 year from its invoice date against all manufacturing flaws. List of exclusions of guarantee for the EXPERT E200401 BOOSTER. - Booster open or which has been disassembled - Short-circuit. - Trace of electric arc on clamps. - Reversed polarity. - Continuous use for more than 10 seconds. - Booster stored discharged. - Cables and clamps are excluded from the guarantee. - Booster charged with a charger other than the one supplied with it. - Trace of shock or impact. Booster batteries are wear parts excluded from the guarantee to increase the lifetime of the batteries. They must be maintained charged at all times. Enchufe la toma de mechero del cargador al BOOSTER y a continuación conecte el cargador al sector. 4/Control del nivel de carga del BOOSTER: • Compruebe que el BOOSTER no está conectado ni a la toma del mechero. • Pulse el botón amarillo del BOOSTER. Si el LED verde se enciende es que el BOOSTER está bien cargado. Si el segundo LED verde se enciende quiere decir que el Booster está bien cargado pero que todavía sigue conectado al cargador. Si el LED amarillo se enciende, se puede utilizar el BOOSTER una vez pero sin toda su potencia. Si solo se encienden uno o dos LED rojos, ponga a cargar el BOOSTER de inmediato y no lo utilice. 5/Uso del BOOSTER: COMPRUEBE EL NIVEL DE CARGA DEL BOOSTER. COMO MÍNIMO, HACE FALTA QUE EL LED AMARILLO ESTÉ ENCENDIDO CUANDO VAYA A PULSAR EL BOTÓN DE COMPROBACIÓN. NO OBSTANTE, SE RECOMIENDA QUE EL LED VERDE ESTÉ ENCENDIDO PARA QUE EL BOOSTER FUNCIONE A PLENO RENDIMIENTO. • Conecte la pinza roja «polo positivo» al polo positivo del vehículo. Conecte la pinza negra «polo negativo» al polo negativo del vehículo. • Compruebe que el BOOSTER está bien colocado y no hay riesgo de que se mueva. • Arranque el vehículo. Nunca accione el arranque durante más de 8 segundos seguidos. Espere 30 segundos antes de volver a intentarlo. • Tras arrancar el motor del vehículo, desenchufe el BOOSTER de inmediato empezando por el polo negativo (pinza negra). A continuación, desenchufe el polo positivo (pinza roja). • Coloque en su sitio las pinzas con los cables bien enrollados. • Ponga el BOOSTER a cargar cuanto antes. 6/ Uso del BOOSTER con EL CABLE PARA «TOMA DE MECHERO»: Puede conectar el BOOSTER a un vehículo con la ayuda del cable para toma de mechero suministrado en los dos casos siguientes: - Para realizar una carga de refuerzo en dos veces. Este modo de carga no sustituye una carga continua con el cargador suministrado con el BOOSTER EXPERT. - Para alimentar un vehículo mediante una toma secundaria. Compruebe la compatibilidad del vehículo con este tipo de uso antes de realizarlo. 7/ Piezas de recambio: E200403: Cargador para BOOSTER E200401. E200404: Cable de conexión para la toma de mechero. Garantía: EL BOOSTER EXPERT E200401 tiene una garantía de 1 año a partir de la fecha de fabricación frente a cualquier defecto de fabricación. Lista de exclusiones de garantía para el BOOSTER EXPERT E200401. - BOOSTER abierto o desmontado. - Cortocircuito. - Señal de arco eléctrico en las pinzas. - Inversión de polaridad. - Uso continuado durante más de 10 segundos. - BOOSTER almacenado sin carga. - La garantía no cubre los cables y las pinzas. - Señales de golpes o impactos. - BOOSTER cargado con un cargador distinto al suministrado con su compra.
