USER MAINTENANCE

Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.

No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and

openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning

becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from

the power source, allow to cool and wipe

exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition

occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and

return it for repair to an authorized service

representative only. No repairs should be

attempted by the consumer.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be

pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap

the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage

will occur at the high flex point of entry into the

appliance, causing it to rupture and short

circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage.

Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if

unit stops or operates intermittently.

STORAGE

When not in use, your appliance is easy to

store. Allow appliance to cool, then simply store

out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.

Do not jerk or strain cord at plug connections.

Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance.

Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight

at the point of entry into the appliance.

LIMITED FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY

(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your

unit free of charge for 60 months from the date

of purchase if the appliance is defective in

workmanship or materials.

To obtain service under this warranty, return the

defective product to the service center listed,

together with your purchase receipt and $7.50 for

postage and handling. California residents need

only provide proof of purchase and should call

1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instructions.

In the absence of a purchase receipt, the

warranty period shall be 60 months from the

date of manufacture.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS,

OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT

LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

A heat-protective glove has been supplied

to help protect your ﬁngers from temporary

contact with the barrel when wrapping the

hair around the appliance.

Please note that the heat-protective glove is

only designed to give initial contact protection.

Discomfort will be caused by prolonged contact

with the hot surface.

Never leave your curling wand on and

unattended. However, should you fail to

turn the wand off, it will shut itself off

automatically within 60 minutes.

WARNING: The instant heat barrel will get

very hot within a few seconds and should

not come into contact with skin after the

curling wand is turned on. When the High

setting is chosen, the curling wand will have

an extremely hot barrel. Always do a test

curl before using the curling wand to ensure

the proper setting for your hair type.

This curling wand is intended for household

use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.

This unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade

is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this

plug will ﬁt in a polarized outlet only one way. If

the plug does not ﬁt fully in the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed

Your new adjustable wand locks into 3 positions

for comfortable styling and customized curling

control. Find the angle that is perfect for you.

GETTING STARTED

Plug the wand into an electrical outlet. Press and

hold the push button to adjust the wand into your

desired position. Release the button. You will hear

a click, locking the barrel into place. Turn on unit.

The green ON indicator light will illuminate and

start to blink. When the default temperature is

reached, the indicator light turns solid. Allow unit

to heat up for 30 seconds.

WARNING: The curling wand’s barrel will get

very hot within a few seconds and should not

be placed in contact with the skin after the

curling wand has been turned on.

TO CURL HAIR

Hair should be clean and completely dry before

using the curling wand. For best results, use a

light styling product before blow-drying hair.

1. Take a 1-in. wide

section of hair.

Starting where you

would like your curl

to begin, wind the

section of hair around

the thicker portion of

the barrel, toward the

cool tip.

2. Hold the end of the

hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 8 seconds

depending on hair type, and then release. No

clamp allows you to easily curl hair without

kinks. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair.

For loose, free-ﬂowing curls, roll more hair.

To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until

it cools.

3. Repeat process on additional sections of hair

until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.

Some experience is necessary when learning

to use this curling wand. After using it several

times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and

style your hair.

de otras herramientas cuya temperatura baja

durante el uso, este sistema mantiene la

temperatura constante, sin pérdida de calor.

TUBO DE ÁNGULO AJUSTABLE

Puede bloquear el tubo del rizador en 3

posiciones para un peinado cómodo y un

control personalizado. Elija el ángulo perfecto

para usted.

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO

Enchufe el aparato. Mantenga oprimido el botón

de liberación/bloqueo del tubo para ajustar el

tubo del rizador al ángulo deseado. Después

de ajustar el tubo al ángulo deseado, suelte el

botón. Nota: cuando el tubo se bloquea en una

posición, se escucha un “clic”. Encienda la

unidad; el indicador luminoso verde se

encenderá y empezará a parpadear. Cuando la

unidad alcance la temperatura seleccionada, el

indicador permanecerá encendido. Permita que

la unidad se caliente por 30 segundos.

ADVERTENCIA: el tubo se pone muy caliente

en segundos; evite el contacto con la piel

después de encender el aparato.

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO

El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Para

obtener resultados óptimos, aplique una loción

ﬁjadora ligera en el cabello antes de secarlo.

1. Divida el cabello

en secciones de 1

pulgada (2.5 cm).

Agarre una sección

de cabello y,

empezando donde

desea que comiencen

los rizos, enrolle el

cabello alrededor

del tubo hacia la

punta aislante.

2. Sostenga el cabello por las puntas durante

5 a 8 segundos (según el tipo de cabello),

y luego desenrolle suavemente el cabello.

Siempre obtendrá hermosos resultados, fácil

y rápidamente. Para obtener rizos apretados

y elásticos, divida el cabello en secciones

más delgadas. Para obtener rizos sueltos y

naturales, enrolle secciones más gruesas.

Permita que el cabello se enfríe antes de

peinarlo para “ﬁjar” los rizos.

3. Repita el proceso en cada sección de

cabello, hasta conseguir el estilo deseado.

Será necesario experimentar un poco al

principio. Con práctica, encontrará la

manera perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil

y rápidamente.

REVESTIMIENTO DE

CERÁMICA/TITANIO DE

FÁCIL DESLIZAMIENTO

El tubo de su nuevo rizador está cubierto con

una capa de cerámica/titanio de deslizamiento

suave, lo último en tecnología

de peinado. Notará que el cabello se desliza

fácilmente sobre el tubo y que es muy fácil

limpiar el aparato después de cada uso. El

revestimiento de cerámica/titanio también ayuda

a controlar la estática y el frizz. Distribuye el

calor uniformemente para peinados sedosos

y brillantes, igual que en el salón. Además,

no retiene el cabello después de rizarlo.
