INSTRUCTIONS

This curling wand is intended for household use.

Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This

unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is

wider than the other). As a safety feature, this

plug will ﬁt in a polarized outlet only one way. If

the plug does not ﬁt fully in the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed

electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety

feature.

NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on

hair extensions.

STYLING WITH THE NEW TOURMALINE

CERAMIC EASY-GLIDE BARREL

The barrel of your new curling wand has a

tourmaline ceramic easy-glide surface, the

newest technology. This means it’s not only

simpler to clean off styling product residue, etc.,

after each use, but you’ll ﬁnd that hair glides

easily over the surface of the barrel as you’re

curling. The tourmaline ceramic surface also

helps smooth down ﬂyaways and frizzies.

It evenly distributes heat so that the style you

create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth, shiny

ﬁnish. Hair also slips right off the barrel after

it’s curled.

The new Tourmaline Ceramic Technology is a

pleasure to work with and makes styling your

hair easier and the results more professional.

GETTING STARTED

SWITCH ACTIVATION CONTROL

IMPORTANT! This appliance features delayed

activation control. Immediately after turning the

appliance on, you are able to adjust the

temperature. After 5 seconds of the appliance

being turned on, the control buttons will

automatically lock. To adjust the controls, hold

down the heat control HIGH or LOW button for

1-2 seconds. This will deactivate the lock mode

and allow the setting to be changed. To turn off

the appliance while in lock mode, hold down the

ON/OFF button until the appliance switches off.

Plug the wand cord into any household outlet

(120V). Press and hold the ON/OFF button for

approximately 1 second to turn the appliance

on. The unit will heat up very quickly. Press

HIGH or LOW button to select your desired

temperature. Once the temperature has stopped

blinking on the LED, the unit is ready to use.

To turn unit off, press and hold the power

ON/OFF button again until light goes off.

WARNING: The wand’s barrel will get very

hot within a few seconds and should not be

placed in contact with the skin after the

wand has been turned on.

The wand’s unique 5 heat settings and Instant

Heat Technology provide styling versatility for

all hair types. If you have ﬁne hair, a low

temperature will provide the best results. If you

have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl hair, keep the

heat setting on high. You can vary the wand’s

temperature according to your particular need!

TO CURL HAIR

Hair should be clean and completely dry before

using the curling wand.

For best results, use a light styling product

before blow-drying hair.

1. Start curling with a hair section that is 1 inch

wide and no more than ½ inch thick.

2. Open the spoon and place a hair section on

the barrel, rolling up, close to the scalp. Hold for

8–12 seconds, depending on length and texture

of your hair.

3. Press the spoon handle and allow the curl to

slide out.

4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair

until you achieve the hairstyle you desire. It may

be necessary to repeat process on certain areas,

depending on the texture of your hair.

Some experience is necessary when learning to

use this curling wand. After using the wand

several times, you will learn the ideal way to curl

and style your hair.

TO CREATE WAVES

1. Start by removing the spoon clip from the

curling wand barrel. Always make sure to

remove the clip when the barrel is cool.

Take a 1-inch-wide section of hair, placing the

barrel 2 inches from the scalp.

2. Wind the section of hair around the barrel

toward the cool tip.

3. Hold the ends of the hair in place at the cool

tip for 5–8 seconds, or longer, depending on hair

type, and then release. No clamp allows

you to easily curl hair without kinks. For tighter,

bouncier waves, roll less hair. For loose,

free-ﬂowing waves, roll more hair.

4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair

until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.

Some experience is necessary when learning

to use this curling wand. After using it several

times, you will learn the ideal way to curl

and style.

WARNING: Do not remove the clip or add the

spoon clip onto the barrel when the unit is hot.

Make sure the unit is completely cool and

not in use.

Never leave your curling wand on and

unattended. However, should you fail to

turn the wand off, it will shut itself off

automatically within 60 minutes.

DE OPERACIÓN

Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente

con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha

sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de

110–120 V AC.

El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe

polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).

Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar

de una sola manera en la toma de corriente

polarizada. Si no entra en la toma de corriente,

inviértalo. Si aun así no entra completamente,

comuníquese con un electricista. No intente

modificar esta función de seguridad.

NOTA: No use este aparato en cabello

sintético/extensiones.

REVESTIMIENTO DE CERÁMICA/TURMALINA

DE FÁCIL DESLIZAMIENTO

El tubo del rizador está cubierto con una capa de

cerámica/turmalina increíblemente suave, lo

último en tecnología de peluquería. Notará que el

cabello se desliza fácilmente sobre el

revestimiento y que los residuos de productos de

peinado son muy fáciles de limpiar después de

cada uso. El revestimiento de cerámica/turmalina

también ayuda a controlar la estática y el frizz.

Distribuye el calor uniformemente, para crear

peinados sedosos y brillantes, igual que en el

salón. Además, no retiene el cabello después de

rizarlo.

Es un placer trabajar con esta nueva tecnología,

pues facilita el peinado y logra resultados

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO

FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO DE LA TEMPERATURA

¡IMPORTANTE! Este aparato cuenta con una

función de bloqueo de la temperatura. Podrá

ajustar la temperatura solamente

inmediatamente después de encender el aparato.

Después de 5 segundos, los controles se

bloquearán automáticamente. Para ajustar la

temperatura después de este tiempo, mantenga

presionados simultáneamente los botones HIGH

y LOW por 1 a 2 segundos; esto desactivará el

modo de bloqueo y permitirá ajustar la

temperatura. Para apagar el aparato mientras

está en el modo de bloqueo, mantenga

presionado el botón de encendido/apagado por 1

a 2 segundos.

Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente de

120 V. Mantenga presionado el botón de

encendido/apagado por aprox. 1 segundo para

encender el aparato. El aparato se calentará muy

rápidamente. Elija la temperatura deseada,

presionando el botón HIGH (alto) o LOW (bajo).

Cuando el indicador luminoso del botón de

temperatura usado deje de parpadear, el aparato

está listo para su uso.

Para apagar el aparato, mantenga presionado el

botón de encendido/apagado hasta que el

indicador luminoso se apague.

ADVERTENCIA: El tubo se pone muy caliente

en segundos; evite el contacto con la piel

después de encender el aparato.

Este aparato cuenta con calentamiento

instantáneo y 5 opciones de ultra alta únicas

para proporcionar mayor versatilidad, cualquiera

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO

El cabello debe estar limpio y seco.

Para obtener resultados óptimos, aplique una

loción fijadora ligera en el cabello antes de

secarlo.

1. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1 in (2.5 cm)

de ancho por un máximo de ½ in (1.5 cm) de

grueso.

2. Abra la pinza y coloque una sección de cabello

entre el tubo y ella. Enrolle el cabello alrededor

del tubo, hacia el cuero cabelludo. Mantenga el

aparato en esta posición por 8 a 12 segundos,

dependiendo de la textura y de la longitud del

cabello.

3. Presione la manija para soltar el cabello.

4. Repita el proceso en cada sección de cabello,

hasta conseguir el estilo deseado. Dependiendo

de la textura del cabello, puede que sea

necesario repetir el proceso varias veces en

algunas secciones.

Nota: Será necesario experimentar un poco al

principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera

perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil y rápidamente.

CÓMO ONDULAR EL CABELLO

1. Quite la pinza del aparato. Siempre compruebe

que el tubo está frío antes de quitar la pinza.

Divida el cabello en secciones de 1 in (2.5 cm).

2. Empezando a 2 in (5 cm) del cuero cabelludo,

enrolle el cabello alrededor del tubo, hacia la

punta aislante.

3. Sostenga el cabello por las puntas por 5 a 8

segundos, o más (según el tipo de cabello), luego

desenróllelo suavemente. Siempre obtendrá

hermosos resultados, fácil y rápidamente. Para

obtener ondas más apretadas y elásticas, divida

el cabello en secciones más finas/delgadas.

Para obtener ondas sueltas y naturales, divida

el cabello en secciones más gruesas/anchas.

4. Repita el proceso en cada sección de cabello,

hasta conseguir el estilo deseado.

Nota: Será necesario experimentar un poco al

USER MAINTENANCE

Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.

No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and

openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning

becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from

the power source, allow to cool and wipe

exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition

occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and

return it for repair to an Authorized Service

Center only. No repairs should be attempted by

the consumer.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,

twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly

around the appliance. Damage will occur at the

high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing

it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord

frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if

damage is visible or if unit stops or operates

intermittently.

STORAGE

When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.

Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of

reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not

jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not

wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow

the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the

point of entry into the appliance.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your

unit free of charge for 60 months from the date

of purchase if the appliance is defective in

workmanship or materials.

To obtain service under this warranty, return the

defective product to the service center listed on

back, together with your purchase receipt.

California residents need only provide proof of

purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for

shipping instructions. In the absence of a

purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be

60 months from the date of manufacture.

This curling wand is intended for household use.

Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This

unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is

wider than the other). As a safety feature, this

plug will ﬁt in a polarized outlet only one way. If

the plug does not ﬁt fully in the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed

electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety

The barrel of your new curling wand has a

tourmaline ceramic easy-glide surface, the

newest technology. This means it’s not only

GETTING STARTED

SWITCH ACTIVATION CONTROL

IMPORTANT! This appliance features delayed

activation control. Immediately after turning the

appliance on, you are able to adjust the

temperature. After 5 seconds of the appliance

being turned on, the control buttons will

automatically lock. To adjust the controls, hold

down the heat control HIGH or LOW button for

1-2 seconds. This will deactivate the lock mode

and allow the setting to be changed. To turn off

the appliance while in lock mode, hold down the

ON/OFF button until the appliance switches off.

Plug the wand cord into any household outlet

(120V). Press and hold the ON/OFF button for

approximately 1 second to turn the appliance

on. The unit will heat up very quickly. Press

HIGH or LOW button to select your desired

temperature. Once the temperature has stopped

blinking on the LED, the unit is ready to use.

To turn unit off, press and hold the power

ON/OFF button again until light goes off.

WARNING: The wand’s barrel will get very

hot within a few seconds and should not be

placed in contact with the skin after the

wand has been turned on.

The wand’s unique 5 heat settings and Instant

Heat Technology provide styling versatility for

all hair types. If you have ﬁne hair, a low

temperature will provide the best results. If you

have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl hair, keep the

heat setting on high. You can vary the wand’s

temperature according to your particular need!

TO CURL HAIR

Hair should be clean and completely dry before

using the curling wand.

For best results, use a light styling product

before blow-drying hair.

1. Start curling with a hair section that is 1 inch

wide and no more than ½ inch thick.

2. Open the spoon and place a hair section on

the barrel, rolling up, close to the scalp. Hold for

8–12 seconds, depending on length and texture

of your hair.

3. Press the spoon handle and allow the curl to

slide out.

4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair

until you achieve the hairstyle you desire. It may

be necessary to repeat process on certain areas,

depending on the texture of your hair.

Some experience is necessary when learning to

use this curling wand. After using the wand

several times, you will learn the ideal way to curl

and style your hair.

TO CREATE WAVES

1. Start by removing the spoon clip from the

curling wand barrel. Always make sure to

remove the clip when the barrel is cool.

Take a 1-inch-wide section of hair, placing the

barrel 2 inches from the scalp.

2. Wind the section of hair around the barrel

toward the cool tip.

3. Hold the ends of the hair in place at the cool

tip for 5–8 seconds, or longer, depending on hair

type, and then release. No clamp allows

you to easily curl hair without kinks. For tighter,

bouncier waves, roll less hair. For loose,

free-ﬂowing waves, roll more hair.

4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair

until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.

Some experience is necessary when learning

to use this curling wand. After using it several

times, you will learn the ideal way to curl

WARNING: Do not remove the clip or add the

spoon clip onto the barrel when the unit is hot.

Make sure the unit is completely cool and

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO

FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO DE LA TEMPERATURA

¡IMPORTANTE! Este aparato cuenta con una

función de bloqueo de la temperatura. Podrá

ajustar la temperatura solamente

inmediatamente después de encender el aparato.

Después de 5 segundos, los controles se

bloquearán automáticamente. Para ajustar la

temperatura después de este tiempo, mantenga

presionados simultáneamente los botones HIGH

y LOW por 1 a 2 segundos; esto desactivará el

modo de bloqueo y permitirá ajustar la

temperatura. Para apagar el aparato mientras

está en el modo de bloqueo, mantenga

presionado el botón de encendido/apagado por 1

a 2 segundos.

Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente de

120 V. Mantenga presionado el botón de

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO

El cabello debe estar limpio y seco.

Para obtener resultados óptimos, aplique una

loción fijadora ligera en el cabello antes de

secarlo.

1. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1 in (2.5 cm)

de ancho por un máximo de ½ in (1.5 cm) de

grueso.

2. Abra la pinza y coloque una sección de cabello

entre el tubo y ella. Enrolle el cabello alrededor

del tubo, hacia el cuero cabelludo. Mantenga el

aparato en esta posición por 8 a 12 segundos,

dependiendo de la textura y de la longitud del

cabello.

3. Presione la manija para soltar el cabello.

4. Repita el proceso en cada sección de cabello,

USER MAINTENANCE

Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.

No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and

openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning

becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from

the power source, allow to cool and wipe

exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition

occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and

return it for repair to an Authorized Service

Center only. No repairs should be attempted by

the consumer.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,

twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly

around the appliance. Damage will occur at the

high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing

it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord

frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if

damage is visible or if unit stops or operates

intermittently.

STORAGE

When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.

Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of

reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not

Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No

requiere lubricación. Mantenga todos los orificios
