OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This unit is
designed to be operated at 120 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug
will fi t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fi t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed electrician. Do
not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
GETTING STARTED
The appliance's 30 temperature settings and in-
stant heat technology combine to provide styling
versatility for all hair textures. If you have fi ne
hair, a low temperature will provide the best re-
sults. If you have thick, wavy or coarse hair, keep
the heat setting high. You can vary the appliance’s
temperature according to your particular need!
Plug the appliance cord into any household outlet
(120V). Press power ON/OFF button. Red light will
blink until it reaches desired temperature setting
and then becomes solid. To activate Turbo Heat
®
,
press Turbo ON/OFF button and green light will go
on and increase straightening comb temperatures
up to 20°C/36°F. To turn off, press power ON/OFF
button again until red light goes out. Never leave
your appliance on and unattended. However,
should you fail to turn the unit off, it will shut itself
off automatically within 60 minutes.

SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with supe-
rior quality shampoos, conditioners, and fi nishing
products.
CURLING BASICS
1. Plug the hot brush cord into a standard
household electrical outlet (120V). When the red
ready dot has turned white, the proper styling
temperature has been reached. The hot brush has
30 heat settings – HIGH settings are for use on
thick, wavy hair; MEDIUM settings are for use on
normal hair; LOW for dry or chemically treated
hair.
2. Use of the hot brush is very easy to master. Roll
one section of hair at a time around the hot brush
from the bottom up. TO AVOID TANGLING, NEVER
ROLL THE HAIR AROUND THE HOT BRUSH MORE
THAN TWO TIMES. When hair is warm (not hot) to
the touch, the curl is set. For hair that is harder to
curl, leave the hot brush in place a little longer. A
hot brush generally gives a lighter curl than a
curling iron – for very hard-to-curl hair, try
switching to your curling iron.
3. The hot brush can be used for quick touch-ups
without shampooing. After heating the hot brush,
simply brush the hair back to its original style. To
change the style, mist the hair lightly with water
before using the hot brush. No combing
is necessary!
NOTE: Please refer to the temperature setting
guide for heat settings.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
For faster styling results, we have added a
unique optional Turbo Heat
®
ON/OFF feature.

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
Este aparato ofrece 30 opciones de temperatura,
para todo tipo de cabello, y calienta muy
rápidamente. Si su cabello es fino, le
recomendamos que utilice un nivel de
temperatura bajo. Si su cabello es espeso,
grueso, ondulado o resistente, le recomendamos
que utilice un nivel de temperatura alto.
¡Personalice la temperatura, según su tipo de
cabello!
Conecte el cable a una toma de corriente de
120V. Oprima el botón de encendido/apagado
ON/OFF. El indicador luminoso rojo parpadeará
hasta que la unidad alcance la temperatura
seleccionada; después, permanecerá encendido.
Para activar la función Turbo Heat
®
, oprima el
botón turbo; el indicador luminoso verde se
encenderá y la temperatura de las placas
aumentará de 20 °C (36 °F). Para apagar el
aparato, oprima el botón de encendido/apagado
ON/OFF; el indicador luminoso rojo se apagará.
Nunca descuide ni abandone el aparato después
de encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el aparato se
apagará automáticamente después de 60
minutos.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un corte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su
cabello con champúes, acondicionadores y
productos de peinado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL RIZADO
1. Conecte el aparato a una toma de corriente de
120 V. Permita que se caliente hasta que el
indicador de temperatura rojo se vuelva blanco.
El cepillo caliente cuenta con 30 ajustes de
temperatura: ajustes altos (HIGH) para el cabello
grueso u ondulado; ajustes medios (MEDIUM)
para el cabello normal; y ajustes bajos (LOW)
para el cabello seco o maltratado.
2. El cepillo caliente es muy fácil de usar.
Trabajando desde abajo hasta arriba de la
cabeza, separe una sección de cabello y enróllela
alrededor del cepillo, SIN DAR MÁS DE DOS
VUELTAS PORQUE ESTO PUEDE ENREDAR EL
CABELLO. Cuando el cabello esté tibio (ya no
caliente), el rizo está fijado. Si su cabello es
resistente, espere un poco más antes de sacar el
cepillo. Por lo general, los cepillos calientes
crean rizos más suaves que las tenazas. Si su
cabello es muy resistente, pueda que tenga que
usar una tenaza para rizarlo.
3. Su cepillo caliente puede usarse para hacer
retoques rápidos, sin necesidad de lavar el
cabello. Permita que el aparato se caliente, y
luego vuelva a peinar el cabello como lo peinó al
principio. Para cambiar de estilo, humedezca
ligeramente el cabello antes de peinarlo. ¡No hay
necesidad de usar un peine!

MAINTENANCE
Your styling tool is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings
clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes neces-
sary, disconnect the appliance from the power
source, allow to cool, and wipe exterior with a cloth.
If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug it, allow it
to cool and return it for repair to an authorized ser-
vice center only. No repairs should be attempted by
the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled or
twisted. Never wrap the cord around the appli-
ance. Damage will occur at the high fl ex point of
entry into the appliance causing it to rupture and
short. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or if unit
stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your styling tool is easy to store.
Allow it to cool, and store out of reach of children
in a safe, dry location. Do not jerk or strain cord at
plug connections.
Do not wrap cord tightly around appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.
LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option)
your unit free of charge for 24 months from
the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed below, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.50 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide proof
of purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR
for shipping instructions. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be
24 months from the date of manufacture.

instruction book carefully before using.

FOR TOUSLED HAIR
Create soft, tousled waves by curling each hair
section in a random direction. Then, turn head
upside down, shake, and gently scrunch hair with
fi ngers. Bring head back to position and repeat
for fullest volume.
WIDE WAVES
Pick up a section of hair and place the hot brush
under it close to the scalp, making half a turn
downward. Remove the hot brush. Working with
the same hair section, start where you left off and
place the hot brush on top of the hair, curling it up
half a turn. Proceed down the same hair section,
alternating the curl upward and downward. Re-
peat procedure with remaining sections of hair.
For best results, hair should be about
6–8 inches long.
TO STRAIGHTEN
To straighten hair, pull small section taut, then
pass brush over hair from roots to ends. Repeat
procedure until natural waves are relaxed.
TO WAVE
For fl owing waves, separate a wider section of
hair than you normally do for curling, and roll it
as you usually do. For best results, hair should be
at least 6–8 inches long.
ON BLUNT CUTS
Use hot brush on blunt cuts to eliminate kinks
or unwanted fl ips by just turning the hair under.

RIZOS NATURALES
Para crear ondas suaves y naturales, rice cada
sección en direcciones elegidas al azar. Después,
voltee la cabeza hacia abajo, agítela y estruje el
cabello con los dedos. Repita para obtener más
cuerpo.
ONDAS AMPLIAS
Coloque el cepillo por debajo de la sección de
cabello, cerca del cuero cabelludo, y dele media
vuelta hacia abajo. Quite el cepillo. Ahora,
coloque el cepillo un poco más abajo, por encima
de la sección de cabello, y dele media vuelta
hacia arriba. Siga alternando los rizos hacia
arriba/abajo hasta llegar a las puntas. Repita la
misma técnica todo alrededor de la cabeza.
Obtendrá resultados óptimos con cabello de 6–8
pulgadas (15–20 cm) de largo.
PARA ALISAR EL CABELLO
Agarre una sección fina y cepille lentamente el
cabello de la raíz a las puntas. Repita hasta
haber relajado las ondas naturales.
PARA CREAR ONDAS
Separe una sección más gruesa que para rizar el
cabello y enróllela alrededor del cepillo.
Obtendrá resultados óptimos con cabello de 6–8
pulgadas (15–20 cm) de largo.
PARA PEINAR “BOBS”
Gire el cepillo hacia dentro al llegar a las puntas
para doblar estas hacia dentro.
