Electriccurrentflowingthroughanyconductorcauseslocalized
electricandmagneticfields(EMF).Thecurrentfromarcwelding
(andalliedprocessesincludingspotwelding,gouging,plasmaarc
cutting,andinductionheatingoperations)createsanEMFfield
aroundtheweldingcircuit.EMFfieldsmayinterferewithsome
medicalimplants,e.g.Pacemakers.Protectivemeasuresfor
personswearingmedicalimplantshavetobetaken.Forexample,
restrictaccessforpassersbyorconductindividualriskassessment
forwelders.Allweldersshouldusethefollowingproceduresin
ordertominimizeexposuretoEMFfieldsfromtheweldingcircuit:
1. Keepcablesclosetogetherbytwistingortapingthem,orusing
acablecover.

SECTION 5 PRODUCT WARRANTY
5-1 Product Warranty
Limited Warranty
Tregaskiss’Productsshall,fromthedateoforiginalpurchase(or,
solelywithrespecttoLowStressRoboticUnicablespackagedwith
anyTregaskiss®RoboticMIGGun,fromthedatetheproductgoes
intoproductionforitsintendeduse)andfortheperiodsetforth
below,befreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanship.Toobtain
repairorreplacementofanyProduct,thecoveredProductmustbe
delivered,transportationpre-paidbyPurchaser,totheaddress
specifiedbyTregaskissonitsReturnedMaterialsAuthorization,
with:(i)writtenproofofwarrantycoverage(e.g.,Purchaserdated
purchaseorder);(ii)serialnumberonproduct(ifany);(iii)the
Product’sinstalledlocationwithinPurchaser’sfacilityandusageof
theProduct;and(iv)writtenspecificationofanyallegeddefect(s).
Intheeventtheforegoingmaterialsarenottimelyprovidedto
Tregaskissbyclaimant,warrantycoveragewillbedeterminedby
Tregaskiss,initssolediscretion.Fortheavoidanceofdoubt,the
warrantyperiodforanyProductorpart/componentofanyProduct
thatisreplacedorrepairedbyTregaskissundertheforegoing
warrantyisnotextendedorrenewedatthetimeofsuch
replacementorrepair.The Warranty against defects does not
apply to: (1) consumable components or ordinary wear items;
(2) products which are improperly altered, modified, stored,
installed, operated, handled, used or neglected or use of the
Products with equipment, components or parts not specified or
supplied by Tregaskiss or contemplated under the Product
documentation; or (3) Products which have not been operated,
maintained, and repaired pursuant to Product documentation
provided by Tregaskiss. Purchaser shall pay Tregaskiss for all
warranty claim costs incurred by Tregaskiss (including
inspection, labor, parts, testing, scrap and freight) due to
warranty claims submitted by Purchaser which are not covered
by Tregaskiss’ warranty.

7-1 Installing TOUGH GARD® Anti-Spatter Multi-Feed System

NOTE:Themulti-feedsystemoperatesviavacuumdraw,sothe
reamerairpressure/volumeiscriticalforidealsprayeroperation.
A. To Install Cap Assembly
1. RemovetheplasticcapfromtheTOUGHGARDAnti-Spatter
Liquidpail(5.28U.S.Gal./20L)ordrum(55U.S.Gal/208L).
2. Insertthecapassemblyintothetopofthepail/drumandtighten
securely.
NOTE:Thecapassemblyshouldpassthroughthepail/drum
openingfreely.

B. Remove the Fluid Reservoir
1. Itisrecommendedthatthereservoirbeemptypriortoremoving
itfromthereamer.
2. Intheeventthatthereisstillfluidleftinthereservoir,itcanbe
emptiedwhilestillsecuredontothereamer.
a. Removethefrontspindlecoverbylooseningthe4BHCS
oneithersideofthecover.
b. Ontherighthandsideofthesprayercheckvalvethereisa
black5/16”fluidsupplyline.Before disconnecting the
supply line, have a small container ready to catch the
fluid as it drains out.
c. Disconnectthefluidsupplylineatthequickdisconnect
fitting(seeFigure7-C).
d. Thefluidwillbegintoflowoutofthesupplylineandintoa
container.
e. Letthefluiddrainuntilitstops.
3. Opentherearcoverofthereameranddisconnectthefluidlevel
sensor(twoblackwireswitha2-Pinconnectoronthem).
4. Removethefour(4)BHCSonthesideofthereamerthathold
thesprayerreservoirmountingplateontothereamer(see
Figure7-D).
5. Carefullypullthereservoirfromthesideofthereamer.
a. Whileremoving,pushthefluidsupplylineinsidethe
reamertohelpguidethereservoirconnectionthroughthe
openingunderthemountingplate.
6. Oncethereservoirisfreefromthereamer,removethehose
clampthatsecuresthefluidsupplylineontothereservoir(see
Figure7-D
NOTE:Oncethereservoirisremovedfromthereamer,placeina
securelocationincaseitisneededatalaterdate.

C. To Connect Hose to Spray Unit
NOTE:Itisbesttostartbyestablishingthepail/drumlocation.This
makesiteasiertorunhosesandpermanentlysecurethem.
1. Afterthereservoirisremoved,runthehosefromthepail/drum
tothereamerbeingsurenottorunhoseswheretheymaybe
damagedorkinked.
2. Installtheanti-spatterfeedlineonthereamerontothebarb
fittingofthemulti-feedadapterplate(SeeFigure7-E).Ensure
thatthehoseclampissecureovertopofthebarbfitting(See
Figure7-F).
3. Installthemulti-feedadapterplateusingthe4xSHCSontothe
sideofthereamerframe(SeeFigure7-G).
4. Connectthefemalequickconnectonthehosetothemalequick
connectonthemulti-feedadpaterplate.

F. Priming the Hose
Oncethehoseshavebeencompletelyinstalled,theyneedtobe
primedtoremoveanyairbubbles.
To Prime the Hose from the Reamer:
1. ActivatetheSPRAY ONbuttonontheTOUGHGUNTT4reamer
untilasteadystreamofTOUGHGARDanti-spatterliquidis
visiblefromthesprayhead.
To Prime Hose from the Robot:
1. Activatethesprayerfromtherobotcontrolleruntilasteady
streamofTOUGHGARDanti-spatterliquidisvisiblefromthe
sprayhead.
NOTE:Besuretocheckforanyleakswhileprimingthehose.Use
checkvalvesandclampsatallmanifoldportstoensureeachline
keepsitsprime.Usecheckvalvesonlonghoserunsforsafety
measuresasneeded.
