Improper connection of the equipment-grounding

aren’t sure if the outlet is properly grounded. DO NOT

appliance is designed for use on a nominal 120-volt

circuit, and has a grounding attachment plug that

looks like the plug in the illustration. Make certain

Cleaning Formulas

WARNING

To reduce the risk of ﬁre and electric shock due to internal component damage, use only BISSELL

cleaning ﬂuids intended for use with the deep cleaner. To reduce the risk of ﬁre and electric shock

when cleaning a hard ﬂoor, the BISSELL bare ﬂoor tool (203-5640) must be used and is only to

be used with BISSELL Hard Floor Solutions formula intended for use with this machine.

ONLY BISSELL Protects from future stains with Scotchgard™ Protector.

*2.5 fl. oz. of 2X concentrated formula is equivalent to 5.0 fl. oz. of non-concentrated formula.

Tips Before Carpet Cleaning

• If cleaning an entire room, consider moving your furniture to another area.

• Use a dry vacuum cleaner over area before using your deep cleaner.

• Pre-treat stains with BISSELL PreTreat to improve performance on coee

stains and ground-in dirt.

1-From the flat side of the Tool Caddy, feed

the power cord through the rounded-rect-

angle opening.

2-Next, align the Tool Caddy with the Upper

Handle holes.

First, slide the Upper Handle on to the base.

Assembly

The only tool you will need to assemble

your deep cleaner is a Phillips screwdriver.

1- Place hex nut into back of Tool Caddy and hold in

place. Insert bolt from the front to the back, turning the

bolt into the hex nut until snug. Do not over tighten.

Repeat for the second bolt and hex nut.

2-Insert 2 screws into

lower 2 holes located

just above the Lower

Hose Rack. Turn the

screws until tight-

ened.

Attach tools to the end of

the hose or front of the

upper handle. Wrap the

power cord and hose.

WARNING

Do not plug in your deep cleaner until you are familiar with all instructions

and operating procedures.

Special Features

Before You Clean

Maximize Results with your ProHeat Pet Deep Cleaner...

• Plan activities to give your carpet time to dry.

• Move furniture to another area if cleaning an entire room (optional).

• Thoroughly vacuum area with a dry vacuum cleaner before deep cleaning.

• Plan your cleaning route to leave an exit path. It is best to begin cleaning in

the corner farthest from your exit.

• Pretreat

Pretreating your carpet is recommended to improve cleaning eectiveness

for heavily soiled carpet in high trac areas such as entryways and hallways.

a. Spray the BISSELL Stain PreTreat formula onto heavy trac areas,

soiled areas, or stains.

b. Allow to penetrate for at least 3 minutes.

c. Use the ProHeat Pet machine on the high trac setting.

SmartMix

The SmartMix feature automatically mixes hot tap

water with the BISSELL Advanced cleaning formula.

Choose one of the 3 settings and the SmartMix will

adjust the right amount of cleaning formula to mix

with the hot water to ﬁt your cleaning need.

2-in-1 Tank ™

Our 2-in-1 Tank™ system is designed with a heavy

duty bladder inside for clean water. As you clean,

the clean water in the bladder will empty and mix

with the cleaning formula. Dirty water will be pulled

out of your carpets and collect around the outside

of the bladder so that clean and dirty water are

always kept separate. This allows you to maximize

tank space, yet only carry one tank to and from the

sink for ﬁlling and emptying.

ReadyTools Dial

This dial switches your machine between ﬂoor

cleaning and hose/tool cleaning.

Flow Indicator

This is located on the machine base. It spins when

the trigger is pressed to indicate that the machine

is applying cleaning solution to the carpet and will

stop spinning when the formula tank or bladder

needs to be reﬁlled, or when the trigger is released.

Preparing Your Machine

First, press the recline pedal to lay down

the machine handle. Lift the 2-in-1 tank

from the base of the machine using the

carry handle on the tank.

ATTENTION: To prevent damage to Berber carpets, avoid repeated strokes in

the same area.

WARNING

BISSELL cleaning formulas intended for use with the deep cleaner.

1-Carry the tank to the sink. Set the tank

on a flat surface and rotate the handle

to unlatch and remove the lid. Fill up the

bladder with hot tap water (140⁰F/60⁰C

MAX). *Do not boil or microwave the

water as it can destroy the bladder.

2-Optional: Add 2 ounces of BISSELL

Boost formula to the bladder.

3-Return the tank lid by matching it to the

tank edges. The tank handle must be in

the forward position in order to set the lid

in place. Rotate the handle to secure the

latch.

Note: Remember to secure the lid before

picking up the tank.

Preparing Your Machine

Fill the formula tank by first

unscrewing the cap and insert.

a. Fill with water to the ‘water’

line.

b. Fill with formula to the ‘for-

mula’ line.

Turn the cap and screw on

tightly to secure. Return the

tank to the machine for a snug

fit.

Note: Make sure the cap is

properly seated to avoid

leaking.

Lift the formula tank up and out of the

machine base.

Simply Choose one of 3 settings:

Each setting is designed to adjust proper amounts of water

and cleaning formula for your carpet.

Choose the SmartMix Setting

ATTENTION

Do not over wet carpet. Be careful not to run over loose objects or edges

of area rugs. Stalling the brush may result in premature belt failure.

NOTE: Both the SmartMix formula tank and the 2-in-1 bladder need to have

liquid in them in order for the machine to spray. If one of the tanks are empty, the

machine will not spray.

-Caution: Do not overwet the carpet. Also take care not to run over loose

objects, edges of area rugs, or the cord.

-Stalling the brush may result in premature belt failure.

Press the Power Switch to

the “ON” position to turn

on the machine.

Repeat cleaning passes until the liquid coming up

appears clean. Continue passes without pressing

the trigger until you can’t see any more water

being pulled up.

Set the Ready Tools

Dial to Floor Cleaning.

While pressing the trigger, make one slow pass

forward and back to put water and formula down.

Release the trigger and make one slow pass

forward and back over the same area to pick up

the water and formula that was just put down.

Operations: Cleaning with Hose & Attachments

NOTE: Your deep cleaner comes with a hose and at least one tool to attach for

cleaning stairs, upholstery, and more.

IMPORTANT : Check upholstery tags for any special care instructions. If possible,

check for colored stung as it is possible the color could bleed through. Check for

colorfastness in a hidden area - maybe the back or underside of the furniture.

Set the SmartMix Dial to

the Normal setting.

Be sure to vacuum thor-

oughly to pick up loose

debris and pet hair. The

hose and tool of the

vacuum can help to get

into the fabric folds.

Also plan activities to

allow the upholstery to

dry.

Fill the tanks according

to pages 8 and 9 to pre-

pare your machine.

Set the Ready Tools Dial to

the Tools setting. This will

allow the machine to divert

the spray and suction to

the hose.

Attach the cleaning tool

to the end of the hose.

Plug in the power cord to a

grounded outlet and press

the Power Switch to ON.

WARNING

WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, be extra careful when cleaning stairs. Make sure the

machine is secure and level.

Press the trigger to spray solution on to the area you are cleaning. Slowly move the tool

back and forth over the soiled surface. Release the trigger to suction up the soiled area.

Work in small sections. Spray with only warm water to rinse the cleaned area (optional).

Caution: Do not overwet the upholstery.

When ﬁnished, rinse the hose and tool by suctioning warm water from a bowl. Allow the

hose and tool to dry before storing the machine.

Rinsing Your Carpet (optional)

Operations: Empty the 2-in-1 Tank

After each use, remove and

rinse the lint screen located

on the tank lid.

Rinse (optional)

Choose the Water Rinse

setting on the SmartMix

dial and follow rinse

instructions at the top of

this page.

1- Press the Power Switch to the OFF position. Remove the

2-in-1 Tank from the base by lifting up with the tank’s Carry

Handle.

2- Carry the tank like a bucket to where you’ll dispose of the

collection water. Rotate the carry handle to unlatch the lid and

empty the tank.

Fill the 2-in-1 Tank

again, following the

instructions on pages 8

and 9.

Make sure the tank lid is secure and return the tank to

the machine. Follow cleaning instructions on pages 10

and 11 to continue cleaning. *Don’t forget to check the

formula tank and refill as needed!

NOTE: You may notice hair & debris deposits on the carpet or in the tank that

were loosened by the cleaning action (especially with new carpet that may never

have been deep cleaned before). This debris should be picked up and thrown

away.

Rinsing is an optional step that can be done during the cleaning process by switch-

ing to the water rinse setting, or it can be done after the carpeted area has been

cleaned.

Choose the Water Rinse setting on the SmartMix dial, Be sure to rinse out your

tank if Boost was added in with your water. Use the Water Rinse setting with water

only. Follow the same path as you did for cleaning, taking care to do a forward

(wet) stroke by depressing the trigger, a backward (wet) stroke, and a forward and

backward (dry) stroke, releasing the trigger. Continue this until the water you see

coming up the nozzle is clear.

Maintenance: Machine Storage

Once your cleaning is complete, make sure

the water tank is emptied and rinsed out. Put the

unit away in a closet or basement for the next

use.

NOTE: Store cleaner in a protected, dry area.

Since this product uses water, it must not be

stored where there is a danger of freezing.

Freezing will damage internal components and

void the warranty.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock, or injury, turn power OFF and disconnect plug from

electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting.

Maintenance: Machine Care

Turn power off and unplug

the machine. Always wrap the

power cord and make sure

the hose is securely wrapped.

The final empty of the 2-in-1

tank should always get an

extra rinse-out. Rinse under

and around the bladder as

well as the lint screen.

Clean the Flow Indicator fil-

ter after each use. Unscrew

the cap to lift the red rotor

and white filter. Rinse all

parts with water and return

them to the machine. Twist

the cap back on, but do not

over-tighten.

Insert the Nozzle Clean Out

Tool into the thin slot, on

the end of the nozzle that

touches the floor. Clean until

free of pet hair or debris.

Use the opposite side of the

tool to clean the brush rolls

by combing the bristles to

help loosen hair or debris.

Wipe the machine’s exterior

with a soft cloth. Once your

carpet is dry, vacuum again

to remove any excess hair or

fuzz on your carpet.

A few simple steps can assure your machine is well maintained after your cleaning is complete.

Troubleshooting

WARNING

Pump belt may be broken. Turn on the machine and check to

see that the DirtLifter PowerBrush

turns.

DirtLifter®

PowerBrush

does not turn

Brush belt or pump belt is off or

broken.

Turn the machine OFF (O) and unplug

from the outlet. To check if the brush

belt or pump belt has broken, you will

need a flat head screwdriver. Insert the

blade end into the lower slot of the belt

access door to release the lower snap. If

necessary, insert the blade end into the

upper slot to release the upper snap.

Examine the belt for breakage. If broken,

please visit bissell.com for replacement

part information.

Cleaner

not picking

up solution

ReadyTools dial may be on the

wrong setting for the cleaning job.

Set ReadyTools dial to the proper

setting, depending on how you are

using your machine.

Nozzle window may not be

properly attached.

Press down firmly on the black oval

gasket at the top window to make

sure the two tabs on the back of the

nozzle window are snapped into the

mating slots in the main housing.

2-in-1 tank lid is not properly

installed.

Re-install lid; refer to page 8.

2-in-1 tank is not properly seated.

2-in-1 tank must be firmly seated to

function; remove and reseat 2-in-1 tank.

Poor tool position. (Hand held

attachments only).

Adjust angle; apply more downward

pressure.

2-in-1 Tank has picked up

maximum dirty water.

electricista calificado instale uno correctamente. Este

electrodoméstico está diseñado para ser usado en un

circuito de 120 voltios nominales, y tiene un enchufe con

puesta a tierra similar al enchufe del dibujo. Asegúrese de

que el electrodoméstico esté conectado a un

la solución para pisos duros BISSELL Hard Floor Solutions que es para ser usada con esta máquina.

Consejos antes de limpiar la alfombra

Si va a limpiar todo un cuarto, considere mover los muebles a otra área.

• Use una aspiradora en seco sobre el área antes de usar su limpiadora profunda.

• Haga un tratamiento previo de las manchas usando BISSELL PreTreat para mejorar el

rendimiento en manchas de café y suciedad incrustada.

tas, alimente el cordón eléctrico a través de

la abertura rectangular redondeada.

2-A continuación, alinee el portaherramien-

tas con los agujeros del mango superior.

Primero, deslice el mango superior sobre la

base.

Ensamblaje

La única herramienta que necesitará para

el ensamblaje de su limpiadora profunda

es un destornillador Phillips.

1- Coloque una tuerca hexagonal en el respaldo del porta-

herramientas y sostenga en su sitio. Inserte un perno desde

atrás hacia adelante, haciendo girar el perno en la tuerca

hexagonal hasta que quede ajustado. No apriete demasiado.

Repita para el segundo perno y la tuerca hexagonal.

Características especiales

Antes de limpiar

Resultados máximos con su limpiadora profunda ProHeat Pet...

• Planee las actividades para dar tiempo a la alfombra para que seque.

• Mueva los muebles a otra área si va limpiar todo el cuarto (opcional).

• Aspire completamente el área con una aspiradora en seco antes de hacer la limpieza

profunda.

• Planee la ruta de limpieza de manera que deje una vía de salida. Lo mejor es comenzar

a limpiar la esquina más alejada de su salida

• Tratamiento previo

Se recomienda hacer un tratamiento previo para mejorar la eﬁcacia de la limpieza en el

caso de alfombras muy sucias en áreas de alto tráﬁco como entradas y pasillos.

a. Rocíe la fórmula BISSELL Stain PreTreat sobre las áreas con mucho tráﬁco, áreas con

manchas o manchas.

b. Permita que penetre durante por lo menos 3 minutos.

c. Use la máquina ProHeat Pet en el ajuste para áreas con mucho tráﬁco.

SmartMix

La característica SmartMix® mezcla automáticamente el agua

2-in-1 Tank ™

Nuestro sistema 2-in-1 Tank™ está diseñado con una cámara

de servicio pesado adentro para el agua limpia. Mientras

limpia, se vaciará el agua limpia en la cámara y se mezclará

con la fórmula de limpieza. Se extraerá el agua sucia de sus

alfombras y se recogerá en el exterior de la cámara de manera

que el agua limpia y el agua sucia se mantengan siempre

separadas. Esto le permite maximizar el espacio del tanque,

llevando sin embargo solamente un tanque hasta y desde el

fregadero para llenar y vaciar el tanque.

Dial ReadyTools

Este dial cambia su máquina entre limpieza de pisos y limpieza

con manguera/herramientas.

Indicador de ﬂujo

Este está situado en la base de la máquina. Gira cuando se

presiona el gatillo para indicar que la máquina está aplicando

solución de limpieza a la alfombra y dejará de girar cuando

se debe volver a llenar el tanque de fórmula o la cámara,

o cuando se suelte el gatillo.

Preparación de la máquina

Primero, presione el pedal para reclinar

para acostar el mango de la máquina.

Levante el tanque 2-en-1 de la base de la

máquina usando la manija para transporte

en el tanque.

ATENCIÓN: Para evitar daños a las alfombras Berber, evite pasar repetidamente

por la misma área.

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de choques eléctricos debido a daños de

1-Lleve el tanque al fregadero. Coloque el

tanque sobre una superficie plana y haga

girar el mango para soltarlo y quite la

tapa. Llene la cámara con agua corriente

caliente (140⁰F/60⁰C MÁX.). *No hierva ni

caliente el agua en un microondas pues

puede destruir la cámara.

2-Opcional: Agregue 2 onzas de fórmula

BISSELL Boost a la cámara.

3-Vuelva a instalar la tapa del tanque

haciendo que coincida con los bordes del

tanque. El mango del tanque debe estar

en la posición hacia adelante para colocar

la tapa en su sitio. Haga girar el mango

para asegurar el cierre.

Nota: Recuerde asegurar la tapa antes de

alzar el tanque.

tapa está correctamente

asentada para evitar fugas.

Levante el tanque de fórmula hacia arriba y

afuera de la base de la máquina.

ATENCIÓN

No moje demasiado la alfombra. Tenga cuidado de no pasar sobre

objetos sueltos ni bordes de tapetes. Frenar el cepillo puede resultar en

la falla prematura de la correa.

NOTA: Ambos, el tanque de formula SmartMix y la cámara 2 en 1 deben tener

líquido en ellos para que la máquina rocíe. Si uno de los tanques está vacío, la

máquina no rociará.

-Precaución: No moje demasiado la alfombra. Así mismo, tenga cuidado de no

pasar sobre objetos sueltos, ni bordes de tapetes, ni el cordón.

-Frenar el cepillo puede resultar en la falla prematura de la correa.

Presione el interruptor de

encendido colocándolo en la

posición “ON” (encendido)

para encender la máquina.

Repita las pasadas de limpieza hasta que el

líquido que se aspira se vea limpio. Siga pasando

sin apretar el gatillo hasta que vea que ya no se

aspira más agua.

Coloque el dial Ready Tools

en la posición de “Floor

Cleaning” (Limpieza de

pisos).

Mientras presiona el gatillo haga una pasada lenta

hacia adelante y atrás para aplicar agua y fórmula.

Suelte el gatillo y haga una pasada lenta hacia

adelante y atrás sobre la misma área para

recoger el agua y la fórmula que se acaba de

aplicar.

Operaciones: Limpieza con manguera y accesorios

NOTA: Su limpiadora profunda viene con una manguera y por lo menos un

accesorio para limpiar escaleras, tapizado y mucho más.

IMPORTANTE: Compruebe los rótulos del tapizado para ver si hay instrucciones

especiales para el cuidado. Si es posible, compruebe si hay relleno de colores pues

es posible que el color pueda correrse a través de la tela. En un área no visible,

compruebe si los colores son ﬁrmes – tal vez en la parte posterior o abajo del mueble.

Ajuste el dial SmartMix en

la posición Normal.

Asegúrese de

aspirar cuidadosamente

para eliminar desechos

sueltos y pelo de mascotas.

La manguera y las

herramientas de la

aspiradora pueden

ayudar a penetrar en

los pliegues de la tela.

Así mismo, planee las

actividades para darle

Coloque el dial Ready Tools

en la posición de “Tools” (her-

ramientas). Esto permitirá que

la máquina desvíe el rocío y la

succión a la manguera.

Acople la herramienta de

limpieza en el extremo de

la manguera.

Enchufe el cordón

eléctrico en un

tomacorriente conectado

a tierra y presione el botón

de encendido colocándolo

en la posición de “ON”

(encendido).

ADVERTENCIA

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, tenga cuidado adicional al limpiar

escaleras. Asegúrese de que la máquina esté segura y nivelada.

Presione el gatillo para rociar la solución en el área que está limpiando. Mueva despacio

la herramienta hacia adelante y hacia atrás sobre el área manchada. Suelte el gatillo para

aspirar el área manchada. Trabaje en secciones pequeñas.

Rocíe solamente con agua tibia para enjuagar el área que se ha limpiado (opcional).

Precaución: No moje demasiado el tapizado.

Cuando haya terminado, enjuague la manguera aspirando agua tibia de un tazón. Permita

que la manguera y la herramienta sequen antes de almacenar la máquina.

Enjuague de la alfombra (opcional)

Operaciones: Vacíe el tanque 2-en-1

Después de cada uso, extraiga

y enjuague el filtro para

pelusas en la tapa del tanque.

Seleccione el ajuste Water

Rinse (enjuague con agua)

en el dial SmartMix y siga

las instrucciones en la parte

superior de esta página.

1- Presione el botón de encendido colocándolo en la posición

de OFF (apagado). Extraiga el tanque 2-en-1 de la base

alzando con la manija para el transporte.

2- Transporte el tanque como si fuera un balde al sitio donde

va a desechar la recolección de agua. Haga girar la manija

hasta que se libere la tapa y vacíe el tanque.

Llene nuevamente el

tanque 2-en-1, siguiendo

las instrucciones de las

páginas 8 y 9.

2- Asegúrese de que se haya asegurado la tapa del tanque

y vuelva a colocar el tanque en la máquina. Siga las

instrucciones para la limpieza en las páginas 10 y 11 para

seguir limpiando. *¡No se olvide de mirar el tanque de

fórmula y de volver a llenar en la medida que sea necesario!

NOTA: Es posible que observe depósitos de pelo y suciedad en la alfombra o

en el tanque que se soltaron mediante la acción de limpieza (especialmente

con alfombras nuevas a las que tal vez nunca se les haya hecho una limpieza

profunda). Se debe recoger esta suciedad y se la debe desechar.

El enjuague es un paso opcional que se puede efectuar durante el proceso de

limpieza cambiando al ajuste de enjuague con agua, o se puede hacer después

que se haya limpiado el área alfombrada.

Seleccione el ajuste Water Rinse (enjuague con agua) en el dial SmartMix.

Asegúrese de enjuagar el tanque si se agregó Boost junto con el agua. Use el

ajuste Water Rinse (enjuague con agua) solamente con agua. Siga el mismo recor-

rido usado para la limpieza teniendo cuidado de hacer un recorrido hacia adelante

(mojado) presionando el gatillo, un recorrido hacia atrás (mojado) y un recorrido

hacia adelante y hacia atrás (seco), soltando el gatillo. Siga haciendo esto hasta

que vea que el agua que sube por la boquilla es limpia.

Mantenimiento: Almacenamiento de la máquina

Una vez que haya completado la limpieza,

asegúrese de que se vacíe y enjuague el tanque

de agua. Guarde la unidad en un armario o en el

sótano hasta que la use de nuevo.

NOTA: Guarde la máquina en un área protegida

y seca. Debido a que este producto usa agua no

se lo debe guardar donde corra riesgo de con-

gelarse. Si se congela dañará los componentes

internos y anulará la garantía.

ADVERTENCIA

Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, choque eléctrico o lesiones, apague (OFF) el encendido y desconecte

el enchufe del tomacorriente eléctrico antes de efectuar tareas de mantenimiento o identiﬁcar fallas.

Mantenimiento: Cuidado de la máquina

Apague la

y desenchufe la máquina.

Envuelva siempre el cordón

eléctrico y asegúrese de que

la manguera esté envuelta de

manera segura.

El vaciado final del tanque

2-en-1 siempre debe reci-

bir un enjuague adicional.

Enjuague abajo y alrededor de

de flujo después de cada uso.

Destornille la tapa para alzar

el rotor rojo y el filtro blanco.

Enjuague todas las piezas con agua

pero no la apriete demasiado.

Inserte la herramienta para limpiar

boquillas en la ranura delgada, en el

extremo de la boquilla que toca el

piso. Limpie hasta que quede libre de

pelo o suciedad de mascota.

Use el lado opuesto de la herramienta

para limpiar los cepillos cilíndricos

peinando las cerdas para ayudar a

soltar pelo o suciedad.

Limpie el exterior de la máquina

usando un paño suave. Una vez

que la alfombra quede seca, aspire

nuevamente para eliminar cualquier

exceso de pelo o pelusa de su

alfombra.

ADVERTENCIA

Apague el encendido (OFF) (O); extraiga y vuelva

a asentar los tanques.

Es posible que la bomba haya perdido el

cebado.

Apague OFF (O) el encendido; después de 1

minuto encienda ON y presione el gatillo.

Es posible que la correa de la bomba esté

rota.

Encienda la máquina y compruebe para ver si gira

el DirtLifter PowerBrush.

El cepillo cilín-

PowerBrush no

gira

Falta la correa del cepillo o la correa de la

bomba o está rota.

Apague OFF (O) la máquina y desenchúfela del

tomacorriente de la pared. Para comprobar si

se ha roto la correa del cepillo o la correa de la

bomba, necesita un destornillador de cabeza

plana. Inserte el extremo de la hoja en la ranura

inferior de la puerta de acceso de la correa para

soltar el cierre a presión inferior. Si es necesario

inserte el extremo de la hoja en la ranura superior

para liberar el cierre a presión superior. Examine

la correa para ver si está rota. Si está rota, visite

bissell.com para obtener información sobre un

reemplazo.

La limpiadora no

aspira la solución

Es posible que la selección del dial ReadyTools

no sea la que corresponde para el trabajo de

limpieza.

Ajuste el dial ReadyTools en la posición correcta,

dependiendo de cómo esté usando su máquina.

Es posible que la ventana de la boquilla no

esté bien acoplada.

Presione firmemente sobre la junta ovalada negra

en la ventana superior para asegurarse de que las

dos pestañas en la parte posterior de la ventana

de la boquilla calcen sobre las ranuras coincidentes

en el alojamiento principal.

La tapa del tanque 2 en 1 no está

correctamente instalada.

asentado.
