Congratulations on the purchase of your Coolaroo® Outdoor Roller Shade. Please be sure to read the manual in its entirety before
installing your Shade.

MARK THE HOLES
A. For stock Shades, use the chart to determine the
placement of your screws.
INSTALL BRACKETS
A. Install the Crank unit and Idle end unit brackets
(Fig. 1). The Crank unit bracket will be on the right
side, and the Idle end unit bracket should be on
the le for standard installation; they cannot be
interchanged.
NOTE: Do not tighten screws completely yet.

Your Shade comes standard with the Clutch on the
right side of the Shade and ready to be mounted on
the inside or outside of your window frame. If you
purchased a custom Shade, or intend to keep your
Shade with the standard settings, you may skip this
section and proceed to the installation instructions.
If you want to move the Clutch to the le side of the
Shade or you want to hang your Shade from the top of
the window (or ceiling), you will need to make a few
simple changes to your Shade before proceeding to the
installation instructions.
IMPORTANT: The screws included in your
hardware kit are for use with wood only. See your
retailer for mounting recommendations when
attaching your Shade to any other material.

B. First, insert the Clutch plug into the Crank unit (Fig. 2).
C. Insert the Idle end plug into the Idle end unit, and
snap the Idle end plug securely into place (Fig. 3). With
the Shade in place, adjust the brackets so they fi t snugly
on each end of the Shade.
IMPORTANT: Now go back and tighten the bracket
screws completely.
ALTERNATIVE CLUTCH SETUP
Your Shade will require a non-standard installation if:
you are changing the Clutch to the le side of the
Shade, or if you are mounting your Shade from the
top/ceiling.
NOTE: If you purchased a custom Shade or are
doing a standard installation, you do NOT need
to make these changes.
A. If you want your Clutch to be on the le side of
your Shade, you will need to make a simple change
to your Crank unit before you install your Shade. To
make this change, remove the four screws (Fig. 4).
B. Turn the Crank unit 180
° so the wand eyelet can
now hang down from the le side (Fig. 5).
C. Put the screws back in, and tighten. No change
is needed to the Idle end unit, it works for right and
le mounts.
CHANGE TO A TOP CEILING MOUNT
If you want your Shade hang from the top (for
example, the ceiling), you will need to make a simple
change to your Crank unit and Idle end unit before
you install your Shade.
A. Remove the four screws from both brackets
(Fig. 6).
B. Turn the Crank unit 90° so the Clutch eyelet
hangs straight down. If the Clutch were hanging from
the top, and turn the Idle end unit so the opening is
facing away from the window (Fig. 7), put screws
back in.
INSTALL THE STANDARD WALL MOUNT
IMPORTANT: Only install your valance a er
you have installed your Shade. Refer to (Fig. 8)
in order to help identify which bracket goes on
which side.
A. Remove bracket Covers (if installed):
Slide off the Shade bracket covers if installed. You
will not be using your bracket covers (Fig. 9).
B. Attach the right valance bracket:
Screw the RIGHT valance bracket into place (Fig. 10).
C. Insert the right side of valance into valance
bracket:
Slide the back corner of the valance in between the
lip of the top of the valance bracket. Start sliding
valance into place, moving towards the curve.
Use a fl athead screwdriver to open the slot on the
underside of the valance bracket to wedge the front
(curved portion) of the valance into place (Fig. 11).
D. Install the le side of valance:
Slide the valance (while attached to the le valance
bracket) over the le mounting bracket of the Shade.
Screw bracket into place (Fig. 12).

PREPARE CRANK UNIT FOR AN INSIDE
VERTICAL MOUNT
A. Start by sliding off the bracket cover on the
Crank unit if installed (Fig. 13).
B. Remove the four screws from the Crank unit.
C. Rotate the Crank unit 90° so the wand eyelet
hangs straight down to the ground if the bracket
were hanging from the inside mount (Fig. 14).
D. Put screws back in. You will not need the bracket
covers.

INSTALL CRANK UNIT, IDLE END UNIT
A. Install Crank unit (through holes in valance
bracket)into pre-drilled holes.
B. Install Idle end unit (through holes in valance
bracket) into pre-drilled holes.

INSTALL SHADE
A. Insert the Clutch plug into the Crank unit
(Fig. 22).
B. Then insert the Idle end plug into the Idle end
unit, and snap the Idle end unit securely into place
(Fig. 23).

A. Insert the Clutch plug into the Crank unit
(Fig. 16).
B. Then insert the Idle end plug into the Idle end
unit, and snap the Idle end plug securely into place
(Fig. 17).

INSTALL CRANK UNIT, IDLE END UNIT AND
VALANCE
A. Mark the holes where you are going to put your
screws.
B. Attach valance to Crank unit and Idle end unit
through holes in top of valance or sandwich the
valance between the top of window casing and the
brackets.
NOTE: Hardware to attach valance to Clutch
and Idle end unit is not provided.
C. Install the Crank unit and Idle end unit using
screws provided (Fig. 15).

SWITCH CLUTCH TO LEFT MOUNT
A. Remove both bracket covers, if installed (Fig.
18). You will not be using your bracket covers.
B. Your Shade comes standard with the clutch on
the right side of the Shade.
NOTE: Only do this step if you want to move
your clutch to the le side of the Shade.
C. Remove the four screws from the Crank unit.
D. Turn the Crank unit 180° so the wand eyelet can
now hang down from the le side (Fig. 19).
E. Put the screws back in.

SLIDE VALANCE INTO BRACKETS
A. Slide the valance into the two valance brackets
(Fig. 20).
B. Once the valance is in its brackets, slide entire
valance into place.
NOTE: Valance should stay in place on its own
(Fig. 21).
C. Mark your holes: With the valance and
brackets in correct position, mark holes where
screws will go. Take down valance and brackets and
pre-drill holes for screws, put valance and brackets
back into place.

MAINTENANCE: Your Outdoor Roller Shade has been made of the finest materials and, when properly
cared for, will provide years of Shade and privacy. To clean your Shade, simply rinse with water, scrub
with mild soap or any nonabrasive cleaner, rinse and allow to dry. Call us for missing parts or mechanical
problems. Do not store Shade wet. In moist areas, roll Shade down frequently to air dry.
CAUTION: Use of solvents or abrasive cleaners may damage the fabric and will void your warranty. Do not
use bleach or chlorine.

INSTALE LOS SOPORTES
A. Instale la Unidad de manivela y el soporte de
la Unidad final inactiva (Fig. 1). Para una instalación
estándar, el soporte de la Unidad de manivela estará
en el lado derecho y el soporte de la Unidad fi nal
inactiva estará en el lado izquierdo; esto no se puede
intercambiar.
NOTA: No apriete los tornillos completamente.

Su persiana viene en posición estándar con la vara en
el lado derecho y está preparada para ser instalada en
el interior o exterior de su ventana. Si usted obtuvo
su persiana a través de una orden especial o desea
mantener la persiana con sus ajustes uniformes, puede
saltar esta sección y proceder a las instrucciones de la
instalación regular.
Si usted desea mover la Unidad de manivela al lado
izquierdo de la persiana o desea colgar su persiana
encima de la ventana (o en el techo), deberá hacer
unos cambios a su persiana antes de proceder con las
instrucciones de instalación.
IMPORTANTE: Los tornillos que están incluidos
en su juego de aditamentos son solamente para
el uso en madera. Visite su ferretería mas cercana
par recomendaciones de que usar para montar su
persiana en otras superfi cies.

A. Primero, inserte el Tapón de embrague dentro de la
Unidad de manivela (Fig. 2).
B. Luego, inserte el Tapón final inactivo dentro de la
Unidad final inactiva, asegúrese que quede fijo (Fig. 3).
Con la persiana en su lugar, ajuste los soportes para que
queden cómodamente instalados en cada lado de la
persiana.
IMPORTANTE: Después de seguir estas
instrucciones, vuelva y apriete los tornillos de los
soportes completamente.
ALTERNATIVA DE ARREGLO DE LA UNIDAD DE
MANIVELA
Su persiana requerirá una instalación que no es
estándar si: usted quiere cambiar el Unidad de
manivela al lado izquierdo de la persiana, o usted
quiere montar la persiana en el techo.
NOTA: Si usted compro una persiana especial
o esta instalando una persiana uniforme, NO
necesita hacer estos cambios.
A. Si usted quiere que su Unidad de manivela este
en el lado izquierdo de la persiana, usted necesita
hacer un cambio sencillo a su Unidad de manivela
antes de instalar la persiana. Para hacer este cambio,
quite los cuatro tornillos de los dos soportes (Fig. 4).
B. Gire la Unidad de manivela 180
° para que la
Unidad de manivela pueda colgar hacia abajo (Fig. 5).
C. Vuelva a poner los tornillos. Ningún cambio es
necesario en el Unidad fi nal inactiva.
CAMBIANDO A INSTALACIÓN EN EL TECHO
Si usted desea que su persiana cuelgue encima o
en el techo, deberá hacer cambios a la Unidad de
manivela y a la Unidad final inactiva antes de instalar
su persiana.
A. Para hacer ese cambio, quite los cuatro tornillos
de los dos soportes (Fig. 6).
B. Gire la Unidad de manivela 90° para que este
cuelgue directamente hacia abajo haciendo que el
embrague cuelgue en el techo y gire la Unidad fi nal
inactiva para que la abertura esté enfrente del lado
más lejos de la ventana (Fig. 7), vuelva a poner los
tornillos.
INSTALACIÓN EN PARED ESTÁNDAR
IMPORTANTE: Solo instale la cenefa una vez que
haya instalado la persiana. Consulte la (Fig. 8)
en el manual de instrucciones de la cenefa para
identifi car con mayor facilidad el lugar correcto
para cada soportes.
A. Retire las cubiertas de los soportes (si
está instalado): Deslice y retire las cubiertas de
los soportes de la persiana (si está instalado). Ya no
utilizará las cubiertas de los soportes (Fig. 9).
B. Instale los soportes a la derecha de la
cenefa:
Atornille los soportes a la DERECHA de la cenefa en
su lugar (Fig. 10).
C. Inserte el lado derecho de la cenefa en
el soporte de la cenefa: Deslice la esquina
posterior de la cenefa a la mitad del reborde en la
parte superior del soporte de la cenefa. Comience
a deslizar la cenefa a su lugar, moviendo la hacia la
curva.
Use un destornillador de cabeza plana para abrir la
ranura en el lado inferior del soporte de la cenefa
para insertar a presión la parte frontal (sección curva)
de la cenefa (Fig. 11).
D. Instale el lado izquierdo de la cenefa:
Deslice la cenefa (mientras está fi ja al soporte
izquierdo) sobre el soporte de instalación izquierda de
la persiana. Atornille el soporte en su lugar (Fig. 12).

PREPARE LA UNIDAD DE ELEVACIÓN PARA
UNA INSTALACIÓN VERTICAL EN LA PARTE
INTERIOR
A. Comience por deslizar y retirar la cubierta del
soporte en la Unidad de manivela (si está instalado)
(Fig. 13).
B. Retire los cuatro tornillos de la Unidad de
manivela.
C. Gire la Unidad de manivela 90° de manera tal
que la Unidad de manivela cuelgue directamente
hacia abajo si el soporte cuelgue desde el montaje
interior (Fig. 14).
D. Vuelva a colocar los tornillos. Ya no necesitará
las cubiertas de los soportes.

INSTALE LA UNIDAD DE ELEVACIÓN Y LA
UNIDAD DEL EXTREMO INACTIVO
A. Instale la Unidad de manivela (en los orifi cios de
los soportes de la cenefa) en los orifi cios taladrados
previamente.
B. Instale la Unidad final inactiva (en los orifi cios de
los soportes de la cenefa) en los orifi cios taladrados
previamente.

INSTALE LA PERSIANA
A. Inserte el Tapón final inactivo en la Unidad final
inactiva (Fig. 22).
B. Luego, inserte el Tapón final inactivo en la unidad
del extremo inactivo e insértela persiana fi rmemente
a presión en su lugar (Fig. 23).

A. Inserte la conexión de la Unidad de manivela
(Fig. 16).
B. Luego, inserte el Tapón final inactivo en la
Unidad final inactiva y ajuste a presión el extremo
inactivo (Fig. 17).

CENEFA
A. Marque los orifi cios en los que pondrá los
tornillos.
B. Fije la cenefa a la Unidad de manivela y a la
Unidad final inactiva a través de los orifi cios en la
parte superior de la cenefa. O presione la cenefa
entre la parte superior del contramarco de la ventana
y los soportes.
NOTA: No se incluyen aditamentos para fi jar la
cenefa a la unidad de elevación y la Unidad final
inactiva.
C. Instale la unidad de elevación y la unidad del
extremo inactivo con los tornillos proporcionados
(Fig. 15).

CAMBIAR EMBRAGUE A INSTALACIÓN IZQUIERDA
A. Retire ambas cubiertas de los soportes (si está
instalado) (Fig. 18). Ya no utilizará las cubiertas de los
soportes.
B. La persiana y la Unidad de manivela del lado derecho
de la persiana son de tamaño estándar.
NOTA: Realice este paso solamente si desea
cambiar la Unidad de manivela al lado izquierdo de
la persiana.
C. Retire los cuatro tornillos de la Unidad de manivela.
D. Gire la Unidad de manivela 180° de manera tal que la
Unidad de manivela cuelgue del lado izquierdo (Fig. 19).
E. Vuela a insertar los tornillos.

DESLICE LA CENEFA DE AMBOS LOS SOPORTES
A. Deslice la cenefa en ambos soportes de la cenefa
(Fig. 20).
B. Una vez que la cenefa esté en los soportes,
deslícela completamente hasta su lugar.
NOTA: La cenefa debe mantenerse en su lugar,
sin ayuda (Fig. 21).
C. Marque los orifi cios: Con la cenefa y los
soportes en la posición correcta, marque los orifi cios
donde irán los tornillos. Retire la cenefa y los soportes
y taladre previamente orifi cios para los tornillos.
Vuelva a colocar la cenefa y los soportes en su lugar.

MANTENIMIENTO: El parasol está fabricado con los materiales más finos y, cuando se cuida
adecuadamente, proporciona años de sombra y privacidad. Para limpiar la persiana, simplemente
enjuagarla con agua, cepilla con jabón suave o con cualquier limpiador no abrasivo, enjuague nuevamente
y deje secar. Llámenos si faltan piezas o si tiene problemas mecánicos. No almacene la persiana húmeda. En
zonas húmedas, desenrolle la persiana con frecuencia para que se seque al aire.
PRECAUCIÓN: El uso de solventes o limpiadores abrasivos puede dañar la persiana y anulará la garantía.
No utilice blanqueador ni cloro.
Enrolle la persiana cuando no la utilice o antes de tormentos intensas para evitar que se dañe.
