INTRODUCTION
Requena is a small village not far from Valencia, the third largest city of Spain. It’s old (1400 years), calm and
very Spanish. The airfield of Requena is not small or quiet as it is actually a busy airfield that offers every
possible service expected from a airfield. It has flying schools that train pilots from many countries, but you
can also learn to paraglide or fly with an classic aircraft.
Requena is the first product in a line of products that cover the smaller airfields in Spain.
This product was made for an airshow held recently at Requena and parts of the proceeds will be donated to
the organisations of this airfield.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The following items are required:

CONTACT SUPPORT
Support for this product is offered by Aerosoft. We prefer to have a support forum for the simple reason that it
is fast and efficient because customers help customers when we are sleeping:
http://www.forum.aerosoft.com
and we advise the Scenery section for any questions on this product. This should be your first stop for any
support. If you prefer support by email do accept that this could take a bit longer as it might be send from
persons to person and that email support in the weekends is always slow:
https://aerosoft.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new
We feel strongly about support. Buying one of our products gives you the right to waste our time with
questions you feel might be silly. They are not.
REMOVING THE SCENERY
Never remove the product manually, always used the control panel applet to do so. Failing to do so could
create serious problems. The actual name of the applet depends on the Windows version you have but on
most it can be found under “Uninstall or change a program”.

FINDING THE AIRPORT IN FS
You can find the airport in FS many ways, you can search in the name (Requena), the ICAO code (LERE) or city
(Requena). You can then select the active runway or any of the parking locations.
COVERAGE
This scenery covers the complete airport area and the immediate surroundings.
COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER SCENERY
As far as we have tested this product is compatible with FsGlobal, UTX and FTX Global Base.
COMPATIBILITY WITH DX10 PREVIEW MODE
The scenery is compatible with the FSX DX10 Preview Mode but there can be slight artefacts. Keep in mind
that this mode is NOT documented by Microsoft and they have never offered any support for it.
FRANK, OUR AVATAR
If you are using PREPAR3D v3 you will be able to us Frank, our pilot, as the avatar (see the P3D v3
documentation about information on avatars). When selecting an aircraft you can also select the
avatar to be loaded. You can load Frank with any aircraft btw. He is able to stand idle (duh..), walk,
run, stand to crouch, walk while crouching, crouch to stand, jump, swim and fall, all using the default
P3D v3 commands. To spawn the avatar go to any external view and use the [shift]-[control]-[e]
command. You can then use the avatar to explore the scenery.

SETTINGS & FRAME RATES
We advice these setting for the best combination of looks and framerates.
DISPLAY SETTINGS
The Global texture setting needs to be on VERY HIGH, Advanced animations ON, the other settings are not
critical. As the scenery is rather light on frames Lens flare and Light bloom can be set on
Aerosoft Spanish Airfields: Requena 1.00
Page 7
SCENERY SETTINGS
This scenery will work best with the settings shown. If this hurts you FPS to much reduce level or detail radius
and Autogen density first.
Aerosoft Spanish Airfields: Requena 1.00
Page 8
TEXTURE RESOLUTION
Texture resolution need to be set to 2048x2048 or 4096x4096. This can be done in Prepar3D V3.3 using the
standard dialog screens.
For FSX:SP2 and FXS:STEAM this unfortunately means adapting the FSX.cfg. Here is how to find the file:
FSX SP2 and FSX Acceleration in Windows 7, 8.1 and 10:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
FSX:STEAM: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE
or C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
or Steam\Steamapps\Common\FSX\Config (where Steam is your main Steam folder)
Now find texture_max_load=1024 and change that to texture_max_load=2048 or max_load=4096.
Unfortunately, FS will reset this back to 1024 every time the cfg is adapted. This is a limitation of the simulator,
not of the add-on.

PROCEDIMIENTOS ANTI-RUIDO
NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES
The towns of El Rebollar (especially) and Requena are the most
sensitive to aircraft’s activity at Requena aerodrome.
-ARRIVALS
Traffics arriving must avoid flying long approaches that overfly
those towns. In the event of no traffics on the pattern and in the
case the pilot decides to proceed to the field by a long approach,
it is recommended to slightly modify the path in order to not
overfly these towns, and likewise, both for safety and noise,
flying a glide slope not too flat. Also, the right base leg for
runway 30 must be flown avoiding El Rebollar. It’s useful to
take as a reference the highway junction located at north of El
Rebollar to turn to right base runway 30 at or before reaching
this highway junction.
-DEPARTURES
It is recommended for both, safety and noise, using speeds that
fit best angle and rate of climb
Aircrafts departing runway 12 must avoid overflying El
Rebollar. This can be achieved, depending on traffic, deviating
slightly to the left of runway heading, following A3 highway,
and leaving the town on the right, or deviating slightly to the
right of the runway heading (always with enough altitude) to
leave the town on the left. In any case, it is advisable using
speeds that fit best angle and rate of climb.
Departing traffics from runway 30 do not show many problems,
it is just required from the pilot a good rate of climb and a little
care to not overfly Requena
