Battery Precautions

• Use only the size and type of batteries specified.

• When installing batteries, observe proper +/- polarities. Incorrect installation of battery may

cause damage to the unit.

• Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline with carbon-zinc or old

batteries with new ones).

• If the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove batteries to prevent

damage due to possible battery leakage.

• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.

This product contains small parts that may present a choking hazard for

young children.

PREPARATION FOR USE

1. Standard Accessories

Unpack the unit carefully. Remove all the accessories from the display carton. Do not

remove any labels or stickers on the rear of the unit and adaptor. Before setting up the

unit, verify that the following accessories are present:

• Instruction manual x 1

• AC power adaptor x 1

• Main unit x1

• Remote control x 1

2. Power source

This unit is supplied with an AC adaptor; take the following steps to connect the adaptor.

Unwind the power cord of the AC adaptor to its full length.

Connect the DC plug of the AC adaptor to the DC socket on the left side of the unit.

Plug the AC adaptor to the AC outlet (110v – 220v AC. 60 Hz). Connecting this system to

any other power source may cause damage to the system. For sufficient ventilation, keep

other objects at least 4 inches away from the unit.

To switch the unit off completely, withdraw the AC adaptor from the wall outlet.

Note:

Do not touch the AC adaptor with wet hands.

Once connected to the power supply, the unit will enter standby mode,

Press the STANDBY button to power the unit on.

Please disconnect the AC adaptor from the power supply if the appliance

is not going to be used for a long period time.

Basic Operation

Turn On/ Off the Unit

Press the

STANDBY button on the main unit or remote control to turn the unit on. The

system will switch to the last selected source. Press the STANDBY button again on the

unit or on the remote to power the unit off. The clock will be shown on the LCD.

VOL- and VOL+ Buttons

Press the VOL +/- buttons to adjust sound level output from 00 (minimum) to 32(maximum)

MUTE Button

Press this button on the remote control to mute the sound output from the unit.

Press it again to resume the previous volume.

Setting Clock Time

When your system is used for the first time, the display will show clock time after the AC

adaptor is connected the unit and the power supply. You should set the right clock time as

below.

1. Press the

STANDBY button on unit for standby mode.

2. Hold the MEM/CLK button on the unit or remote control.

3. The hour digits will start flashing, press

buttons to adjust the hour digits.

4. Press the MEM/CLK button to confirm hour setting.

5. The minute digits will start flashing, press

buttons to adjust the minute digits.

6. Press the MEM/CLK ADJ button to finish setting clock time.

Remote Control Operation

Remove the spacer tab before using the remote for the first time. The main functions of this

system can be operated by pressing the controls on the top panel of the main unit, or by

pressing the corresponding buttons on the remote control.

CONTROL LOCATIONS FOR REMOTE

Point the remote control at the remote sensor on the front panel.

Please note that bright sunlight can interfere with the operation

of the remote control. If the remote operation is unsatisfactory,

try darkening the room before changing the remote battery. The

battery should last at least 12 months or longer under normal

operating conditions.

Replacing the Lithium Battery

When the operation of the remote

becomes intermittent or the main unit

no longer responds to the remote

commands, it is probably time to change

the remote battery.

Open the battery compartment by

squeezing the battery compartment-

locking tab as shown and slide the battery

holder out of the battery compartment.

Remove the old battery and install a new

CR2025 battery in the battery holder with

the “+” facing up as shown, and then

slide the battery holder back into the

battery compartment.

Battery may explode or leak if mistreated. Do not attempt to

recharge it or disassemble it. Do not dispose of the old battery in

a fire. Replace only with the same or equivalent type of battery.

Use Remote Holder

Your remote can be stored in the remote holder on the back of

your unit, see the installation guide below:

Battery Operation

Before installing batteries (not included), ensure that the unit is

disconnected from the main power supply.

Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit

by carefully pushing off the battery cover.

Insert 6 1.5V C-size batteries (not included), referring to the

polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Never mix

old and new batteries. Finally, replace the cover. For battery

operation, switch

off the main supply

and remove the

power socket,

CAUTION!

There is a danger

of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace

only with the same type. If you are not going to use your

unit for an extended period, please remove the batteries to

avoid damage.

AUX-IN Connection

1. Connect one end to a 3.5mm plug signal wire (not included)

to the AUX IN jack and the other end to your device. (Such as

portable MP3 or portable CD player)

2. Press the

STANDBY button to turn the unit “ON”.

3. Press the SOURCE button on the unit / remote to select AUX

mode and the “AUX” icon on the LCD will light up.

The unit is now set up to play your device.

Adjust the VOLUME+/- level by pressing the buttons on the unit

or the remote control.

Listening to the Radio:

1. Press the STANDBY button on the unit to turn it on.

2. Press the SOURCE button to select the RADIO mode.

Scanning for FM Stations

1. To automatically scan for FM station, press and hold

buttons for more than 2 seconds to tune to the desired

station.

2. To scan for another FM station, repeat the above step.

3. To manually tune an FM station, press

or buttons

repeatedly until you find optimal reception. Each press of

or buttons will increase or decrease the frequency

by 0.1 MHz.

Auto Presets Radio Station

Hold the MEM/CLK button and the unit will store the desired

radio station.

Manually Programming Station Presets

1. Tune to the FM radio station you want to preset.

2. Press the MEM/CLK button and “P-01” will show on the LCD

display.

3. Press the

or buttons to select the preset number

you would like to save the station against.

4. Press the MEM/CLK button. The station is now successfully

saved against the selected preset number.

5. Repeat the above steps to store other FM stations.

Warning! This unit has a 20 stations programmable

memory. The programmed stations will be erased

when the power is disconnected.

Selecting a Saved Station

To select a preset station, press the REPEAT/MEM- or

MEM+ button on the unit or the remote control.

The radio will retune to the selected preset station.

FM Stereo Reception

When the unit is tuned in to a stereo broadcast with a good

signal, “(ST)” will be shown on the LCD display

Operating iPhone / iPod on the main unit

1. Press the STANDBY button to turn on the unit.

2. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to the iPod mode. The

“iPod” icon on the LCD will light up.

3. Press the

or button repeatedly to select the next or

previous music track. Press button to play or pause the

music or the video.

4. Press the REPEAT button on remote control to repeat the

playback. Press once to repeat an individual song, press

twice to repeat all songs.

5. Press

/ (Menu Up/Down),SELECT and MENU button

on the remote control to operate the iPod menu and other

functions of the iPod. Press MENU button to show the menu

screen of the iPod, then use , button to highlight the

item you want to operate, and then press SELECT button to

confirm. (You can also operate the buttons on your iPod)

6. Press the VOL- and VOL+ button to adjust to the desired

sound level.

7. Press

/ (Playlist Up/Down) buttons to select iPod /

iPhone playlist.

8. Press

/ (Album Up/Down) buttons to select iPod /

iPhone playlist.

9. Press REPEAT button to play the music file repeatedly.

Press

(Shuffle) button to play music randomly.

Charging your iPod or iPhone

While your iPod or iPhone is docked to the unit, it will

automatically recharge until it is fully charged. Other non-

docking types of iPod will NOT be charged.

iPod or iPhone will not charge when product is operating on

batteries.

VIDEO OUTPUT Connection

There is a video-out port for connection to your TV on the back

side of the unit. Connect one end of RCA plug signal wire (not

included) to VIDEO out jack, and the other end to the Video In

jack of your home TV.

Follow the instructions for docking or playing an iPod or iPhone.

Please note that the jack on your TV must be configured to

accept input rather than output signals to enable this feature.

For new iPod nano, iPod touch and iPhone, VIDEO OUT

function is disabled by default. Make sure “TV Out” is set to

“ON” in the video settings of the docked iPod or iPhone.

HMDX AUDIO sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in

manufacture and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original

purchase, except as noted below. HMDX AUDIO warrants that its products will be

free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This

PREPARACIÓN PARA EL USO

1. Accesorios estándar

Desempaque la unidad con cuidado. Retire todos los accesorios de la caja de exhibición.

2. Fuente de energía

Esta unidad se entrega con un adaptador de CA, siga los pasos siguientes para

conectar el adaptador. Desenvuelva el cable de corriente del adaptador de CA en toda

su extensión. Conecte el enchufe de CC del adaptador de CA al enchufe hembra de

CC que se encuentra en el lado izquierdo de la unidad. Enchufe el adaptador de CA al

tomacorriente de CA (110 V – 220 V CA, 60 Hz). Conectar este sistema a cualquier otra

fuente de energía podría ocasionar daños al sistema. Para lograr una ventilación suficiente,

mantenga otros objetos alejados al menos 4 pulgadas (10 cm) de la unidad. Para apagar

por completo la unidad, retire el adaptador de CA del tomacorriente de la pared.

Nota:

Operación básica

Prender/Apagar la unidad

Presione el botón de ESPERA

en la unidad principal o en el control remoto para

encender la unidad. El sistema cambiará a la última fuente seleccionada. Presione el botón

de ESPERA

Se mostrará el reloj en el LCD.

Botones VOL- VOL+

Presione los botones VOL +/- para ajustar la salida del nivel de sonido de 00 (mínimo)

a 32 (máximo)

Botón MUTE (silencio)

Presione este botón en el control remoto para silenciar la salida de sonido de la unidad.

Presiónelo nuevamente para volver al volumen anterior.

Ajuste de la hora del reloj

Cuando se usa su sistema por primera vez, la pantalla mostrará la hora del reloj después de

que se conecte el adaptador de CA a la unidad y a la fuente de energía. Debe ajustar la hora

correcta del reloj como se indica a continuación.

1. Presione el botón de ESPERA

en la unidad para ponerla en el modo de espera.

2. Mantenga presionado el botón MEM/CLK en la unidad o en el control remoto.

3. Los dígitos de la hora comenzarán a parpadear, presione los botones

para ajustar

los dígitos de la hora.

4. Presione el botón MEM/CLK para confirmar el ajuste de la hora.

Operación del control remoto

Retire la lengüeta espaciadora antes de usar el control remoto por primera vez. Las funciones

principales de este sistema se pueden operar presionando los controles en la parte superior

del panel de la unidad principal, o presionando los botones correspondientes en el control

remoto.

Apunte el control remoto al sensor remoto en el panel frontal.

Reemplazo de la pila de litio

Cuando el funcionamiento del control remoto

se vuelve intermitente

o la unidad principal

ya no responde a los comandos del control

remoto, probablemente sea el momento

de cambiar la pila

del control remoto.

Abra el compartimiento de la pila

presionando la pestaña de bloqueo

del compartimiento como se muestra

y deslice el soporte de la pila fuera del

compartimiento de la pila.

Retire la pila vieja e instale una pila CR2025

nueva en el soporte de la pila con el signo

de “+” hacia arriba como se muestra y

luego deslice el soporte de la pila dentro del

compartimiento de la pila.

La pila puede explotar o perder líquido si

no se maneja correctamente. No intente

recargarla ni desarmarla. No arroje la pila

usada al fuego. Reemplácela únicamente

con el mismo tipo de pila o uno equivalente.

Uso del control remoto

Su control remoto puede guardarse en el soporte del control

remoto que se encuentra en la parte trasera de su unidad, vea la

guía de instalación a continuación:

Funcionamiento con pilas

Antes de instalar las pilas (no se incluyen) asegúrese de que

la unidad esté desconectada de la fuente de energía principal.

Retire la tapa del compartimiento de la pila que se encuentra

en la parte trasera de la unidad empujando con cuidado

la tapa de la pila.

Introduzca 6 pilas de tamaño C de 1.5 V (no se incluyen)

teniendo en cuenta las marcas de polaridad dentro del

compartimiento de las pilas. Nunca mezcle pilas usadas y

pilas nuevas. Por último, vuelva a colocar la tapa. Para el

funcionamiento a pila, apague la fuente principal y retire el cable

del enchufe de corriente, el funcionamiento a pila se seleccionará

automáticamente.

¡PRECAUCIÓN!

Existe peligro de explosión si las baterías se cambian en

forma incorrecta. Cambie únicamente con el mismo tipo.

Si no va a usar la unidad durante un período prolongado,

retire las pilas para evitar daños.

Conexión AUX-IN

1. Conecte un extremo a un cable de señal de enchufe de

3,5 mm (no se incluye) al enchufe hembra AUX IN

(entrada auxiliar) y el otro extremo a su dispositivo.

(Como por ejemplo un MP3 portátil o reproductor de CD portátil).

2. Presione el botón de ESPERA para encender la unidad

“ON”.

3. Presione el botón SOURCE (fuente) en la unidad / control

remoto y seleccione el modo AUX y el ícono “AUX” se

iluminará en el LCD.

La unidad está ahora configurada para reproducir su dispositivo.

Ajuste el nivel de VOLUME+/- presionando los botones en la

unidad o en el control remoto.

Para escuchar la Radio:

1. Presione el botón de ESPERA en la unidad para

encenderla.

2. Presione el botón de SOURCE (fuente) para seleccionar el

modo de RADIO.

Búsqueda de emisoras de FM

1. Para buscar en forma automática una emisora de FM,

presione sin soltar los botones

o durante

2 segundos para sintonizar la emisora deseada.

2. Para buscar otra emisora de FM, repita el paso anterior.

3. Para sintonizar manualmente una emisora de FM, presione los

botones

o varias veces hasta encontrar

la recepción óptima. Cada vez que presione los botones

se aumentará o disminuirá la frecuencia en 0.1 MHz.

Emisoras de radio preseleccionadas automáticamente

Mantenga presionado el botón MEM/CLK y la unidad guardará

la emisora de radio deseada.

Programación manual de emisoras preseleccionadas

1. Sintonice la emisora de radio FM que desea almacenar.

2. Presione el botón MEM/CLK y se mostrará “P-01” en la

pantalla LCD.

3. Presione los botones

o para seleccionar el número

predefinido en el que desea almacenar la emisora.

4. Presione el botón MEM/CLK Ahora la emisora quedó

almacenada correctamente en el número predefinido

seleccionado.

5. Repita los pasos anteriores para almacenar otras emisoras de FM.

¡Advertencia! La unidad tiene una memoria programable

de 20 emisoras. Las emisoras programadas se borrarán

cuando se desconecte la energía.

Cómo seleccionar una emisora preseleccionada

Para seleccionar una emisora preseleccionada, presione el

botón REPEAT/MEM- o

/MEM+ en la unidad o el control

remoto.

La radio se sintonizará en la emisora preseleccionada escogida.

Recepción FM estéreo

Cuando se sintoniza la unidad en una transmisión estéreo con

una buena señal, se mostrará “(ST)” en la pantalla LCD.

Operación de un iPhone / iPod en la unidad

principal

1. Presione el botón de ESPERA para encender la unidad.

2. Presione el botón de FUENTE varias veces hasta llegar al modo

iPod. Se iluminará el ícono de “iPod” en la pantalla LCD.

3. Presione el botón o el botón varias veces para

seleccionar la pista de música anterior o siguiente. Presione el

botón

para reproducir o detener la música o el video.

4. Presione el botón REPEAT (repetir) en el control remoto para

repetir la reproducción. Presione una vez para repetir un tema

individual o dos veces para repetir todos los temas.

5. Presione el botón

/ (Menú arriba/abajo), SELECT

y MENU en el control remoto para dirigir el menú del iPod

y otras funciones del iPod. Presione el botón MENU para

mostrar la pantalla de menú del iPod, luego use los botones

, para resaltar los ítems que desea manejar, y presione

el botón SELECT (seleccionar) para confirmar. (También

puede manejar los botones en su iPod)

6. Presione el botón VOL- y VOL+ para ajustar al nivel de sonido

deseado.

7. Presione los botones

/ (Lista de reproducción arriba/

abajo) para seleccionar la lista de reproducción del iPod /

iPhone.

8. Presione los botones

/ (Álbum arriba/abajo) para

seleccionar la lista de reproducción del iPod / iPhone.

9. Presione el botón REPEAT (repetir) para reproducir el archivo

de música reiteradamente. Presione el botón

(mezclar)

para reproducir música en forma aleatoria.

Cómo cargar su iPod o iPhone:

Mientras su iPod o iPhone estén en la plataforma de la unidad,

se recargarán automáticamente hasta que estén totalmente

cargados. Otros tipos de iPod no aptos para plataformas

NO se cargarán.

El iPod o iPhone no se cargarán cuando el producto está

funcionando con las pilas.

Conexión de SALIDA DE VIDEO

Este es un puerto de salida de video para conectar su TV en

la parte trasera de la unidad. Conecte un extremo del cable de

señal del enchufe RCA (no se incluye) al enchufe hembra de

salida de VIDEO, y el otro extremo al enchufe hembra de entrada

de video en su TV.

Siga las instrucciones para acoplar o hacer funcionar un iPod o

iPhone. Tenga en cuenta que el enchufe hembra de su TV debe

estar configurado para aceptar señales de entrada en vez de

salida para que funcione esta característica.

Para los nuevos iPod nano, iPod touch e iPhone, la función de

SALIDA DE VIDEO está deshabilitada en forma predeterminada.

Asegúrese de que “TV Out” esté “ACTIVADO” (ON) en la
