instructions are part of the product. They contain important

information about safety, usage, and disposal. Before using the

This section contains important safety instructions for using the appliance.

This appliance complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use

may result in personal injury and property damage.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an iron, basic precautions should always be followed, including

the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE!

1. Only use an iron for its intended use.

2. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in

water or other liquids.

3. Always turn the iron OFF before plugging or unplugging the

iron from the electrical outlet. Never pull on the cord to dis-

connect the appliance from the electrical outlet; instead, grab

the plug and pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance.

4. Do not let the cord come into contact with hot surfaces. Let

the iron cool completely before putting the iron away. Coil the

cord loosely around the iron when storing.

5. Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet before

ﬁlling it with water, emptying its water reservoir, and when the

it is not in use.

6. Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron

has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric

shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it to a qualiﬁed spe-

cialist for examination and repair. Incorrect assembly might

result in a risk of electric shock when the iron is used after

reassembly.

7. Close supervision is required for any appliance used by or

near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while the iron

is connected or on an ironing board.

8. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or

steam. Use caution when you turn a STEAM IRON upside

down – there might be hot water in the reservoir.

9. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate an iron on the

same circuit with another high wattage appliance.

10. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an

ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating

of the iron shall be used. A cord rated for less current can

result in a risk of ﬁre or electric shock due to overheating.

Care shall be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be

pulled on be tripped over.

► Do not operate appliances with too much power in the same

circuit.

► This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including

children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities

or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are

supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety, or

receive instructions from this person on how to use the appli-

ance. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do

not play with the appliance.

► The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to

the supply power.

► The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the

water reservoir is ﬁlled with water.

► The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are

visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.

► The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.

► When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on

which the stand is placed is stable.

► If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its authorized service agent or similarly qualiﬁed

person in order to avoid a hazard.

To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or

power cords replaced immediately by an authorized

specialist technician or our customer service depart-

ment.

Under no circumstances should you submerge the

steam iron in any liquid or permit liquids to penetrate

into the housing of the steam iron. Do not expose the

appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors.

If any liquid gets into the housing, unplug the appli-

ance immediately and have it repaired by a qualiﬁed

technician.

The surfaces of the appliance can become hot!

► The voltage of the power source must conform to the details

provided on the type plate of the appliance.

► When disconnecting the appliance from the power source,

pull only on the plug itself, never on the cable.

► Never bend (kink) or crush the power cord; always route it in

such a way that it cannot come into contact with hot surfaces

and so that no one can step on or trip over it.

► Remove the plug from the outlet after every use, before clean-

ing the appliance, and when reﬁlling the appliance with water.

► Never touch the power cord or the plug with wet hands.

► Never use the steam iron near water contained in a bath,

shower, sink or other vessels. The proximity of water is

hazardous, even if the appliance is turned oﬀ.

► Do not open the steam iron housing. Have a defective

appliance repaired only by an authorized technician.

► Stop using the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the

power cord is damaged!

► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play

with the appliance.

► The iron and its connecting cable must be kept out of the

reach of children under the age of 8 while the iron is turned

on or cooling down.

Never place your hands in the steam path or on

hot metal parts.

► Hold the steam iron only by the handle when it is hot.

► Do not open the ﬁller opening for the water reservoir while

the iron is in use. Allow the steam iron to cool down ﬁrst and

remove the plug from the power socket.

► Do not put the steam iron away until it has cooled down

completely.

► Use only the ironing temperatures suitable for the material as

stated in the respective care instructions. Otherwise, you could

damage the fabric. If you do not know the correct care instruc-

tions, start with the lowest temperature setting.

► Place the iron only on a level and heat-resistant surface.

The iron must be stable.

► When you want to put the steam iron down, always place it

on its base.

► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing, ( symbol),

the clothing item may not be ironed/steamed. Ignoring this

warning could lead to permanent damage to the clothing

item.

► Do not clean the steam iron with solvents, alcohol or abrasive

cleaning agents. They could damage it.

► The water reservoir should only be ﬁlled with tap water or

distilled water. Otherwise, you will damage the steam iron.

Important cord information

This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of

electric shock, there is only one way this plug is intended to ﬁt

into a polarized outlet. If the plug does not completely ﬁt into the

outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed

electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Proper use

The steam iron is intended exclusively for the ironing of textiles.

The iron may only be used indoors and in domestic households.

All other use is deemed as improper use. It is not suitable for

commercial use!

Before ﬁrst use

1) Remove the steam iron from the packaging.

2) Remove all stickers and protective ﬁlms from the steam iron and

from the sole of the iron -.

► Plastic bags may pose a risk.

To avoid the risks of asphyxiation, keep plastic bags out of the

reach of toddlers and small children.

3) Fill the water reservoir with water (See the section Filling

the water reservoir).

4) Insert the plug into a power socket supplying an electrical

current as detailed on the rating plate.

5) Move the temperature control  to the "MAX" position.

6) Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at the highest

setting.

7) Activate the steam blast button  a couple of times so that

steam comes out of the sole of the iron -.

8) Then iron over a piece of old piece of material to remove any

residues that may remain on the sole of the iron -.

Automatic shut-oﬀ

This steam iron is equipped with an automatic shut-oﬀ system.

This stops the iron from heating up.

If the iron is resting on the sole of the iron - and is not moved for

about 30 seconds, you will hear a warning beep and the control

light for the automatic shut-oﬀ  will ﬂash. The iron will stop heating

up. To deactivate the automatic shut-oﬀ, lift up the iron and move

it gently from side to side. The control light for the automatic

shut-oﬀ  turns oﬀ and the iron heats up again.

If the iron is on its base  and is not moved for about 8 minutes,

there will be a warning beep and the control light for the automatic

shut-oﬀ  ﬂashes. The iron will stop heating up. To deactivate the

automatic shut-oﬀ, lift up the iron and move it gently from side to

side. The control light for the automatic shut-oﬀ  turns oﬀ and

the iron heats up again.

The automatic shut-oﬀ is not intended as a substitute for removing

the plug from the power socket!

It is merely designed to prevent the appliance from overheating

and helps avoid unnecessary power consumption.

However, it does not provide ﬁre protection, e.g. if you place and

leave the hot steam iron on ﬂammable material.

Filling the water reservoir

1) Hold the iron in your hand at an angle.

2) Open the cover of the ﬁller opening for the water reservoir .

3) Using the measuring beaker !, ﬁll the water reservoir with

water to the "MAX" marking, but no further.

4) Close the cover of the ﬁller opening for the water reservoir .

If the water in your location is rated as hard, we recommend that

you mix the tap water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the

jets for the steam blast function could calcify (become blocked

with limescale) prematurely.

To enhance optimal steam blast function, mix tap water with

distilled water according to the following table:

The water hardness level can be queried at your local water

works.

Operation

Plugging in and ironing

Dry ironing without steam is possible at all temperatures; steam

ironing is only possible above the setting range on the

temperature control .

1) Insert the plug into a power socket.

► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing ( ), the gar-

ment must not be ironed. Ignoring this warning could lead to

permanent damage to the clothing item.

2) Check the care instructions on the labels in garments to see if

they are suitable for ironing, and at which temperature setting.

3) Select the appropriate temperature setting with the tempera-

ture control . The temperature control light  lights up. When

the set temperature has been reached, the temperature control

light  turns oﬀ.

Always place the iron on the base  while it heats up. If you

place the iron on the sole of the iron - and do not move it, the

automatic shut-oﬀ will be activated after 30 seconds (see section

Automatic shut-oﬀ) and the appliance stops heating up.

4) Wait until the temperature control light  turns oﬀ. The set

temperature has been reached and you can begin ironing.

If you are ironing very dry and wrinkled fabrics, you can dampen

the material using the spray function. To dampen the material,

press the spray button .

Steam ironing

1) Set the steam control  to the desired steam setting.

2) The temperature control  must be set to at least the

setting. Otherwise no steam will be produced.

Ironing with steam blast

The steam blast function is especially suitable for smoothing

diﬃcult-to-reach parts of a garment.

The temperature control  must be set to at least the setting.

Otherwise no steam will be produced.

1) Raise the steam iron slightly.

2) For a steam blast, press the steam blast button .

You can also use the steam blast function to smooth hanging

textiles.

Hold the iron vertically and press the steam blast button .

Pausing operation of the steam iron

► Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is turned on or

connected to the power supply. Risk of ﬁre and burns!

1) Move the temperature control  to the "MIN" position.

2) Stand the steam iron only on the base .

Turning the steam iron oﬀ

1) Remove the plug from the power socket.

2) Empty the water reservoir and clean the sole of the iron -.

3) Place the cooled-down steam iron on the base .

Anti-drip system

With conventional steam irons, water can drip from the sole of the

iron - if the set temperature is too low. This steam iron, however,

is equipped with a special anti-drip system ( ). At low

temperatures, the steam iron automatically turns oﬀ the steam

blast function. When this happens, a "click" can be heard. If this

happens, you can set a suitable temperature with the temperature

control . As soon as it is reached, steam production is resumed.

Cleaning

Self-cleaning function

1) Fill the water reservoir to the "MAX" marking.

2) Insert the plug into the power socket.

3) Move the temperature control  to the "MAX" position.

4) Set the steam control  to maximum steam power.

5) Allow the steam iron to heat up until the temperature control

light  turns oﬀ and then lights up again.

6) Hold the steam iron horizontally over a suitable container.

7) Press the self-clean button 3 and keep it pressed. Move the

steam iron back and forth a little. Steam and boiling water will

ﬂow from the steam exit holes in the sole of the iron -.

Any impurities that may be present are ﬂushed out.

8) Release the self-clean button 3 as soon as all of the water in

the water reservoir is used up.

9) Dry the sole of the iron - thoroughly. To do this, move the

sole of the iron - back and forth several times over a towel or

an old piece of material.

10) Allow the steam iron to cool down before placing it in storage.

Housing

► Always remove the plug from the power socket before cleaning

the appliance.

► Never open the appliance housing! Otherwise, there is a risk

of an electric shock.

► Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it!

Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!

► Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. They will damage the

surface of the appliance!

► Do not use aggressive, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents!

They could irreparably damage the surface!

♦ Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth only.

♦ Clean the sole of the iron - using a damp cloth and a mild,

non-scouring detergent.

Storage

♦ Empty any remaining water from the water reservoir.

♦ Store the cooled-down appliance in a clean, dust-free and dry

location.

Disposal

Disposal of the appliance

Electrical appliances may not be thrown away as part of normal

household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical appli-

ance, dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions appli-

cable in your state. This will ensure that old electrical appliances

are recycled and environmental pollution is kept to

a minimum. Further information about disposal is available on the

Disposal of the packaging

Note the marking on the diﬀerent packaging materials

and separate them as necessary. The packaging materi-

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

▯ Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.

▯ Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow

the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user

manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

▯ Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts

(such as switches, glass, etc.);

▯ Improper use or transport;

▯ Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

▯ Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, ﬁre, water, etc.);

▯ Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing

screws etc.)

Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under

this warranty. However, some states do not allow the exclusion or

limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation

or exclusion may not apply to you.

What is the period of coverage and warranty resolution?

The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.

At our discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.

What will we not do?

7. Se requiere supervisar estrechamente cualquier dispositivo que

usen niños o que se use cerca de estos. No deje la plancha sin su-

pervisión mientras esté conectada o sobre un burro de planchar.

Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe sumergir la plancha

de vapor en algún líquido ni permitir que los líquidos

penetren en la carcasa de la plancha. No exponga

el dispositivo a la humedad y no lo use en el exterior.

Si algún líquido penetra en la carcasa, desenchufe de

inmediato el dispositivo y pida a un técnico caliﬁcado

¡Las superﬁcies del dispositivo pueden calentarse!

► El voltaje de la fuente de alimentación debe coincidir con

la información que se indica en la placa de información del

dispositivo.

► Cuando desconecte el dispositivo de la fuente de alimentación,

jale solo de la clavija, nunca el cable.

► No limpie la plancha de vapor con solventes, alcohol o

► El depósito del agua deberá llenarse solamente con agua de la

llave o agua destilada. De lo contrario, la plancha se dañará.

Información importante sobre el cable

Este dispositivo tiene una clavija polarizada. Para reducir el

riesgo de descargas eléctricas, solo hay una manera en que

esta clavija puede introducirse en un contacto polarizado. Si la

Antes del primer uso

1) Retire la plancha de vapor del empaque.

2) Retire todas las etiquetas y películas protectoras de la plancha

de vapor y de la suela de la plancha -.

► Las bolsas de plástico pueden signiﬁcar un riesgo. Para evitar

riesgos de asﬁxia, mantenga las bolsas de plástico fuera del

alcance de los bebés y niños pequeños.

3) Llene el depósito de agua (vea la sección Llenado del

depósito de agua).

4) Inserte la clavija en una toma de corriente que proporcione

una corriente eléctrica como se indica en la placa de especiﬁ-

caciones.

5) Mueva el control de temperatura  a la posición “MAX”.

6) Caliente la plancha de vapor durante varios minutos en el

ajuste más alto.

7) Active el botón de chorro de vapor  un par de veces

para que el vapor salga por la suela de la plancha -.

8) Planche sobre un pedazo de tela que no sirva, para eliminar

cualquier residuo de producción que pudiera quedar en la

suela de la plancha -.

Apagado automático

Esta plancha está equipada con un sistema de apagado automá-

tico. Este detiene el calentamiento de la plancha.

Si la plancha está reposando sobre la suela - y no se mueve

durante alrededor de 30 segundos, escuchará una alarma de

advertencia y la luz de control del apagado automático 

parpadeará. La plancha dejará de calentarse. Para desactivar el

apagado automático, levante la plancha y muévala con cuidado

de un lado a otro. La luz de control del apagado automático 

se apaga y la plancha vuelve a calentarse.

Si la plancha descansa sobre su base  y no se mueve durante

alrededor de 8 minutos, habrá una alarma de advertencia y la

luz de control del apagado automático  destella. La plancha

dejará de calentarse. Para desactivar el apagado automático,

levante la plancha y muévala con cuidado de un lado a otro. La

luz de control del apagado automático  se apaga y la plancha

vuelve a calentarse.

¡El apagado automático no tiene el propósito de sustituir la des-

conexión de la clavija de la toma de corriente!

El propósito de este es prevenir que el dispositivo se sobrecaliente,

y ayuda a evitar consumo innecesario de energía.

Sin embargo, no proporciona protección contra fuego, por ejem-

plo, si usted coloca y deja la plancha sobre material inﬂamable.

Llenado del depósito de agua

1) Sostenga la plancha en su mano un poco inclinada.

2) Abra la tapa de la abertura de llenado del depósito de agua .

3) Con el vaso medidor !, llene el depósito con agua hasta la

marca “MAX”, pero no más.

4) Cierre la tapa de la abertura de llenado del depósito de agua .

Si el agua de su localidad se clasiﬁca como dura, le recomenda-

mos mezclar el agua de la llave un poco de agua destilada. De

lo contrario, los conductos del vapor para la función de chorro

de vapor podrían calciﬁcarse (obstruirse con escamas) de forma

prematura.

Para optimizar la función óptima del chorro de vapor, mezcle

agua de la llave con agua destilada de acuerdo con la tabla

Operación

Conexión y planchado

El planchado en seco sin vapor es posible en todas las temperatu-

ras; el planchado con vapor solo es posible por arriba del rango

de ajuste en el control de temperatura .

1) Inserte la clavija en un conector de alimentación.

► Si las instrucciones de cuidado de la ropa prohíben planchar

( ), la prenda no debe plancharse. Si se ignora esta adver-

tencia, puede causarse daño permanente a la prenda.

2) Revise las instrucciones de cuidado en las etiquetas de las pren-

das para ver si son adecuadas para plancharse y a qué ajuste

de temperatura.

3) Seleccione el ajuste de temperatura adecuado con el control de

temperatura . La luz de control de temperatura  se ilumina.

La luz de control de temperatura  se apaga una vez que se

alcanza la temperatura establecida.

Mientras se calienta, coloque siempre la plancha sobre la base .

Si coloca la plancha sobre la suela - y no la mueve, se activará

el apagado automático después de 30 segundos (vea la sección

Apagado automático) y el dispositivo deja de calentarse.

4) Espere hasta que la luz de control de temperatura  se

apague. Se ha alcanzado la temperatura establecida y puede

empezar a planchar.

Si plancha telas muy secas y arrugadas, puede humedecer el

material con la función de rociado. Para humedecer el material,

presione el botón de rociado .

Planchado con vapor

1) Coloque el control de vapor  en el ajuste de vapor deseado.

2) El control de temperatura  debe ﬁjarse por lo menos en el

ajuste .

De lo contrario, no se producirá vapor.

Planchado con chorro de vapor

La función de chorro de vapor es adecuada especialmente para

alisar partes difíciles de alcanzar en una prenda.

El control de temperatura  debe ﬁjarse por lo menos en el

ajuste . De lo contrario, no se producirá vapor.

1) Levante ligeramente la plancha.

2) Para producir un chorro de vapor, presione el botón de chorro

de vapor .

También puede usar la función de chorro de vapor para alisar

textiles que cuelgan.

Sostenga la plancha verticalmente y presione el botón de

chorro de vapor .

Pausa de la operación de la plancha de vapor

► Nunca deje la plancha de vapor sola si está encendida o

conectada a la corriente eléctrica. ¡Riesgo de incendio y

quemaduras!

1) Mueva el control de temperatura  a la posición “MIN”.

2) Coloque la plancha solamente sobre la base .

Apagado de la plancha de vapor

1) Desconecte la clavija de la toma de corriente.

2) Vacíe el depósito de agua y limpie la suela de la plancha -.

3) Coloque la plancha de vapor enfriada sobre la base .

Sistema contra goteo

En las planchas de vapor convencionales, el agua puede gotear

de la suela de la plancha - si el ajuste de temperatura está muy

bajo. Esta plancha de vapor, sin embargo, está equipada con un

sistema especial contra el goteo ( ). A bajas temperatu-

ras, la plancha apaga automáticamente la función de chorro de

vapor. Cuando esto ocurre, se escucha un clic. Si esto ocurre, ﬁje

una temperatura adecuada con el control de temperatura . Tan

pronto como este se alcance, la producción de vapor se reanuda.

Limpieza

1) Llene el depósito de agua hasta la marca “MAX”.

2) Inserte la clavija en la toma de corriente.

3) Mueva el control de temperatura  a la posición “MAX”.

4) Fije el control de vapor  en la máxima potencia de vapor.

5) Permita que la plancha se caliente hasta que la luz de control

de temperatura  se apague y vuelva a encenderse.

6) Sostenga la plancha de vapor en forma horizontal sobre un

recipiente adecuado.

7) Presione el botón de autolimpieza 3 y manténgalo así. Mueva

la plancha de vapor un poco hacia adelante y hacia atrás. Por

los oriﬁcios de salida en la suela de la plancha - ﬂuirán vapor

y agua hirviendo. Cualquier impureza que pudiera estar presen-

te será expulsada.

8) Suelte el botón de autolimpieza 3 tan pronto como el agua

del depósito se agote.

9) Seque completamente la suela de la plancha -. Para hacer

esto, mueva la suela de la plancha - hacia adelante y hacia

atrás varias veces sobre una toalla o un pedazo de tela que no

sirva.

10) Deje que la plancha de vapor se enfríe antes de guardarla.

Carcasa

► Desconecte siempre la clavija de la toma de corriente antes de

limpiar el dispositivo.

► ¡Nunca abra la carcasa del dispositivo! De lo contrario, existe

el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.

► ¡Permita que el dispositivo se enfríe antes de limpiarlo! ¡De lo

contrario, existe el riesgo de quemaduras!

► No use solventes o agentes de limpieza abrasivos. ¡Estos daña-

rán la superﬁcie del dispositivo!

► ¡No use productos de limpieza agresivos, químicos o abrasi-

vos! ¡Estos pueden dañar irreparablemente la superﬁcie del

dispositivo!

♦ Limpie la carcasa solamente con una tela suave y seca.

♦ Limpie la suela de la plancha - con una tela humedecida y

un detergente suave que no sea abrasivo.

Almacenamiento

♦ Vacíe el agua restante del depósito de agua.

♦ Guarde el dispositivo una vez enfriado en un lugar limpio,

libre de polvo y seco.

Eliminación del dispositivo

Los dispositivos eléctricos no deben ser desechados como parte
