9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by

the appliance manufacturer may result in re, electric

10. This power base is designed solely for use with this

Kettle. Do not attempt to use this Kettle with any

other power base. Do not use the power base for other

than intended use.

11. The Kettle is designed for use with this power base.

It must never be used on a range top.

12. Do not place this Kettle in a microwave oven.

13. Do not use outdoors.

14. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Do not

let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch

hot surfaces.

15. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner,

or in a heated oven.

16. Keep appliance at least 4 inches away from walls or

other objects during operation. Do not place any

objects on top of appliance while it is operating.

Place the appliance on a surface that is resistant

to heat.

CAUTION: To prevent the Kettle from overturning, and to

prevent damage to property or injury, always position

the power base on a stable, level surface, out of the

reach of children.

17. To disconnect, lift the illuminated ON/OFF switch

upwards to turn the Kettle OFF. The ON/OFF switch

will darken.

18. Then remove plug from wall outlet.

19. Do not use Kettle for other than its intended purpose.

20. Be certain lid is securely in place before operating

appliance. Scalding may occur if the lid is opened

during heating.

21. Do not clean Kettle with abrasive cleansers, steel wool

pads, or other abrasive material.

lid vents during use.

this instruction manual before operating or cleaning

this appliance.

2. The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a

120V AC electrical outlet only.

3. Use water only in this appliance! Do not add any

other liquids or food products in this appliance. Do

not mix or add anything to the water placed in this

appliance, except as instructed in the User Maintenance

Instructions to clean the appliance.

4. Do not operate your Gooseneck Kettle without water

(dry) or with an insufcient amount of water.

5. Do not ll above the MAX (1L/4.2 cups) water level

indicator. If the Kettle is over-lled, there is a risk

that boiling water may be ejected.

6. To avoid accidental scalding or burns, use extreme

caution while moving this appliance when it contains hot

water, and when pouring hot water. Avoid hot steam emitted

from the Gooseneck Kettle’s lid vents while pouring.

7. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use,

immediately remove the Kettle from the power base, then

unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to repair the

malfunctioning appliance.

8. If this Gooseneck Kettle or power base falls or

accidentally becomes immersed in water or any other

liquid, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the

water! Do not use this appliance after it has fallen

into or has become immersed in water. Contact Consumer

Service for examination and repair.

9. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.

10. Always remove the Gooseneck Kettle from the power base

before lling or before plugging in and heating the

appliance. Never pour water into a heated Kettle.

NOTES ON THE PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider

than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,

this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way.

If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied

electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

NOTES ON THE CORD

a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce

risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping

over a longer cord.

b) Longer detachable power-supply cords are available and

may be used if care is exercised in their use.

c) If a long detachable power-supply cord is used:

1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-

supply cord or extension cord should be at least as

great as the electrical rating of the appliance;

PLASTICIZER WARNING

CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the

nish of the counter top or table top or other furniture,

place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the

appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top.

Failure to do so may cause the nish to darken; permanent

blemishes may occur or stains can appear.

Before Using for the First Time

1. Carefully unpack the Kettle, lid, and power base. Remove all packaging

materials

2. Before rst use, boil 2 to 3 Kettles full of water. Discard water. Rinse

thoroughly. Dry Kettle inside and out with a damp cloth until use.

3. Wipe the power base with a dry cloth.

4. Your Beautiful Gooseneck Kettle is ready for use.

Operation

1. This Beautiful 1 L Gooseneck Kettle’s slanted precision cut spout is

perfect to prepare pour-over coffee. The gooseneck spout improves the

accuracy and control of your hot water pour, ensuring evenly saturated

coffee grounds and rich pour-over coffee extraction. Excellent for tea

and a variety of other hot beverages.

2. Place the power base on a at, stable, clean, dry counter top or table.

Make sure the base is unplugged.

WARNING! This Kettle may be used ONLY with the power base provided.

3. NEVER ll the Gooseneck Kettle when it is positioned on the power base.

Remove the lid and add the desired amount of water to Kettle.

CAUTION: NEVER operate this Kettle without water (dry) or without a

sufcient amount of water.

CAUTION: Do not ll the Kettle past the MAX (1L/4.2 cups) water level

indicator. (See Figure 1.)

4. Add the lid to the Kettle. Make sure the lid is secure before heating.

Place the Kettle onto the power base heater coils.

NEVER use the Gooseneck Kettle without the lid in position.

5. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

NOTE: If the Kettle is accidentally switched ON without sufcient water,

Boil-Dry Protection will automatically turn the unit OFF. (See boil-dry

protection explanation.)

6. Press the illuminated ON/OFF switch down to begin. (See Figure 2) The

ON/OFF switch will illuminate as the Gooseneck Kettle heats water.

7. The Kettle can be removed from

the power base at any time.

Lift the illuminated ON/OFF

switch upwards to turn the

Kettle OFF. The ON/OFF switch

will darken.

8. To avoid the formation of

scale, after dispensing boiling

water, empty the Gooseneck

Kettle, rinse and dry.

Auto OFF

1. The Gooseneck Kettle will automatically turn itself OFF when boiling

temperature is reached. The ON/OFF switch will darken.

2. Unplug the power base when not in use and before cleaning.

WARNING:

• Never lift the Kettle lid when boiling or before pouring water.

• To avoid personal injury, always use extreme caution when pouring hot

water. Make sure lid is in position. Avoid hot steam emitted from the

Gooseneck Kettle’s lid vents during use.

• Do not touch any Kettle surface during and after use.

Boil-Dry Protection

A safety thermostat will automatically turn the Kettle OFF whenever the Kettle

is without sufcient water, or if the Kettle is allowed to boil dry. To reset

the Boil-Dry Protection device, remove the Kettle from the power base and allow

it to cool for at least 15 - 20 seconds before lling with water and re-starting.

CAUTION: Never add water into heated Kettle.

pour-over coffee, tea and a variety of hot beverages.

5. Illuminated ON/OFF switch conrms the Kettle is ON.

User Maintenance Instructions

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable

parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly

must be performed by an authorized service representative.

Care & Cleaning Instructions

WARNING: Never immerse Kettle body, power base, cord, or plug in water or other

liquids.

IMPORTANT: Never use scouring pads or harsh cleansers to clean your Kettle as

they may damage the stainless steel nish.

1. To avoid the formation of scale, after dispensing boiling water, empty

the Gooseneck Kettle, rinse and dry. Do not allow water to sit in the

Kettle overnight.

2. After boiling, make sure the Gooseneck Kettle is unplugged and

completely cool before cleaning.

3. Grasp the handle and remove the Kettle from the power base.

WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE KETTLE OR THE POWER BASE IN WATER.

4. Wipe the Kettle, inside and out, and the power base with a damp cloth or

sponge.

WARNING: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning supplies as

these may damage the nish of the Kettle. Make sure both the power base

and the Kettle’s stainless steel body (inside and out) are completely

dry after cleaning and before use.

Descaling

Minerals, lime and calcium found in hard-water areas can accumulate and affect

the operation of your Kettle. Depending on water conditions and frequency of

use, your Gooseneck Kettle should be cleaned every 3 to 5 uses with distilled

vinegar or fresh lemon juice to remove scale.

1. Before cleaning your Kettle, remove the Gooseneck Kettle from the power

base. Allow to cool.

2. Add 1 part (1 cup) white vinegar or lemon juice to 3 parts (3.25 cups)

cold water to the Gooseneck Kettle.

3. Allow the lled Kettle to stand for 1 hour; then bring the Kettle

contents to a boil.

4. Empty the Kettle, rinse thoroughly, then repeat this process 2 to 3 times.

5. After descaling, rinse the Kettle thoroughly then re-ll with fresh cold

water.

6. Bring clean water to a boil 2 to 3 times using cold water to rinse any

residue and avoid acidic taste.

7. Unplug the Kettle power base from the wall outlet.

Storing Instructions

1. Never store the Kettle while the power base

is still plugged in.

2. Unplug the Kettle and allow it to cool.

3. Store the Kettle with lid in place.

4. Use the cord wrap on the bottom of the base.

(See Figure 3) Never place any stress on cord,

especially where the cord enters the power

base, as this could cause the cord to fray

and break.

5. Store Kettle, lid and power base together in

its box or in a cool, dry place.

17. Para desconectar el hervidor, primero mueva el

de más, corre el riesgo de que se desborde el agua

6. Para evitar escaldaduras o quemaduras, tenga mucho

cuidado al mover el aparato mientras contenga agua

caliente y al verterla. Evite el contacto con el vapor

NOTAS SOBRE EL ENCHUFE

Este aparato posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es

Antes de usar por primera vez

1. Desembale con cuidado el hervidor, la tapa y la base de alimentación.

Retire todos los materiales de embalaje.

2. Antes de utilizar el hervidor por primera vez, ponga a hervir agua 2 o

3 veces con el hervidor lleno. Tire el agua. Enjuague bien el hervidor.

Séquelo por dentro y por fuera con un paño húmedo antes de usarlo.

3. Limpie la base de alimentación con un paño seco.

4. Su hermoso hervidor de cuello de cisne está listo para usar.

Funcionamiento

1. Este hermoso hervidor de cuello de cisne de 1 L cuenta con un pico

inclinado con precisión que es perfecto para preparar café de ltro. El

pico de cuello de cisne mejora la precisión y el control del vertido de

agua caliente, lo que garantiza que los granos de café se impregnen de

manera uniforme y que se produzca una abundante extracción de café. Es

excelente para preparar té y otras bebidas calientes.

2. Coloque la base de alimentación sobre una mesa o mostrador plano,

estable, limpio y seco. Asegúrese de que la base esté desenchufada.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Este hervidor puede utilizarse ÚNICAMENTE con la base de

alimentación suministrada.

3. NUNCA llene el hervidor de cuello de cisne cuando esté colocado en la

base de alimentación. Retire la tapa y añada la cantidad de agua deseada

al hervidor.

PRECAUCIÓN: No utilice NUNCA este hervidor sin agua (en seco) o sin una

cantidad suciente de agua.

PRECAUCIÓN: No agregue agua al hervidor por encima del indicador de

nivel de agua MAX (MÁXIMO) (1 L/4.2 tazas). (Ver Figura 1).

4. Añada la tapa al hervidor. Asegúrese de que la tapa esté bien colocada

antes de calentar el agua. Coloque el hervidor en las bobinas de

calentamiento de la base de alimentación.

No utilice NUNCA el hervidor de cuello de cisne si la tapa no se colocó

de forma correcta.

5. Enchufe el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente de 120 V de CA.

NOTA: Si el hervidor se enciende por error sin suciente agua, la

función de protección contra la ebullición en seco apagará el aparato

de forma automática. (Ver la explicación de la protección contra la

ebullición en seco).

6. Presione el interruptor ON/OFF (ENCENDIDO/APAGADO) iluminado hacia abajo

para comenzar. (Ver Figura 2). El interruptor ON/OFF (ENCENDIDO/APAGADO)

se iluminará mientras el hervidor de cuello de cisne caliente el agua.

7. El hervidor puede retirarse de la base de alimentación en cualquier

momento. Para apagar el

hervidor, mueva el interruptor

ON/OFF (ENCENDIDO/APAGADO)

iluminado hacia arriba. La

luz del interruptor ON/OFF

(ENCENDIDO/APAGADO) se apagará.

8. Para evitar la formación de

incrustaciones, después de

verter agua hirviendo, vacíe el

hervidor de cuello de cisne,

enjuáguelo y séquelo.

Apagado automático

1. El hervidor de cuello de cisne se apagará de forma automática cuando

alcance la temperatura de ebullición. La luz del interruptor ON/OFF

(ENCENDIDO/APAGADO) se apagará.

2. Desenchufe la base de alimentación cuando no la use y antes de limpiar

el aparato.

ADVERTENCIA:

• No levante nunca la tapa del hervidor cuando esté hirviendo o antes de

verter agua.

• Para evitar lesiones, tome siempre extrema precaución al verter agua

caliente. Asegúrese de que la tapa esté en su sitio. Evite el contacto

con el vapor caliente que sale de las rejillas de ventilación de la tapa

del hervidor de cuello de cisne durante su uso.

• No toque ninguna supercie del hervidor mientras lo use ni después de

usarlo.

Protección contra la ebullición en seco

Un termostato de seguridad apagará de forma automática el hervidor cuando no

contenga suciente agua o si se permite que el hervidor haga ebullición en

seco. Para restablecer el dispositivo de protección contra ebullición en seco,

retire el hervidor de la base de alimentación y deje que se enfríe durante

un período de al menos 15 a 20 segundos antes de llenarlo con agua y volver a

ponerlo en marcha.

PRECAUCIÓN: No añada nunca agua cuando el hervidor esté caliente.

Notas sobre el hermoso hervidor de cuello de cisne

1. El potente sistema de ebullición de 1200 vatios permite que un hervidor

lleno (1 L/4.2 tazas) alcance la temperatura de ebullición en menos de

5.5 minutos.

2. Rinde un poco más de 4 tazas de café o té.

3. El pico inclinado con precisión se diseñó especialmente para preparar un

Instrucciones de mantenimiento para el usuario

Este aparato necesita poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que el usuario

pueda reparar. No intente repararlo por cuenta propia. Cualquier servicio que

requiera que se desarme el aparato debe realizarse por medio de un representante

de servicio autorizado.

Instrucciones de limpieza y cuidado

ADVERTENCIA: Nunca sumerja el hervidor, la base de alimentación, el cable o el

enchufe en agua u otros líquidos.

IMPORTANTE: No utilice nunca estropajos o limpiadores agresivos para limpiar su

hervidor, ya que pueden dañar el acabado de acero inoxidable.

1. Para evitar la formación de incrustaciones, después de verter agua

hirviendo, vacíe el hervidor de cuello de cisne, enjuáguelo y séquelo.

No permita que quede agua en el hervidor durante la noche.

2. Después de hervir agua, asegúrese de que el hervidor de cuello de cisne

esté desenchufado y completamente frío antes de limpiarlo.

3. Sujete el asa y quite el hervidor de la base de alimentación.

ADVERTENCIA: NO SUMERJA EL HERVIDOR NI LA BASE DE ALIMENTACIÓN EN AGUA.

4. Limpie el hervidor, por dentro y por fuera, y la base de alimentación

con un paño húmedo o una esponja.

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrese de no utilizar productos químicos agresivos ni

productos de limpieza abrasivos, ya que estos pueden dañar el acabado

del hervidor.

Asegúrese de que tanto la base de alimentación como la estructura

de acero inoxidable del hervidor (por dentro y por fuera) estén

completamente secos después de la limpieza y antes de su uso.

Descalcificación

Los minerales, la cal y el calcio que se encuentran en las zonas de agua dura

pueden acumularse y afectar el funcionamiento de su hervidor. Según las

condiciones del agua y la frecuencia de uso, su hervidor de cuello de cisne debe

limpiarse luego de un período de 3 a 5 usos con vinagre destilado o jugo de limón

fresco para eliminar las incrustaciones.

1. Antes de limpiar su hervidor, retírelo de la base de alimentación. Deje

que se enfríe.

2. Añada 1 parte (1 taza) de vinagre blanco o jugo de limón a 3 partes

(3.25 tazas) de agua fría en el hervidor de cuello de cisne.

3. Deje que el agua del hervidor lleno repose durante 1 hora y, luego,

póngala a hervir.

4. Vacíe el hervidor, enjuáguelo bien y repita este proceso 2 o 3 veces.

5. Después de la descalcicación, enjuague bien el hervidor y vuelva a

llenarlo con agua limpia y fría.

6. Ponga a hervir agua limpia y fría de 2 a 3 veces para quitar cualquier

residuo y evitar que el agua luego posea un sabor ácido.

7. Desenchufe la base de alimentación del hervidor del tomacorriente de pared.

ADVERTENCIA:

• Para evitar lesiones a las personas, siempre tener extrema precaución al

manipular agua caliente.

• No tocar ninguna supercie de la tetera de temperatura programable

durante el funcionamiento ni luego de este.

• Nunca levantar la tapa de la tetera al hervir agua.

Instrucciones de almacenamiento

1. No guarde nunca el hervidor si la base de

alimentación está enchufada.

2. Desenchufe el hervidor y deje que se enfríe.

3. Guarde el hervidor con la tapa puesta.

4. Utilice el envoltorio del cable de la parte

inferior de la base. (Ver Figura 3). No ejerza

nunca ninguna tensión sobre el cable, en

especial en la zona en la que este ingresa en

la base de alimentación, ya que esto podría

provocar que el cable se deshilache y se

rompa.

5. Guarde el hervidor, la tapa y la base de

alimentación juntos en su caja o en un lugar

fresco y seco.
