Getting Your Device Ready for Use
Installation
1. Turn the latch handle to unlock the
battery cover and detach it.
2. Select models only: Insert the SIM
card with the chip side facing up
and the beveled corner pointing to
the slot.
3. Insert the battery’s connector end
first and then lower the other side.
4. Replace the battery cover and turn
the latch handle to the locked
position.
Charging the Battery
Connect the AC adapter to
charge the battery.
The charge indicator glows in
amber when charging is in
progress. When the battery is
fully charged, the amber
indicator turns into green.
Fully charge the battery before
using your device for the first
time.
Performing the Initial
Startup
1. Press the power button to turn on
your device.
The backlight of the keypad will
light up and, after a few seconds,
the setup screen appears.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the setup wizard.
3. Select models only: If a SIM card has
been inserted and the mobile phone
network operator (or you) has set
the PIN, you will be prompted to
enter the PIN.
4. After the setup is completed, the
Today screen appears. You can now
use your device.

Operating Basics
Suspend Mode
Your device automatically suspends
after a period of inactivity (default 3
minutes while on battery power and
5 minutes while on external power).
To resume operation, press the power
button.
Turning Off
If you are not using your device, press
and hold the power button for at
least 3 seconds until the device plays a
notification sound and turns off.
Today Screen
The Today screen shows your
upcoming appointments, active tasks,
information about e-mail messages,
and more. You can tap a section on
the Today screen to open the
program that is associated with that
section.
Using the Stylus
Use the stylus to navigate and select
objects on the screen.
z Tap Touch the screen once with
the stylus to open items and select
options.
z Drag Hold the stylus on the screen
and drag across the screen to select
text and images.
z Tap and hold Tap and hold the
stylus on an item to see a list of
actions available for that item.
Using the Keypad
n Phone keys to enter numbers/text
and to provide functions (with Fn
lock) indicated by the orange icons.
o Send key to dial or answer a call
(select models only).
p Left/Right Soft key
q Fn Lock
r Camera key to use the camera.
s End key to end or reject a call (select
models only) and to return to the
Today screen.
t F1 key to start TacLink.
Start key (with Fn lock) to open the
Start menu.

Using the Phone (Select Models Only)
Starting the Phone
Program
Start the Phone program by any of the
three methods:
z Press the Send key on the device.
z Tap Phone (left soft key) on the
Today screen.
z Tap
Æ Phone.
Dialing a Phone Number
1. When on the Today screen: Press
the numeric keys on your device to
start entering the phone number.
While in the Phone program: Enter
the phone number using the
physical or onscreen keypad.
2. As you enter the phone number,
the program searches Contacts, Call
History, and Speed Dial to find a
matching name and/or number.
When you see the name of the
person to call listed, select it and
the desired phone number.
Or, you can continue entering the
complete phone number.
3. Press the Send key on your device
to make the call.
During a Call
During a call, you can use the soft keys
for various operations.
Answering a Call
To answer an incoming call, press the
Send key on your device or tap Answer
(left soft key).
Ending a Call
To end a call, press the End key on your
device or tap End on the screen.

Erste Schritte zur Benutzung
Installation
1. Drehen Sie zur Freigabe der
Akkufachabdeckung den Riegel;
entfernen Sie die Abdeckung.
2. Nur ausgewählte Modelle:
Stecken Sie die SIM-Karte mit der
abgeschrägten Kante voran in den
Schlitz; der Chip muss nach oben
zeigen.
3. Legen Sie den Akku mit dem
Anschluss voran ein, drücken Sie
dann die andere Seite nach unten.
4. Bringen Sie die Akkufachabdeckung
wieder an; drehen Sie zum

Aufladen des Akkus
Verbinden Sie zum Aufladen
des Akkus das AC-Netzteil.
Während des Ladevorgangs
leuchtet die Ladeanzeige gelb.
Wenn der Akku voll aufgeladen

Grundbedienung
Suspend-Modus
Ihr Gerät aktiviert nach einer
bestimmten Inaktivitätszeit (in der
Standardeinstellung 3 Minuten bei

Telefon
Es gibt folgende drei Möglichkeiten,
das Programm Phone (Telefon) zu
starten:
z Drücken Sie die Senden-Taste auf
dem Gerät.
z Tippen Sie im Bildschirm Heute auf
Phone (linke Soft-Taste).
z Tippen Sie auf
Æ Phone.
Wählen einer
Telefonnummer
1. Im Bildschirm Heute: Drücken Sie
die numerischen Tasten auf Ihrem
Gerät, um die Telefonnummer
einzugeben.
Im Programm Phone: Geben Sie die
Telefonnummer über das
tatsächliche Tastenfeld oder das
Tastenfeld auf dem Bildschirm ein.
2. Während Eingabe der Telefon-
nummer sucht das Programm in
Kontakte, Anrufverlauf und
Kurzwahl nach einem Namen
und/oder einer Nummer passend
zu den Suchkriterien. Wird der
Name der anzurufenden Person
aufgelistet,
wählen Sie ihn
und die
gewünschte
Telefon-
nummer an.
Oder Sie

komplette

3. Drücken Sie die Senden-Taste auf

Preparar el dispositivo para su uso
Instalación
1. Gire el asa del seguro para
desbloquear la tapa de la batería y
quítela.

Modo de suspensión
Su dispositivo se suspende automática-

Inicie el programa Teléfono a través de
cualquiera de los siguientes tres métodos:

Configurer votre appareil pour utilisation
Installation
1. Tournez la poignée de verrouillage
pour débloquer le couvercle de la
batterie et détachez-le.
2. Pour les modèles sélectionnés
uniquement: Insérez la carte SIM
avec le côté puce vers le haut et le
coin biseauté orienté vers la fente.
3. Insérez l'extrémité connecteur de la
batterie d'abord, puis abaissez
l'autre côté.
4. Remettez en place le couvercle de la
batterie et faites tourner la poignée
en position verrouillée.
Charger la batterie
Connectez l'adaptateur CA pour
recharger la batterie.
L'indicateur de charge s'allume
en orange lorsque la charge est
en cours. Le voyant orange
devient vert lorsque la batterie
est entièrement chargée.
Veillez bien à charger complete-
ment la batterie avant d’utiliser

Mode Suspension
Votre appareil se met automatiquement
en veille après une certaine période

Pour lancer le programme Phone,

Eseguire l’avvio iniziale
1. Premere il pulsante di alimentazione
per accendere il dispositivo.
La retroilluminazione della tastiera si
accenderà e dopo qualche secondo,
verrà visualizzata la schermata di
configurazione.
2. Per completare la procedura guidata
di installazione, seguire le istruzioni
visualizzate sullo schermo.
3. Solo modelli selezionati: Se è stata
inserita una scheda SIM e l'operatore
di telefonia mobile (oppure l'utente)
ha impostato un PIN, verrà richiesto
di inserirlo.
4. Una volta completata la configu-
razione viene visualizzata la
schermata Oggi. Adesso è possibile
utilizzare il dispositivo.

Nozioni di base per il funzionamento
Modalità sospensione
Il dispositivo entra automaticamente
in sospensione dopo un determinato
periodo di inattività (3 minuti è il
periodo predefinito per la batteria e 5
minuti per l'alimentazione esterna).
Per poterlo utilizzare di nuovo,
premere il pulsante di accensione.
Spegnimento
Se non si sta usando il dispositivo,
tenere premuto il pulsante alimen-
tazione per almeno tre secondi, finché
il dispositivo emette un segnale
acustico e si spegne.
Schermata Oggi
La schermata Oggi mostra
appuntamenti futuri, attività in corso
e informazioni relative ai messaggi di
posta elettronica.
È possibile toccare
una sezione della
schermata Oggi
per aprire il
programma
associato a quella
sezione.
Uso dello stilo
Usare lo stilo per navigare e
selezionare oggetti sullo schermo.
z Toccare Toccare lo schermo una
volta con lo stilo per aprire
oggetti e selezionare opzioni.
z Trascinare Tenere lo stilo fermo
sullo schermo e trascinarlo

準備使用產品
安裝
1. 將電池蓋的拉環旋轉至鬆開位置以卸
下電池蓋。
2. 限含電話功能之機型：將 SIM 卡的晶
片面朝上，缺口的一角朝向插槽插入
插槽內。
3. 以傾斜角度將電池的接頭端插入接
合，然後再放下另一端。
4. 裝回電池蓋，將拉環旋轉至鎖定位置。
充電
接上電源整流器充電。
充電指示燈亮橙色表示充電進行
中。充飽電時，充電指示燈改亮
綠色。
建議您先將電池充飽電再開始使
用本裝置。
首次開機
1. 按壓一下電源鈕開機。
鍵台背光會亮起，幾秒鐘之後螢幕出現
設定畫面。
2. 請根據螢幕指示依序完成設定精靈。

基本操作
進入待機狀態
當系統一段時間沒運作（預設為使用電池

選畫面上的單元，開啟相關程式。
使用觸控筆
用觸控筆點選螢幕達到與裝置溝通的目的。
z 點選 以觸控筆點一下螢幕即可開啟功
能或選定項目。
z 拖曳 以觸控筆點著螢幕不放並拖動，
如此可選取大範圍文字或影像。
z 點選並按住 以觸控筆點選並按住項目，
如此可檢視該項目的動作清單。
使用鍵台
n 手機數字鍵 用來輸入數字和文字；當 Fn
鎖定時則提供橙色圖示所代表的次功能。
o 送出鍵 用來撥接電話（限含電話功能之
機型）。
p 左／右軟鍵
q Fn 鎖定鍵
r 相機鍵 用來使用相機功能。
s 結束鍵 用來結束通話或回絕電話（限含
電話功能之機型） 和回到 Today 畫面。
t F1 鍵 用來開啟 TacLink 程式。
開始鍵 （當 Fn 鎖定時）用來開啟開始
功能表。
u F2 鍵 用來開啟 Notes 程式。
確認鍵 （當 Fn 鎖定時）用來關閉目前

使用電話功能（僅限特定機型）
開啟電話程式
您可以使用下列任一方法開啟電話程式：
z 按壓機身的 Send 鍵。
z 在 Today 畫面點選 Phone （左軟
鍵）。
z 點選
Æ Phone （電話）。
撥電話號碼
1. 在 Today 畫面時：按機身上的數字鍵
開始撥電話號碼。系統會自動切換到電
話程式。
在電話程式時：利用機身的鍵台或螢幕
軟鍵台輸入電話號碼。
2. 當您輸入數字時，系統隨即在聯絡人、
通話紀錄、速撥等資料庫裡搜尋符合的
號碼或人名。電話或人名出現在清單
時，您可以直接選取。
或者您可以繼續輸入完整的電話號碼。
3. 按機身的 Send 鍵撥出電話。
通話中的操作
通話時，您可以使用螢幕的軟鍵進行各類
操作。
接電話
按機身的 Send 鍵或點選螢幕的 Answer
（回應）（左軟鍵）即可接電話。
結束通話
按機身的 End 鍵或點選螢幕的 End（結束）
即可結束通話。

使用前的准备工作
安装
1. 将电池盖的拉环旋转至松开位置以卸
下电池盖。
2. 限含电话功能的型号：将 SIM 卡的芯

基本技能
进入待机状态

デバイスの使用準備
インストール方法
1. ツマミを回してバッテリーカバーを取り外
します。
2. 指定モデルのみ: SIM カードのチップ側
を表に切り欠き部分側をスロットに向け
てカードを完全にスロットに挿します。
3. バッテリーのコネクタ側を先に入れてか
ら、他端を入れます。
4. バッテリーカバーを戻してから、ツマミを
ロック位置に回します。
バッテリを充電する
AC アダプタを接続してバッテリーを
充電します。
充電中、充電インジケータは黄色に
点灯します。バッテリーがフル充電
されると、黄色いインジケーターが
緑色に変わります。
最初に本装置を使用する際は、バッ
テリーをフル充電してください。
初期スタートアップを実行する
1. 電源ボタンを押して装置の電源を入れま
す。
キーパッドのバックライトが点灯し、数秒
後セットアップ画面が表示されます。
2. 画面上の指示に従ってセットアップウィザ
ードを完了させます。
3. 指定モデルのみ: SIM カードが装着され
携帯ネットワーク業者 (またはユーザー)
によって PIN が設定されている場合は、
PIN 入力が求められます。
4. セットアップが完了すると、トゥデイ画面
が表示されます。これで装置が使用でき
ます。

基本スキル
サスペンドモード
本装置は一定時間操作しないと自動的に
サスペンドモードへ移行します (デフォルトで
はバッテリー使用時 3 分、外部電源使用時
5 分)。操作を再開するには、電源ボタンを
押します。
電源オフ
装置を使用しない場合は、電源ボタンを 3
秒以上押し続けると通知音が鳴って電源が
オフになります。
トゥデイ画面
トゥデイ画面には、近づいている予定、有
効なタスク、E メール
メッセージ、その他
情報が表示されま
す。トゥデイ画面の
対応する部分をタッ
プすることで、その
部分に関連したプロ

スタイラスを使用する
スタイラスを使ってナビゲートしたり、画面
のオブジェクトを選択します。
z タップ: スタイラスで画面に一度触れてア

面をドラッグしながらテキストや画像を選
択します。

電話の使用方法 (指定モデルのみ)
電話プログラムの起動

3. 本装置の Send (送信) キーを押すとダ
イヤル発信します。
通話中
通話中に、ソフトキーを使って種々の操作が
行えます。
着信への応答
着信を受けるには、本装置の Send (送信)
キーを押すか、Answer (応答) (左ソフトキ
ー)をタップします。
通話の終了
通話を終わるには、本装置の End (終了) キ
ーを押すか、画面の End (終了) をタップしま
す。
