USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an authorized service
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the
cord tightly around the appliance. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
appliance, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or if unit
stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.
LIMITED FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 60 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed, together with your purchase receipt and
$7.50 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 60
months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS,
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

INSTRUCTIONS
This curling wand is intended for household
use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. This unit is designed to be operated at
120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fi t in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fi t fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fi t, contact a qualifi ed electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
TOURMALINE CERAMIC
EASY-GLIDE BARREL
The barrel of your new curling wand has a
tourmaline ceramic easy-glide surface, the
newest technology. This means it’s not only
simpler to clean off styling product residue,
etc., after each use, but you’ll fi nd that hair
glides easily over the surface of the barrel as
you’re curling. The tourmaline ceramic
surface also helps smooth down fl yaways
and frizzies. It evenly distributes heat so that
the style you create has a salon-perfect, silky
smooth, shining fi nish. Hair also slips right
through the barrel after it’s curled.

TO FILL WATER RESERVOIR
WARNING: Never remove reservoir when
hot. Allow to cool before filling.
Remove reservoir from unit. To fill: Open
rubber reservoir cap and fill with distilled
water. Replace rubber cap and snap back
onto unit. ONLY USE DISTILLED WATER.
NATURAL IONIC STEAM TECHNOLOGY
Natural conditioning ions better protect hair
from damage, and steam mist infuses
healthy moisture. Frequent shampooing can
have a drying effect on hair. The natural
steam mist will help refresh and add shine
between shampoos.
GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dry
before using the curling wand. Plug the wand
into an electrical outlet. Turn on unit. Allow
unit to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling wand’s barrel will
get very hot within a few seconds and
should not be placed in contact with the
skin after the curling wand has been
turned on.
The wand’s unique 20 high heat temperature
settings and Instant Heat technology provide
styling versatility for all hair types. If you have
fi ne hair, a low temperature will provide the
best results. If you have thick, wavy or
hard-to-curl hair, keep the heat setting on
high. You can vary the wand’s temperature
according to your particular need!

Take a 1-in.-wide section of hair,
starting 2 in. from the scalp.

Wind the section of hair around the
thicker portion of the barrel toward the
cool tip.

Hold the end of
the hair in place at
the cool tip for 5 to 8
seconds, depending
on hair type, and then
release. No clamp
allows you to easily
curl hair without kinks. For tighter,
bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose,
free-fl owing curls, roll more hair. To set
the curl, do not comb or brush hair until
it cools.

Repeat process on additional sections
of hair until you achieve the hairstyle
you desire.
Some experience is necessary when
learning to use this curling wand. After
using it several times, you will learn the ideal
way to curl and style your hair.
IMPORTANT
A heat-protective glove has been supplied to
help protect your fi ngers from temporary
contact with the barrel when wrapping the hair
around the appliance.
Please note that the heat-protective glove is
only designed to give initial contact protection.
Discomfort will be caused by prolonged contact
with the hot surface.
Never leave your curling wand on and
unattended. However, should you fail to turn
the wand off, it will shut itself off automati-
cally within 60 minutes.

Este aparato ha sido diseñado para funcionar

El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha
que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se
podrá enchufar de una sola manera en la
toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara
en la toma de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no
entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.
REVESTIMIENTO DE

El tubo del rizador está cubierto con una
capa de cerámica/turmalina increíblemente
suave, el resultado de una tecnología de
punta. Notará que el cabello se desliza
fácilmente sobre el tubo y que es muy fácil
limpiar el aparato después de cada uso.
El revestimiento de cerámica/turmalina

agua aún caliente; Permita que se enfríe
antes de retirarlo.
Retire el depósito del aparato. Para llenar:
Abra el tapón de caucho y llene el depósito
con agua destilada. Cierre el tapón. UTILICE
AGUA DESTILADA SOLAMENTE.

El vapor cargado con iones naturales

cuenta con 20 opciones de temperatura, para

un nivel de temperatura bajo. Si su cabello es
espeso, grueso, ondulado o resistente, le
recomendamos que utilice el nivel de

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
Para conseguir resultados óptimos, aplique
una loción fi jadora ligera sobre el cabello
antes de peinarlo.

Divida el cabello en secciones de
1 pulgada (2.5 cm).

Empezando a 2 pulgadas (5 cm) del
cuero cabelludo, enrolle el cabello alrededor
del tubo hacia la extremidad.

Sostenga el
cabello por las puntas
durante 5–8 segundos
(según el tipo de
cabello), y luego
desenrolle delicada-
mente el cabello.
Siempre obtendrá
hermosos resultados, fácil y rápidamente.
Para obtener rizos más apretados y elásticos,
divida el cabello en secciones más fi nas.
Para obtener ondas más sueltas, enrolle más
cabello. Permita que el cabello se enfríe
antes de peinarlo para "fi jar" los rizos.

Repita el proceso con cada sección de
cabello, hasta conseguir el estilo deseado.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la
manera perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil
y rápidamente.
IMPORTANTE
Incluimos un "guante" protector
termoresistente para proteger sus dedos al
enrollar el cabello alrededor del tubo.
Tenga presente que este "guante" protector
termoresistente no ha sido diseñado para
proporcionar una protección duradera contra el
