NO LO DILUYA ESTE CEMENTO. Esto es sólo para tubos de PVC o para el plástico de PVC. Utilice dentro de 3 años de la fecha estampada en el fondo de la lata. 1. Corte el tubo cuadrado, remueva cualquier rebaba, bisele y limpie el fin del tubo. Realice una prueba de calce en seco y verifique que el tubo se adapte perfectamente a 1⁄3-2⁄3 de profundidad dentro del casquillo de la conexión (hembra). 2. Utilice aplicador adecuado (brocha, cepillo, rodillo o algodón) – de por lo menos ½ del diámetro de tubo. 3. Aplique el base de primer Christy según instrucciones de uso en la lata. El Código de Plomería Uniforme requiere el uso de base de primer de color morado. COMPLETE LOS PASOS SIGUIENTES EN EL LAPSO DE TREINTA SEGUNDOS. 4. Aplique una capa abundante y uniforme sobre el extremo macho del tubo igual a la profundidad del casquillo. Aplique una capa moderada al interior del accesorio. Evite la acumulacion del producto – no permita que el cemento correr hacia abajo dentro del tunel de tubo, extremo de campana o conexión . Repita la aplicación sobre el extremo macho del tubo. El cemento debe llenar todos los vacíos. 5. Ensamble rápidamente mientras el cemento este húmedo. Gire con fuerza 1⁄8 a 1⁄4 de vuelta. Verifique que el extremo del tubo encaje perfectamente en el casquillo de la conexión. Sostenga durante 30 segundos hasta que la union queda fija. Quite exceso de cemento. 6. Espere 15 minutos para alcanzar una buena resistencia a la manipulación. Espere 24 horas para alcanzar la resistencia máxima de la unión. En condiciones de bajas temperaturas (menos de 15 ºC ó 60 ºF) o con tubos de 4” de diámetro o más, deje secar por más tiempo para curación. Vapores pueden encendiarse explosivamente. 2. Evite respirar vapores – abrir las ventanas y puertas. Utilice sólo en areas bien ventiladas o con ventilación forzada (aire debe intercambiarse 10 veces por hora), o con respirador aprobado por NIOSH. Ventile la zanja. Si alguna persona tiene problemas para respirar, mueva al afectado afuera. Administre oxígeno si la dificultad respiratoria continúa. Procure ayuda médica. 3. Aleje del calor, chispas, electricidad estática y llamas libres. 4. No fume, coma o tome al trabajar con este producto. Extinga todas las llamas y pilotos; apague estufas, calentadoras, motores eléctricos y otras fuentes de ignición durante el uso y hasta que hayan desaparecidos tales vapores. 5. No tome internamente. Si ha tragado, tome dos vasos de agua. No induzca vomitar. Llame al médico inmediatamente. 6. En caso de contacto con la piel o los ojos, enjuague abundantemente con agua durante15 minutos. Utilice protección para piel y ojos. 7. Mantenga fuera del alcance de niños. 8. Cierre el envase apretadamente después de usar. 9. Para el uso industrial sólo. Discard if lumpy, jelled, stringy or thickened. DO NOT THIN CEMENT. This is for PVC pipe or for PVC plastic only. Use within 3 years of date stamped on bottom of can. 1. Cut pipe square, debur, bevel and wipe clean. Make trial dry fit—Pipe should fit 1⁄3-2⁄3 snugly into fitting (socket). 2. Use adequate applicator at least 1/2 size of pipe diameter – dauber, brush, roller or swab. 3. Apply Christy’s Primer according to directions on primer can. Uniform Plumbing Code requires the use of a purple primer. COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS WITHIN THIRTY SECONDS. 4. Apply a full even coat to outside male end of pipe equal to socket depth. Apply a moderate coat to inside of fitting. Avoid excess puddling – Do not allow cement to run down inside of barrel of pipe, fitting or bell end. Re-apply to male end of pipe only. Cement should fill all gaps. 5. Assemble quickly while cement is wet. Use force and rotate 1⁄8 to 1⁄4 turn – Make sure pipe end bottoms into fitting socket. Hold for about 30 seconds, to allow joint to set. Wipe off excess cement. 6. Allow 15 minutes for good handling strength. Full joint strength should be reached within 24 hours. For cold temperatures (below 60ºF) or pipe diameters 4” or larger, allow longer cure time. See Installation Guide for Set and Cure Time Chart and additional information. DO NOT TEST WITH AIR. STORE AND USE BETWEEN 40ºF (4ºC) and 110 ºF (43ºC) CAUTIONS: 1. Vapors may ignite explosively. 2. Avoid breathing vapors – open all windows and doors. Use only with cross or forced ventilation (air must turn over 10x per hour), or with NIOSH approved respirator. Ventilate trench. If person has trouble breathing, move to outside. Administer oxygen if difficulty continues. Summon Physician. 3. Keep away from heat, sparks, static electricity and open flames. 4. Do not smoke, eat or drink while working with this product. Extinguish all flames and pilot lights; turn off stoves, heaters, electric motors and other sources of ignition during use and until vapors are gone. 5. Do not take internally. If swallowed, drink two glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Call physician immediately. 6. In case of skin or eye contact, flush thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. Use skin and eye protection. 7. Keep out of reach of children. 8. Close container tightly after use. 9. For industrial use only. Consult SDS for additional information.
