OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling appliance is intended for house-
hold use. Use on Alternating Current (50/60
hertz) only. This unit is designed to be oper-
ated at 120/240 volts AC. This appliance has
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a quali-
fied electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
Note: Do not use this styling appliance
on hair extensions.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This curling iron has dual voltage. It will auto-
matically adjust to the proper voltage. Use an
adapter plug with correct configuration prior
to use in outlet.
SWITCH FUNCTION
To turn on the unit, press the ON/OFF button
for 2 seconds. The green LED will blink. Once
the default temperature has been reached, it
turns solid.
To select your temperature, press the ON/OFF
button again. Press and release button until
you reach the temperature you desire. As the
temperature increases to the next setting, the
LED lights will blink as follows:
Temperature setting is set
to 248˚F (120˚C)
The green LED blinks, then turns solid
when temperature has been reached
Temperature setting is set
to 284˚F (140˚C)
The green and yellow LED lights blink,
then both turn solid when temperature
has been reached

lights blink, then all turn solid when
temperature has been reached

The green, yellow, orange and red LED
lights blink, then all turn solid when

To turn off the unit, press the ON/OFF button
for more than 2 seconds, and the curling iron
will power off. All LED lights will turn off.
TO CURL HAIR
1. Plug the curling iron cord into a standard
household electrical outlet (120/240V). Never
leave your curling iron on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the unit
off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes at 60 Hz or 72 minutes
at 50 Hz.
2. Section dry hair evenly, and comb each
section before winding. Pressing the auto-
matic curl release, place curling iron midway
up the hair section, then spread hair evenly
between spoon and barrel. Release automatic
curl release to hold hair in place. Gently slide
curling iron down to hair ends. To avoid
crimped ends, make sure they are securely
wound under the spoon in the direction of the
desired curl.
Remember, always place the spoon above
the hair strand when making a curl you want
rolled under; place the spoon under the hair
strand when making a flip style.
3. Wind the hair up as far as you want it
curled, being careful not to let the iron touch
the scalp. Hold in place for 8 to 12 seconds,
depending on the texture and length of your
hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair.
For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.
4. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair
and press the automatic curl release. To
set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until
it cools.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling iron. After using the iron
several times, you will learn the ideal way to
curl and style your hair.

Para uso doméstico solamente. Utilícelo
solamente con corriente alterna (50/60 Hz).
Este aparato ha sido diseñado para funcionar
con corriente de 120/240 V AC. El cable
de este aparato está dotado de una clavija
polarizada (una pata es más ancha que la
otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en la toma
de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara en
la toma de corriente, inviértala. Si aún no
entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.
Nota: no utilice este aparato sobre cabello
sintético/extensiones.
DOBLE VOLTAJE
Este aparato es de doble voltaje. Se adaptará
automáticamente al voltaje adecuado. Puede
que sea necesario emplear un adaptador de
enchufes (no se incluye) para utilizarlo fuera
de los Estados Unidos.
CÓMO AJUSTAR LA TEMPERATURA
Para encender el aparato, mantenga oprimido
el botón ON/OFF por 2 segundos; el indicador
luminoso verde empezará a parpadear.
Cuando el aparato alcance la temperatura
por defecto, el indicador luminoso dejará de
parpadear y permanecerá encendido.
Para seleccionar otra temperatura, oprima
repetidamente el botón ON/OFF hasta llegar
a la temperatura deseada, según indican los
indicadores luminosos.

Para apagar el aparato, mantenga oprimido
el botón ON/OFF por 2 segundos; todas las

FUNDAMENTOS DEL RIZADO
1. Conecte el aparato a una toma de
corriente de 120/240 V. Nunca descuide
ni abandone el aparato después de
encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el aparato
se apagará automáticamente después de
60 minutos (con corriente de 60 Hz) o 72
minutos (con corriente de 50 Hz).
2. Divida el cabello seco en secciones
uniformes y peine cada sección. Abra la
tenaza, oprimiendo la manija. Coloque el
aparato a medio camino en una sección y
distribuya el cabello uniformemente entre el
tubo y la pinza. Suelte la manija para sujetar
el cabello. Deslice el aparato suavemente
hacia las puntas. Para evitar tener las puntas
encrespadas, asegúrese de que estén
firmemente posicionadas entre el tubo y la
pinza, en la dirección deseada.
Consejo: para rizar el cabello hacia abajo,
coloque el mechón debajo de la pinza. Para
rizar el cabello hacia arriba, coloque el
mechón encima de la pinza.

3. Enrolle el cabello hacia el cuero cabelludo,
sin permitir que el aparato haga contacto
con este. Mantenga la tenaza cerrada por
8–12 segundos, según la textura y la longitud
del cabello. Para obtener rizos apretados y
elásticos, divida el cabello en secciones más
finas. Para obtener rizos sueltos y naturales,
enrolle secciones más gruesas.
4. Desenrolle el cabello lentamente y
oprima la manija para soltarlo. Permita que
el cabello se enfríe antes de peinarlo para
“fijar” los rizos.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la
manera perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil
y rápidamente.
REVESTIMIENTO DE TITANIO

USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an Authorized Service
Center only. No repairs should be attempted by
the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage
will occur at the high flex point of entry into the
appliance, causing it to rupture and short
circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage.
Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if
unit stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to
store. Allow appliance to cool, then simply store
out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Do not jerk or strain cord at plug connections.
Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance.
Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight
at the point of entry into the appliance.
LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 24 months from the date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on
back, together with your purchase receipt and
$7.50 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 24 months
from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS,
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
