11. This curling wand is hot when in use. Do
not let heated surfaces touch eyes or skin.
12. Do not place the heated curling wand
direct ly on any surface or on the appli-
ance power cord while it is hot or plugged
in. Use the counter rest provided.
13. Do not touch hot surface of the
appliance; use handles or cool tip.
14. Before plugging in, read the information
about dual voltage in the Operating
Instructions section of this manual.
15. Do not use a voltage converter with
this product.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling appliance is intended for house-
hold use. Use on Alternating Current (50/60
hertz) only. This unit is designed to be oper-
ated at 120/240 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Note: Do not use this styling appliance
on hair extensions.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This curling wand has dual voltage. It will
automatically adjust to the proper voltage.
Use an adapter plug with correct configura-
tion prior to use in outlet.
SWITCH FUNCTION
To turn on the unit, press the ON/OFF button
for 2 seconds. The green LED will blink. Once
the default temperature has been reached, it
turns solid.
To select your temperature, press the ON/OFF
button again. Press and release button until
you reach the temperature you desire. As the
temperature increases to the next setting, the
LED lights will blink as follows:

to 284˚F (140˚C)
-The green and yellow LED lights
blink, then both turn solid when
temperature has been reached

-The green, yellow, orange and red
LED lights blink, then all turn solid
when temperature has been reached
To turn off the unit, press the ON/OFF
button for more than 2 seconds, and the
curling wand will power off. All LED
lights will turn off.
TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair.
1. Section hair into upper, middle, and lower
layers, clipping top two out of the way.
2. Layer by layer, curl hair in sections ½ inch
to 1 inch wide. Begin 2 inches from the scalp
and start winding hair around the thickest
end of the barrel. Hold 5 to 10 seconds.
3. For the most natural look, don’t curl ends
of hair! Let curls cool. Shake out or gently
finger-comb.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling wand. After using it
several times, you will learn the ideal way to
curl and style your hair.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR CURLS
FOR TIGHT CURLS: Wrap sections of hair
tightly and hold for a few seconds around
narrow part of barrel.
FOR LOOSE CURLS: Wrap sections of hair
around wider part of barrel
Never leave your curling wand on and
unattended. However, should you fail to
turn the wand off, it will shut itself off
automatically within 60 minutes at
60Hz or 72 minutes at 50Hz.
IMPORTANT
A heat-protective glove has been supplied
to help protect your fingers from temporary
contact with the barrel when wrapping the
hair around the appliance. Please note that
the heat-protective glove is only designed to
give initial contact protection. Discomfort will
be caused by prolonged contact with the
hot surface.

Heat technology. It quickly heats up to

CÓMO CONSEGUIR
RIZOS PERFECTOS
Para conseguir resultados óptimos, aplique
una loción fijadora ligera sobre el cabello
antes de peinarlo.
1. Divida el cabello en tres capas (superior,
intermedia, inferior) y sujete las dos capas
superiores encima de la cabeza.
2. Separe secciones de cabello de ½–1
pulgada (1.5–2.5 cm) de ancho. Empezando
a 2 pulgadas (5 cm) del cuero cabelludo,
enrolle el cabello alrededor del tubo, desde
la base hasta la punta del mismo. Espere por
5–10 segundos antes de soltar el cabello.
3. ¡Para conseguir una apariencia natural, no
rice las puntas del cabello! Permita que los

USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an Authorized Service
Center only. No repairs should be attempted by
the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage
will occur at the high flex point of entry into the
appliance, causing it to rupture and short
circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage.
Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if
unit stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to
store. Allow appliance to cool, then simply store
out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Do not jerk or strain cord at plug connec-
tions. Do not wrap the line cord around the
appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose
and straight at the point of entry into
the appliance.
LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 24 months from the date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on
back, together with your purchase receipt and
$7.50 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 24 months
from the date of manufacture.
