OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This unit is
designed to be operated at 120 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the curling wand. Plug the wand into an
electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The power
indicator light will become illuminated. Allow unit
to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling wand’s barrel will
get very hot within a few seconds and
should not be placed in contact with the
skin after the curling wand has been
turned on.
The appliance’s 30 temperature settings and
instant heat technology combine to provide
styling versatility for all hair textures. If you have
fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick, wavy or coarse hair,
keep the heat setting high. You can vary the
appliance’s temperature according to your
particular need!

Cool Tip
WARNING: The barrel will get very hot within

, press Turbo ON/OFF
button and green light will go on and increase
curling wand temperatures up to 20°C/36°F. To
turn off, press power ON/OFF button again until
red light goes out. Never leave your appliance on
and unattended. However, should you fail to turn
the unit off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes.
TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair.

Take a ½ to 1-in. wide
section of hair, starting 2 in.
from the scalp.

Wind the section
of hair around the thicker
portion of the barrel toward
the cool tip.
3
Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool
tip for 5 to 10 seconds depending on hair type,
and then release. No clamp allows you to
instantly and easily curl hair. For tighter,
bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose,
free-flowing curls, roll more hair. To set the
curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

Repeat process on additional sections of
hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling wand. After using it several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR CURLS
Tight Curls – Wrap small sections of hair tightly
and hold for a few seconds.
Loose Curls – Wrap wider sections of hair.

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe el
aparato. Encienda (“ON”) el aparato; La luz de
encendido se encenderá. Permita que la unidad
se caliente por 30 segundos.
ADVERTENCIA: el tubo se pone muy caliente
en segundos; evite el contacto con la piel
después de encender el aparato.
Este aparato ofrece 30 opciones de
temperatura, para todo tipo de cabello, y
calienta muy rápidamente. Si su cabello es fino,
le recomendamos que utilice un nivel de
temperatura bajo. Si su cabello es espeso,
grueso, ondulado o resistente, le recomendamos
que utilice un nivel de temperatura alto.
¡Personalice la temperatura, según su tipo de
cabello!
Para activar la función Turbo Heat
®
, oprima el
botón turbo; el indicador luminoso verde se
encenderá y la temperatura de las placas
aumentará de 20°C (36°F). Para apagar el
aparato, oprima el botón de encendido/apagado
ON/OFF; el indicador luminoso rojo se apagará.
Nunca descuide ni abandone el aparato después
de encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el aparato se
apagará automáticamente después de 60
minutos.
CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
Para conseguir resultados óptimos, aplique una
loción fijadora ligera sobre el cabello antes de
peinarlo.

Divida el cabello en secciones de ½–1
pulgada (1.5–2.5 cm).

Empezando a 2
pulgadas (5 cm) del cuero
cabelludo, enrolle el cabello
alrededor del tubo hacia la
extremidad.

Sostenga el cabello por
las puntas durante 5–8
segundos (según el tipo de cabello), y luego
desenrolle delicadamente el cabello. Siempre
obtendrá hermosos resultados, fácil y
rápidamente. Para obtener rizos apretados y
elásticos, divida el cabello en secciones más
finas. Para obtener rizos sueltos y naturales,
enrolle secciones más gruesas. Permita que el
cabello se enfríe antes de peinarlo para “fijar”
los rizos.

Repita el proceso con cada sección de
cabello.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil y
rápidamente.

MAINTENANCE
Your styling tool is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings
clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes
necessary, disconnect the appliance from the
power source, allow to cool, and wipe exterior with
a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug it,
allow it to cool and return it for repair to an
authorized service center only. No repairs should
be attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled
or twisted. Never wrap the cord around the
appliance. Damage will occur at the high flex
point of entry into the appliance causing it to
rupture and short. Inspect the cord frequently for
damage. Stop use immediately if damage is
visible or if unit stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your styling tool is easy to store.
Allow it to cool, and store out of reach of children
in safe, dry location. Do not jerk or strain cord at
plug connections.
Do not wrap cord tightly around appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.
LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option)
your unit free of charge for 24 months from
the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed below, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.50 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide proof
of purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR
for shipping instructions. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be
24 months from the date of manufacture.
