This manual contains Safety Instructions as well as Installation and Operating Instructions. Please carefully read
this manual before using your Rice Cooker for instructions on how to use and maintain the product properly. Be
sure to follow the safety instructions to avoid injury or damage to the product.
Keep this manual. When passing on/selling the device to a third party, the manual must be handed over along
with the device.
Before calling for service, please make sure unit is installed and being used correctly.
WARNING: When using your appliance, follow the precautions listed below:
NOTE: Specifications may change at any time without notice.
1. Read all instructions.
2. This appliance is for household use only. It is not intended for commercial applications.
3. The appliance is intended for indoor use only. DO NOT use outdoors.
4. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
5. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
If the plug does not fit properly into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit, try a different outlet or
contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to modify the plug in any way.
6. The appliance must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded outlet that meets the voltage
requirements listed on the ratings label.
7. DO NOT immerse the rice cooker or power cord into water or any other liquids.
8. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug; or if the unit is damaged or malfunctions in any way. Contact
customer service or a service technician.
9. ALWAYS turn off and unplug from outlet before servicing, changing accessories, cleaning the unit, or when
not in use. Allow unit to cool down completely before cleaning, moving or servicing.
10. DO NOT unplug your appliance by pulling on the power cord. ALWAYS grasp the plug firmly and pull it
straight out from the outlet.
11. DO NOT allow children to operate or play with the appliance.
12. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
13. This appliance should not be operated by anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
does not have experience with this type of equipment, unless under supervision.
14. DO NOT attempt to remove any parts of the housing or insert any metal objects into the interior of the
appliance.
15. DO NOT let the cord hang over edge of table or counter. ALWAYS keep cord away from hot or sharp
surfaces or items.
16. DO NOT operate the unit or handle the plug with wet hands.
17. Use only clean water in the rice cooker.
18. Some parts of the appliance get very hot when in operation. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use caution when
unit is in use, and ALWAYS grasp by the handle.
CAUTION: There is the risk of being scalded by hot water or escaping steam.
19. This appliance is designed for heating water only. DO NOT use with any other liquids.

20. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
21. The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injuries.
22. DO NOT operate the rice cooker if there is any food or water on the heating plate.
23. Only use the inner pot provided with the rice cooker.
a. DO NOT operate the rice cooker without the inner pot, or if it is empty or damaged.
b. DO NOT use the inner pot to cook on a hot stove or in an oven. It is only for use in the rice cooker.
c. DO NOT touch or move the inner pot while the rice cooker is in operation.
24. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risks resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised
in their use and:
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance.
b. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it
can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USE
Before using your rice cooker, be sure to clean the inner pot and accessories with warm soapy water and rinse
thoroughly. Wipe the rice cooker with a soft cloth, and make sure to read all instructions. A burning smell is
normal the first time the cooker is used due to particles on the heater.
CONTROL PANEL
• Rice: Press to cook rice. Indicator will light and the rice cooker
will begin cooking after 5 seconds.
• Time Cook: Press to cook other foods. Indicator will light and
unit will begin cooking after 5 seconds. Time can be adjusted
from 12 ~ 30 minutes in 0.1 hr (6 minute) increments and display
will show remaining cook time in minutes.
• Delay Time: Press to set delay cook time. Indicator will light
when delay is set. Delay can be set between 12 minutes (0.2) ~
12 hours. Each push of the delay button increases the time 0.2
hours (12 minutes) from 0.2 ~ 1.0 hours, and 1 hour between 1
~ 12 hours. While counting down, the display will count hours
from 12 ~ 10, then in 0.2 hour increments.
• Warm/Cancel: When Rice or Cook function is set, press
to Cancel. When no cooking function is set, press to keep
contents of rice cooker warm for a maximum of 12 hours. Indicator will light.
• Display: On Rice cooking function – outer edges flash while cooking. On Cook function, counts down the
cooking time in 0.1 hour (6 minute) increments. On Warming – Displays the amount of time the rice cooker
has been warming in 0.1 (6 minute) increments.
RICE FUNCTION
Measure out the amount of rice to be cooked using the included measuring cup. One scoop is 80g, about ½ a
cup, of uncooked rice, which will yield 1 cup of cooked rice. It is recommended to wash the rice to be cooked
first, which can reduce the amount of water splatter while cooking. Put uncooked rice in the inner pot of the rice
cooker, and add water. For each scoop of rice used, fill the inner pot to the bottom of the corresponding mark
on the side of the pot. For 1 scoop of rice, fill to the bottom of the 1 mark, for 2 scoops, fill to the bottom of the
2 mark, etc. Depending on the type of rice being cooked and personal preference you can adjust the amount of
water added as desired.
Once the rice and water are added, place the lid on the rice cooker and push the rice button. The indicated
light will come on, and the unit will start to cook in 5 seconds. The cook time for the rice will vary based on
the amount and type of rice used, and how much water is added, but will generally go for about 35-45 minutes.
During the rice cooking cycle, the display will flash lines around the outside of the numbers. When the rice is
cooked, the Warming function will begin, and the display will show the amount of time it has been warming in 6
minute (0.1 hour) increments.

TIME COOK FUNCTION
Use the Time Cook Function to heat and cook a variety of different foods. The timer can be set from 12-30
minutes in 0.1 hr. (6 minute) increments, and the rice cooker will go into Warming mode when the cook cycle is
completed. While running on Time Cook, the display will count down the remaining time in minutes.
Time Cook can also be used for steaming foods. Place one scoop of water from the included measuring cup into
the inner pot and the food to be steamed into the food steamer and place the lid on it. Place the steamer on the
inner pot, put on the lid and lock it onto the unit, and set the Time Cook to 12 minutes (0.2). When the Time Cook
is completed, the food can be removed from the steamer with a spoon or fork, or the steamer can be removed
using oven mitts or tongs.
CAUTION: The inner pot and steamer will be hot, and there will be hot water in the inner pot.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the inner pot and the inside of the lid with hot water and a mild detergent. Wipe with a sponge or cloth,
and dry before storage. Wipe off the rice cooker, control panel and lid with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do
not use abrasive materials or corrosive chemicals to clean the rice cooker. Make sure the heating plate inside the
rice cooker is clean and dry. When not in use, unplug the rice cooker and wrap the cord in the storage area on the
bottom.

LIMITED WARRANTY
MC Appliance Corporation warrants each new Rice Cooker to be free from defects in material and workmanship, and agrees to
remedy any such defect or to furnish a new part(s), at the company’s option, for any part(s) of the unit that has failed during the
warranty period. Parts and labor expenses are covered on this unit for a period of one year from the date of purchase. A copy of
the dated sales receipt/invoice is required to receive warranty service, replacement or refund.
This warranty covers appliances in use within the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. This warranty does not
cover the following:
• Damages due to shipping damage or improper installation.
• Damages due to misuse or abuse.
• Content losses due to failure of the unit.
• Repairs performed by unauthorized service agents.
• Service calls that do not involve defects in material and workmanship such as instructions on proper use of the
product or improper installation.
• Replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.
• Failure of this product if used for other purposes than its intended purpose.
• Disposal costs for any failed unit not returned to our factory.
• Any delivery/installation costs incurred as the result of a unit that fails to perform as specified.
• Expenses for travel and transportation for product service if your appliance is located in a remote area where
service by an authorized service technician is not available.
• The removal and reinstallation of your appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in
accordance with published installation instructions.
• Refunds for non repairable products are limited to the price paid for the unit per the sales receipt.
• This warranty is non transferable. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not extend to any
subsequent owner(s).
Limitations of Remedies and Exclusions:
Product repair in accordance with the terms herein, is your sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty. Any and all
implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby limited to one year or the shortest
period allowed by law. MC Appliance Corporation is not liable for incidental or consequential damages and no representative or
person is authorized to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of this product. Under no circumstances is
the consumer permitted to return this unit to the factory without the prior written consent of MC Appliance Corporation.
Some states prohibit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on implied warranties.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
ANTES DE SU USO
Antes de usar su arrocera, asegúrese de limpiar la cacerola interna y los accesorios con agua tibia con jabón,
así como de enjuagarla por completo. Seque la arrocera con un paño suave y asegúrese de leer todas las
instrucciones. Es normal que sienta un olor a quemado la primera vez que se usa la arrocera a raíz de unas
partículas presentes en el calentador.
PANEL DE CONTROL
• “Rice” (Arroz): oprima para cocinar arroz. Se encenderá el
indicador y la arrocera comenzará a cocinar transcurridos 5
segundos.
• “Time Cook” (Temporizador de cocción): oprima para cocinar
otras comidas. Se encenderá el indicador y la cocción
comenzará transcurridos 5 segundos. El tiempo puede ajustarse
de 12 a 30 minutos con incrementos de 0.1 hora (6 minutos) y la
pantalla mostrará el tiempo de cocción restante en minutos.
• “Delay Time” (Retraso de temporizador): oprima para
configurar el tiempo de retraso de la cocción. El indicador se
encenderá cuando se programe el retraso. Puede configurarse
un retraso de entre 12 minutos (0.2 horas) y 12 horas. Cada
vez que oprime el botón de retraso, el tiempo aumenta en
0.2 horas (12 minutos) de 0.2 horas a 1.0 horas y de 1 hora entre 1 y 12 horas. Durante la cuenta regresiva, la
pantalla mostrará el conteo de 12 a 10, luego en incrementos de 0.2 horas.
• “Warm” (Calentar)/“Cancel” (Cancelar): cuando esté configurada la función de cocinar arroz o cocinar,
oprima para cancelar. Cuando no esté configurada ninguna función, oprima para mantener tibio el
contenido de la arrocera por un máximo de 12 horas. Se encenderá el indicador.
• “Display” (Pantalla): en la función de cocinar arroz, los bordes externos se encienden intermitentemente
durante la cocción. En la función de cocinar, hace el conteo regresivo del tiempo de cocción en incrementos
de 0.1 horas (6 minutos). En la función de calentar, muestra cuánto ha durado la arrocera calentando en
incrementos de 0.1 (6 minutos).
FUNCIÓN DE COCINAR ARROZ
Mida la cantidad de arroz que cocinará con ayuda de la taza de medición que viene incluida. Una pala equivale a
80 g de arroz crudo, cerca de ½ taza, lo que rinde una taza de arroz cocido. Se recomienda lavar primero el arroz
para cocinarlo, puesto que esto reduce la cantidad de agua que salpica durante la cocción. Ponga arroz crudo en
la cacerola interna de la arrocera y agregue agua. Por cada pala de arroz que use, llene la cacerola interna hasta el
fondo de la marca correspondiente en el lado de la cacerola. Para 1 pala de arroz, llene hasta el fondo de 1 marca;
para 2 palas llene hasta el fondo de 2 marcas, etc. Según el tipo de arroz que prepare y sus gustos personales,

Una vez que se agreguen el arroz y el agua, ponga la tapa sobre la arrocera y oprima el botón para “Rice”. Se
encenderá la luz indicadora y la unidad comenzará a cocinar transcurridos 5 segundos. El tiempo de cocción

del arroz variará según la cantidad y el tipo de arroz utilizados y cuánta agua se agregue, pero, por lo general, se
tardará entre 35 y 45 minutos. Durante el ciclo de cocción del arroz, la pantalla se iluminará intermitentemente
con líneas por fuera de los números. Cuando el arroz esté listo, se activará la función de calentar y la pantalla
mostrará el tiempo que ha estado calentando en incrementos de 6 minutos (0.1 hora).
FUNCIÓN DE TEMPORIZADOR
Use la función de temporizador para calentar y cocinar diversas comidas. El temporizador puede programarse de
12 a 30 minutos en incrementos de 0.1 hora. (6 minutos) y la arrocera activará el modo de calentar cuando finalice
el ciclo de cocción. Cuando utilice el temporizador, la pantalla hará el conteo regresivo del tiempo restante en
minutos.
El temporizador también puede utilizarse para cocinar alimentos al vapor. Coloque una medida de agua de la taza
de medición que viene incluida en la cacerola interna y la comida que se cocinará al vapor en la vaporera y ponga
la tapa encima. Coloque la vaporera en la cacerola interna, coloque la tapa, asegúrela sobre la unidad y programe
el temporizador a 12 minutos (0.2). Cuando haya finalizado el temporizador, puede retirarse la comida de la
vaporera con una cuchara o tenedor o puede retirarse la vaporera con el uso de guantes o pinzas.
PRECAUCIÓN: la cacerola interna y la vaporera estarán calientes y habrá agua caliente en la cacerola interna.
CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Limpie la cacerola interna y la parte interna de la tapa con agua caliente y un detergente suave. Pase una esponja
o un trapo y seque antes de guardar. Limpie la arrocera, el panel de control y la tapa con un paño húmedo y seque
por completo. No utilice materiales abrasivos ni sustancias corrosivas para limpiar la arrocera. Asegúrese de que la
bandeja de calentamiento dentro de la arrocera esté limpia y seca. Cuando no utilice la arrocera, desconéctela y
enrolle el cable en el área de almacenamiento que se encuentra por debajo.

MC Appliance Corporation garantiza que cada Cafetera nueva carece de defectos en los materiales y en la mano de obra, y
conviene en remediar cualquier defecto o proporcionar la(s) pieza(s) nueva(s), por cualquier/cualesquiera pieza(s) de la unidad
que haya(n) fallado durante el período de garantía, a discreción de la compañía. Las piezas y los gastos de mano de obra de esta
unidad están cubiertos por un período de un año a partir de la fecha de compra. Es necesario presentar una copia del recibo o
de la factura de venta fechado, para recibir el servicio de garantía, reemplazo o reembolso.
Esta garantía cubre los aparatos en uso dentro de los Estados Unidos contiguos, Alaska, Hawái y Puerto Rico. Esta garantía no
cubre lo siguiente:
• Los daños causados durante el envío o por instalación incorrecta.
• Los daños causados por uso incorrecto o abuso.
• La pérdida de contenido a causa de fallas de la unidad.
• Las reparaciones llevadas a cabo por agentes de servicio no autorizados.
