12X thicker than ordinary sealers. Forming a thick coating on
the surface of the wood, the RESTORE 12X TRANSPARENT
STAIN AND SEALANT lasts longer than traditional sealers
that penetrate into the wood. A hint of color enhances the
natural beauty of the wood, while also allowing most of the
grain to show through. Superior UV inhibitors protect the wood
from graying, while superior water repellency, as well as an

PREPARATION
REGARDLESS OF AGE OR CONDITION, FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS PREPARATION METHOD WILL RESULT IN POOR ADHESION
AND POSSIBLE COATING FAILURE. NEW WOOD DECKS NEED TO WEATHER AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE APPLICATION.
PREPARATION WITH DECK STRIPPER
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING.
STEP 1 – REMOVE EXISTING STAIN/SEALER: Previously applied coatings need to be removed completely. Strip the surface using
a deck brush and deck stripper. Then, sand the surface using 50 or 60 grit sand paper.
STEP 2 – CLEAN: Clean the surface using a deck brush and RESTORE DECK & CONCRETE CLEANER. The surface must be clean
and free of dirt, grease, mildew and organic growth.
STEP 3 – TEST SURFACE FOR APPLICATION: Conduct a splash test by sprinkling water on at least four or more areas,
both high traffic and non-traffic areas. If the water absorbs rapidly into the wood, the surface is ready to coat.
If the water beads, puddles or is not absorbed, the surface is not ready to coat and requires more preparation.
Follow STEPS 1 and 2 until the water absorbs.
STEP 4 – LIGHT REPAIRS: Secure raised nail heads, decks screws or loose deck boards. Remove loose splinters and replace
severely damaged or rotting boards. Fill cracks with RESTORE CRACK FILLER or similar acrylic, non-silicone filler. Allow to dry.
PREPARATION FOR RESTORE 2X AND
RESTORE OUTDOOR FURNITURE
Proper preparation is important for top coat adhesion. Use the ground breaking clear
RESTORE DECK START WOOD PRIMER before applying RESTORE 2X ONE COAT SOLID STAIN
with Cool Touch Technology and RESTORE OUTDOOR FURNITURE instead of stripping and sanding.
Simply clean the surface and apply one coat of primer.

LEE TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE COMENZAR
PASO 1 – QUITA LOS TINTES/SELLADORES EXISTENTES: Los revestimientos aplicados con anterioridad deben ser eliminados
completamente. Raspa la superficie con un cepillo para terrazas y un rellenador de grietas. Después, lija la superficie
con un papel de lija de grano 50 o 60.
PASO 2 – LIMPIEZA: Limpia la superficie usando un cepillo para terrazas y un raspador para terrazas. La superficie debe estar
limpia y libre de suciedad, grasa, moho y crecimiento orgánico.
PASO 3 – COMPRUEBA LA SUPERFICIE PARA LA APLICACIÓN: Realiza una prueba de salpicadura rociando agua en al menos
cuatro áreas o más, tanto en áreas de mucho tráfico como en áreas de ninguno. Si la madera absorbe el agua rápidamente,
la superficie está lista para el revestimiento. Si el agua no es absorbida, o se mantiene en gotas o charcos, la superficie no
está lista para el revestimiento y necesita más preparación. Repite los PASOS 1 y 2 hasta que la madera absorba el agua.
PASO 4 – REPARACIONES LIGERAS: Asegura las cabezas de clavos levantadas, los tornillos para terraza o las tablas de terraza sueltas.
Quita las astilladuras sueltas y reemplaza las tablas gravemente dañadas o podridas. Rellena las grietas con
RESTORE CRACK FILLER o un relleno similar de acrílico que no contenga silicona. Deja secar.
