Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the TunePower for iPod video from Belkin.

Now you can power your iPod video even when the internal battery is drained, and keep

the music playing anytime, anywhere. Please be sure to read all the instructions in this

User Manual so that you can get the most from your Belkin product.

Once the Belkin TunePower is connected to the iPod video, the iPod video will run off

the battery pack instead of the internal iPod video’s battery (as long as there is enough

power in the battery pack).

The TunePower will provide up to 10 hours of additional music playtime*; six hours of

additional video playtime.

*Performance may vary based on Apple® iPod video firmware version in use.

To check the remaining battery power level, press the button on the top end of the

TunePower and let go. The button will light up to indicate the battery status:

Green

The battery is fully charged.

Amber

The battery is partially charged. The transition from green to

red is gradual indicating the charge status of the battery.

Red

Less than 20 minutes remain.

For additional power and charging, connect the DC plug end of

the included AC wall charger into the DC jack on the top of the

TunePower. Connect the AC wall charger into any US wall outlet.

The LED charge indicator will illuminate when the Belkin

TunePower is charging. This indicator will turn off when the

battery has been charged to approximately 90%. To maximize

charge, leave the battery pack connected for 10 minutes after

the indicator turns off. Disconnecting the Belkin TunePower

before this time, or leaving it connected for longer periods, will

not damage the TunePower.

While the iPod video is connected to the TunePower, both the

iPod video and the TunePower can be charged simultaneously.

After the TunePower is completely charged, the charging cycle

will continue to charge the iPod video.

Approximate charging times are as follows:

TunePower (whether connected to iPod video or not): 2 hours

Full-charge time: 4 hours

If the LED charge indicator ﬂashes at any time during charging, a FAULT has occurred.

Simply disconnect the Belkin TunePower from the supplied cable for approximately

30 seconds, and reconnect the cable. Charging should begin automatically.

Notes:

The Belkin TunePower will supply power to the iPod video whenever it is connected.

When not in use, it is helpful to disconnect the Belkin TunePower from the iPod video

(recommended), or make sure that the iPod video is in the OFF and LOCKED position to

conserve power.

The iPod video can be charged at the same time as the Belkin TunePower. Doing so should

not increase the length of time that it takes to charge the iPod video.

The Belkin TunePower charging cable must limit its power consumption at times.

In some instances, the iPod video will have a higher charge current. At those times,

the charger will limit the amount of current going into the TunePower batteries, while

delivering full charge power to the iPod video. This increases the total charge time of

the TunePower to up to ﬁve hours.

Helpful Hints

As with all rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the TunePower will slowly discharge over

time, even when not connected to the iPod video. High temperatures will increase the rate

that the Belkin TunePower will self-discharge.

When storing the Belkin TunePower for more than one month, Belkin recommends:

1. The TunePower should be discharged—the LED indicator should be red. If stored in

any other state (including no LED), the Belkin TunePower may lose some of its capacity,

which may or may not be recoverable in the future. The Belkin TunePower should NEVER

be stored for long periods of time when fully charged.

2. Store the TunePower in a cool dry location. The best temperature range for storage is

-20–40 degrees Celsius.

3. It is recommended that the TunePower be charged for 10–15 minutes every six months

(being stored) to decrease the risk of lost capacity.

The Belkin Battery Pack has a life cycle of 400–500 cycles. Temperature can reduce the

life cycle of this product. Belkin recommends 0–30 degrees Celsius for charging and 0–50

degrees Celsius for discharge (storage above 40 degrees Celsius can reduce life cycle).

The Belkin TunePower does not have to be completely discharged (LED red or off) before

charging. The Belkin TunePower can be charged at any charge level. This will not reduce the

life cycle of the TunePower.

What this warranty covers.

Belkin Corporation warrants to the original purchaser of this Belkin product that the product shall be

free of defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship.

What the period of coverage is.

Belkin Corporation warrants the Belkin product for three years.

What will we do to correct problems?

Product Warranty.

Belkin will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge (except for shipping

charges for the product).

What is not covered by this warranty?

All above warranties are null and void if the Belkin product is not provided to Belkin Corporation

for inspection upon Belkin’s request at the sole expense of the purchaser, or if Belkin Corporation

determines that the Belkin product has been improperly installed, altered in any way, or tampered with.

The Belkin Product Warranty does not protect against acts of God (other than lightning) such as flood,

earthquake, war, vandalism, theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence, abuse,

Belkin Corporation reserves the right to review the damaged Belkin product. All costs of shipping the

Belkin product to Belkin Corporation for inspection shall be borne solely by the purchaser. If Belkin

determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship the damaged equipment to Belkin

Corporation, Belkin may designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment repair facility to inspect and

estimate the cost to repair such equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipment to and from

such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged equipment

must remain available for inspection until the claim is finalized. Whenever claims are settled, Belkin

Corporation reserves the right to be subrogated under any existing insurance policies the purchaser

may have.

How state law relates to the warranty.

THIS WARRANTY CONTAINS THE SOLE WARRANTY OF BELKIN CORPORATION, THERE ARE NO OTHER

Pour vérifier la charge restante, appuyez sur le bouton au-dessus du TunePower et

relâchez-le. Le bouton d’allume et indique le niveau de charge de la batterie :

Pour bénéficier d’une source d’alimentation et de charge

supplémentaire, branchez la fiche CC du câble fourni dans la

prise située sur le haut du TunePower. Branchez le chargeur

secteur sur n’importe quelle prise secteur.

L’indicateur du niveau de charge s’allume lorsque le TunePower

de Belkin est en cours de chargement. Il s’éteint lorsque la

batterie est rechargée aux environs de 90 %. Pour bénéficier

d’une charge maximale, laissez la batterie branchée pendant 10

minutes après l’extinction du voyant. Débrancher le TunePower

de Belkin avant la fin de ces 10 minutes ou le laisser branché

plus longtemps n’endommagera pas votre TunePower.

Pendant que l’iPod vidéo est branché sur le TunePower, ceux-ci

peuvent être rechargés simultanément. Après le chargement

Les temps de charge approximatifs sont les suivants :

Si l’indicateur de charge clignote à un moment ou à un autre pendant la recharge, une

ERREUR est survenue. Débranchez simplement le TunePower du câble fourni, attendez

environ 30 secondes, puis rebranchez le câble. Le processus de charge devrait débuter

automatiquement.

Notes :

Le TunePower de Belkin alimente l’iPod vidéo à tout moment lorsque celui-ci est connecté.

Lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas, il est judicieux de débrancher le TunePower de l’iPod

(recommandé), ou de s’assurer que l’iPod vidéo est en position ÉTEINT et BLOQUÉ, aﬁn

d’éviter le gaspil d’énergie.

L’iPod vidéo peut être rechargé en même temps que le TunePower de Belkin. Ceci ne

devrait pas augmenter le temps de recharge de l’iPod vidéo.

Le câble de chargement TunePower Belkin doit parfois limiter sa consommation.

Dans certains cas, l’iPod vidéo recevra un courant de charge supérieur. Si c’est le cas,

le chargeur limitera la quantité de courant arrivant aux batteries du TunePower, tout

en livrant une charge complète à l’iPod vidéo. Ceci a pour effet d’augmenter le temps

de chargement à près de 5 heures.

Astuces

Comme pour toutes les batteries au lithium-ion rechargeables, le TunePower se décharge

peu à peu, même lorsqu’il n’est pas branché à l’iPod. De hautes températures peuvent

accélérer l’auto-décharge du TunePower de Belkin.

Lorsque vous rangez votre TunePower de Belkin pour une période supérieure à 1 mois,

Belkin vous recommande de :

1. Décharger le TunePower ; l’indicateur doit être rouge. Si vous le rangez alors que celui-

ci est à un niveau de charge différent (y compris sans indicateur), le TunePower peut

perdre de ses capacités et celles-ci peuvent oui ou non être récupérées ultérieurement.

Le TunePower de Belkin ne devrait jamais être rangé lorsque complètement rechargé,

pour une période prolongée.

2. Entreposez le TunePower dans un endroit frais et sec. La température de stockage idéale

est de -20 à 40 °C.

3. Il est recommandé de recharger le TunePower pendant 10 à 15 minutes, à tous les 6

mois (lorsqu’il est entreposé), aﬁn de diminuer le risque de diminution de ses capacités.

La Bloc-piles de rechange Belkin a une durée de vie de 400 à 500 cycles. Les températures

extrêmes peuvent réduire la durée de vie de produit. Belkin recommande de recharger

le produit entre 0 et 30 °C, et de le décharger entre 0 et 50 °C. L’entreposage dans un

environnement au-delà de 40 °C peut en réduire la durée de vie. Il n’est pas nécessaire

que le TunePower soit complètement déchargé (indicateur éteint ou rouge) avant de le

recharger. Il est possible de recharger le TunePower de Belkin à tout moment. Ceci n’aura

wieder loslassen. Das Lämpchen leuchtet auf und zeigt den Batteriestatus an:

Zur Versorgung mit Netzstrom und zum Laden der Akkus

stecken Sie den Gleichstromstecker des mitgelieferten

Ladegeräts in die dafür vorgesehene Buchse oben am

TunePower an. Stecken Sie das Ladegerät in eine Steckdose.

Die LED-Ladeanzeige leuchtet, während der TunePower

von Belkin geladen wird. Die LED erlischt, wenn der Akku

zu ungefähr 90% geladen ist. Wenn Sie den Akku komplett

aufladen wollen, lassen Sie ihn noch 10 Minuten angeschlossen,

nachdem die Lade-LED erloschen ist. Es schadet dem

TunePower von Belkin nicht, wenn Sie ihn länger angeschlossen

lassen oder vor der vollständigen Aufladung entfernen.

Wenn der iPod video mit dem TunePower verbunden ist,

können iPod video und TunePower gleichzeitig aufgeladen

werden. Nach vollständiger Aufladung des TunePower wird der

Akku des iPod video noch weiter geladen.

Wenn die LED-Ladeanzeige während des Ladevorgangs blinkt, liegt ein Fehler vor.

Entfernen Sie das mitgelieferte Kabel vom TunePower von Belkin und schließen Sie es nach

ca. 30 Sekunden wieder an. Der Ladevorgang sollte automatisch beginnen.

Notizen:

Der TunePower von Belkin versorgt den iPod video immer mit Strom, wenn er angeschlossen

ist. Wenn er nicht benutzt wird, empﬁehlt es sich, den TunePower von Belkin vom iPod video

zu entfernen oder darauf zu achten, dass der iPod video ausgeschaltet ist (OFF) und sich in

der gesicherten (LOCKED) Einstellung beﬁndet, so dass Energie gespart wird.

Sie können den iPod video und den TunePower von Belkin gleichzeitig laden. Dadurch wird

die Dauer des Ladevorgangs für den iPod video normalerweise nicht erhöht.

Das TunePower Ladekabel von Belkin muss zeitweise seine Leistungsaufnahme

reduzieren. Es kann vorkommen, dass der iPod video eine höhere Ladestromstärke

hat. In solchen Fällen verringert das Ladekabel die Ladestromstärke für den

TunePower Akku, ohne die Stromstärke des iPod video zu reduzieren. Dadurch kann

die Ladedauer für den TunePower um bis zu fünf Stunden erhöht werden.

Tipps

Wie bei allen Lithium-Ionen-Akkus verringert sich die Ladung des TunePower allmählich,

auch wenn er nicht an den iPod video angeschlossen ist. Bei hohen Temperaturen wird der

TunePower von Belkin schneller entladen.

Wenn Sie den TunePower von Belkin länger als einen Monat unbenutzt lagern, empﬁehlt

Belkin Folgendes:

1. Der TunePower sollte entladen sein - Die Anzeigeleuchte sollte rot sein. Wenn er

in einem anderen Zustand aufbewahrt wird, (auch wenn die Anzeigeleuchte nicht

leuchtet), kann der TunePower von Belkin einen Teil seines Vermögens verlieren, was

sich möglicherweise nicht mehr wiederherstellen lässt. Der TunePower von Belkin darf

NIE über einen längeren Zeitraum unbenutzt aufbewahrt werden, wenn er komplett

aufgeladen ist.

2. Lagern Sie den TunePower an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort. Die beste Lagertemperatur

ist -20-40 Grad Celsius.

3. Es wird empfohlen, den TunePower alle sechs Monate zehn bis fünfzehn Minuten

aufzuladen (während der Lagerung), um Funktionsverlust zu reduzieren.

Die Lebensdauer des Akkusatzes von Belkin beträgt 400-500 Ladezyklen. Die Temperatur

kann Einﬂuss auf die Lebensdauer dieses Produktes haben. Belkin empﬁehlt 0-30 Grad

Celsius beim Laden und 0-50 Grad Celsius beim Entladen (Lagerung bei Temperaturen über

40 Grad Celsius kann die Lebensdauer verringern). Der TunePower von Belkin braucht vor

dem Auﬂaden nicht völlig entladen zu sein (Leuchtanzeige rot oder ausgeschaltet). Der

TunePower von Belkin kann bei jedem Ladeniveau geladen werden. Die Lebensdauer des

TunePower wird dadurch nicht verringert.

Una vez conectado el TunePower de Belkin al iPod vídeo, este utilizará la carga del Set

para batería y no de la batería interna del iPod (siempre que haya suficiente carga en el

Set para batería).

El TunePower proporciona hasta 10 horas adicionales de reproducción de música*, y seis

horas adicionales de reproducción de vídeo.

*El rendimiento puede variar según la versión de firmware para el iPod vídeo de Apple®

Para comprobar el nivel restante de carga de la batería, pulse el botón del extremo

superior del TunePower y suéltelo. El botón se iluminará para indicar el estado de la

batería:

La batería está parcialmente cargada. La transición de verde a

rojo se produce en forma gradual indicando el estado de carga

de la batería.

Para obtener más carga y energía, conecte la clavija CC del

cargador para enchufe CA que se incluye, en el conector CC de

la parte superior del TunePower. Conecte el cargador CA en

cualquier enchufe.

El indicador de carga LED se iluminará cuando el TunePower

de Belkin esté cargando. Este indicador se apagará cuando

la batería esté cargada en un 90% aproximadamente. Para

aumentar al máximo la carga, deje conectado el set para

batería durante 10 minutos después de que el indicador se haya

apagado. Si desconecta el TunePower de Belkin antes de este

período de tiempo o lo deja conectado por un período más

largo, el TunePower no se dañará.

Mientras que el iPod vídeo esté conectado al TunePower, el iPod

vídeo y el TunePower se cargarán de forma simultánea. Después

de que el TunePower esté totalmente cargado, el ciclo de carga

continuará cargando el iPod vídeo.

A continuación, se indican los períodos aproximados de carga:

TunePower (ya esté o no conectado al iPod vídeo): 2 horas

Tiempo de carga completa: 4 horas

En caso de exista algún FALLO durante el proceso de carga, el indicador de carga LED

comenzará a parpadear. Simplemente desconecte el TunePower de Belkin del cable

suministrado durante 30 segundos aproximadamente y luego vuelva a conectar el cable. El

proceso de carga se debe iniciar de forma automática.

Notas:

El TunePower de Belkin suministrará energía al iPod vídeo siempre que esté conectado.

Cuando no está en uso, es preferible desconectar el TunePower de Belkin del iPod vídeo

(se recomienda), o bien asegurarse de que el iPod esté en la posición de APAGADO y

BLOQUEADO para conservar la carga.

El iPod vídeo y el TunePower de Belkin se pueden cargar de forma simultánea. Esto no

signiﬁca que deba aumentar el tiempo que tarda el iPod vídeo en cargarse.

El cable de carga del TunePower de Belkin debe limitar su consumo de la

alimentación en ocasiones. A veces el iPod vídeo tendrá una corriente de carga más

alta. En esas ocasiones, el cargador limitará la corriente que llega a las pilas del

TunePower, mientras proporciona total alimentación para cargar el iPod vídeo. Esto

aumenta el total del tiempo de la carga del TunePower hasta cinco horas.

Consejos útiles

Al igual que con todas las baterías de ión litio recargables, el TunePower se descargará

lentamente con el transcurso del tiempo, incluso si no ha estado conectado al iPod vídeo.

El porcentaje de autodescarga del TunePower de Belkin aumentará a temperaturas altas.

Si guarda el TunePower de Belkin durante más de un mes, Belkin recomienda que:

1. Se debe descargar el TunePower, el indicador LED debe iluminarse en rojo. Si lo guarda

en otras condiciones (incluso sin LED), el TunePower de Belkin puede perder parte de su

capacidad, bien de forma permanente o puede que sea recuperable en el futuro.

El TunePower de Belkin NUNCA se debe guardar durante largos períodos de tiempo si

está totalmente cargado.

2. Guarde el TunePower en un lugar fresco y seco. Las mejores condiciones de almacenaje

se presentan a temperaturas de 20°C a 40°C.

3. Se recomienda cargar el TunePower cada seis meses durante 10 a 15 minutos (si está

guardado) para así disminuir el riesgo de que pierda su capacidad.

El Set para batería de Belkin tiene un ciclo de vida de 400 a 500 ciclos. La temperatura

puede reducir el ciclo de vida de este producto. Belkin recomienda una temperatura de 0°C

a 30°C para la carga y una temperatura de 0°C a 50°C para la descarga (se puede reducir el

ciclo de vida si lo guarda a temperaturas superiores a los 40°C). El TunePower de Belkin no

tiene que estar totalmente descargado (LED rojo o apagado) antes del proceso de carga.

El TunePower de Belkin se puede cargar en cualquier nivel de carga. Esto no reducirá el

ciclo de vida del TunePower.

Funzionamento del TunePower

Per controllare il livello di carica rimanente, premere brevemente il pulsante sulla parte

superiore della TunePower. Il pulsante si illuminerà per indicare lo stato della batteria:

Batteria completamente carica.

Giallo

Batteria parzialmente carica. Il passaggio da verde a rosso è

graduale ed indica che la batteria si sta caricando.

Rosso

Rimangono meno di 20 minuti.

Per ulteriori alimentazione e carica, collegare la spina CC

del cavo in dotazione nella presa CC nel lato superiore del

TunePower. Collegare il caricabatterie per presa a muro CA in

una presa a muro (USA).

Il LED di carica si illumina quando il TunePower si sta caricando.

La spia si spegne quando la batteria ha raggiunto circa il

90% della carica. Lasciare la batteria sotto carica per ulteriori

10 minuti dopo lo spegnimento dell’indicatore, in modo da

terminare la carica. Il TunePower non subirà alcun danno se la

si dovesse disconnettere prima del tempo, o se la si dovesse

lasciare collegata più a lungo.

Quando l’iPod video e il TunePower sono collegati tra loro,

entrambi possono essere ricaricati contemporaneamente.

Quando il TunePower è completamente carico, il ciclo di ricarica

continuerà a caricare l’iPod.

I tempi di ricarica indicativi sono i seguenti:

TunePower (che sia collegata o meno all’iPod video): 2 ore

Tempo totale di ricarica: 4 ore

Se il l’indicatore LED della ricarica dovesse lampeggiare, in qualsiasi momento, ciò vuol dire

che si è veriﬁcato un guasto. Scollegare il cavo in dotazione dal TunePower Belkin per circa

30 secondi e ricollegarlo. Questo inizierà a caricare automaticamente.

Avvertenze:

Il TunePower alimenta l’iPod video ogni volta che sono collegati. Quando non viene

utilizzato, si consiglia di staccare il TunePower dall’iPod video (consigliato) o di accertarsi

che l’interruttore dell’iPod sia in posizione OFF e LOCKED per conservare l’alimentazione.

L’iPod video può essere alimentato insieme al TunePower. Ciò non aumenta il tempo che si

impiega per caricare l’iPod video.

Il cavo di ricarica del TunePower deve, a volte, limitare il proprio consumo di

corrente. In alcuni casi, l’iPod video ha una corrente di ricarica più alta. In questi casi,

il caricabatteria limita la quantità di corrente inviata alle batterie del TunePower,

mentre invia la massima corrente di ricarica all’iPod video. Ciò aumenta il tempo di

ricarica totale del TunePower ﬁno a 5 ore.

Consigli utili:

Come tutte le batterie ricaricabili agli ioni di litio, con il tempo il TunePower si scaricherà

leggermente, anche quando non è collegato all’iPod. Le alte temperature contribuiscono a

far scaricare maggiormente il TunePower.

Quando il TunePower Belkin viene conservata per più di un mese, Belkin consiglia di:

1. Scaricare il TunePower: l’indicatore LED dovrebbe essere rosso. Se viene conservato in

qualsiasi altro stato (compreso no LED) il TunePower potrebbe perdere alcune delle

sue capacità, che potrebbero non essere recuperate nel futuro. Quando il TunePower è

completamente carico, non deve MAI essere conservato per molto tempo.

2. Conservare il TunePower in un luogo fresco e asciutto. La migliore temperatura di

conservazione è di 20-40° C.

3. Si consiglia di caricare il TunePower per 10-15 minuti ogni sei mesi (quando viene

conservato senza essere usato) per evitare perdite di capacità.

La batteria di riserva ha una durata di 400-500 cicli. Tuttavia, questa può essere ridotta dalla

temperatura. Belkin consiglia di caricarla a una temperatura compresa tra 0 e 30°C e di

farla scaricare a una temperatura compresa tra 0 e 50°C (la conservazione a temperature

superiori ai 40°C può ridurre il ciclo di vita della batteria). Il TunePower non deve essere

completamente scarico (LED rosso o spento) prima di essere ricaricato. Il TunePower può

essere caricato a qualsiasi livello di carica. Ciò non riduce la quantità di cicli del TunePower.

caso ci fossero delle spese di spedizione per inviare e ricevere l’apparecchio dopo l’ispezione, queste
