Your product
The V-Drive is designed to assist wheelchair attendants in strenuous situations, such as riding a
wheelchair up slopes or hills. It provides extra power to aid pushing. The V-Drive is compatible with
a variety of wheelchairs and several seat widths thanks to the two available versions: a standard
version (max. 135kg user weight) and a Heavy Duty version (max. 200kg user weight).
1.1
Compatibility
The V-Drive is compatible with wheelchairs that comply to the following criteria:
• with a distance between the outer tubing edges of 37cm – 50cm. This is usually, but not
always, the same as the wheelchair seat width;
• with a round tubing diameter between 22mm – 25mm.
Before using your V-Drive, check the technical details and limits of intended use. See
chapter 6.

• Do NOT install, maintain or use this product unless you have read and fully understood all
instructions in this manual and all relevant manuals regarding the wheelchair equipped with
this product.
• Do not try to open or disassemble the V-Drive or operating console in any case - there are no
user-serviceable parts inside.
• In case of doubts or questions, do not hesitate to contact your local specialist dealer, your
care provider, or your technical adviser to help you with this.
2.1 Intended use
In this paragraph a brief description of the intended use of your V-Drive is given. Additionally,
relevant warnings are added to the instructions in the other paragraphs. In this way we would like
to make you aware of the possible misuse that may appear.
• V-Drive is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
• V-Drive is designed and produced solely to aid in the transport of one (1) person with a
maximum weight of 135kg (Standard version) or 200kg (Heavy Duty version).
• V-Drive is solely meant to be operated by an attendant, not by the user himself.
• Please read all technical details and limits of your V-Drive in chapter 6.
• The warranty on this product is based on normal use and maintenance as described in this
manual. Damage to your product caused by improper use or lack of maintenance will cause
the warranty to lapse.
2.2 General safety instructions
Keep the following general warnings in mind during use:
• V-Drive should not become exposed to heavy snow or rainfall, damp conditions, or direct
sunlight.
• When connecting / disconnecting the battery from the motor or the charger, make sure that
both the power to the charger and V- Drive operating console are switched off.
• Your V-Drive has been tested for electromagnetic compatibility on typical, representative
vehicles and complies with the appropriate EMC standards (EN 12184: 2014, ISO7176-21:
209). Nevertheless, sources of electromagnetic fields may influence the driving performance
of V-Drive, such as the fields of mobile phones, power generators or high-power energy
sources. On the other hand, the electronics in your V-Drive can affect other electronic
appliances too, such as alarm systems of shops and automatic doors. We therefore advise
you to check your wheelchair and V-Drive regularly for damage and wear, since these may
enlarge the interference.
• Ensure that the V-Drive is installed as far to the rear of the wheelchair as is comfortable for
the attendant.
WARNING
For wheelchairs fitted with attendant cable brakes:
Attendant brake levers should be removed prior to fitting the V-Drive operating console. If,
because of this, the wheelchair is left without parking brakes, then separate parking brakes should
be fitted to the wheelchair.

• First read previous chapters and inform yourself about the intended use. Do NOT use your
wheelchair with V-Drive unless you have read and fully understood all instructions.
• Make sure that the anti-tipping on your wheelchair has been lowered.
• In case of doubts or questions, do not hesitate to contact your local specialist dealer, your
care provider or technical adviser to help you with this.
3.1 Assembling V-Drive on your wheelchair
3.1.1
Installing the operating console
1. Push the operating console (1) forwards to remove it from
the clamp (2).
2. Loosen both screws (3) of the clamp and position it around
the tube of your wheelchair handle. Use the circular rubber
(4) if the wheelchair tube is too thin.
3. Tighten the clamp around the wheelchair handle by
tightening both screws.
4. Slide the console (1) back on the clamp.
3.1.2
Installing the support brackets
1. Install both brackets on the bottom horizontal tubing of
the wheelchair, just behind the cross attachments (5),
by firmly tightening the screws.
2. Attach the strap (6) between the brackets.
3. Ensure that the screws (7) are sufficiently tight and do
not rotate on the tubing.
3.1.3
Installing the V-Drive module
1. Slide the telescopic bar (8) through the front end of the V-Drive module. Loosen the star knob
(9) on the bar and adjust to the correct length.
2. Tighten the knobs on the bar (9) and at the front of the V-Drive module (10).
3. Place the two ends of the bar on the rear of the brackets, then push the V-Drive module
forward until it locks into position.
4. Connect the cable from the V-Drive module to the one the underneath the handset (11).
5. Place the top loop of the lifting strap around the opposite push handle to the handset (12).

Installing the battery pack
1. Place the battery pack into the battery tray as shown in the
photo.
2. Secure the battery pack by pushing it all the way in. An audible
click will be heard.
3.2 Disassembling V-Drive for transportation
1.
Switch off the V-Drive.
2.
Disconnect the V-Drive module from the operating console
(§3.1.3, 11).
3.
Remove the lifting strap from the push handle (§3.1.3, 12).
4.
Remove the battery pack from the tray by pulling the handle of
the battery pack and simultaneously pressing the PUSH button
at the bottom of the battery pack (13).
5.
Pull up the strap (§3.1.2, 6) to unlock the telescopic bar (§3.1.3,
8). Hold V-Drive and push the wheelchair forward a bit so the
telescopic bar comes out of the brackets. Remove the V-Drive
module from the wheelchair.
6.
Place all items in the supplied carry holdall to prevent them from getting damaged.
7.
If necessary/desired, you can now fold the wheelchair for transportation.
3.3
Handling V-Drive when not in use
When you want to push the wheelchair manually and do not wish to use
V-Drive, restrain the V-Drive module off the ground by lifting the red loop
on the lifting strap and placing it on the push handle.
The battery supplied with the V-Drive is classified as safe for air travel in compliance with
IATA special provision A67.

3.4 Operating console functions
Risk of injuries
• Always start driving at LOWEST speed.
A. ON/OFF button
Shortly press this button to switch V-Drive ON/OFF. The button will
light up green when V-Drive is switched on.
B. Battery charge indicator
The indicator provides an estimate of the remaining battery
capacity. When the indicator is blinking, recharge the battery as
soon as possible to prevent shut-down.
C. Rearward moving button
Press this button to move backward. The light will indicate that
rearward movement has been activated.
D. Forward moving button
Press this button to move forward. The light will indicate that
forward movement has been activated.
E. Speed switch
Determine the maximum speed of your V-Drive. Turn
the dial clockwise to increase the maximum speed, or
counter clockwise to reduce the maximum speed.
F. Throttle lever
Squeeze the lever to propel the V- Drive. The more the
trigger is squeezed, the faster V-Drive will travel.
Release the trigger to stop V-Drive.
G. Outer knob
Use this knob to alter the angle of the operating
console.
3.5
Battery status and charging
Risk of injuries and/or damage due to fire
• Only use the battery charger delivered with the V-Drive. The use of any other charger may be
dangerous.
• The battery charger is only intended to charge the batteries delivered with the V-Drive, not to
charge any other batteries.
• Do not adapt any of the delivered parts, such as cables, plugs or battery charger. Never open
or change the battery or the connection points.
• Protect the battery and battery charger against flames, high and low temperatures (see
chapter 6), moisture, sunshine, severe shocks (for example dropping). Do NOT use the
battery if this has been the case.
• Charge the battery with the battery charger, indoors, in a well-ventilated area, out of children’s
reach.
CAUTION
WARNING
When switching on V-Drive, there will be a 2-second delay before the wheelchair starts
moving.

Risk of damage
• Battery self-discharge and the quiescent current of the connected users will drain the battery
charge slowly. The battery may be irreversibly damaged if the battery is fully discharged.
Therefore, make sure that the battery is charged on time:
o With intensive use (long distances, daily use): Immediately recharge after use. Do not
interrupt the charging cycle.
o With average use (short distances, daily or a few times a week): Charge when battery
indicator shows 50% discharge. Do not interrupt the charging cycle.
o With little use or storage: Charge once a week. Do not interrupt the charging cycle.
• Read the storage conditions and maintenance instructions in chapters 4 and 6.
• Only disconnect the battery charger when the battery is fully charged.
• Do not charge batteries below -10°C. Move the battery to a warmer place and start charging.
• Keep the connection point for the battery charger free of dust and other contamination.
• In case of any problems whereby the battery cannot be charged according to following
instructions, please contact your specialist dealer.
• If you do not use your V-Drive for a long time, it should still be charged at least every week to
keep the battery in a fully usable condition and to prevent damage to the battery.
To charge the battery:
1.
Switch OFF the V-Drive.
2.
Lift the battery pack out of the tray as described in §3.2.
3.
FIRST connect the battery charger to a 230V AC power socket. Use the battery charger
directly, without extension cord, on the power supply (without time switch).
4.
Plug the adapter into the charging point of the battery pack.
5.
The charger’s LED will illuminate orange to indicate that the batteries are charging.
6.
The orange LED turns green when charging is complete.
7.
Disconnect the battery charger.
8.
Remove the battery charger from the socket, let it cool down and store it in the charger
pocket.
9.
Switch on the V-Drive. The battery charge indicator should show that the battery is fully
charged.
It is recommended to keep charging for a couple of hours after the charger LED has turned green.
This will maintain and increase the capacity of your batteries. Using the charger supplied, the
charging duration is approximately 8 hours, but to ensure optimum performance a 12-hour charge
cycle is recommended. Do not charge the batteries for more than 24 hours.
The charger LED will also illuminate green if the charger is switched on but not connected to the
batteries.
CAUTION
When fully charged, the battery charger will still trickle charge the battery to ensure optimum
range.
Do not leave the charger plugged into the battery after disconnecting it from the mains. This
will cause a temporary power drain and reduction of drive range. It is also recommended to
unplug the battery charger from the mains when not in use.

3.6 Adjusting the V-Drive module height
The height of the V-Drive module can be adjusted
over a range of 8 cm (5 steps):
1. Remove the V-Drive module from the
wheelchair as described in §3.2 .
2. Remove the bolt-nut connection (15).
3. Slide the telescopic tube support (16)
up/down over the attachment block to the
desired height.
4. Replace and firmly tighten the bolt-nut
connection (15).
5. Reattach the V-Drive module to the
wheelchair according to §3.1.3 .

Maintenance
Regular care ensures that your V-Drive is preserved in a perfectly functional condition. For
the maintenance manual, refer to the Vermeiren website: www.vermeiren.com.
Risk of injuries and damage
Repairs and replacements may only be undertaken by trained persons and only genuine
replacement parts of Vermeiren should be used.
The last page of this manual contains a registration form for the specialist dealer to record
each service.
Before each use
Inspect the following points:
• Battery status: Charge the battery when neccessary, see § 3.5.
• All parts: present, undamaged, unworn and clean.
• General condition.
Contact your specialist dealer for possible repairs or part replacements.
Yearly or more often
Have your V-Drive inspected and serviced by your specialist dealer at least once a year, or more
often. The minimum maintenance frequency depends on the frequency of use and should
therefore be commonly agreed upon with your specialist dealer.
4.1 Cleaning
Wipe all rigid parts of the V-Drive with a damp cloth (not drenched). If necessary, use a mild soap,
suitable for varnishes and synthetics.
4.2 Reuse
Before each reuse, have the V-Drive inspected and serviced according to the instructions in this
chapter.
4.3
Expected lifespan
The V-Drive is designed to have an average lifespan of 5 years. Depending on the frequency of
use, driving circumstances and maintenance, the lifespan of your V-Drive will increase or
decrease.
4.4
End of use
At end of life, you need to dispose your V-Drive according to the local environmental legislation.
The best way to do so, is to disassemble the V-Drive to facilitate the transport of recyclable parts.
Usually, batteries are collected separately.

• NEVER attempt to repair the V-Drive or operating console yourself.
5.1
Driving anomalies
This paragraph lists a number of problems with possible solutions. If the problem persists, or if
you encounter any other problems not listed here, contact your specialist dealer.
1. The wheelchair does not move when the throttle lever is pressed.
•
Verify that V-Drive is switched on.
•
Verify that the battery is fully charged.
•
Verify that the connection between battery and motor is correct.
•
Verify that the wheelchair brakes are not applied.
•
Verify that the drive wheel is in contact with the ground.

The wheelchair is difficult to push manually.
•
Verify that the wheelchair brakes are not applied.
•
Lift the V-Drive module off the ground (§3.3).
•
Remove the V-Drive module.
3.
The V-Drive is too fast/slow.
•
Try varying the speed with the speed dial.
•
Recharge the batteries (only if too slow).
•
Verify that the wheelchair brakes are not applied.
5.2
System codes
In case of a possible problem, a system code is shown by the blinking of the leftmost LED on the
battery charge indicator.
The following table summarises the possible system codes. Some problems can be solved by
yourself. For all problems marked in grey, consult your specialist dealer.

Description
Le V-Drive est conçu pour aider les accompagnateurs de personnes en fauteuil roulant dans des
situations difficiles, comme la montée de pentes ou de côtes. Il fournit une puissance
supplémentaire pour aider à pousser. Le V-Drive est compatible avec de nombreux fauteuils
roulants et plusieurs largeurs de siège grâce aux deux versions disponibles : une version standard
(poids de l'utilisateur max. 135 kg) et une version intensif (poids de l'utilisateur max. 200 kg).
1.1 Compatibilité
Le V-Drive est compatible avec les fauteuils roulants qui répondent aux critères suivants :
• avec une distance entre les bords des tubes extérieurs de 37cm - 50cm. Il s’agit
généralement, mais pas toujours, de la même largeur que celle du siège du fauteuil
roulant ;
• avec un diamètre de tube rond entre 22 mm - 25 mm.
Avant d'utiliser votre V-Drive, vérifiez les détails techniques et les limites de l'usage prévu.

2.1
Utilisation prévue
Ce paragraphe vous donne une brève description de l'usage prévu de votre V-Drive. Des
avertissements pertinents ont également été ajoutés aux instructions dans les autres
paragraphes. Nous aimerions ainsi attirer votre attention sur un usage inapproprié éventuel qui
pourrait survenir.
• Le V-Drive convient à un usage à l'intérieur et à l’extérieur.
• Le V-Drive est conçu et fabriqué uniquement pour aider au transport d'une (1) personne d’un
poids maximum de 135 kg (version standard) ou de 200 kg (version intensif).
• Le V-Drive est uniquement destiné à être utilisé par l’accompagnateur, et non pas par
l'utilisateur lui-même.
• Consultez également les détails techniques et les limites de votre V-Drive au chapitre 6.
• La garantie sur ce produit est basée sur une utilisation et un entretien normaux, tels que
décrits dans le présent manuel. Les dommages à votre produit dus à un usage inapproprié
ou à un manque d’entretien auront pour effet d’annuler la garantie.
2.2
Consignes générales de sécurité
Tenez compte des avertissements généraux suivants pendant l’emploi :
• Le V-Drive ne doit pas être exposé à de fortes chutes de neige ou de pluie, à des conditions
humides ou à la lumière directe du soleil.
• Lorsque vous branchez/débranchez la batterie du moteur ou du chargeur, assurez-vous que
l'alimentation du chargeur et de la console de commande du V- Drive est coupée.
• Votre V-Drive a été testé sur des véhicules représentatifs et caractéristiques, et il respecte
les normes CEM appropriées (EN 12184 : 2014, ISO7176-21 : 209). Les sources de champ
magnétique, comme les téléphones mobiles, les générateurs électriques ou les sources
d'énergie à haute puissance, peuvent cependant influencer les performances de conduite du
V-Drive. L’électronique de votre V-Drive peut à son tour également affecter d’autres appareils
électroniques comme les systèmes d'alarme des magasins et les portes automatiques. Nous
vous recommandons par conséquent de vérifier si votre fauteuil roulant et votre V-Drive ne
présentent pas de dégâts ou d'usure qui pourraient encore augmenter l'interférence.
• Assurez-vous que le V-Drive est installé aussi loin à l'arrière du fauteuil roulant que possible
pour le confort de l'accompagnateur.
AVERTISSEMENT
Pour les fauteuils roulants équipés de freins à câble destinés à l’accompagnateur :
Les leviers de freins de l’accompagnateur doivent être retirés avant de monter la console
de commande du V-Drive. Si, pour cette raison, le fauteuil roulant est laissé sans freins de
stationnement, il convient alors d’installer des freins de stationnement distincts sur le
fauteuil.

Utilisation du V-Drive
Risque de blessures
• Lisez d'abord les chapitres précédents et informez-vous à propos de l'usage prévu. N’utilisez
PAS votre fauteuil roulant avec le V-Drive sans avoir d'abord lu et bien compris toutes les
instructions.
• Assurez-vous que le dispositif anti-basculement de votre fauteuil roulant a été abaissé.
• En cas de doutes ou de questions, n’hésitez pas à prendre contact avec votre revendeur
local, votre prestataire de soins ou votre conseiller technique qui pourra vous aider.
3.1
Montage du V-Drive sur votre fauteuil roulant
3.1.1 Installation de la console de commande
1. Poussez la console de commande (1) vers l'avant pour la
retirer de l’attache (2).
2. Desserrez les deux vis (3) de l’attache et placez celle-ci
autour du tube de la poignée de votre fauteuil roulant.
Utilisez le rond en caoutchouc (4) si le tube du fauteuil
roulant est trop fin.
3. Fixez l'attache autour de la poignée du fauteuil roulant en
serrant les deux vis.
4. Replacez la console (1) sur l’attache en la glissant.
3.1.2 Installation des supports de fixation
1. Installez les deux supports sur le tube horizontal
inférieur du fauteuil roulant, juste derrière les attaches
transversales (5).
2. Attachez la sangle (6) entre les supports.
3. Veillez à ce que les vis (7) soient suffisamment serrées
et ne tournent pas sur le tube.
3.1.3 Installation du module V-Drive
1. Faites glisser la barre télescopique (8) à travers l'extrémité avant du module V-Drive.
Desserrez la molette (9) sur la barre et réglez la longueur correcte.
2. Serrez les molettes sur la barre et à l'avant du module V-Drive (10).
3. Placez les deux extrémités de la barre à l'arrière des supports, puis poussez le module V-
Drive vers l'avant jusqu'à ce qu'il se verrouille en position.
4. Branchez le câble du module V-Drive en dessous de la télécommande (11).
5. Placez la boucle supérieure de la sangle de levage autour de la poignée de poussée opposée
à la télécommande (12).

3.1.4 Installation du bloc-batterie
1. Placez le bloc-batterie dans le support de batterie comme
illustré sur la photo.
2. Fixez le bloc-batterie en l'enfonçant à fond. Un clic audible se
fera entendre.
3.2
Démontage du V-Drive pour le transport
1.
Éteignez le V-Drive.
2.
Déconnectez le module V-Drive de la console de commande
(§3.1.3, 11).
3.
Retirez la sangle de levage de la poignée de poussée (§3.1.3,
12).
4.
Retirez le bloc-batterie de son support en tirant sur la poignée
de la batterie et en appuyant simultanément sur le bouton PUSH
situé au bas du bloc-batterie (13).
5.
Tirez la sangle vers le haut (§3.1.26) pour déverrouiller la barre
télescopique (§3.1.3, 8). Tenez le V-Drive et poussez un peu le
fauteuil roulant vers l'avant pour que la barre télescopique sorte des supports. Retirez le
module V-Drive du fauteuil roulant.
6.
Placez tous les éléments dans le sac de transport fourni pour éviter de les endommager.
7.
Si nécessaire/désiré, vous pouvez à présent plier le fauteuil roulant
pour le transport.
3.3 Manipulation du V-Drive lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé
Lorsque vous souhaitez pousser le fauteuil roulant manuellement et que
vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser le V-Drive, relevez le module V-Drive en
soulevant la boucle rouge de la sangle et en la plaçant sur la poignée de
poussée.
La batterie fournie avec le V-Drive est classée comme sûre pour les voyages en avion
conformément à la disposition particulière A67 de l'IATA.

Fonctions de la console de commande
Risque de blessures
• Commencez toujours à rouler à la vitesse la plus FAIBLE.
A. Bouton Marche/Arrêt
Appuyez brièvement sur ce bouton pour allumer ou éteindre le V-
Drive. Le bouton s'allume en vert lorsque V-Drive est activé.
B. Indicateur de batterie
L'indicateur fournit une estimation de la capacité de batterie
restante. Lorsque l'indicateur clignote, rechargez la batterie dès
que possible pour éviter qu'elle ne s'éteigne.
C. Bouton de marche arrière
Appuyez sur ce bouton pour reculer. La lumière indiquera que la
marche arrière a été activée.
D. Bouton de marche avant
Appuyez sur ce bouton pour avancer vers l’avant. La lumière
indiquera que la marche avant a été activée.
E. Bouton de vitesse
Déterminez la vitesse maximale de votre V-Drive.
Tournez le bouton dans le sens des aiguilles d'une
montre pour augmenter la vitesse maximale, ou dans
le sens inverse pour la réduire.
F. Levier d'accélération
Pressez sur le levier pour enclencher le V-Drive. Plus
la gâchette est pressée, plus le V-Drive se déplace
rapidement. Relâchez la gâchette pour arrêter le V-
Drive.
G. Bouton extérieur
Utilisez ce bouton pour modifier l'angle de la console de commande.
3.5 État de la batterie et recharge
Risque de blessures ou de dommages dus au feu
• Utilisez uniquement le chargeur de batterie fourni avec le V-Drive. L'utilisation de tout autre
chargeur peut être dangereuse.
• Le chargeur de batterie est uniquement destiné à la charge des batteries fournies avec le V-
Drive, et non à celle d'autres batteries.
• N’apportez aucune modification aux différentes pièces, comme les câbles, prises ou chargeur
de batterie. N'ouvrez et ne changez jamais la batterie ou les points de raccordement.
• Protégez la batterie et son chargeur des flammes, des températures élevées et basses (cf.
chapitre 6), de l'humidité, des rayons du soleil et des chocs importants (par exemple chute).
N'utilisez PAS la batterie si cela a été le cas.
• Rechargez la batterie au moyen du chargeur, à l'intérieur, dans un espace bien aéré et hors
de la portée des enfants.
ATTENTION
AVERTISSEMENT
Lors de la mise en marche du V-Drive, il y aura un délai de 2 secondes avant que le fauteuil
roulant ne commence à se déplacer.

Risque de dommages
• L'autodécharge de la batterie et le courant de repos des utilisateurs connectés videront
lentement de la batterie. La batterie peut subir des dommages irréversibles si elle est
entièrement déchargée. Assurez-vous donc de la recharger à temps :
o En cas d’utilisation intensive (longues distances, utilisation quotidienne) : Rechargez
immédiatement après utilisation. N'interrompez pas le cycle de charge.
o En cas d’utilisation moyenne (courtes distances, tous les jours ou quelques fois par
semaine) : Rechargez lorsque l'indicateur de la batterie indique une autonomie de 50
%. N'interrompez pas le cycle de charge.
o En cas d'utilisation limitée ou d’entreposage : Rechargez une fois par semaine.
N'interrompez pas le cycle de charge.
• Lisez les conditions d’entreposage et les instructions d'entretien aux chapitres 4 et 6.
• Ne débranchez le chargeur de la batterie que lorsqu'elle est complètement chargée.
• Ne rechargez pas les batteries en dessous de -10°C. Déplacez la batterie à un endroit plus
chaud et démarrez la recharge.
• Débarrassez le point de raccordement de la batterie de toute poussière et autre
contamination.
• En cas de problème empêchant la charge de la batterie conformément à ces instructions,
veuillez prendre contact avec votre revendeur spécialisé.
• Si vous n'utilisez pas votre V-Drive pendant une période prolongée, il faut quand même le
recharger au moins une fois par semaine pour maintenir la batterie dans un état pleinement
utilisable et pour éviter de l'endommager.
Pour recharger la batterie :
1.
Éteignez le V-Drive.
2.
Soulevez le bloc-batterie de son support comme décrit au §3.2.
3.
Branchez EN PREMIER LIEU le chargeur de la batterie à une prise de courant 230 V CA.
Utilisez le chargeur de la batterie directement, sans rallonge, sur l'alimentation électrique
(sans système de minuterie).
4.
Branchez l'adaptateur sur la prise de charge du bloc-batterie.
5.
Le voyant du chargeur s'allume en orange pour indiquer que les batteries sont en charge.
6.
Le voyant orange devient vert lorsque la charge est terminée.
7.
Débranchez le chargeur de batterie.
8.
Retirez le chargeur de batterie de la prise. Laissez-le refroidir et rangez-le dans sa
pochette.
9.
Allumez le V-Drive. L'indicateur de charge de la batterie doit montrer que la batterie est
complètement chargée.
Il est recommandé de continuer à charger pendant quelques heures après que le voyant du
chargeur est devenu vert. Cela permettra de maintenir et d'augmenter la capacité de vos
batteries. Avec le chargeur fourni, la durée de charge est d'environ 8 heures, mais pour assurer
une performance optimale, un cycle de charge de 12 heures est recommandé. Ne rechargez pas
les batteries pendant plus de 24 heures.
ATTENTION
Lorsque la batterie est complètement chargée, le chargeur passe en charge de maintien
pour assurer une autonomie optimale.
Ne laissez pas le chargeur branché sur la batterie après l'avoir débranché du secteur. Cela
entraîne une perte temporaire de puissance et une réduction de la portée de l'entraînement.
Il est également recommandé de débrancher le chargeur de la batterie du secteur quand il
n'est pas utilisé.

3.6
Réglage de la hauteur du module
V-Drive
La hauteur du module V-Drive peut être réglée sur
une plage de 8 cm (5 niveaux) :
1. Retirez le module V-Drive du fauteuil
roulant comme décrit au §3.2 .
2. Retirez l’assemblage boulon-écrou (15).
3. Faites glisser le support du tube
télescopique (16) vers le haut/bas sur le
bloc de fixation jusqu'à la hauteur
souhaitée.
4. Replacez et serrez bien l’assemblage
boulon-écrou (15).
5. Rattachez le module V-Drive au fauteuil roulant conformément au §3.1.3 .

Maintenance
Un entretien régulier vous permet de conserver votre V-Drive dans un parfait état de
fonctionnement. Pour le manuel d'entretien, consultez le site Internet de Vermeiren :

Risque de dommages corporels et matériels
Les réparations et les remplacements ne peuvent être réalisés que par des personnes formées,
et seules des pièces de rechange d'origine de Vermeiren peuvent être utilisées.
La dernière page de ce manuel contient un formulaire d’enregistrement pour permettre au
revendeur spécialisé de consigner chaque service.
Avant chaque utilisation
Inspectez les points suivants :
• État de la batterie : Chargez la batterie si nécessaire, cf. § 3.5.
• Toutes les pièces : présentes, non endommagées, non usées et propres.
• État général.
Prenez contact avec votre revendeur spécialisé pour les réparations et les remplacements de
pièces éventuels.
Chaque année ou plus souvent
Faites inspecter et entretenir votre V-Drive par votre revendeur spécialisé au moins une fois par
an, ou plus. La fréquence d’entretien minimale dépend de l’usage et doit être déterminée de
commun accord avec votre revendeur spécialisé.
4.1
Nettoyage
Essuyez toutes les parties rigides avec un chiffon humide (pas détrempé). Si nécessaire, utilisez
un savon doux, approprié pour les laques et les synthétiques.
4.2
Réutilisation
Avant chaque réutilisation, faites contrôler et entretenir le V-Drive conformément aux instructions
de ce chapitre.
4.3
Durée de vie attendue
Le V-Drive est conçu pour avoir une durée de vie moyenne de 5 ans. Selon la fréquence
d'utilisation, les circonstances de conduite et d'entretien, la durée de vie de votre V-Drive
augmentera ou diminuera.
4.4
Mise au rebut
À la fin de sa durée de vie, votre V-Drive doit être mis au rebut conformément à la législation
environnementale locale. Il est recommandé de démonter le V-Drive afin de faciliter le transport
des matériaux recyclables. Généralement, les batteries sont collectées séparément.

5.1
Anomalies de conduite

Vérifiez si le V-Drive est allumé.

à gauche sur l'indicateur de charge de la batterie.

1 Uw product
De V-Drive werd ontworpen om rolstoelbegeleiders te helpen in belastende situaties, bijvoorbeeld
bij het oprijden van hellingen of glooiingen. Het zorgt voor extra ondersteuning om het duwen te
vergemakkelijken. De V-Drive is compatibel met verschillende stoelen en zitbreedtes dankzij de
twee beschikbare versies: een standaard versie (max. 135kg gebruikersgewicht) en een Heavy
Duty versie (max. 200kg gebruikersgewicht).
1.1 Compatibiliteit
V-Drive is compatibel met rolstoelen die voldoen aan de volgende criteria:
• Met een afstand tussen de buitenste buizen van 37cm – 50cm. Dit is meestal, maar niet
altijd, dezelfde als de zitbreedte;
• Met een ronde buisdiameter van 22mm – 25 mm.
Vooraleer uw V-Drive te gebruiken, raadpleeg de technische gegevens en limieten van het
bedoeld gebruik. Zie hoofdstuk 6.

• Installeer, onderhoud of gebruik dit product NIET tenzij u de instructies in deze handleiding,
alsook andere relevante handleidingen met betrekking op de rolstoel die wordt uitgerust met
dit product, volledig gelezen en begrepen heeft.
• Probeer de V-Drive of zijn besturingsconsole in geen geval te openen of uit elkaar te halen -
er zijn geen onderdelen die door de gebruiker onderhouden kunnen worden.
• Als u nog vragen heeft of als u ergens aan twijfelt, aarzel dan niet om contact op te nemen
met uw lokale vakhandelaar, zorgverlener, of technisch adviseur om u te helpen.
2.1 Beoogd gebruik
In dit hoofdstuk wordt kort beschreven wat het beoogde gebruik van uw V-Drive inhoudt.
Bijkomende relevante waarschuwingen worden gegeven bij de instructies in andere
hoofdstukken. Op deze manier proberen we u te waarschuwen voor mogelijk verkeerd gebruik.
• V-Drive is geschikt voor gebruik binnen en buiten.
• V-Drive is uitsluitend ontworpen voor het vervoer/transfer van één (1) persoon met een
maximumgewicht van 135 kg (Standaard versie) of 200 kg (Heavy Duty versie).
• V-Drive mag enkel bediend worden door een begeleider, niet door de gebruiker zelf.
• Lees eerst alle technische details en limieten van uw V-Drive in hoofdstuk 6.
• De garantie op dit product is gebaseerd op normaal gebruik en onderhoud zoals beschreven
in deze handleiding. De garantie vervalt bij schade die werd veroorzaakt door verkeerd gebruik
of gebrek aan onderhoud.
2.2 Algemene veiligheidsmaatregelen
Houd rekening met de volgende algemene waarschuwingen tijdens het gebruik:
• V-Drive mag niet blootgesteld worden aan hevige sneeuw of regen, vochtige omgevingen, of
direct zonlicht.
• Wanneer u de batterij verbindt met/ontkoppelt van de motor of lader, zorg er dan voor dat
zowel de stroom naar de lader als de V-Drive besturingsconsole uitgeschakeld is.
• Uw V-Drive werd getest op elektromagnetische compatibiliteit en voldoet aan de standaard,
(EN 12184: 2014, ISO7176-21: 209). Toch kunnen elektromagnetische velden de rijprestatie
van uw V-Drive beïnvloeden, bijvoorbeeld bij gsm's, stroomgeneratoren of energiebronnen
met hoog vermogen. De elektronica van uw V-Drive kan echter ook andere elektrische
apparaten beïnvloeden, zoals alarmsystemen in winkels en automatische deuren. We raden
daarom aan om uw V-Drive regelmatig te checken op schade of slijtage aangezien dit de
storing kan vergroten.
• Zorg ervoor dat de V-Drive zo ver mogelijk achterop de rolstoel gemonteerd wordt als
comfortabel is voor de begeleider.
WAARSCHUWING
Voor rolstoelen met een trommelrem voor de begeleider:
Remhendels voor de begeleider moeten verwijderd worden vooraleer de V-Drive
besturingsconsole te bevestigen. Als de rolstoel daardoor geen parkeerremmen meer heeft,
moeten aparte parkeerremmen bevestigd worden.

Gevaar voor letsel
• Lees eerst de voorgaande hoofdstukken en informeer uzelf over het beoogde gebruik.
Gebruik uw rolstoel met V-Drive NIET voordat u alle instructies gelezen en begrepen heeft.
• Zorg ervoor dat de anti-tipping van uw rolstoel is neergelaten.
• Als u nog vragen heeft of als u ergens aan twijfelt, aarzel dan niet om contact op te nemen
met uw lokale vakhandelaar, zorgverlener, of technisch adviseur om u te helpen.
3.1 V-Drive installeren op uw rolstoel
3.1.1 De besturingsconsole installeren
1. Duw de besturingsconsole (1) voorwaarts om het uit de
klem (2) te trekken.
2. Draai beide schroeven (3) van de klem los en plaats de
klem rond de buis van het rolstoelhandvat. Gebruik de
cirkelvormige rubber (4) als de buis te dun is.
3. Zet de klem vast op de buis door beide schroeven aan te
draaien.
4. Schuif de besturingsconsole (1) terug op de klem.
3.1.2 De bevestigingsbeugels installeren
1. Monteer beide beugels op de onderste horizontale
buizen van de rolstoel, net achter de bevestigingen
van het kruis (5), door de schroeven goed aan te
draaien.
2. Bevestig het lint (6) tussen de twee beugels.
3. Zorg ervoor dat de schroeven (7) vast genoeg zijn
aangedraaid en dat de beugels niet kunnen
ronddraaien op de buis.
3.1.3 De V-Drive module installeren
1. Schuif de telescopische buis (8) door de voorkant van de V-Drive module. Zet de sterknop
(9) op de buis los en pas aan tot de correcte lengte.
2. Draai de knop op de buis (9) en de knoppen aan de voorkant van de module (10) stevig aan.
3. Plaats de twee uiteinden van de telescopische buis op de beugels en duw de V-Drive module
naar voor tot ze vastklikt.
4. Sluit de kabel van de V-Drive module aan op de kabel onderaan de besturingsconsole (11).
5. Plaats de bovenste lus van het optreklint aan het handvat zonder besturingsconsole (12).

3.1.4 Het batterijpack installeren
1. Plaats het batterijpack in de batterijhouder zoals op de foto.
2. Zet het batterijpack vast door het helemaal op zijn plaats te
duwen. Er is een duidelijke klik hoorbaar.
3.2 De V-Drive uit elkaar halen voor transport
1. Schakel de V-Drive uit.
2. Koppel de V-Drive module los van de besturingsconsole (§3.1.3,
11).
3. Haal het optreklint van het handvat (§3.1.3, 12).
4. Haal het batterijpack uit de batterijhouder door aan het handvat
te trekken en gelijktijdig de PUSH knop onder het batterijpack in
te duwen (13).
5. Trek het lint (§3.1.2, 6) omhoog om de telescopische buis
(§3.1.3, 8) los te zetten. Houd V-Drive vast en duw de rolstoel
een beetje voorwaarts zodat de telescopische buis uit de
beugels komt. Verwijder de V-Drive module van de rolstoel.
6. Plaats alle onderdelen in de meegeleverde tas om schade te voorkomen.
7. Indien nodig/gewenst, kan u nu de rolstoel vouwen voor transport.
3.3 V-Drive hanteren wanneer niet in gebruik
Wanneer u de rolstoel zelf wil duwen zonder V-Drive te gebruiken, houd
dan de V-Drive module van de grond door de rode lus van het optreklint
over het rolstoelhandvat te plaatsen.
De bij V-Drive geleverde batterij is geclassificeerd als veilig voor het luchtverkeer in
overeenstemming met de speciale IATA bepaling A67.

3.4 Functies van de bedieningsconsole
Gevaar voor letsel
• Begin altijd met de LAAGSTE snelheid te rijden.
A. AAN/UIT knop
Druk deze knop kort in om V-Drive AAN/UIT te schakelen. De knop
licht groen op wanneer de V-Drive is ingeschakeld.
B. Batterij-indicator
De indicator geeft een idee van de resterende batterijcapaciteit.
Wanneer de indicator knippert, dient u de batterij zo snel mogelijk
te herladen om te voorkomen dat V-Drive zichzelf uitschakelt.
C. Knop voor achterwaarts bewegen
Druk deze knop om achterwaarts te rijden. Het lampje zal
aanduiden dat achterwaarts rijden geactiveerd is.
D. Knop voor voorwaarts bewegen
Druk deze knop om voorwaarts te rijden. Het lampje zal aanduiden
dat voorwaarts rijden geactiveerd is.
E. Snelheidsregelaar
Bepaal de maximum snelheid van uw V-Drive. Draai
de knop met de klok mee om de maximum snelheid te
verhogen, of tegen de klok in om de maximum
snelheid te verlagen.
F. Snelheidshendel
Trek de hendel omhoog om de V-Drive te doen rijden.
Hoe meer de hendel wordt ingedrukt, hoe sneller V-
Drive zal rijden. Laat de hendel los om V-Drive te doen
stoppen.
G. Buitenknop
Gebruik deze knop om de hoek van de bedieningsconsole aan te passen.
3.5 Batterijstatus en laden
Gevaar voor letsel en/of schade door brand
• Gebruik enkel de batterijlader die geleverd werd bij uw V-Drive. Het gebruiken van een andere
lader kan gevaarlijk zijn.
• De lader is enkel bedoeld om de batterijen op te laden die geleverd werden bij uw V-Drive,
geen andere batterijen.
• Maak geen aanpassingen aan de geleverde onderdelen, bijv. kabels, stekkers of de
batterijlader. Open of vervang nooit de batterij of de aansluitpunten.
• Bescherm de batterij en batterijlader tegen vlammen, hoge en lage temperaturen (zie
hoofdstuk 6), vochtigheid, zon, hevige schokken (bijvoorbeeld vallen). Gebruik de batterij
NIET als ze is blootgesteld aan een van de voornoemde omstandigheden.
• Laad de batterij op met de geleverde lader, binnenshuis, in een goed geventileerde ruimte,
buiten het bereik van kinderen.
VOORZICHTIG
WAARSCHUWING
Wanneer V-Drive wordt ingeschakeld, zal er steeds een vertraging van 2 seconden zijn
vooraleer deze begint te rijden.

Gevaar voor schade
• Automatische ontlading van de batterij en de ruststroom van de verbonden gebruikers zullen
de batterij langzaam ontladen. De batterij kan onherstelbaar beschadigd raken indien ze
volledig ontladen wordt. Zorg er daarom steeds voor dat de batterij tijdig wordt opgeladen:
o Bij intensief gebruik (lange afstanden, dagelijks gebruik): Herlaad onmiddellijk na
gebruik. Onderbreek de laadcyclus niet.
o Bij gemiddeld gebruik (korte afstanden, dagelijks of en paar keer per week): Herlaad
wanneer de batterij-indicator nog 50% aangeeft. Onderbreek de laadcyclus niet.
o Bij weinig gebruik of opslag: Herlaad één keer per week. Onderbreek de laadcyclus niet.
• Lees de instructies voor opslag en onderhoud in hoofdstuk 4 en 6.
• Koppel de batterijlader pas los wanneer de batterij volledig werd opgeladen.
• Laad batterijen niet op onder -10°. Verplaats de batterij naar een warmere plaats en begin
het opladen.
• Houd het aansluitpunt voor de batterijlader vrij van stof of vuil.
• In geval van problemen waardoor de batterij niet opgeladen kan worden volgens de
gebruiksaanwijzing van de lader, neem dan contact op met uw vakhandelaar.
• Wanneer de V-Drive niet gebruikt wordt gedurende een langere periode, dan moet hij nog
wel minstens één keer per week herladen worden om de batterij gebruiksklaar te houden, en
om schade aan de batterij te voorkomen.
Om de batterij op te laden:
1.
Schakel V-Drive UIT.
2.
Til het batterijpack uit de batterijhouder zoals beschreven in §3.2.
3.
Verbind EERST de batterijlader met een 230V AC stopcontact. Gebruik de batterijlader
rechtstreeks in het stopcontact, zonder verlengsnoer (en zonder tijdschakelaar).
4.
Sluit de lader aan op het aansluitpunt van het batterijpack.
5.
De LED van de lader licht oranje op om aan te geven dat de batterijen geladen worden.
6.
De oranje LED wordt groen zodra het laden is afgerond.
7.
Koppel de batterijlader los.
8.
Verwijder de lader uit het stopcontact, laat afkoelen en bewaar in de bijhorende tas.
9.
Schakel V-Drive aan. De batterij-indicator zal nu aantonen dat de batterij volledig
opgeladen is.
We raden aan om nog enkele uren te blijven laden nadat de LED groen geworden is. Dit zal de
capaciteit van de batterijen onderhouden en verbeteren. Met de meegeleverde lader duurt een
laadcyclus ongeveer 8 uur, maar om optimale werking te verzekeren wordt een laadcyclus van
12 uur aangeraden. Laad de batterijen niet langer dan 24 uur op.
De LED van de batterijlader zal ook groen oplichten wanneer de lader is aangesloten op het
stopcontact maar niet op de batterijen.
VOORZICHTIG
Wanneer de batterij volledig opgeladen is, zal de lader nog steeds druppelsgewijs de batterij
bijladen om een optimaal bereik te garanderen.
Houd de batterijlader niet aangesloten op de batterij wanneer die al ontkoppeld is van het
stopcontact. Dit zal zorgen voor een tijdelijke stroomafname en minder rijbereik. Het is ook
aan te raden om de batterijlader uit het stopcontact te trekken wanneer hij niet in gebruik is.

3.6 Hoogte van de V-Drive module aanpassen
De hoogte van de V-Drive module kan aangepast
worden over een afstand van 8 cm (5 stappen):
1. Verwijder de V-Drive module van de
rolstoel zoals beschreven in §3.2 .
2. Verwijder de bout-moer verbinding (15).
3. Schuif de bevestiging van de telescopische
buis (16) omhoog/omlaag over het
bevestigingsblok tot de gewenste hoogte.
4. Plaats de bout-moer verbinding (15) terug
en draai stevig aan.
5. Bevestig de V-Drive module terug op de
rolstoel volgens §3.1.3 .

4 Onderhoud
Regelmatig onderhoud zorgt ervoor dat uw scooter in een perfect functionele staat
gehouden wordt. Voor de onderhoudsinstructies, raadpleeg de Vermeiren website:
www.vermeiren.com.
Gevaar voor letsel of beschadiging
Reparaties en vervangingen mogen enkel uitgevoerd worden door opgeleid personeel, en enkel
originele onderdelen van Vermeiren mogen hierbij gebruikt worden.
De laatste pagina van deze handleiding bevat een registratieformulier, bedoeld voor de
vakhandelaar om ieder onderhoud te registeren.
Voor ieder gebruik
Kijk de volgende punten na:
• Batterijstatus: laad de batterij op indien nodig, zie §3.5.
• Alle onderdelen: aanwezig, niet beschadigd of versleten, schoon.
• Algemene staat
Contacteer uw vakhandelaar voor eventuele reparaties of vervanging van onderdelen.
Jaarlijks of vaker
Laat uw V-Drive nakijken en onderhouden door uw vakhandelaar, ten minste één keer per jaar of
vaker. De minimale onderhoudsfrequentie is afhankelijk van het gebruik en moet daarom
besproken worden met uw vakhandelaar.
4.1 Schoonmaken
Veeg alle harde onderdelen van de V-Drive schoon met een vochtig doek (niet doorweekt). Indien
nodig, gebruik een milde zeep die geschikt is voor vernis en synthetische materialen.
4.2 Hergebruik
Voor ieder hergebruik moet de V-Drive ontsmet, geïnspecteerd en onderhouden worden volgens
de instructies in dit hoofdstuk.
4.3 Verwachte levensduur
De gemiddelde levensduur van uw V-Drive is 5 jaar. De levensduur zal toenemen of afnemen
afhankelijk van de gebruiksfrequentie, rijomstandigheden en onderhoud.
4.4 Beëindiging van gebruik
Op het einde van de levensduur moet u de V-Drive vernietigen volgens de lokale milieuwetgeving.
De beste manier om dit te doen, is de V-Drive te demonteren om het vervoer van de recycleerbare
onderdelen te vergemakkelijken.

• Probeer NOOIT zelf uw rolstoel te repareren.
5.1
Afwijkingen tijdens het rijden
Deze paragraaf lijst een aantal problemen op met mogelijke oplossingen. Als het probleem zich
blijft voordoen, of als u enig ander probleem ondervindt, contacteer dan uw vakhandelaar.
1. De rolstoel beweegt niet wanneer de snelheidshendel wordt ingedrukt.
•
Controleer of de V-Drive in ingeschakeld.
•
Controleer of de batterij volledig is opgeladen.
•
Controleer of de verbinding tussen de batterij en motor correct is.
•
Zorg ervoor dat de remmen van de rolstoel niet aan staan.
•
Zorg ervoor dat het aandrijfwiel contact maakt met de grond.

Het is moeilijk om de rolstoel manueel te duwen.
•
Zorg ervoor dat de remmen van de rolstoel niet aan staan.

Beschreibung
Der V-Drive wurde entwickelt, um Rollstuhl-Begleitpersonen in anstrengenden Situationen zu
unterstützen, wie beispielsweise beim Befahren von Steigungen und Abhängen. Er stellt
zusätzliche Leistung beim Schieben bereit. Der V-Drive ist in zwei Versionen erhältlich und
dadurch mit verschiedenen Rollstühlen und Sitzbreiten kompatibel: eine Standardversion (max.
135 kg Benutzergewicht) und eine Schwerlastversion (max. 200 kg Benutzergewicht).
1.1 Kompatibilität
Der V-Drive ist für Rollstühle geeignet, die folgende Kriterien erfüllen:
• Abstand zwischen den Außenrohrkanten: 37 cm - 50 cm. Dies ist nicht immer, in der
Regel aber identisch mit der Rollstuhlsitzbreite;
• Rundrohrdurchmesser: 22 mm - 25 mm

diesem Produkt ausgestatteten Rollstuhl aufmerksam gelesen und vollständig verstanden
wurden.
• Versuchen Sie unter keinen Umständen, den V-Drive zu öffnen oder zu demontieren – es
befinden sich keine benutzerseitig zu wartenden Teile darin.
• Bei Zweifeln oder Fragen wenden Sie sich bitte zwecks Hilfe an Ihren Fachhändler,
Pflegedienst oder Fachberater.
2.1
Vorgesehene Benutzung
Dieser Abschnitt enthält eine kurze Beschreibung der vorgesehenen Benutzung des V-Drive.
Darüber hinaus enthalten die Anweisungen in den anderen Kapiteln zusätzliche Warnhinweise.
Auf diese Weise wollen wir Sie auf die Möglichkeit einer unsachgemäßen Benutzung hinweisen.
• Der V-Drive ist für den Innen- und Außenbereich geeignet.
• Er ist ausschließlich dafür vorgesehen, den Transport einer (1) Person mit einem Gewicht
von maximal 135 kg (Standardversion) oder 200 kg (Schwerlastversion) zu unterstützen.
• Der V-Drive darf nur von einer Begleitperson benutzt werden, und nicht vom Benutzer selbst.
• Sehen Sie sich bitte alle technischen Daten und Einschränkungen des V-Drive im Abschnitt 6
an.
• Die Garantie für dieses Produkt beruht auf dessen normaler Benutzung und Wartung wie in
diesem Handbuch beschrieben. Schäden an Ihrem Produkt, die auf unsachgemäße
Benutzung oder mangelnde Wartung zurückzuführen sind, führen zum Erlöschen der
Garantie.
2.2
Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie bei der Benutzung die folgenden allgemeinen Warnhinweise:
• Der V-Drive darf weder starkem Schneefall oder Regen noch hoher Feuchtigkeit oder
direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt werden.
• Achten Sie beim Anschließen / Abtrennen des Akkus vom Motor oder dem Ladegerät
darauf, dass sowohl die Stromversorgung des Ladegeräts als auch die V-Drive-
Bedienkonsole ausgeschaltet sind.
• Der V-Drive wurde an typischen, repräsentativen Fahrzeugen auf elektromagnetische
Verträglichkeit getestet und entspricht den relevanten EMV-Normen (DE 12184: 2014,
ISO7176-21: 209). Dennoch können Quellen elektromagnetischer Felder wie Mobiltelefone,
Stromgeneratoren oder Energiequellen mit hoher Leistung die Fahrleistung des V-Drive
beeinträchtigen. Andererseits kann auch die Elektronik des V-Drive Einfluss auf andere
elektronische Geräte wie Alarmanlagen in Geschäften und Automatiktüren haben. Wir
empfehlen daher, dass Sie Ihren Rollstuhl und den V-Drive regelmäßig auf
Beschädigungen und Verschleiß überprüfen, weil dies solche Beeinträchtigungen
verstärken könnte.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass der V-Drive möglichst weit hinten am Rollstuhl montiert wird, ohne
den Komfort für die Begleitperson zu beeinträchtigen.
WARNUNG
Für Rollstühle mit Begleiterbremsen:
Bevor die V-Drive-Bedienkonsole montiert wird, sollten Hebel von Begleiterbremsen
entfernt werden. Falls der Rollstuhl dadurch keine Feststellbremsen mehr hat, sollten
separate Feststellbremsen montiert werden.

Verletzungsgefahr

dem V-Drive, wenn Sie alle Anweisungen gelesen und verstanden haben.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Kippschutzvorrichtung an Ihrem Rollstuhl abgesenkt ist.
• Bei Zweifeln oder Fragen wenden Sie sich bitte zwecks Hilfe an Ihren Fachhändler,
Pflegedienst oder Fachberater.
3.1
Montage des V-Drive am Rollstuhl
3.1.1 Montage der Bedienkonsole
1. Drücken Sie die Bedienkonsole (1) nach vorn, um sie aus
der Halterung (2) zu nehmen.
2. Lösen Sie die beiden Schrauben (3) der Halterung und
bringen Sie sie am Rohr Ihres Rollstuhlgriffs an.
Verwenden Sie das runde Gummistück (4), falls der
Rollstuhlgriff zu dünn ist.
3. Befestigen Sie die Halterung am Rollstuhlgriff, indem Sie
die beiden Schrauben festziehen.
4. Schieben Sie die Konsole (1) wieder auf die Halterung.
3.1.2 Montage der Stützhalterungen
1. Montieren Sie beide Halterungen am unteren
horizontalen Rohr des Rollstuhls, direkt hinter den
Traversen (5).
2. Bringen Sie den Gurt (6) zwischen den Halterungen
an.
3. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Schrauben (7)
ausreichend fest angezogen sind und sich nicht am
Rohr drehen.
3.1.3 Montage des V-Drive-Moduls
1. Schieben Sie die Teleskopstange (8) durch das Vorderteil des V-Drive-Moduls. Lösen Sie
den Sterngriff (9) an der Stange und stellen Sie die korrekte Länge ein.
2. Ziehen Sie die Drehgriffe an der Stange und vorn am V-Drive-Modul (10) fest.
3. Setzen Sie die beiden Enden der Stange hinten auf die Halterungen und drücken Sie das
V-Drive-Modul dann nach vorn, bis es einrastet.
4. Schließen Sie das Kabel vom V-Drive-Modul unten am Bedienteil (11) an.
5. Legen Sie die obere Schlaufe des Hebegurts um den Schiebegriff (12), der dem Bedienteil
gegenüberliegt.

3.1.4 Montage des Akkupacks
1. Legen Sie das Akkupack in die Akkuablage (siehe Foto).
2. Sichern Sie das Akkupack, indem Sie es vollständig
hineinschieben, bis es hörbar einrastet.
3.2
Demontage des V-Drive zwecks Transport
1.
Schalten Sie den V-Drive aus.
2.
Trennen Sie das V-Drive-Modul von der Bedienkonsole ab
(Abschnitt 3.1.3, 11).
3.
Entfernen Sie den Hebegurt vom Schiebegriff (Abschnitt 3.1.3,
12).
4.
Nehmen Sie das Akkupack aus der Ablage, indem Sie am Griff
ziehen und gleichzeitig die Drucktaste unten am Akkupack (13)
betätigen.
5.
Ziehen Sie den Gurt nach oben (Abschnitt 3.1.2, 6), um die
Teleskopstange zu entriegeln (Abschnitt 3.1.3, 8). Halten Sie
den V-Drive fest und drücken Sie den Rollstuhl etwas nach vorn, so dass sich die
Teleskopstange aus den Halterungen löst. Entfernen Sie den V-Drive vom Rollstuhl.
6.
Legen Sie alle Teile in die mitgelieferte Tragetasche, um sie vor Beschädigungen zu
schützen.
7.
Falls notwendig/gewünscht, können Sie den Rollstuhl nun für den
Transport zusammenklappen.
3.3 V-Drive-Handhabung bei Nichtgebrauch
Falls Sie den Rollstuhl manuell schieben wollen und den V-Drive nicht
benötigen, heben Sie das V-Drive-Modul vom Boden ab, indem Sie die
rote Schlaufe am Hebegurt anheben und auf dem Schiebegriff ablegen.
Der zum Lieferumfang des V-Drive gehörende Akku ist als flugreisesicher gemäß IATA-
Sonderbestimmung A67 klassifiziert.

3.4
Funktionen der Bedienkonsole
Verletzungsgefahr
• Starten Sie immer mit der NIEDRIGSTEN Geschwindigkeit.
A. EIN/AUS-Taste
Drücken Sie kurz auf diese Taste, um den V-Drive EIN/AUS zu
schalten. Die Taste leuchtet hellgrün, wenn der V-Drive
eingeschaltet ist.
B. Akkuladestandsanzeige
Die Anzeige gibt ungefähr die verbleibende Akkukapazität an.
Wenn sie blinkt, muss der Akku möglichst bald wieder aufgeladen
werden, um eine Abschaltung zu vermeiden.
C. Rückwärts-Taste
Drücken Sie diese Taste, um rückwärts zu fahren. Das Licht zeigt
an, dass die Rückwärtsbewegung aktiviert wurde.
D. Vorwärts-Taste
Drücken Sie diese Taste, um vorwärts zu fahren. Das Licht zeigt an, dass die
Vorwärtsbewegung aktiviert wurde.
E. Geschwindigkeitsregler
Hiermit legen Sie die Höchstgeschwindigkeit für den
V-Drive fest. Drehen Sie das Wählrad im
Uhrzeigersinn, um die Höchstgeschwindigkeit zu
steigern, oder gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, um sie zu
verringern.
F. Gashebel
Betätigen Sie diesen Hebel, um den V-Drive zu
aktivieren. Je mehr der Hebel betätigt wird, desto
schneller fährt der V-Drive. Um den V-Drive
anzuhalten, lassen Sie den Hebel los.
G. Justierknopf
Mit diesem Knopf können Sie den Winkel der Bedienkonsole verändern.
3.5 Akkustatus und Aufladung
Gefahr von Personen- und Sachschäden durch Feuer
• Benutzen Sie ausschließlich das zum Lieferumfang des V-Drive gehörende Ladegerät. Die
Benutzung eines anderen Ladegeräts kann mit Gefahren verbunden sein.
• Das Akku-Ladegerät ist nur dafür vorgesehen, die mit dem V-Drive mitgelieferten Akkus
aufzuladen, und keine anderen Akkus.
• Nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen an mitgelieferten Teilen wie Kabel, Stecker oder dem
Ladegerät vor. Der Akku oder die Anschlusskontakte dürfen keinesfalls geöffnet oder
verändert werden.
• Schützen Sie den Akku und das Ladegerät vor offenem Feuer, hohen und niedrigen
Temperaturen (siehe Abschnitt 6), Feuchtigkeit, Sonneneinstrahlung und starken
Erschütterungen (z. B. Sturz). Benutzen Sie den Akku NICHT, wenn eine dieser
Bedingungen vorliegt.
• Laden Sie den Akku mit Hilfe des Ladegeräts in einem gut belüfteten Gebäudebereich
außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.

Beim Einschalten des V-Drive gibt es eine 2-sekündige Verzögerung, bevor sich der
Rollstuhl in Bewegung setzt.

Beschädigungsgefahr
• Der Akku wird durch Selbstentladung und den Ruhestrom der angeschlossenen
Verbraucher allmählich entladen. Der Akku kann irreversibel beschädigt werden, wenn er
vollständig entladen wird. Achten Sie deshalb darauf, den Akku rechtzeitig wieder
aufzuladen:
o Bei intensiver Nutzung (lange Strecken, täglicher Gebrauch): Nach Gebrauch
unverzüglich aufladen. Ladevorgang nicht unterbrechen.
o Bei durchschnittlicher Nutzung (kurze Strecken, täglich oder wenige Male pro Woche):
Akku aufladen, wenn die Anzeige 50 % Entladung anzeigt. Ladevorgang nicht
unterbrechen.
o Bei geringer Nutzung oder Lagerung: Einmal pro Woche aufladen. Ladevorgang nicht
unterbrechen.
• Lesen Sie die Hinweise zu Lagerungsbedingung und Instandhaltung in den Abschnitten 4
und 6.
• Trennen Sie das Ladegerät erst ab, wenn der Akku vollständig aufgeladen ist.
• Laden Sie Akkus nie unter -10°C auf. Bringen Sie den Akku an einen wärmeren Ort und
starten Sie den Aufladevorgang.
• Halten Sie die Anschlusskontakte des Ladegeräts frei von Staub und anderen
Verunreinigungen.
• Sollte sich der Akku nicht gemäß den nachstehenden Anweisungen aufladen lassen,
wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler.
• Auch wenn Sie den V-Drive für längere Zeit lang nicht benutzen, sollte der Akku mindestens
einmal pro Woche aufgeladen werden, um seine jederzeitige Einsatzbereitschaft zu
erhalten und Lagerungsschäden zu vermeiden.
So laden Sie den Akku auf:
1.
Schalten Sie den V-Drive AUS.
2.
Nehmen Sie das Akkupack aus der Ablage (siehe Abschnitt 3.2).
3.
Schließen Sie ZUERST das Akku-Ladegerät an eine Steckdose mit 230 V Wechselstrom
an. Schließen Sie das Ladegerät direkt – ohne Verlängerungskabel – an der
Netzstromversorgung an (ohne Zeitschalter).
4.
Schließen Sie das Ladegerät am Ladeanschluss des Akkupacks an.
5.
Die LED am Ladegerät leuchtet orange als Hinweis darauf, dass die Akkus aufgeladen
werden.
6.
Die orangefarbene LED wechselt zu grün, wenn der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist.
7.
Trennen Sie das Ladegerät ab
8.
Trennen Sie das Ladegerät von der Steckdose ab, lassen Sie es abkühlen, und lagern
Sie es dann in der Schutzhülle.
9.
Schalten Sie den V-Drive ein. Die Ladestandsanzeige sollte nun angeben, dass der Akku
vollständig aufgeladen ist.
Es wird empfohlen, den Ladevorgang noch einige Stunden lang fortzusetzen, nachdem die LED
grün geworden ist. Dadurch wird die Leistungsfähigkeit Ihrer Akkus aufrechterhalten und
gesteigert. Mit dem beiliegenden Ladegerät dauert der Ladevorgang ca. 8 Stunden; für eine

Auch wenn der Akku vollständig aufgeladen ist, führt das Ladegerät eine Erhaltungsladung
durch, um die maximale Reichweite zu gewährleisten.
Lassen Sie das Ladegerät nicht am Akku angeschlossen, nachdem Sie es von der
Netzstromversorgung abgetrennt haben. Andernfalls kommt es zu einer vorübergehenden
Leistungsaufnahme und Verringerung der Reichweite. Das Akkuladegerät sollte zudem
von der Netzstromversorgung abgetrennt werden, wenn es nicht benutzt wird.

optimale Leistung wird indes eine Ladedauer von 12 Stunden empfohlen. Laden Sie die Akkus
jedoch nicht länger als 24 Stunden lang auf.
Die LED am Ladegerät leuchtet auch grün, wenn das Ladegerät zwar eingeschaltet, aber nicht
an den Akkus angeschlossen ist.
3.6
Höhenanpassung beim V-Drive-
Modul
Die Höhe des V-Drive-Moduls ist in einem
Bereich von 8 cm (5 Stufen) einstellbar:
1. Entfernen Sie den V-Drive vom Rollstuhl
(siehe Abschnitt 3.2).
2. Entfernen Sie die Schraube/Mutter-
Verbindung (15).
3. Schieben Sie das Teleskoprohr (16) im
Befestigungsblock nach oben/unten, bis
die gewünschte Höhe erreicht ist.
4. Bringen Sie die Schraube/Mutter-
Verbindung (15) wieder an und fixieren
Sie sie.
5. Bringen Sie den V-Drive wieder am Rollstuhl an (siehe Abschnitt 3.1.3).

Instandhaltung
Bei regelmäßiger Pflege wird der V-Drive in einem einwandfreien Zustand bleiben. Die
Wartungsanleitung finden Sie auf der Website von Vermeiren: www.vermeiren.com.
Gefahr von Personen- oder Sachschäden
Reparaturen und Erneuerungen dürfen nur von geschultem Personal und mit Original-
Ersatzteilen von Vermeiren durchgeführt werden.
Auf der letzten Seite dieses Handbuchs befindet sich ein Registrierungsformular, auf dem
der Fachhändler jeden Service dokumentieren kann.
Vor jeder Benutzung
Kontrollieren Sie folgende Punkte:
• Akkustatus: Laden Sie den Akku bei Bedarf auf (siehe Abschnitt 3.5)
• Alle Teile: vorhanden, nicht beschädigt oder verschlissen und sauber.
• Gesamtzustand.
Wenden Sie sich wegen etwaiger Reparaturen oder Ersatzteile an Ihren Fachhändler.
Jährlich oder häufiger
Lassen Sie den V-Drive mindestens einmal pro Jahr oder häufiger von Ihrem Fachhändler
inspizieren und warten. Die minimale Wartungshäufigkeit ist von der Benutzung abhängig und
sollte daher zusammen mit Ihrem Fachhändler abgesprochen werden.
4.1
Reinigung
Wischen Sie alle festen Teile des V-Drive mit einem feuchten (nicht durchnässten) Tuch ab.
Benutzen Sie ggf. eine milde Seife, die für Lacke und Kunststoffe geeignet ist.
4.2
Wiederbenutzung
Lassen Sie den V-Drive vor jeder Wiederbenutzung inspizieren und entsprechend den
Anweisungen in diesem Kapitel warten.
4.3
Voraussichtliche Nutzungsdauer
Der V-Drive ist für eine Nutzungsdauer von durchschnittlich 5 Jahren ausgelegt. Je nach
Nutzungshäufigkeit, Betriebsbedingungen und Wartung kann die Nutzungsdauer des V-Drive
länger oder kürzer sein.
4.4
Nutzungsende
Am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer muss der V-Drive gemäß den geltenden Umweltvorschriften
entsorgt werden. Dazu wird er im besten Fall zerlegt, um den Transport wiederverwertbarer
Teile zu erleichtern. Üblicherweise wird der Akku getrennt gesammelt.

• Versuchen Sie KEINESFALLS, den V-Drive oder die Bedienkonsole selbst zu reparieren.
5.1
Auffälligkeiten beim Fahren
In diesem Abschnitt sind ein paar Probleme mit den entsprechenden Lösungen aufgeführt.
Sollten die Probleme fortbestehen oder nicht aufgeführte Probleme auftreten, wenden Sie sich
bitte an Ihren Fachhändler.
1.
Der Rollstuhl bewegt sich nicht, wenn man den Gashebel betätigt.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob der V-Drive eingeschaltet ist.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob der Akku vollständig aufgeladen ist.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Verbindung zwischen Akku und Motor korrekt ist.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Feststellbremsen des Rollstuhls angezogen sind.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Antriebsrad Bodenkontakt hat.
2.
Der Rollstuhl lässt sich nur schwer per Hand schieben.
•
Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Feststellbremsen des Rollstuhls angezogen sind.
•
Heben Sie das V-Drive-Modul vom Boden ab (Abschnitt 3.3).
•
Entfernen Sie das V-Drive-Modul.

Der V-Drive ist zu schnell/langsam.
•
Stellen Sie die Geschwindigkeit mit dem Wählrad ein.
•
Laden Sie die Akkus auf (nur, wenn zu langsam).

Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Feststellbremsen des Rollstuhls angezogen sind.

Systemcodes
Sollte ein Problem auftreten, wird durch Blinken der äußerst linken LED an der
Ladestandsanzeige ein Systemcode angezeigt.
Mögliche Systemcodes sind in der folgenden Tabelle zusammengefasst. Einige Probleme
können Sie auch selbst beheben. Bei allen grau hinterlegten Fehlern wenden Sie sich bitte an
Ihren Fachhändler.

Descrizione
Il modulo V-Drive è progettato per supportare gli assistenti delle carrozzine nelle situazioni di
particolare sforzo, ad esempio durante l’uso delle carrozzine stesse in salita su pendii e colline.
Esso fornisce potenza aggiuntiva a supporto dello sforzo di spinta. Il modulo V-Drive è compatibile
con una serie di carrozzine e con sedili di diverse larghezze grazie alla disponibilità di due
versioni, vale a dire una versione standard (peso massimo con utente 135 kg) e una per impieghi
gravosi (peso massimo con utente 200 kg).
1.1 Compatibilità
Il modulo V-Drive è compatibile con le carrozzine che soddisfano i seguenti criteri:
• distanza fra i bordi dei tubi esterni pari a 37 - 50 cm. Tale valore coincide solitamente, ma
non sempre, con la larghezza del sedile della carrozzina;
• con diametro dei tubi rotondi pari a 22 - 25 mm.
Prima di utilizzare il modulo V-Drive, verificare i dettagli tecnici e i limiti relativi all’uso
previsto. Vedere il capitolo 6.

pertinenti relativi alla carrozzina dotata di questo prodotto.
• Non tentare in alcun caso di aprire o smontare il modulo V-Drive o la console di comando,
poiché al loro interno non sono presenti componenti di cui l'utente possa effettuare la
manutenzione.
• In caso di dubbi o domande, non esitare a rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore specializzato di
zona, al proprio fornitore di cure sanitarie o a un consulente tecnico per un aiuto al riguardo.
2.1
Uso previsto
Questo paragrafo fornisce una breve descrizione dell’uso previsto del modulo V-Drive. Gli altri
paragrafi aggiungono inoltre alle istruzioni ulteriori avvertenze di rilievo. Vermeiren desidera in tal
modo portare all’attenzione dell’utente gli eventuali usi errati che possono presentarsi.
• Il modulo V-Drive è adatto per l'uso al coperto e all'aperto.
• Il modulo V-Drive progettato e realizzato esclusivamente come ausilio per il trasporto di una
(1) persona del peso massimo di 135 kg (versione standard) o 200 kg (versione per impieghi
gravosi).
• Il modulo V-Drive è destinato unicamente all’azionamento da parte di un assistente, non
dell’utente della carrozzina.
• Leggere tutte le informazioni tecniche di dettaglio e le limitazioni del modulo V-Drive, riportate
nel capitolo 6.
• La garanzia del prodotto presuppone un uso e una manutenzione normali del medesimo,
come descritti in questo manuale. I danni al prodotto dovuti a uso improprio o manutenzione
carente causano la decadenza della garanzia.
2.2
Istruzioni generali di sicurezza
Durante l’uso, tenere presenti le seguenti avvertenze generali:
• Il modulo V-Drive non deve essere esposto a piogge o nevicate intense, all’umidità o alla luce
solare diretta.
• Quando si collega/scollega la batteria al/dal motore elettrico o al/dal caricabatterie, accertarsi
che l’alimentazione di quest’ultimo e quella della console di comando del modulo V-Drive
siano entrambe disinserite.
• Il modulo V-Drive è stato sottoposto a prove di compatibilità elettromagnetica su veicoli tipici
e rappresentativi, ed è conforme alle norme EMC appropriate (EN 12184: 2014, ISO 7176-
21: 209). Le fonti di campi elettromagnetici, come quelli di telefoni cellulari, generatori di
corrente o fonti energetiche di grande potenza, possono tuttavia influire sulle prestazioni di
azionamento del modulo V-Drive. L’elettronica presente nel modulo V-Drive può d’altro canto
influire su altri apparati elettronici, come i sistemi di allarme dei negozi e le porte automatiche.
Si consiglia pertanto di sottoporre la carrozzina e il modulo V-Drive a verifiche regolari degli
eventuali danni e dell’usura, poiché i medesimi possono rendere più intense le interferenze.
• Accertarsi che il modulo V-Drive sia installato posteriormente sulla carrozzina, nella posizione
più confortevole possibile per l’assistente.
AVVERTENZA
Per le carrozzine dotate di freni a cavo per assistenti:
Prima di montare la console di comando del modulo V-Drive, occorre rimuovere le leve dei
freni per l’assistente. Se a seguito di tale operazione la carrozzina ne rimane priva, occorre
montare sulla stessa opportuni freni di parcheggio.

• Leggere anzitutto il capitolo precedente per familiarizzarsi con l’uso previsto. NON utilizzare
la carrozzina e il modulo V-Drive senza avere letto e compreso a fondo tutte le istruzioni.
• Accertarsi che il dispositivo anti-ribaltamento della carrozzina sia stato abbassato.
• In caso di dubbi o domande, non esitare a rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore specializzato di
zona, al proprio fornitore di cure sanitarie o a un consulente tecnico per un aiuto al riguardo.
3.1
Montaggio del modulo V-Drive sulla carrozzina
3.1.1 Installazione della console di comando
1. Spingere in avanti la console di comando (1) per sfilarla dal
morsetto (2).
2. Allentare entrambe le viti (3) del morsetto e posizionarlo
intorno al tubo della maniglia della carrozzina. Se il tubo
della carrozzina è troppo sottile, utilizzare l’elemento in
gomma (4).
3. Stringere il morsetto intorno alla maniglia della carrozzina
serrando entrambe le viti.
4. Inserire nuovamente la console (1) sul morsetto.
3.1.2 Installazione delle staffe di supporto
1. Installare entrambe le staffe sul tubo orizzontale
inferiore della carrozzina, subito dietro gli attacchi (5)
della crociera.
2. Fissare la cinghia (6) fra le staffe.
3. Accertarsi che le viti (7) siano serrate a sufficienza e non
ruotino sul tubo.
3.1.3 Installazione del modulo V-Drive
1. Inserire la barra telescopica (8) facendola scorrere attraverso l’estremità anteriore del modulo
V-Drive. Allentare la manopola a stella (9) presente sulla barra e regolare quest’ultima sulla
lunghezza corretta.
2. Serrare le manopole sulla barra e sul lato anteriore del modulo V-Drive (10).
3. Inserire le due estremità della barra sulla parte posteriore delle staffe, quindi spingere in
avanti il modulo V-Drive fino a quando non si blocca nella posizione corretta.
4. Collegare il cavo proveniente dal modulo V-Drive al connettore presente sotto il telecomando
(11).
5. Collocare l’anello superiore della cinghia di sollevamento intorno alla maniglia di spinta (12)
opposta rispetto al telecomando.

3.1.4 Installazione del pacco batterie
1. Collocare il pacco batterie nell’apposito vassoio, come
mostrato nell’immagine.
2. Fissare il pacco batterie spingendolo a fondo all’interno. Si
percepisce un clic.
3.2
Smontaggio del modulo V-Drive per il trasporto
1.
Spegnere il modulo V-Drive.
2.
Scollegare il modulo V-Drive dalla console di comando (§ 3.1.3,
elemento 11).
3.
Rimuovere la cinghia di sollevamento dalla maniglia di spinta (§
3.1.3, elemento 12).
4.
Rimuovere dal vassoio il pacco batterie tirando la maniglia di
quest’ultimo e premendo contemporaneamente il pulsante
PUSH (13) presente sul fondo del pacco batterie stesso.
5.
Tirare verso l’alto la cinghia (§ 3.1.2, elemento 6) per sbloccare
la barra telescopica (§ 3.1.3, elemento 8). Trattenere il modulo
V-Drive e spingere leggermente in avanti la carrozzina, in modo che la barra telescopica
fuoriesca dalle staffe. Rimuovere il modulo V-Drive dalla carrozzina.
6.
Collocare tutti gli articoli nell’apposita borsa di trasporto, per evitare che si danneggino.
7.
Se occorre / lo si desidera, è ora possibile ripiegare la carrozzina per
il trasporto.
3.3 Gestione del modulo V-Drive quando non è in uso
Quando si desidera spingere manualmente la carrozzina, senza utilizzare
il modulo V-Drive, fissare quest’ultimo in posizione sollevata da terra
sollevando l’anello rosso della cinghia di sollevamento e collocandolo
sulla maniglia di spinta.
La batteria fornita con il modulo V-Drive è classificata come articolo sicuro per i viaggi aerei
in conformità alla disposizione speciale IATA A67.

3.4
Funzioni della console di comando

• Iniziare sempre a muoversi alla velocità MINIMA.
A. Pulsante ON/OFF
Premere brevemente questo pulsante per accendere/spegnere il
modulo V-Drive. Quando il modulo V-Drive è acceso, il pulsante si
illumina in verde.
B. Indicatore dello stato di carica della batteria
Esso fornisce anche una stima della capacità residua della
batteria. Quando l’indicatore lampeggia, ricaricare la batteria non
appena possibile per evitare lo spegnimento.
C. Pulsante di spostamento all’indietro
Premere questo pulsante per spostarsi all’indietro. La spia indica
l’avvenuta attivazione dello spostamento all’indietro.
D. Pulsante di spostamento in avanti
Premere questo pulsante per spostarsi in avanti. La spia indica l’avvenuta attivazione dello
spostamento in avanti.
E. Manopola della velocità
Determinare la velocità massima del modulo V-Drive
in uso. Ruotare la manopola in senso orario per
aumentare la velocità massima, oppure in senso
antiorario per ridurla.
F. Leva dell’acceleratore
Premere la leva per azionare il modulo V-Drive.
Aumentando la pressione sulla leva, la velocità di
marcia del modulo V-Drive aumenta. Per arrestare il
modulo V-Drive, rilasciare la leva.
G. Manopola esterna
Utilizzare questa manopola per variare l’angolazione della console di comando.
3.5 Stato e ricarica delle batterie
Rischio di lesioni e/o di danni da incendio
• Utilizzare esclusivamente il caricabatterie fornito con il modulo V-Drive. L’uso di qualunque
altro caricabatterie può essere pericoloso.
• Il caricabatterie è studiato unicamente per caricare le batterie fornita con il modulo V-Drive, e
nessun’altra.
• Non effettuare alcun adattamento dei componenti forniti, come cavi, spinotti o caricabatterie.
Non aprire mai la batteria e non modificarne i punti di collegamento.
• Proteggere batterie e caricabatterie da fiamme, temperature basse ed elevate (vedere il
capitolo 6), umidità, luce solare diretta e urti violenti (ad esempio cadute). NON utilizzare la
batteria se è stata esposta a tali condizioni.
• Caricare la batteria con il caricabatterie; eseguire l’operazione al coperto, in un’area ben
ventilata e fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

AVVERTENZA
Quando si attiva il modulo V-Drive, è presente un ritardo di 2 secondi prima che la carrozzina
inizi a muoversi.

Rischio di danni
• La batteria viene scaricata lentamente dalla sua stessa autoscarica e dalla corrente di riposo
delle utenze collegate. Se la si scarica completamente, la batteria può danneggiarsi
irreparabilmente. Accertarsi pertanto che la batteria venga ricaricata per tempo:
o In caso di uso intensivo (lunghi percorsi, uso quotidiano): Effettuare la ricarica subito
dopo l’uso. Non interrompere il ciclo di ricarica.
o Uso medio (percorsi brevi, uso quotidiano o alcune volte alla settimana): Effettuare la
ricarica quando l’indicatore della batteria mostra una carica residua del 50%. Non
interrompere il ciclo di ricarica.
o Uso occasionale o magazzinaggio: Effettuare la ricarica una volta alla settimana. Non
interrompere il ciclo di ricarica.
• Leggere le condizioni di magazzinaggio e le istruzioni per la manutenzione riportate nei
capitoli 4 e 6.
• Scollegare il caricabatterie soltanto quando la batteria è completamente carica.
• Non caricare le batterie a temperature inferiori a -10 °C. Avviare la ricarica soltanto dopo
averle trasferite in un ambiente più caldo.
• Mantenere il punto di collegamento del caricabatterie libero da polvere e altri contaminanti.
• In caso di problemi che impediscano di caricare la batteria secondo le istruzioni riportate di
seguito, rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore specializzato.
• Se non si utilizza il modulo V-Drive per un periodo prolungato, è comunque opportuno
effettuare la ricarica almeno una volta alla settimana per mantenere la batteria in condizioni
pienamente operative ed evitare che si danneggi.
Per caricare la batteria:
1.
Spegnere il modulo V-Drive.
2.
Sollevare il pacco batterie ed estrarlo dal vassoio come descritto nel § 3.2.
3.
Collegare ANZITUTTO il caricabatterie a una presa elettrica a 230 Vc.a. Collegare il
caricabatterie direttamente alla presa di alimentazione, senza prolunghe (né timer).
4.
Collegare l'adattatore al punto di ricarica del pacco batterie.
5.
Il LED del caricabatterie si illumina in arancione per indicare che è in corso la ricarica delle
batterie.
6.
Una volta completata la ricarica, il LED arancione diventa verde.
7.
Scollegare il caricabatterie.
8.
Scollegare il caricabatterie dalla presa, lasciarlo raffreddare e riporlo in un luogo asciutto.
9.
Accendere il modulo V-Drive. L’indicatore dello stato di carica della batteria deve indicare
che la stessa è completamente carica.
Si consiglia di proseguire la ricarica per un paio d’ore dopo che il LED del caricabatterie è
diventato verde. Tale accorgimento preserva e incrementa la capacità delle batterie. Con il
caricabatterie in dotazione, il tempo di ricarica è pari a circa 8 ore, ma per garantire prestazioni
ottimali si consiglia un ciclo di ricarica di 12 ore. Non ricaricare le batterie per più di 24 ore.
Il LED del caricabatterie si illumina in verde anche quando il caricabatterie è acceso ma non è
collegato alle batterie.
ATTENZIONE
Anche una volta che la batteria è completamente carica, il caricabatterie provvede
comunque alla carica di mantenimento della batteria, a garanzia di un’autonomia ottimale.
Una volta scollegato il caricabatterie dalla rete elettrica, scollegarlo anche dalla batteria. In
caso contrario, si verificano un assorbimento temporaneo di energia e una riduzione
dell’autonomia di marcia. Quando non lo si utilizza, si consiglia inoltre di scollegare il
caricabatterie dalla rete elettrica.

3.6
Regolazione dell’altezza del modulo V-Drive
È possibile regolare l’altezza del modulo V-Drive
su un intervallo di 8 cm (5 intervalli):
1. Rimuovere il modulo V-Drive dalla
carrozzina come descritto nel § 3.2.
2. Rimuovere il bullone e il dado di
collegamento (15).
3. Fare scorrere il supporto (16) del tubo
telescopico verso l’alto / il basso sul blocco
di fissaggio, fino all’altezza desiderata.
4. Rimontare e serrare a fondo il
collegamento (15) con dado e bullone.
5. Fissare nuovamente alla carrozzina il
modulo V-Drive come indicato nel § 3.1.3.

Manutenzione
Una cura regolare garantisce che il modulo V-Drive rimanga in perfette condizioni di
funzionamento. Per il manuale di manutenzione, fare riferimento al sito Web di Vermeiren
all’indirizzo www.vermeiren.com.
Rischio di lesioni e danni
Riparazioni e sostituzioni devono essere eseguite esclusivamente da personale con un’opportuna
formazione e utilizzando unicamente ricambi originali Vermeiren.
L’ultima pagina di questo manuale contiene un modulo di registrazione che consente ai
rivenditori specializzati di registrare ogni intervento di assistenza.
Prima di ciascun utilizzo
Verificare i seguenti punti:
• Stato della batteria: Caricare la batteria secondo necessità; vedere il § 3.5.
• Tutti i componenti: presenza, integrità, assenza di usura e pulizia.
• Condizioni generali.
Per eventuali riparazioni o ricambi, rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore specializzato.
Annualmente o con maggiore frequenza
Almeno una volta all’anno, o con maggiore frequenza, richiedere al proprio rivenditore
specializzato un intervento di ispezione e manutenzione del modulo V-Drive. La frequenza
minima di manutenzione dipende da quella di utilizzo, e deve pertanto essere concordata con il
proprio rivenditore specializzato.
4.1
Pulizia
Strofinare tutti i componenti rigidi dello scooter con un panno umido (non zuppo). Se necessario,
utilizzare un detergente delicato, adatto per smalti e materiali sintetici.
4.2
Utilizzi successivi
Prima di ogni utilizzo successivo, fare ispezionare e sottoporre a manutenzione il modulo V-Drive
secondo le istruzioni in questo capitolo.
4.3
Durata prevista
La durata media da progetto del modulo V-Drive è pari a 5 anni. Tale valore aumenta o diminuisce
a seconda della frequenza di utilizzo, delle condizioni di guida e della manutenzione del modulo
stesso.
4.4
Fine vita
A fine vita, occorre smaltire il modulo V-Drive conformemente alla legislazione ambientale locale.
Il modo migliore per farlo consiste nello smontare il modulo V-Drive per agevolare il trasporto dei
componenti riciclabili. Le batterie sono solitamente oggetto di una raccolta separata.

5.1
Anomalie di trazione
Questo paragrafo elenca una serie di problemi e di possibili soluzioni. Se un problema persiste,
o se si rilevano altri problemi non elencati in questo documento, rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore
specializzato.
1.
La carrozzina non si muove quando si preme la leva dell’acceleratore.
•
Verificare che il modulo V-Drive sia acceso.
•
Verificare che la batteria sia completamente carica.
•
Verificare che il collegamento fra la batteria e il motore elettrico sia corretto.
•
Verificare che i freni della carrozzina non siano inseriti.
•
Verificare che la ruota motrice sia a contatto con il terreno.
2.
La carrozzina risulta difficile da spingere manualmente.
•
Verificare che i freni della carrozzina non siano inseriti.
•
Sollevare da terra il modulo V-Drive (§ 3.3).
•
Rimuovere il modulo V-Drive.
3.
Il modulo V-Drive genera una velocità eccessiva insufficiente.
•

Codici di sistema
Se si verifica un problema, il LED più a sinistra sull’indicatore dello stato di carica della batteria
lampeggia visualizzando un codice di sistema.
La tabella riportata di seguito riassume i possibili codici di sistema. Alcuni problemi possono
essere risolti dall'utente. Per tutti i problemi contrassegnati in grigio, rivolgersi al proprio

Descripción
El V-Drive está diseñado para ayudar a auxiliares con sillas de ruedas en situaciones
extenuantes, como subir sillas de ruedas por pendientes o colinas. Proporciona potencia
adicional para ayudar a empujar. El V-Drive es compatible con una variedad de sillas de ruedas
y varias anchuras de asiento gracias a las dos versiones disponibles: una versión estándar (máx.
135 kg de peso del usuario) y una versión resistente (máx. 200 kg peso del usuario).
1.1 Compatibilidad
El módulo V-Drive es compatible con sillas de ruedas que cumplan con los siguientes requisitos:
• con una distancia de 37 cm – 50 cm entre los extremos de los tubos externos. Esta suele
ser, aunque no siempre, igual a la anchura del asiento;
• con un diámetro de los tubos de entre 22mm – 25mm.

2.1
Uso previsto
En este párrafo se describe brevemente el uso previsto del V-Drive. También se incluyen avisos
pertinentes a las instrucciones en otros párrafos. De esta manera se pretende avisar al usuario
de un eventual mal uso del V-Drive.
• El V-Drive es apto para su uso en interiores y exteriores.
• El V-Drive está diseñado y fabricado exclusivamente para ayudar en el transporte de una (1)
persona con un peso máximo de 135 kg (versión estándar) o 200 kg (versión resistente).
• V-Drive debe operarla exclusivamente un auxiliar, no el mismo usuario.
• Consulte todos los datos técnicos y las limitaciones del V-Drive en el capítulo 6.
• La garantía de este producto se basa en el uso y mantenimiento normales descritos en este
manual. La garantía se invalida si el producto sufre cualquier daño causado por un uso
indebido o falta de mantenimiento.
2.2
Instrucciones generales de seguridad
Tener en cuenta las siguientes advertencias durante su utilización:
• No exponer el V-Drive a lluvias o nevadas fuertes, a condiciones húmedas, o a la luz del sol.
• Al conectar o desconectar la batería del motor o el cargador, asegurarse de que la
alimentación al cargador y al panel de control V-Drive esté apagada.
• El V-Drive ha pasado por pruebas de compatibilidad electromagnética en vehículos típicos y
representativos, y cumplen con los estándares EMC adecuados (EN 12184: 2014, ISO7176-
21: 209). Aun así, las fuentes de campos electromagnéticos pueden llegar a influir la
capacidad de conducción del V-Drive, como los campos de los teléfonos móviles,
generadores eléctricos o grandes fuentes de energía. Por otro lado, los componentes
electrónicos en el V-Drive pueden también afectar otros aparatos electrónicos, como
sistemas de alarma en las tiendas y puertas automáticas. Por tanto, se recomienda
comprobar regularmente que la silla de ruedas y el V-Drive no presenten daños o desgastes,
ya que esto podría agravar la interferencia.
• Asegurarse de que el V-Drive está instalado lo más lejos posible de la parte trasera de la silla
de ruedas, ya que es más cómodo para el auxiliar.
AVISO
Para silla de ruedas con cables de freno para auxiliares:
Las palancas de freno para auxiliares deben retirarse antes de instalar el panel de control
V-Drive. Si, debido a ello, la silla de ruedas se queda sin frenos de estacionamiento,
entonces se deberán instalar frenos de estacionamiento en la silla de ruedas.

ruedas con el V-Drive si no se han leído detenidamente y entendido completamente todas
las instrucciones.
• Asegurarse de que el dispositivo anticaídas en la silla de ruedas se ha rebajado.
• En caso de tener dudas o preguntas, contacte con su distribuidor especializado local,
proveedor de cuidados o asesor técnico para recibir asesoramiento.
3.1
Montaje del V-Drive en la silla de ruedas
3.1.1 Instalación del panel de control
1. Empujar el panel de control (1) para retirarlo de la
abrazadera (2).
2. Aflojar ambos tornillos (3) de la abrazadera y posicionarla
alrededor del tubo del mango de la silla de ruedas. Utilizar
el anillo de goma (4) si el tubo de la silla de ruedas es
demasiado delgado.
3. Ajustar la abrazadera alrededor del mango de la silla de
ruedas apretando ambos tornillos.
4. Volver a deslizar el panel de control (1) en la abrazadera.
3.1.2 Instalación de las garras de soporte
1. Instalar ambas garras de soporte en el tubo horizontal
inferior de la silla de ruedas, justo detrás de los
acoplamientos de la cruceta (5).
2. Fijar la correa (6) entre las garras de soporte.
3. Asegurarse (7) de que los tornillos estén lo
suficientemente apretados y de que no giren en el tubo.
3.1.3 Instalación del módulo V-Drive
1. Deslizar la barra telescópica (8) a través de la parte delantera del módulo V-Drive. Aflojar la
perilla estrellada (9) en la barra y ajustar a la longitud correcta.
2. Apretar las perillas de la barra y de la parte delantera del módulo V-Drive (10).
3. Colocar los dos extremos de la barra en la parte trasera de las garras de soporte, y luego
empujar el módulo V-Drive hacia delante hasta que se quede fijado en su posición.
4. Conectar el cable del módulo V-Drive debajo de la terminal (11).
5. Colocar el lazo superior de la cinta de levantamiento alrededor del mango opuesto a la
terminal (12).

3.1.4 Instalación de la batería
1. Colocar la batería en la bandeja como se muestra en la foto.
2. Asegurar la batería empujándola totalmente hacia dentro. Se
oirá un clic.
3.2
Desmontaje del V-Drive para su transporte
1.
Apagar el V-Drive.
2.
Desconectar el módulo V-Drive del panel de control (§3.1.3, 11).
3.
Retirar la cinta de levantamiento del mango (§3.1.3, 12).
4.
Retirar la batería de la bandeja tirando del asa de la batería y
presionando simultáneamente el botón «PUSH» en la parte
inferior de la batería (13).
5.
Tirar hacia arriba de la correa (§3.1.2, 6) para desbloquear la
barra telescópica (§3.1.3, 8). Sujetar el V-Drive y empujar la silla
de ruedas hacia delante para que la barra telescópica salga de
las garras de soporte. Retirar el módulo V-Drive de la silla de
ruedas.
6.
Colocar todos los objetos en la bolsa de viaje suministrada para evitar que se dañen.
7.
Si fuera necesario o deseado, ahora se puede plegar la silla de ruedas para su
transporte.
3.3 Manejo del V-Drive cuando no está en uso
Cuando se quiera empujar la silla de ruedas manualmente y no se quiera
usar el V-Drive, mantener el módulo V-Drive fuera del suelo levantando
el lazo rojo de la cinta de levantamiento y colocándolo en el mango.
La batería suministrada con el V-Drive está clasificada como segura para su transporte
aéreo de conformidad con la provisión especial A67 de IATA.

3.4
Funciones del panel de control

• Siempre empezar a conducir con la velocidad MÁS BAJA.
A. Botón de Apagado/Encendido
Presionar brevemente este botón para apagar/encender el V-
Drive. El botón se encenderá con una luz verde cuando el V-Drive
esté activado.
B. Indicador de carga de la batería
El indicador proporciona una estimación de la capacidad restante
de la batería. Cuando el indicador parpadee, recargar la batería lo
antes posible para evitar que se apague.
C. Botón marcha atrás
Presionar este botón para moverse hacia atrás. La luz indicará que
se ha activado la marcha atrás.
D. Botón marcha adelante
Presionar este botón para moverse hacia delante. La luz indicará que se ha activado la
marcha adelante.
E. Dial de velocidad
Determina la velocidad máxima del V-Drive. Girar el
dial hacia la derecha para incrementar la velocidad
máxima, o a la izquierda para reducirla.
F. Palanca de aceleración
Apretar la palanca propulsar el V-Drive. Cuanto más
se apriete la palanca, más rápido irá el V-Drive. Soltar
la palanca para parar el V-Drive.
G. Perilla exterior
Utilizar esta perilla para ajustar el ángulo del panel de
control.
3.5 Estado de la batería y su recarga
Riesgo de lesiones o daños por incendio
• Usar exclusivamente el cargador de batería suministrado con el V-Drive. La utilización de
otro cargador puede llegar a ser peligroso.
• El cargador de batería está diseñado exclusivamente para cargar las baterías suministradas
con el V-Drive, y no deben utilizarse para cargar otras baterías.
• No modificar ninguna de las piezas suministradas como cables, baterías, conectores o
cargadores de batería. No abrir o cambiar nunca la batería o los puntos de conexión.
• Proteger la batería y el cargador de batería de las llamas, temperaturas altas y bajas (véase
el capítulo 6), humedad, luz del sol e impactos fuertes (p. ej. caídas). NO utilizar la batería
en estos casos.
• Recargar la batería en el interior con el cargador de batería, en una zona bien ventilada, y
fuera del alcance de los niños.
PRECAUCIÓN
AVISO
Al cambiar al V-Drive, habrá una demora de 2 segundos antes de que la silla de ruedas se
empiece a mover.

Riesgo de daños
• La autodescarga de la batería y la corriente de reposo de los usuarios conectados consumen
lentamente la carga de la batería. La batería puede sufrir daños irreparables si se descarga
completamente. Por tanto, asegurarse de que se recargue a tiempo:
o Con uso intensivo (largas distancias, uso diario): Recargar inmediatamente después de
su uso. No interrumpir el ciclo de carga.
o Con uso normal (distancias cortas, diariamente o un par de veces a la semana):
Recargar la batería cuando el indicador muestre un 50% de descarga. No interrumpir
el ciclo de carga.
o Con poco uso o almacenamiento: Recargar una vez a la semana. No interrumpir el ciclo
de carga.
• Consultar las condiciones de almacenamiento y mantenimiento en los capítulos 4 y 6.
• Sólo desconectar el cargador de batería cuando la batería está completamente cargada.
• No cargar la batería a temperaturas inferiores a -10°C. Mover la batería a un lugar más
caluroso y comenzar a cargar.
• Mantener el punto de conexión del cargador de batería libre de polvo o cualquier otro tipo de
suciedad.
• Si hubiera algún problema que impida cargar la batería según las instrucciones siguientes,
póngase en contacto con su distribuidor especializado.
• Si no se usa el V-Drive durante un periodo de tiempo largo, deberá seguir recargándose por
lo menos cada semana para mantener la batería utilizable y evitar que se dañe.
Para cargar la batería:
1.
Apagar el V-Drive.
2.
Sacar la batería de la bandeja como se describe en §3.2.
3.
Conectar PRIMERO el cargador de batería a una toma de corriente de 230V CA. Conectar
el cargador de batería directamente, sin cable de extensión, a la red eléctrica (sin
temporizador).
4.
Enchufar el adaptador al punto de carga de la batería.
5.
El LED del cargador se iluminará con una luz naranja para indicar que se están recargando
las baterías.
6.
La luz LED naranja se volverá verde cuando se haya completado la recarga.
7.
Desconectar el cargador de batería.
8.
Retirar el cargador de batería de la toma de corriente, dejar que se enfríe, y almacenar en
el bolsillo del cargador.
9.
Encender el V-Drive. El indicador de carga de la batería debe mostrar que la batería está
completamente recargada.
Se recomiendo seguir recargando durante un par de horas después de que el LED se vuelva
verde. Así se mantendrá y se incrementará la capacidad de las baterías. Utilizando el cargador
suministrado, el tiempo de carga es aproximadamente 8 horas, pero para asegurar un
rendimiento óptima, se recomienda un ciclo de recarga de 12 horas. No recargar las baterías por
más de 24 horas.
PRECAUCIÓN
Una vez cargada al máximo, el cargador de batería cargará lentamente la batería para
asegurar un alcance óptimo.
No dejar el cargador conectado a la batería después de desconectarlo de la red eléctrica.
Esto ocasionará una pérdida de carga temporal y una reducción del alcance de conducción.
Se recomienda también desconectar el cargador de batería de la red eléctrica cuando no
se está utilizando.

El LED del cargador también se iluminará de color verde si el cargador está encendido pero no
está conectado a las baterías.
3.6
Ajuste de la altura del módulo V-
Drive
La altura del módulo V-Drive se puede ajustar en
un rango de 8 cm (5 escalones):
1. Retirar el módulo V-Drive de la silla de
ruedas como se describe en §3.2 .
2. Retirar la unión de tornillo y tuerca (15).
3. Deslizar el soporte del tubo telescópico
(16) arriba/abajo sobre el bloque de
acoplamiento hasta alcanzar la altura
deseada.
4. Volver a colocar la conexión tuerca-tornillo
y fijarla firmemente (15).
5. Volver a acoplar el módulo V-Drive a la silla de ruedas según §3.1.3 .

Mantenimiento
Un mantenimiento regular asegura que el V-Drive permanezca en perfecto estado. Para
consultar el manual de mantenimiento, visitar el sitio web de Vermeiren:

Riesgo de lesiones y daños
Cualquier reparación o cambios sólo pueden llevarse a cabo por personal debidamente
cualificado y sólo pueden utilizarse piezas de recambio Vermeiren originales.
La última página de este manual contiene un formulario de registro para que el distribuidor
especializado pueda registrar cada mantenimiento.
Antes de cada uso
Inspeccionar los siguientes aspectos:
• Estado de la batería: Cambiar la batería cuando sea necesario, véase § 3.5.
• Todas las piezas: presentes, sin daños ni desgastes y limpias.
• Condición general.
Ponerse en contacto con el distribuidor especializado para posibles reparaciones o sustitución
de piezas.
Anualmente o más regularmente
El V-Drive debe pasar por inspección y mantenimiento realizados por el distribuidor especializado
por lo menos una vez al año, o más a menudo. La frecuencia mínima de mantenimiento depende
de la frecuencia de uso y debe, por tanto, acordarse mutuamente con el distribuidor
especializado.
4.1
Limpieza
Limpiar todas las piezas rígidas del scooter con un paño húmedo (no empapado). Si fuera
necesario, utilizar un jabón suave que sea apto para limpiar superficies barnizadas y sintéticas.
4.2
Reutilizar
Antes de reutilizar el V-Drive, hacer que pase por una inspección y un mantenimiento según las
instrucciones en este capítulo.
4.3
Vida útil prevista
El V-Drive está diseñado para tener un promedio de vida útil de 5 años. Dependiendo de la
frecuencia de uso, circunstancias de conducción y mantenimiento, la vida útil del V-Drive
incrementará o disminuirá.
4.4
Fin de vida útil
Al final de la vida útil, deberá desechar el V-Drive siguiendo las leyes medioambientales de su
localidad. Para transportar materiales reciclables del V-Drive de manera más cómoda, se
recomienda que se desmonte primero. Normalmente, las baterías se eliminan aparte.

5.1
Anomalías de conducción
Este párrafo enumera una serie de problemas con soluciones posibles. Si el problema persiste o
se encuentra con otros problemas no enumerados aquí, contactar con su distribuidor
especializado.
1.
La silla de ruedas no se mueve cuando se aprieta la palanca de aceleración.
•
Comprobar que el V-Drive esté encendido.
•
Comprobar que la batería esté completamente cargada.
•
Comprobar que la conexión entre la batería y el motor es correcta.
•
Comprobar que no estén aplicados lo frenos de la silla de ruedas.
•
Comprobar que la rueda motriz esté en contacto con el suelo.

Es difícil de empujar la silla de ruedas manualmente.

Comprobar que no estén aplicados lo frenos de la silla de ruedas.

Levantar el módulo V-Drive del suelo (§3.3).

En caso de un posible problema, se mostrará un código de sistema mediante el LED parpadeante
del extremo derecho del indicador de carga de la batería.
La siguiente tabla contiene todos los códigos de sistema posibles. Algunos problemas los puede
resolver el usuario. Para el resto de problemas resaltados en gris, consultar con un distribuidor
especializado al respecto.

Montaż V-Drive do wózka
3.1.1 Montaż konsoli kierowniczej
1. Popchnąć konsolę kierowniczą (1) do przodu, aby zdjąć ją

Popis
Pohon V-Drive je konstruován tak, aby pomáhal asistentům invalidního vozíku v náročných
situacích, jako je jízda do svahu či kopce. Pohon vyvíjí přídavnou sílu, která pomáhá s tlačením.
Pohon V-Drive je kompatibilní s celou řadou invalidních vozíků a několika šířkami sedadel díky
dvěma dostupným verzím: standardní verzi (hmotnost uživatele max. 135 kg) a robustní verzi
(hmotnost uživatele max. 200 kg).
1.1 Kompatibilita
Pohon V-Drive je kompatibilní s invalidními vozíky, které splňují tato kritéria:
• se vzdáleností 37 – 50 cm mezi vnějšími okraji trubek. Ta je obvykle (ale ne vždy) stejná
jako šířka sedadla invalidního vozíku;
• s průměrem kruhové trubky 22 – 25 mm.
Před provozem pohonu V-Drive ověřte technické údaje a omezení zamýšleného použití. Viz
kapitola 6.

Riziko zranění a poškození
• Neinstalujte, neudržujte ani nepoužívejte tento výrobek, pokud jste si nepřečetli a plně
nepochopili všechny pokyny v tomto návodu a všech souvisejících návodech týkajících se
invalidního vozíku vybaveného tímto zařízením.
• Za žádných okolností se nepokoušejte otevřít nebo rozebrat pohon V-Drive – uvnitř nejsou
žádné součásti vyžadující údržbu uživatele.
• V případě pochybností nebo dotazů bez obav požádejte svého místního specializovaného
prodejce, poskytovatele péče či technického poradce, aby vám pomohl.
2.1
Určené použití
V tomto odstavci je uveden stručný popis zamýšleného použití tohoto pohonu V-Drive. Dále jsou
k pokynům v dalších odstavcích přidána příslušná varování. Tímto způsobem chceme upozornit
na případné chybné použití, k němuž může dojít.
• Tento pohon V-Drive je vhodný pro domácí a venkovní použití.
• Pohon V-Drive je konstruován a vyroben výhradně k přepravě jedné (1) osoby o max.
hmotnosti 135 kg (standardní verze) nebo 200 kg (robustní verze).
• Pohon V-Drive je určen pouze pro obsluhu asistentem, nikoli vlastním uživatelem.
• Přečtěte si všechny technické detaily a omezení tohoto pohonu V-Drive v kapitole 6.
• Záruka na tento výrobek je založena na běžném použití a údržbě, jak je to popsáno v tomto
návodu. V případě poškození výrobku způsobeného nesprávným použitím či absencí údržby
tato záruka zanikne.
2.2
Obecné bezpečnostní pokyny
Při použití mějte na paměti následující obecná upozornění:
• U pohonu V-Drive nesmí dojít k jeho vystavení hustému sněžení či dešti, mokru ani přímému
slunečnímu svitu.
• Při zapojování / odpojování baterií od motoru nebo nabíječky zajistěte, aby bylo vypnuto
napájení nabíječky i ovládací konzola pohonu V-Drive.
• Pohon V-Drive byl odzkoušen z hlediska elektromagnetické kompatibility na typických,
reprezentativních vozících a odpovídá příslušným normám EMC (CZ 12184: 2014, ISO 7176-
21: 209). Nicméně výkon pohonu V-Drive mohou narušovat zdroje elektromagnetických polí,
jako jsou mobilní telefony, elektrogenerátory či jiné vysoce výkonné zdroje energie.
Elektroniku pohonu V-Drive však mohou narušovat i další elektronické přístroje, jako jsou
poplašné systémy v obchodech a automatické dveře. Doporučujeme proto pravidelně
kontrolovat invalidní vozík i pohon V-Drive s ohledem na poškození a opotřebení, protože
tyto stavy mohou zesilovat rušení.
• Zajistěte, aby byl pohon V-Drive nainstalován co nejdále v zadní části invalidního vozíku, kde
je to pro asistenta pohodlné.
VAROVÁNÍ
Pro invalidní vozíky s bowdenovými brzdami pro asistenta:
Před montáží ovládací konzoly pohonu V-Drive musejí být odebrány bowdenové brzdy pro
asistenta. Zůstane-li z tohoto důvodu invalidní vozík bez parkovacích brzd, musejí být na
invalidní vozík upevněny samostatné parkovací brzdy.

Riziko zranění
• Nejprve si přečtěte předchozí kapitoly a seznamte se se zamýšleným použitím. Invalidní vozík
NIKDY nepoužívejte s pohonem V-Drive, dokud si nepřečtete všechny pokyny a
neporozumíte jim.
• Ověřte, že byla na invalidním vozíku zaktivována prevence převrácení.
• V případě pochybností či dotazů bez obav požádejte svého místního odborného prodejce,
poskytovatele péče nebo technického poradce, aby vám pomohl.
3.1
Sestavení pohonu V-Drive na invalidním vozíku
3.1.1 Instalace ovládací konzoly
1. Zatlačením ovládací konzoly (1) dopředu ji vyjměte ze
svorky (2).
2. Povolte oba šrouby (3) svorky a umístěte ji okolo trubky
držadla invalidního vozíku. Je-li trubka invalidního vozíku
příliš tenká, použijte kruhovou gumu (4).
3. Utáhněte svorku okolo držadla invalidního vozíku utažením
obou šroubů.
4. Nasuňte konzolu (1) zpět na svorku.
3.1.2 Instalace držáků podpěry
1. Nainstalujte oba držáky na dolní vodorovnou trubku
invalidního vozíku hned za příčná uchycení (5).
2. Upevněte popruh (6) mezi držáky.
3. Ověřte, že jsou šrouby (7) dostatečně utaženy a že se
neotáčejí na trubce.
3.1.3 Instalace modulu pohonu V-Drive
1. Prosuňte teleskopickou tyč skrz přední konec modulu pohonu V-Drive. Povolte hvězdicový
knoflík (9) na tyči a seřiďte správnou délku.
2. Utáhněte knoflíky na tyči a na přední straně modulu pohonu V-Drive (10).
3. Umístěte dva konce tyče na zadní část držáků a pak zatlačte modul pohonu V-Drive dopředu
do aretované polohy.
4. Zapojte kabel z modulu pohonu V-Drive do spodní části ovladače (11).
5. Horní smyčku zvedacího popruhu umístěte kolem tlačné rukojeti na opačné straně od
ovladače (12).

3.1.4 Instalace bateriového modulu
1. Vložte bateriový modul do bateriové přihrádky, viz fotografie.
2. Zajistěte bateriový modul jeho úplným zatlačením dovnitř.
Ozve se zřetelný zvuk aretace.
3.2
Demontáž pohonu V-Drive pro přepravu
1.
Vypněte pohon V-Drive.
2.
Odpojte modul pohonu V-Drive od ovládací konzole (odst. 3.1.3,
11).
3.
Sejměte zvedací popruh z tlačné rukojeti (odst. 3.1.3, 12).
4.
Vyjměte bateriový modul z přihrádky tažením za rukojeť
bateriového modulu a zároveň držením stisknutého tlačítka
PUSH na spodní straně bateriového modulu (13).
5.
Vytažením popruhu (odst. 3.1.2, 6) odemkněte teleskopickou
tyč (odst. 3.1.3, 8). Držte pohon V-Drive a posuňte invalidní
vozík trochu dopředu, aby teleskopická tyč vyjela ven z držáků.
Odeberte modul pohonu V-Drive z invalidního vozíku.
6.
Vložte všechny položky do dodané přenášecí tašky, aby nedošlo k jejich poškození.
7.
Je-li to potřeba/požadováno, lze nyní invalidní vozík složit pro přepravu.
3.3 Manipulace s pohonem V-Drive, když není používán
Když chcete invalidní vozík tlačit ručně a nechcete používat pohon V-
Drive, odpoutejte modul pohonu V-Drive od země zvednutím červené
smyčky na zvedacím popruhu a jejím umístěním na tlačnou rukojeť.
Baterie dodané s pohonem V-Drive se klasifikují jako bezpečné pro leteckou dopravu,
protože splňují zvláštní ustanovení A67 asociace IATA.

3.4
Funkce ovládací konzoly
Riziko zranění
• Jízdu vždy začínejte na NEJNIŽŠÍ rychlosti.
A. Tlačítko ZAP./VYP.
Krátkým stisknutím tohoto tlačítka pohon V-Drive zapnete/vypnete.
Po zapnutí pohonu V-Drive se tlačítko rozsvítí zeleně.
B. Ukazatel nabití baterie
Ukazatel poskytuje odhad zbývající kapacity baterie. Když
ukazatel bliká, dobijte baterii co nejdříve, abyste nedošlo k vypnutí
pohonu.
C. Tlačítko jízdy dozadu
Stisknutím tohoto tlačítka jeďte dozadu. Světlo bude indikovat
aktivaci pohybu dozadu.
D. Tlačítko jízdy dopředu
Stisknutím tohoto tlačítka jeďte dopředu. Světlo bude indikovat
aktivaci pohybu dopředu.
E. Regulace rychlosti
Určete maximální rychlost pohonu V-Drive. Otočením
regulace rychlosti ve směru hodinových ručiček max.
rychlost zvýšíte, v opačném směru max. rychlost
snížíte.
F. Páka akcelerace
Stisknutím páky zaktivujete pohon V-Drive. Čím více
je páka stisknuta, tím rychleji pohon V-Drive pojede.
Uvolněním páky se pohon V-Drive zastaví.
G. Vnější knoflík
Tento knoflík slouží ke změně úhlu ovládací konzoly.
3.5 Stav a nabíjení baterií
Riziko zranění anebo poškození kvůli požáru
• Používejte pouze nabíječku baterií dodanou s pohonem V-Drive. Použití jakékoli jiné
nabíječky může být nebezpečné.
• Nabíječka baterií je určena pouze k nabíjení baterií dodaných s pohonem V-Drive, nikoli
k nabíjení jakýchkoli jiných baterií.
• Neupravujte žádné dodané díly, jako jsou kabely, zástrčky a nabíječka baterií. Nikdy
neotevírejte ani neměňte baterii nebo přípojky.
• Chraňte baterii a nabíječku baterií před plameny, vysokými a nízkými teplotami (viz kapitola
6), vlhkostí, slunečním zářením a silnými otřesy (např. při upuštění). Pokud již k tomu došlo,
baterii NEPOUŽÍVEJTE.
• Baterii nabíjejte pomocí nabíječky baterií v dobře větrané místnosti mimo dosah dětí.
POZOR
VAROVÁNÍ
Při zapnutí pohonu V-Drive dojde k 2sekundovému zpoždění, než se začne invalidní vozík
pohybovat.

Riziko poškození
• Kapacita baterie se pomalu snižuje samovybíjením baterie a klidovým proudem připojených
uživatelů. Je-li baterie zcela vybita, může dojít k jejímu nevratnému poškození. Proto
zajistěte, aby byla baterie včas nabita:
o Při intenzivním použití (dlouhé vzdálenosti, denně): Nabijte ji ihned po použití. Nabíjecí
cyklus nepřerušujte.
o Při průměrném použití (krátké vzdálenosti, denně či několikrát týdně): Nabijte ji, když
indikátor baterie ukazuje 50% kapacitu. Nabíjecí cyklus nepřerušujte.
o Při občasném použití či skladování: Nabijte ji jednou týdně. Nabíjecí cyklus
nepřerušujte.
• Přečtěte si podmínky skladování a pokyny k údržbě v kapitolách 4 a 6.
• Nabíječku baterií odpojte pouze v případě, že je baterie zcela nabita.
• Baterie nenabíjejte při teplotě nižší než -10°C. Dejte baterii na teplejší místo a pak zahajte
nabíjení.
• Přípojku pro nabíječku baterií chraňte před prachem a jinými nečistotami.
• V případě jakýchkoli problémů, když nelze baterii nabíjet podle následujících pokynů, se
obraťte na svého odborného prodejce.
• Nebudete-li pohon V-Drive delší dobu používat, je přesto potřeba alespoň jednou týdně nabít
jeho baterii, aby se nepoškodila a uchovala plně provozuschopná.
Nabíjení baterie:
1.
Vypněte pohon V-Drive.
2.
Vyjměte bateriový modul z přihrádky podle popisu v odst. 3.2.
3.
NEJPRVE zapojte nabíječku baterií do el. zásuvky 220 V~. Nabíječku baterií zapojte přímo
(bez prodlužovacího kabelu) do el. zásuvky (bez časového spínače).
4.
Adaptér zapojte do nabíjecího bodu bateriového modulu.
5.
Dioda LED nabíječky se rozsvítí oranžově a tím indikuje nabíjení baterií.
6.
Po dokončení nabíjení změní dioda LED barvu z oranžové na zelenou.
7.
Odpojte nabíječku baterií.
8.
Vytáhněte nabíječku baterií ze zásuvky, nechte ji vychladnout a pak ji uložte do kapsy pro
nabíječku.
9.
Zapněte pohon V-Drive. Indikátor nabití baterie musí ukazovat, že je baterie plně nabitá.
Doporučujeme nechat baterii nabíjet ještě několik hodin po změně barvy diody LED nabíječky na
zelenou. Tím dojde k udržení či malému zvýšení kapacity baterií. S dodanou nabíječkou trvá
nabíjení přibl. 8 hodin, ale pro zajištění optimálního výkonu baterie doporučujeme 12hodinový
nabíjecí cyklus. Naterie nenabíjejte déle než 24 hodin.
Dioda LED nabíječky svítí zeleně také v případě, když je nabíječka zapnutá ale nepřipojená
k bateriím.
POZOR
Když je baterie plně nabita, bude ji nabíječka stále trochu nabíjet pro zajištění optimálního
dosahu.
Po odpojení nabíječky od el. sítě ji nenechávejte připojenou k baterii. To by způsobilo odběr
el. proudu z baterie a tím i snížení dojezdu. Není-li nabíječka baterií používána,
doporučujeme ji také odpojit od el. sítě.

3.6
Seřízení výšky modulu pohonu V-Drive
Výšku modulu pohonu V-Drive lze seřídit
v rozsahu 8 cm (5 kroků):
1. Odeberte modul pohonu V-Drive
z invalidního vozíku podle popisu v odst.
3.2.
2. Demontujte spoj šroub-matice (15).
3. Posuňte podpěru teleskopické trubky (16)
nahoru/dolů po upevňovacím bloku na
požadovanou výšku.
4. Namontujte a řádně utáhněte spoj šroub-
matice (15).
5. Opět nasaďte modul pohonu V-Drive na
invalidní vozík podle odst. 3.1.3.

Riziko zranění a poškození
Opravy a výměny smějí provádět pouze vyškolené osoby. Přitom je třeba používat pouze
originální náhradní díly společnosti Vermeiren.

Před každým použitím
Zkontrolujte následující body:
• stav baterie: v případě potřeby nabijte baterii, viz odst. 3.5;
• všechny díly: přítomné, nepoškozené a neopotřebené;

Ročně nebo častěji
Alespoň jednou ročně nebo častěji nechte pohon V-Drive u odborného prodejce ke kontrole a

Životnost výrobku

jízdních podmínkách a údržbě se životnost tohoto pohonu V-Drive prodlouží nebo zkrátí.

Likvidace výrobku
Po skončení životnosti musí být pohon V-Drive zlikvidován podle místní legislativy pro životní
prostředí. Nejlepším způsobem likvidace je rozebrání pohonu V-Drive pro usnadnění přepravy
recyklovatelných součástí. Sběr baterií obvykle probíhá zvlášť.

Riziko zranění a poškození
• NIKDY se nepokoušejte pohon V-Drive sami opravit.

Jízdní anomálie
Tento odstavec uvádí řadu problémů s možnými řešeními. Pokud problém přetrvává nebo se objeví
jiné problémy, které zde nejsou uvedeny, obraťte se na odborného prodejce.

Po stisknutí páky akcelerátoru se invalidní vozík nepohybuje.

Ověřte, že je pohon V-Drive zapnutý.
•
Ověřte, až je baterie plně nabitá.

Ověřte, že je mezi baterií a motorem správné zapojení.

Ověřte, že nejsou na invalidním vozíku aktivovány brzdy.
•
Ověřte, že je hnací kolo v kontaktu se zemí.

Odpoutejte modul pohonu V-Drive od země (odst. 3.3).

Zkuste měnit rychlost regulací rychlosti.

Dobijte baterie (je-li pohon příliš pomalý).

Ověřte, že nejsou na invalidním vozíku aktivovány brzdy.

Systémové kódy
V případě možného problému se systémový kód zobrazí blikáním diody LED zcela vlevo na
indikátoru nabití baterie.
Možné systémové kódy jsou uvedeny v následující tabulce. Některé problémy můžete vyřešit
sami. Při všech problémech označených šedě se poraďte se svým specializovaným prodejcem.
