When using electrical appliances, especially

cautions should always be taken, including the

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER – Any appliance is electri-
cally live, even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death or injury by
electric shock:
1. Do not place or store appliance where it
could fall into a tub or sink.
2. Do not use appliance while bathing or in the
shower.
3. Do not place appliance in, or drop into water
or other liquids.
4. If appliance has fallen into water, do not
reach for it. Drain the water, let the unit dry,
turn off the unit and then replace the batteries.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns,

1. Never leave a plugged-in appliance

2. This appliance should not be used by, on,

air openings may be blocked. Keep the air

8. Do not use the appliance with a damaged
or broken comb or with teeth missing from
the blades, as injury may result. Before each
use, make certain the blades are aligned
properly and oiled.
9. Do not use the appliance outdoors or where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. This appliance is not a toy. Keep away
from children.
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by
pushing in and down toward the bottom of the
trimmer.
2. Align two AA batteries, with the positive and
negative positions indicated inside the battery
compartment. Insert the negative end of each
battery first so it will slip easily into position,
being careful not to bend the clips.
3. Return the battery cover to its original position
by pushing it in and up until you hear a small
click as it locks into place.
4. Always purchase the correct size and grade
of battery most suitable for the intended use.
5. Replace all batteries at the same time.
6. Clean the battery contacts and also those of
the device prior to battery installation.
7. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly
with regard to polarity (+ and -).
8. Remove batteries from equipment, which is
not to be used for an extended period of time.
9. Remove used batteries promptly.
10. Do not mix old and new batteries.
11. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-
zinc), or rechargeable (nickel cadmium or
nickel metal hydride) batteries.
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES (OIL INCLUDED)
1. Oil the trimmer once a month.
2. Turn the trimmer on.
3. Hold and point the blades downward.
4. Spread one drop of oil across the blades.
5. Turn the trimmer off and wipe away any
excess oil.
NOTE:
1. Do not over-oil the blades as this can dam-
age the motor.
2. Do not oil the motor bearing as it is perma-
nently lubricated.
3. KEEP OIL AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
BLADE CARE
1. Brush away any loose hair that collects in
the blades.
2. Store the trimmer in a safe location.
3. Sharpen or replace both blades at the
same time when servicing your trimmer.
4. Only use Conair® blades with this trimmer
(see Parts and Accessories form).
5. Use trimmer for facial hair only.
REMOVING BLADE SET
This trimmer comes with a detachable
blade set, which makes maintenance and
replacement easy.
To remove the blade set:
• Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position.
• With the power switch facing you, press the
blade on the teeth and in the direction away
from you until they pop out of the housing.
TO REPLACE THE BLADE SET
• Looking at the trimmer from above, you will
see a notch at the back of the trimmer.
• There is a tab on the blade set on the bottom,
opposite the blades.
Position that tab so that it fits into the notch
inside the trimmer head.
Push the blade set down onto the trimmer
head until it snaps into place.
OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. Start with a clean,
slightly damp beard
(NOT WET).
2. Comb through your
beard in the direction it
grows naturally.
3. Begin under your jawline.
4. Trim from your chin upward toward your ears.
5. Finish upper outline across cheeks.
TRIMMING YOUR BEARD
1. On the longest
setting, begin trim-
ming your beard using
smooth, even strokes.
Start with your side-
burns and work downward toward your chin.
(Never attempt to trim against the natural
growth of your beard because the hair will be
cut too short.)
2. If you decide you want a closer trim, adjust
the 5-position comb attachment to a
shorter setting and go over your beard until
you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
Attach a jawline comb to the trimmer, hold
the trimmer in an upright position and begin
trimming under your jawline, using short,
even strokes.
TRIMMING YOUR MUSTACHE
1. Start with a clean,
slightly damp mustache
(NOT WET).
2. Comb through your
mustache in the direction
it grows.
3. Trim your mustache from the top down; fi n-
ish by outlining the bottom of your mustache.
4. Start with the 5-position attachment comb
on the longest setting, as you can always
go back and shorten the length as desired.
5. Use the detailing blade for fi nal touches
and facial sculpting.
NOSE & EAR TRIMMER
1. Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position.
2. To attach the nose and ear trimmer: Hold
the back of the trimmer facing you, insert the
bottom pin of the trimmer attachment into
the open space located inside the trimmer
handle. Press and snap attachment into place.
3. Use trimmer in a circular motion.
4. To detach the nose and ear trimmer: Hold
the trimmer facing you, press your thumb on
the top, front part of the trimmer head, and
snap it off.

PARA USO DOMÉSTICO

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
1. Presione y deslice la cubierta del compar-
timiento de la(s) pila(s) hacia abajo para abrirlo.
2. Instale dos pilas AA, respetando los signos de
polaridad. Introduzca el polo negativo de cada
pila primero, teniendo cuidado de no doblar las
patas de contacto.
3. Cierre la cubierta del compartimiento de las
pilas, empujando hasta que haga clic.
4. No utilice pilas que no sean del tamaño ni de
la potencia indicados para uso con este aparato.
5. Cambie todas las pilas al mismo tiempo.
6. Limpie los contactos del aparato y los de la(s)
pila(s) antes de instalar esta(s).
7. Siempre respete los signos de polaridad (+/-)
al instalar las pilas.
8. Retire las pilas si no va a usar el aparato por
un largo período de tiempo.
9. Retire las pilas gastadas lo antes posible.
10. No junte pilas nuevas con pilas usadas.
11. No junte pilas alcalinas con pilas regulares
(carbono-zinc) o pilas/baterías recargables (NiCd
o Ni-MH).

RECORTADORA
LUBRICACIÓN DE LAS CUCHILLAS
(ACEITE INCLUIDO)
1. Lubrique las cuchillas una vez al mes.
2. Encienda el aparato.
3. Sostenga el aparato de manera que las
cuchillas apunten hacia abajo.
4. Vierta una gota de aceite a los largo de las
cuchillas.
5. Apague el aparato y absorba el exceso de
aceite con un papel absorbente.
NOTA:
1. No lubrique demasiado las cuchillas; esto
puede dañar el motor.
2. No lubrique las piezas del motor, las cuales
están lubricadas de por vida.
3. MANTENGA EL ACEITE FUERA DEL
ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS.
LIMPIEZA DE LAS CUCHILLAS
1. Limpie las cuchillas después de cada uso,
usando el cepillo de limpieza provisto.
2. Guarde el aparato en un lugar seguro.
3. Si necesita cambiar o afi lar las cuchillas,
cerciórese de cambiar/afi lar las dos cuchillas
al mismo tiempo.

solamente.
REMOCIÓN DE LAS CUCHILLAS
Su cortadora está equipada con cuchillas
extraíbles, para facilitar el mantenimiento, la
limpieza, y el reemplazo de las mismas.
Para retirar las cuchillas:
• Asegúrese de que el aparato esté apagado
(“OFF”).
• Sostenga el aparato con el interruptor adel-
ante y empuje las cuchillas hacia arriba para
desencajarlas.
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS CUCHILLAS
• Si observa el aparato desde arriba, verá una
hendidura en la parte posterior de este.
• Hay una lengüeta en la parte inferior del
juego de cuchillas.
Introduzca la lengüeta en la hendidura.
Enganche el juego de cuchillas en su lugar y
presione hacia abajo hasta que encaje.

2. Peine la barba en direc-

3. Empiece debajo de la quijada.

CÓMO CORTAR SU BARBA

dirección del crecimiento natural del pelo.
3. Corte el bigote desde arriba hasta abajo y
luego, de forma a la parte de abajo del bigote.
4. Siempre empiece con el ajuste de longitud
de corte más largo; siempre puede
volver a acortar el pelo usando un ajuste más
corto.
5. Para el acabado y los cortes de precisión,
utilice la cuchilla de acabado.
RECORTADOR PARA
NARIZ/OREJAS
1. Cerciórese de que el aparato está apagado
(“OFF”).
2. Para instalar el recortador para nariz/orejas:
sosteniendo la cortadora verticalmente frente a
su cuerpo, introduzca el “eje” del recortador en
el espacio abierto en el mango de la cortadora.
Presione hasta que encaje.
3. Mueva el recortador en forma circular.
4. Para sacar el recortador para nariz/orejas:
sosteniendo la cortadora verticalmente frente
a su cuerpo, presione con el pulgar la parte
superior delantera del recortador y empuje hasta
que se desprenda.
