Car Rear View Camera User Manual
Thank you for purchasing the CAM-1. Installation of this rear view backup camera system should be
performed by an automotive equipment installation specialist.
Safety:
1. In order to maintain optimal operation, the camera should be cleaned regularly. Remove any dirt,
water droplets, snow, etc. in order to ensure best image quality.
2. Although the camera is an IPX-rated device, it should not be washed with a jet of water under high
pressure as it may damage the camera lens.
3. Keep the camera cables away from the vehicle’s exhaust system, engine or heat-generating
components.
4. The camera is designed to operate on 12V DC voltage. Do not use attempt to connect it to vehicles
that supply 24V DC as it may permanently damage the unit.
5. Specication are subject to change without prior notice.

Installation and Operation Guidelines: (may vary depending on your specic vehicle)
Recommended tools that you may need to complete this installation include a athead and Phillips
screwdrivers, digital multi-meter, wire strippers/cutters, electrical tape, cable ties, double-stick tape
and more depending on your vehicle.
• Make sure your vehicle is turned o and that the parking brake is engaged
• Safely disconnect the vehicle positive (+) and negative (-) battery terminals
• Remove the license plate (if necessary).
• Connect the power cable to the camera power input connector (red).
• Connect the power cable to the reverse light of the vehicle. NOTE: As an alternative, some
aftermarket stereo wiring harnesses have a direct connection to reverse power (+12VDC).
• Connect the video cable to the camera video connector (yellow).
• Extend the video cable to the front of the vehicle and connect it to the video monitor or backup
mirror display.
• After checking all connection, safely reconnect the battery terminals.
• Start the vehicle.
• Put the car in reverse and with brake engaged check if the monitor turns on and displays the rear
video feed.
o If it works, turn the car o.
o If it doesn’t work, recheck all connections and retry. Please note that in order for the
display to show the video feed, it needs a signal to alert the system that the car is in
reverse.
• Once proper operation and alignment has been conrmed, ax the camera (or license plate
camera) to the vehicles frame or license plate, protect and neatly organize wiring/cables using
electrical tape, cable ties, double-stick tape, etc.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY
Before returning your Product for service under this Warranty, please (i) read the instrucon manual carefully and visit our website at www.qfxusa.com for
Product updates and extended support documentaon (e.g., Common Troubleshoong Guides); (ii) if you are sll having trouble with your Product, please
contact the QFX Customer Support Department.
Subject to the terms and condions herein, QFX, Inc. (herein aer called “QFX”) warrants to the original purchaser of the Product
(”Customer) that for the applicable Warranty Period listed below, the Product will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal,
non-commercial use (”Defects”).
Warranty Period encompasses, as listed below, separate “Coverage Periods” for Parts and Labor, each Coverage Period to begin from the original date of
Customer purchase. If Customer returns a defecve Product (or any component thereof) during the applicable Warranty Period, QFX will, at its opon, during
the specified Coverage Periods for Parts and Labor (as applicable either: (i) repair the Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) or (ii) replace the
Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) with a new or refurbished Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof), in either case free of
charge to Customer for Parts and/or Labor (as applicable) during the specified Coverage Period only, and excluding applicable shipping charges (noted
below), for which the Customer is responsible. The foregoing states the Customers exclusive remedy and QFX sole liability for breach of the limited warranty
contained herein.
This warranty covers only normal use. This warranty is not transferable. QFX is not responsible for warranty replacement should the QFX label or logo be
removed or should the product fail to be properly maintained or fail to funcon properly as a result of misuse, abuse, immersion in liquids, improper
installaon, improper shipping, damage caused by disasters such as fire, flood, or service other than by QFX. In addion, this warranty excludes any Product
(or, as applicable, any component thereof) that has been subject to or Defects resulng from: (a) any neglect or misuse by a Customer, an accident, improper
applicaon, violaon of operang instrucons for the Product, any other Customer-induced damage, or the alteraon or removal of any Product serial
number; (b) any modificaon or repair to Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) by any party other than QFX or a party authorized in wring by
QFX; (c) any damage to Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) due to power surges, incorrect electrical voltage, misconnecon to any device, or
malfuncon of any device used with the Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof); (d) cosmec damage to the Product (or, as applicable, any
component thereof) caused by normal wear and tear; (e) shipping damage that occurs while the Product is in transit; (f) damage caused by heat sources,
sunlight, electromagnec condions, or other climac condions or (g) any acts of God.
Product is sold to Customer for personal, non-commercial use only. Product is not warranted for Customer’s commercial or rental use. In addion, Product is
not warranted against failure, and should not be used by Customer for any applicaon where (i) there is a risk that any data stored on Product will be
breached or otherwise compromised, or (ii) the date stored on Product is relied upon for medical or lifesaving applicaons. QFX disclaims any Warranty for
any of the foregoing uses to the fullest extent permied by law. Customer assumes any and all risks associated with such uses of Product, and agrees to
indemnify QFX for any damages claimed against QFX for such uses.
EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND QFX
DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY (i) OF MERCHANTABILITY, (ii) OF FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR (iii) OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO
EVENT WILL QFX BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE
DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, LOSS OR INACCURACY OF ANY DATA OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS,
REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) AND EVEN IF QFX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, QFX
AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO CUSTOMER FOR ACTUAL DIRECT DAMAGES FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE CUMULATIVE PRODUCT
FEES PAID BY THAT CUSTOMER FOR THE PRODUCTS CAUSING THE DAMAGES, IF ANY.
This Warranty gives Customer specific rights, and Customer may also have other rights that vary from jurisdicon to jurisdicon. Warning: Some Products
may contain components that are small enough to be swallowed. Please keep out of reach of children. In order for the return to be processed, you must send
the Product PREPAID to the address below in the original packaging or reasonable substute to prevent damage and include: (1) a dated sales receipt (which
must have a purchase date that falls in the Warranty Period specified in the table below) that indicates the place of purchase, model number of Product, and
amount paid, (2) a detailed descripon of Customer’s problem with Product, (3) Customer’s full name, phone number, and return address, (3) all of the
accessories that came with the Product package must be sent along with the main Product, (4) a cashier’s check or money order payable to QFX, Inc., in the
amount specified for the item in the product table below for return shipping and handling. If in the case you cannot provide a money order or cashiers
check, you can contact The QFX Customer Support Representave to arrange payment via credit card. No returned Product will be shipped back to a PO BOX.
If a returned Product is found to have no problem and/or does not include ALL of the requirements indicated above, it may be returned back to the customer
and will not be processed.

Manual de usuario de la cámara de visión trasera del coche
Gracias por comprar la CAM-1. La instalación de este sistema de cámara retrovisora de visión trasera
debe ser realizada por un especialista en instalación de equipos automotrices.
La seguridad:
1. Para mantener un funcionamiento óptimo, la cámara debe limpiarse regularmente. Elimine la
suciedad, las gotas de agua, la nieve, etc. para garantizar la mejor calidad de imagen.
2. Aunque la cámara es un dispositivo con clasicación IPX, no debe lavarse con un chorro de agua a
alta presión, ya que podría dañar la lente de la cámara.
3. Mantenga los cables de la cámara alejados del sistema de escape del vehículo, el motor o los
componentes que generan calor.
4. La cámara está diseñada para funcionar con un voltaje de 12 V CC. No intente conectarlo a vehículos
que suministren 24 V CC, ya que puede dañar permanentemente la unidad.

Las herramientas recomendadas que puede necesitar para completar esta instalación incluyen
destornilladores de cabeza plana y Phillips, multímetro digital, pelacables/cortadores, cinta aislante,
bridas para cables, cinta adhesiva doble y más, según su vehículo.
• Asegúrese de que su vehículo esté apagado y que el freno de estacionamiento esté puesto
• Desconecte de forma segura los terminales positivo (+) y negativo (-) de la batería del vehículo
• Retire la matrícula (si es necesario).
• Conecte el cable de alimentación al conector de entrada de alimentación de la cámara (rojo).
• Conecte el cable de alimentación a la luz de marcha atrás del vehículo. NOTA: Como alternativa,
algunos arneses de cableado estéreo del mercado de accesorios tienen una conexión directa a la
potencia inversa (+12 VCC).
• Conecte el cable de video al conector de video de la cámara (amarillo).
• Extienda el cable de video al frente del vehículo y conéctelo al monitor de video oa la pantalla
del espejo retrovisor.

de la batería.
• Arrancar el vehículo.
• Ponga el automóvil en reversa y con el freno accionado verique si el monitor se enciende y

o Si funciona, apague el coche.
o Si no funciona, vuelva a vericar todas las conexiones y vuelva a intentarlo. Tenga en
cuenta que para que la pantalla muestre la transmisión de video, necesita una señal para
alertar al sistema de que el automóvil está en reversa.
• Una vez que se haya conrmado el funcionamiento y la alineación correctos, je la cámara (o la
cámara de la placa de matrícula) al marco del vehículo o a la placa de matrícula, proteja y
organice ordenadamente el cableado/los cables con cinta aisladora, bridas para cables, cinta
adhesiva doble, etc.

Merci d'avoir acheté le CAM-1. L'installation de ce système de caméra de recul doit être eectuée par
un spécialiste de l'installation d'équipements automobiles.
Sécurité:
1. An de maintenir un fonctionnement optimal, la caméra doit être nettoyée régulièrement. Enlevez
toute saleté, gouttelettes d'eau, neige, etc. an d'assurer la meilleure qualité d'image.
2. Bien que la caméra soit un appareil classé IPX, elle ne doit pas être lavée avec un jet d'eau à haute
pression car cela pourrait endommager l'objectif de la caméra.
3. Éloignez les câbles de la caméra du système d'échappement du véhicule, du moteur ou des
composants générant de la chaleur.
4. La caméra est conçue pour fonctionner sur une tension continue de 12 V. N'essayez pas de le
connecter à des véhicules alimentés en 24 V CC car cela pourrait endommager l'appareil de manière
permanente.
5. Les spécications sont sujettes à modication sans préavis.

Les outils recommandés dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pour eectuer cette installation comprennent un
tournevis à tête plate et cruciforme, un multimètre numérique, des pinces à dénuder/coupe-l, du ruban
électrique, des attaches de câble, du ruban adhésif double face et plus encore selon votre véhicule.
• Assurez-vous que votre véhicule est éteint et que le frein de stationnement est serré
• Débranchez en toute sécurité les bornes positive (+) et négative (-) de la batterie du véhicule
• Retirez la plaque d'immatriculation (si nécessaire).
• Connectez le câble d'alimentation au connecteur d'entrée d'alimentation de la caméra (rouge).
• Connectez le câble d'alimentation au feu de recul du véhicule. REMARQUE: Comme alternative,
certains faisceaux de câbles stéréo du marché secondaire ont une connexion directe à l'alimenta-
tion inverse (+12VDC).
• Connectez le câble vidéo au connecteur vidéo de la caméra (jaune).
• Étendez le câble vidéo à l'avant du véhicule et connectez-le au moniteur vidéo ou à l'achage du
rétroviseur de recul.
• Après avoir vérié toutes les connexions, rebranchez en toute sécurité les bornes de la batterie.
• Démarrez le véhicule.
• Mettez la voiture en marche arrière et avec le frein serré, vériez si le moniteur s'allume et ache
le ux vidéo arrière.
o Si cela fonctionne, éteignez la voiture.
o Si cela ne fonctionne pas, revériez toutes les connexions et réessayez. Veuillez noter que
pour que l'écran ache le ux vidéo, il a besoin d'un signal pour alerter le système que la
voiture est en marche arrière.
• Une fois le bon fonctionnement et l'alignement conrmés, xez la caméra (ou la caméra de la
plaque d'immatriculation) sur le châssis ou la plaque d'immatriculation du véhicule, protégez et
organisez soigneusement le câblage/les câbles à l'aide de ruban électrique, d'attaches de câble,
de ruban adhésif double face, etc.
