Assembly and Instructions for Use
1. Unpack the product and check to make sure the adaptor is included (Fig 1).
2. This unit is powered by a AC adaptor, which is included or by four “AA” batteries, which
are not included.
3. Attach the AC adaptor jack to the base of the unit and insert the cord into a 120V
household outlet.
4. To install batteries, use a coin to turn the battery compartment door screw located on
the bottom of the product to the open position (Fig. 4). Open the battery compartment
door. Insert four “AA” batteries into the compartment according to the polarity direction
indicated. Close the compartment door, use a coin to turn door screw to the locked
position.
Listening to Nature Sounds
1. Power the unit on by turning the VOLUME knob in the clockwise direction.
2. Press the button of the sound you wish to listen to (Fig 2). The green POWER LED will
indicate the unit is on (Fig 3).
3. To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob (Fig 3) to your desired level.
4. When finished listening to the sounds you may turn them off by turning the VOLUME
knob to the off position (Fig 3).
Note: When the unit is turned on it will always default to the last sound used.
Using the Auto-Timer
When the power is on and you are listening to a nature sound you may set a timer so the
unit will automatically turn off.
1. Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig 3) until the corresponding LED illuminates next
to the time of your choice, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The unit will automatically shut off
after the selected time and the POWER LED (Fig 3) will remain lit showing you it is still
in timer mode. If you choose to listen to another timed sound press the timer button to
select a desired time. Or if you choose to listen to the sounds continuously, turn the unit
off and then back on.
Note: Do not select the TIMER button if you wish to listen to the sounds continuously.
Maintenance
To Store
You may leave the unit on display, or you can store it in its box or a cool, dry place.
To Clean
Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. NEVER use liquids or abrasive cleaner to clean.
Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void users authority to operate this device.
Battery Precautions:
1. Use AA alkaline batteries only. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Replace all batteries at the same time.
3. Clean the battery contacts and the contacts of the device prior to battery installation with a dry cloth.
4. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ /–).
5. Remove batteries from the unit when it is not to be used for an extended period of time.
6. Remove depleted batteries from the unit promptly. Dispose of used batteries safely. Keep all batteries
away from children. Batteries are small objects and could be ingested. If swallowed, contact a
physician at once. Do not open batteries or dispose of in fire.
7. Do not mix old and new batteries.
8. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.

this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.
HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under
normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a Consumer Relations
Representative by telephone at 1-800-466-3342 for assistance. Please make sure to have the
model number of the product available.
HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent
consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics
in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by
misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product;
improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power
supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure
to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect;
vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair
facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the
control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which
the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate
in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/
or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this
warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY.
THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART
OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS
SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN
NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD
OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE
MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT
SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or
resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/
or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall
immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced,
altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may
vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and
exclusions may not apply to you.

Armado e instrucciones de uso
1. Desempaque el producto y asegúrese de que el adaptador esté incluido (Fig. 1).
2. Esta unidad funciona con un adaptador de CA, que viene incluido, o con 4 baterías “AA”, que
no están incluidas.
3. Conecte el enchufe del adaptador de CA a la base de la unidad y enchufe el cable en un
tomacorriente doméstico de 120 V.
4. Para colocar las baterías, utilice una moneda para girar el tornillo de la tapa del
compartimiento de las baterías ubicada en la parte inferior del producto hacia la posición
“open” (abierto) (Fig. 4). Abra la tapa del compartimiento de las baterías. Introduzca 4
baterías “AA” en el compartimiento de acuerdo con la dirección de la polaridad que se indica.
Utilice una moneda para girar el tornillo de la tapa a la posición “locked” (cerrado) y cerrar la
tapa del compartimiento.
Para escuchar sonidos de la naturaleza
1. Encienda la unidad girando la perilla VOLUME (volumen) hacia la derecha.
2. Presione el botón del sonido que desea escuchar (Fig. 2). El LED POWER (encendido/
apagado) verde indicará que la unidad está encendida (Fig. 3).
3. Para graduar el volumen, gire la perilla VOLUME (volumen) (Fig. 3) hasta el nivel que desee.
4. Cuando ya no desee escuchar los sonidos, puede apagarlos girando la perilla VOLUME
(volumen) hasta la posición “off” (apagado) (Fig. 3).
Nota: cuando se encienda la unidad siempre volverá a reproducir el último sonido que se usó.
Uso del temporizador automático
Cuando el dispositivo está encendido y usted está escuchando un sonido de la naturaleza,
puede configurar el temporizador para que la unidad se apague automáticamente.
1. Presione varias veces el botón TIMER (temporizador) (Fig. 3) hasta que se ilumine el LED
correspondiente ubicado junto al lapso que eligió: 15, 30 o 60 minutos. La unidad se apagará
automáticamente una vez que finalice el lapso seleccionado y el LED POWER (encendido/
apagado) (Fig. 3) permanecerá iluminado para indicar que aún se encuentra en el modo de
temporizador. Si elige escuchar otro sonido por un lapso determinado, presione el botón
de temporizador para seleccionar el lapso deseado. O si elige escuchar los sonidos sin
interrupciones, apague la unidad y vuelva a encenderla.
Nota: si desea escuchar los sonidos sin interrupciones, no seleccione el botón TIMER
(temporizador).

Puede dejar la unidad exhibida o puede guardarla en la caja o en un lugar fresco y seco.
Limpieza
Quite el polvo con un paño húmedo. NUNCA use líquidos ni limpiadores abrasivos para limpiar la unidad.
Las modificaciones no autorizadas por el fabricante pueden anular la autoridad del usuario para utilizar este
producto.
Precauciones sobre las pilas:
1. Use solamente pilas alcalinas AAA. No use pilas recargables.
2. Cambie todas las pilas al mismo tiempo.
3. Limpie los contactos de las pilas y los del dispositivo con un paño seco antes de instalar las pilas.
4. Asegúrese de que las pilas estén instaladas correctamente con respecto a la polaridad (+/-).
5. Quite las pilas de la unidad cuando no vaya a ser usada por un largo período de tiempo.
6. Quite las pilas agotadas de la unidad rápidamente. Deseche las pilas usadas de forma segura. Mantenga
todas las pilas fuera del alcance de los niños. Las pilas son objetos pequeños y podrían tragarlos. Si las
tragan, póngase en contacto con un médico inmediatamente. No abra las pilas ni las arroje al fuego. No
mezcle pilas nuevas y usadas.
7. No mezcle pilas usadas y pilas nuevas.
8. No mezcle pilas alcalinas, estándar (carbón-zinc) ni recargables (níquel-cadmio, níquel-metal hidruro, etc.).
