Este artefacto está equipado con un termostato que lo apagará si la

Mantenimiento

center. However if this appliance is still under warranty, return it to the
Helen of Troy Consumer Service Department for replacement.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or wrap
the cord around the barrel.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft
surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be
blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
9. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
10. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
11. DO NOT direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments (when furnished) may be hot during use. Allow them to
cool before handling.
13. DO NOT place appliance on any surface while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause
the heaters to turn off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to
partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance
stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow
the appliance to cool down, at which time the thermostat will automatically
reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this
appliance near water (e.g., bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet
protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning
becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe
the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior
to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair. This
appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
NOTICE
If your dryer unexpectedly stops, or if it is not blowing
hot air, tur n it off, unplug it and CLEAN THE LINT FILTER
while waiting 5 minutes for the dryer to cool down. Then
press the red ”reset” button on the ALCI safety plug until
it clicks. Your dryer should resume operation.

Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry
location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the
cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life
and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at
plug connections.

Helen of Troy warrants to the original purchaser that this
appliance is free from defects in workmanship for seven years from the
date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from
accident, misuse, abuse, attempts at repair or the use of unauthorized
attachments. If this appliance fails to operate properly under normal use
within 30 days from purchase because of defect, simply return it to the
place of purchase with proof of purchase for a no-charge replacement.
If found defective after 30 days and within the warranty
period, send the appliance postage paid along with proof of purchase,
a note explaining reason for return, and $10.00 US to cover handling,
insurance, and return postage costs to: Helen of Troy L.P., Consumer

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
force the plug into an improper outlet.
For U.S. residents only: In the event of an unusual circumstance
such as immersion, the protective device will not allow the dryer to
operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper
working order. Plug the appliance in an electrical outlet and press the
test button. The dryer should stop immediately. To resume operation,
press the reset button.
1875 W dryers for US. This product is rated 1875W/125V/60Hz
in conformance with ANS/UL STD. 859. Wattage in use may vary
depending on the location and settings.
Styling Tips
• Gently towel-dry hair to remove excess water.
• Set dryer on highest setting and speed and circulate the airflow
through your hair. Do not concentrate airflow on any one area.
• When hair is almost completely dry, lower heat and speed setting
and begin to style hair as desired.
• Use the Concentrator Attachment for a more directed airflow. The
Styling Pik attachment channels airflow to help straighten hair. To
attach, simply press Concentrator or Styling Pik into air outlet until
it fits into place. To remove, allow dryer and attachment to cool,
then gently pull away from dryer.
• The Finger Diffuser will soften the airflow from the hair dryer.
To use, attach the Finger Diffuser to the air outlet. Allow diffuser
fingers to run gently over the scalp while drying. To remove, allow
dryer and attachment to cool, then gently pull away from dryer.
• Push the Cool Shot Button to set the style with cool air once
you’ve achieved the desired style.
• When drying is complete, wait for the appliance to cool before
storing. Do not wrap the cord around the dryer. Use the Hanging
Ring. This keeps the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LINT FILTER(S)
• LINT FILTERS DIFFER FROM DRYER TO DRYER. Some dryers have
a filter inside the Removable End Cap as well as an internal filter
inside the air intake. Others have only an internal lint filter inside
the air intake grill.
• CLEAN THE LINT FILTER DAILY. This will extend the life of your
dryer and prevent it from overheating and shutting off.
• Unplug the appliance from the power source. Remove the end cap
by rotating it counterclockwise until it detaches from the dryer.
(NOTE: The end cap may hinge downward or upward instead of
rotating and may not be completely removable from the dryer.)
• Remove dust and lint from the internal lint filter using a brush,
fingers or a vacuum cleaner.
• Your dryer may also have a lint filter attached to the Removable
End Cap. If it does, clean that filter in the same manner, removing
dust and lint from both the inside and outside of the filter.
• To replace the end cap, align the end cap’s tabs with the
indentations inside the back grill of the hair dryer. Rotate the end
cap clockwise until it locks into place.

• LIMPIE EL FILTRO PARA PELUSA TODOS LOS DÍAS. Esto
prolongará la vida útil del secador e impedirá que se sobrecaliente

• Desenchúfelo de la fuente de energía. Quite la tapa posterior
girándola hacia la izquierda hasta quitarla del secador. (NOTA: La
tapa posterior puede se abisagrada hacia abajo o hacia arriba en
vez de girar y puede no ser totalmente desmontable del secador.)
• Retire el polvo y la pelusa del filtro interno para pelusa usando una
escobilla, los dedos o una aspiradora.
• El secador puede tener también un filtro para pelusa instalado
en la tapa posterior desmontable. De ser así, limpie ese filtro de
la misma manera, retirando el polvo y la pelusa del interior y el
exterior del filtro.
• Para volver a colocar la tapa posterior, alinee las lengüetas de la
misma con las muescas dentro de la rejilla posterior del secador
de pelo. Gire la tapa del extremo hacia la derecha hasta que quede
asegurada en el lugar.
