IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.
3. To protect against re, electric shock and injury to
persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or power base in
water or other liquid.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.
6. This Kettle is not a toy. Children should be supervised
to ensure they do not play with the Programmable
Temperature Kettle or power base.
7. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning the appliance.

8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or it is dropped,
or has been damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer
Service.

let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch

other objects during operation. Do not place any
objects on top of appliance while it is operating.
Place the appliance on a surface that is resistant to

or injury, always position the power base on a stable,
level surface, out of the reach of children.
18. To disconnect, press to turn the power base OFF.
Then remove plug from wall outlet.
19. This product is designed for household only. Do not use
the Programmable Temperature Kettle for other than its
intended purpose.
20. Be certain lid is down before operating appliance.
Scalding may occur if the lid is opened during heating.
21. Do not clean the Programmable Temperature Kettle with
abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
material.

2. The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a
120V AC electrical outlet only.
3. Use water only in this appliance! Do not put any
other liquids or food products in this appliance. Do
not mix or add anything to the water placed in this
appliance, except as instructed in the User Maintenance
Instructions to clean the appliance.
4. Do not operate appliance without water (dry) or with an
insufcient amount of water.
5. Do not ll above the MAX water level. If the
Programmable Temperature Kettle is over-lled, there
is a risk that boiling water may be ejected.

caution while moving this appliance when it contains
hot water, and while pouring hot water from this
appliance.
7. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use,
immediately unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to

8. If this power base or Kettle falls or accidentally
becomes immersed in water or any other liquid, unplug
it immediately. Do not reach into the water! Do not
use this appliance after it has fallen into or has
become immersed in water. Contact Consumer Service for
examination and repair.
9. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
10. Always pour water into Programmable Temperature Kettle
before plugging in and heating the appliance. Never
pour water into heated Kettle.
11. Do not block emitted steam from the spout during use.
12. Do not place this appliance in a microwave oven.

NOTES ON THE PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

NOTES ON THE CORD
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply
cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords
are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord
is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-
supply cord or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounding- type 3-wire cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the counter top or table top where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over.
PLASTICIZER WARNING
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the
nish of the counter top or table top or other furniture,
place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the
appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top.
Failure to do so may cause the nish to darken; permanent
blemishes may occur, or stains can appear.

Touch-Activated Display Control Panel
A screen that only shows up when you need it.
The button and any TEA or BOIL button will illuminate when active and vanish
when not in use. Beautiful tea drinkers! This variable temperature control can
be programmed for precision water temperature for a perfect brew every time.

• When the Programmable Temperature Kettle is plugged in, a tone will
sound, the control panel will illuminate for 1 second. The button
will illuminate and then pulse slowly on and off.
• When is pressed, a tone will sound, and the control panel will
illuminate and remain active for 20 seconds.
• Press to STOP any operation.
• When any TEA or BOIL button has been pressed, a tone will sound and
preset target temperature will be displayed on the Digital TEMP Display.
• In 5 seconds, the current water temperature (ºF) will be displayed.
• After water is heated to the programmed temperature, the Kettle will
advance to WARM. At the end of 30 minutes, the Programmable Temperature
Kettle will automatically turn OFF. If the WARM button is pressed,
the unit will turn OFF when the target temperature is reached.
• When brewing white tea, press WHITE to begin operation. The Programmable
Temperature Kettle will begin heating water to 165ºF/75ºC. When
the temperature is reached, 3 tones will sound as the Kettle advances
to WARM.
• Press to turn OFF WHITE as the unit advances to standby mode.
• When brewing green tea, press GREEN to begin operation. The Programmable
Temperature Kettle will begin heating water to 175ºF/80ºC.
When the temperature is reached, 3 tones will sound as the Kettle
advances to WARM.
• Press to turn OFF GREEN as the unit advances to standby mode.

• When brewing oolong tea, press OOLONG to begin operation.
The Programmable Temperature Kettle will begin heating water
to 195ºF/90ºC. When the temperature is reached, 3 tones will sound
as the Kettle advances to WARM.
• Press to turn OFF OOLONG as the unit advances to standby mode.
• When boiling water is needed quickly, press BOIL to begin operation.
The Programmable Temperature Kettle will begin heating water to
212ºF/100ºC. When the temperature is reached, 3 tones will sound
as the Kettle advances to WARM.
• Press to turn OFF BOIL as the unit advances to standby mode.
• Press + or - to increase or reduce heating temperature in 5ºF
increments. After 5 seconds, the Programmable Temperature Kettle will
begin to operate.
• When the target temperature is reached, 3 tones will sound as the Kettle
advances to WARM.
• WARM cycle maintains the Programmable Temperature Kettle’s programmed
temperature WARM time defaults to 30 minutes.
• Press to turn OFF WARM as the unit advances to standby mode.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Carefully unpack the Programmable
Temperature Kettle and remove all
packaging materials.
2. Position the power base on a stable,
level surface near an electrical outlet.
Wind the excess power cord into the cord
storage area located beneath the power
base. Make sure the cord exits through
the cord exit slot on the side of the
power base.
CAUTION: Do not immerse power base,
power cord, or plug in water or any
other liquid.
3. Following the detailed OPERATION
instructions, boil 3 Kettles of
clean water.
4. Discard the boiled water. Your
Programmable Temperature Kettle is now
ready for use.
WARNING: This appliance generates

Operation
1. Place the power base on a at, clean, dry counter top or table. Make
sure the power base is unplugged.
WARNING! This Programmable Temperature Kettle may be used ONLY with the
power base provided. The power base may be used ONLY with this Kettle.
2. Remove the Programmable Temperature Kettle from the power base.
Press the lid release to open the lid (Figure 1), or use the spout to
ll
the Kettle. Add fresh, cold water to at least the 0.5L MIN water level;
do not ll above the 1.7L MAX water level (Figure 2). Wipe excess water
from the Kettle.
CAUTION: Never add water above the 1.7L MAX water level. This could
cause boiling water to splatter out.
NOTE: If the Programmable Temperature Kettle is accidentally switched ON
without sufcient water, a boil-dry protection device will automatically
turn the unit OFF. (See Boil-Dry Protection explanation in this
Instruction Manual.)
3. Close the lid and press down gently until it locks in place.
Check to ensure the lid is fully closed.
4. Place the Programmable Temperature Kettle onto the electrical connector
in the center of the power base, taking care not to spill any water.
5. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. An audible tone will sound,
the control panel will illuminate for 1 second, then turn off.
6. The button will pulse slowly on and off until use.
WHITE, GREEN, OOLONG TEA, BOIL
1. Press the pulsing . An audible tone will sound as the control panel
illuminates and remains active for 20 seconds.
2. Press the desired TEA or BOIL button. A tone will sound. The button,
any TEA or BOIL button, and the WARM button will illuminate when active.
All other buttons vanish when not in use.
NOTE: If no buttons are pressed in 20 seconds, the control panel will
darken and the button will illuminate and begin to pulse.

3. The digital TEMP display shows the pre-set temperature, and in 5
seconds, the Programmable Temperature Kettle will begin to heat.
The digital thermometer will revert to the current water temperature
and begin to rise until the target temperature is reached.
4. At the completion of any TEA or BOIL cycle, 3 tones will sound
as the Programmable Temperature Kettle advances to WARM.
NOTE: If the Kettle is accidentally switched ON without sufcient water,
a boil-dry protection device will automatically turn the unit OFF.
(See boil-dry protection explanation.)
WARM
5. If the WARM button is pressed before any TEA or BOIL cycle begins,
the WARM cycle will be cancelled and the unit will turn OFF when the
target temperature is reached..
CAUTION: To avoid a risk of splashing, make sure the lid is securely
closed onto the Programmable Temperature Kettle before operating. Pour
slowly and be careful not over-tilt the Programmable Temperature Kettle.
CAUTION: Do not touch hot surfaces!
6. To reheat, check the water level to ensure it is above the MIN water
level. If necessary, add more water before returning the Programmable
Temperature Kettle to the power base.
7. When not in use unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning. Empty the
Programmable Temperature Kettle after each use. Do not allow
water to sit in the Programmable Temperature Kettle overnight.

8. Press + or - to increase or reduce heating temperature in 5ºF
increments (Figure 3). After 5 seconds, the Programmable Temperature
Kettle will begin to operate. When the target temperature is reached,
3 tones will sound.

Follow this guide to achieve optimal avor from different types of tea.
Steep Times listed are general and subject to personal preference. Steep times
vary due to tea leaf size and bud consistency. Small leaves steep faster than
whole buds. To avoid bitterness in a stronger tea, it is best to use more tea,
rather than to extend steep time. Taste your tea every 30 seconds and extend
steep as needed

Boil-Dry Protection
If the Kettle is without sufcient water, or if the water has evaporated,
the safety thermostat automatically turns the Kettle OFF. To reset the boil-dry
protection device, remove the Kettle from the power base and allow it to cool
for at least 15 - 20 seconds before lling with fresh water and positioning on
the power base.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable
parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly
must be performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.
Care & Cleaning Instructions
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE POWER BASE, CORD, OR PLUG IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
IMPORTANT: Never use scouring pads or harsh cleansers to clean your Programmable
Temperature Kettle as they may damage the soft matte nish.
1. Empty the Programmable Temperature Kettle after each use. Do not allow
water to sit in the Kettle overnight.
2. Make sure the Programmable Temperature Kettle power base is unplugged
and completely cool.
3. Grasp the handle and remove the Programmable Temperature Kettle from
the power base. Wipe the inside of the Kettle with a soft, damp cloth
until dry.
4. Wipe the power base with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
5. Use a soft sponge to remove any ngerprints or surface dirt from
the Programmable Temperature Kettle body.
WARNING: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleansers as these may
damage the nish of the Kettle.
6. Make sure both the power base and the Programmable Temperature Kettle
is completely dry after cleaning and before use.

Descaling
Minerals, lime and calcium found in hard-water areas can accumulate and affect
the operation of your Programmable Temperature Kettle. Depending on water
conditions and frequency of use, your Kettle should be cleaned to remove scale
when performance diminishes.
1. Before cleaning your Programmable Temperature Kettle, make sure the power
base is unplugged and the Kettle is cool.
2. Fill the Programmable Temperature Kettle with 1 part white vinegar
or lemon juice to 3 parts cold water.
3. Allow the lled Programmable Temperature Kettle to stand for 1 hour;
then bring the Kettle contents to a BOIL.
4. Empty the Programmable Temperature Kettle, rinse thoroughly. BOIL clean
water 2 or 3 times using cold water to rinse any residual acid taste.
5. After descaling, rinse the Programmable Temperature Kettle thoroughly
then re-ll with fresh cold water.
6. Unplug the Programmable Temperature Kettle power base from
the wall outlet.
WARNING:
• To avoid personal injury, always use extreme caution when handling
hot water.
• Do not touch any Programmable Temperature Kettle surface during
and after use.
• Never lift the Kettle lid when boiling water.

Storing Instructions
1. Unplug the power base and allow it to cool.
2. Never store the Programmable Temperature Kettle while the power base
is still plugged in.
3. Store the Programmable Temperature Kettle with lid in place.
4. Use the cord storage area located on the bottom of the power base.
Never wrap cord tightly around the power base. Never place any stress
on cord, especially where the cord enters the power base,
as this could cause the cord to fray and break.
5. Store Kettle and power base in its box or in a cool, dry place.

y el panel de control se iluminará por 1 segundo. El botón
se iluminará y luego la luz se encenderá y se apagará a ritmo lento.

Funcionamiento
1. Ubicar la base de alimentación en una encimera o una mesa plana, limpia
y seca. Asegurarse de que la base de alimentación esté desenchufada.
ADVERTENCIA: Esta tetera de temperatura programable puede usarse SOLO
con la base de alimentación provista. La base de alimentación puede
usarse SOLO con esta tetera.
2. Quitar la tetera de temperatura programable de la base de alimentación.
Presionar el botón de liberación para abrir la tapa, o usar el pico para
llenar la tetera (Figura 1). Agregar agua potable fría hasta al menos
la línea de nivel de agua mínimo de 0.5 l (MIN); no llenar por encima
del nivel máximo de 1.7 l (MAX) (Figura 2). Secar el exceso de agua
de la tetera.
ATENCIÓN: Nunca agregar agua más allá de la línea máxima de 1.7 l (MAX).
Esto podría causar que el agua hirviendo salpique.
NOTA: Si la tetera de temperatura programable se encendiera por
accidente sin tener agua suciente, un dispositivo de protección
contra secado por evaporación apagará la unidad automáticamente. (Ver
la explicación de la protección contra secado por evaporación en este
Manual de instrucciones).
3. Cerrar la tapa y presionar suavemente hacia abajo hasta que se trabe en
su lugar. Vericar que la tapa esté bien cerrada.
4. Colocar la tetera de temperatura programable sobre el conector eléctrico,
en el centro de la base de alimentación, y cuidar de no derramar agua.
5. Enchufar el cable de alimentación al tomacorriente eléctrico de la
pared. Se oirá un tono, el panel de control se iluminará durante 1
segundo y luego se apagará.
6. El botón se encenderá y se apagará a ritmo lento hasta que se ponga
en funcionamiento.

WHITE (Té blanco), GREEN (Té verde), té OOLONG, BOIL (Hervir)
1. Presionar el botón pulsante. Sonará un tono, el panel de control
se iluminará y permanecerá activo por 20 segundos.
2. Presionar el botón del té deseado o el botón BOIL (Hervir). Sonará un
tono. El botón , el de cualquiera de los tés, el botón BOIL y el
botón WARM se iluminarán mientras estén activos. Todos los demás botones
desaparecen cuando no están en uso.
NOTA: Si no se presiona ningún botón antes de los 20 segundos, el panel
de control se oscurecerá y el botón se iluminará y comenzará
a destellar.
3. La pantalla digital TEMP muestra la temperatura precongurada, y luego
de 5 segundos la tetera de temperatura programable comenzará a calentar.
El termómetro digital mostrará ahora la temperatura actual del agua
y comenzará a aumentar hasta que se alcance la temperatura deseada.
4. Al completarse cualquier ciclo de tés o de BOIL (Hervir), sonarán
3 tonos y la tetera de temperatura programable pasará a WARM
(Mantener caliente).
NOTA: Si la tetera se encendiera por accidente sin tener agua suciente,
un dispositivo de protección contra secado por evaporación apagará
la unidad automáticamente. (Ver la explicación de la protección contra

FUNCIÓN WARM (Mantener caliente)
5. Si se presiona el botón WARM antes de que un ciclo de tés o BOIL
se inicie, el ciclo WARM se cancelará y la unidad se apagará cuando
se alcance la temperatura programada.
ATENCIÓN: Para evitar el riesgo de salpicaduras, asegurarse de que
la tapa esté bien cerrada sobre la tetera de temperatura programable
antes de ponerla en funcionamiento. Verter lentamente y tener cuidado

de infusión que se indican son generales y están sujetos a las preferencias
personales. Los tiempos de infusión pueden variar según el tamaño de las hojas

Protección contra secado por evaporación
Si la tetera de temperatura programable no tuviera suciente agua, o si el
agua se hubiera evaporado, el termostato de seguridad apagará la tetera
automáticamente. Para reiniciar el dispositivo de protección contra secado por
evaporación, retirar la tetera de la base de alimentación y dejar
que se enfríe por al menos 15 a 20 segundos antes de llenarla con agua potable
y volver a colocarla en la base de alimentación.
Instrucciones de mantenimiento para el usuario
Este electrodoméstico necesita poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que se
puedan reparar. El usuario no debe intentar repararlo por sí mismo. Cualquier
mantenimiento para el que sea necesario desarmar el aparato, debe ser realizado
por un técnico autorizado para reparar electrodomésticos.
Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza
Los minerales, la cal y el calcio de las aguas duras se pueden acumular y
afectar el funcionamiento de su tetera de temperatura programable. Según las
condiciones del agua y la frecuencia de uso, su tetera deberá limpiarse para
quitarle el sarro cuando su desempeño se vea afectado.
1. Antes de limpiar su tetera de temperatura programable, asegurarse de que

2. Llenar la tetera de temperatura programable con 1 parte de vinagre
blanco o jugo de limón y 3 partes de agua fría.

Descaling
Minerals, lime and calcium found in hard-water areas can accumulate and affect
the operation of your Programmable Temperature Kettle. Depending on water
conditions and frequency of use, your Kettle should be cleaned to remove scale
when performance diminishes.
1. Before cleaning your Programmable Temperature Kettle, make sure the power
base is unplugged and the Kettle is cool.
2. Fill the Programmable Temperature Kettle with 1 part white vinegar
or lemon juice to 3 parts cold water.
3. Allow the lled Programmable Temperature Kettle to stand for 1 hour;
then bring the Kettle contents to a BOIL.
4. Empty the Programmable Temperature Kettle, rinse thoroughly. BOIL clean
water 2 or 3 times using cold water to rinse any residual acid taste.
5. After descaling, rinse the Programmable Temperature Kettle thoroughly
then re-ll with fresh cold water.
6. Unplug the Programmable Temperature Kettle power base from
the wall outlet.
WARNING:
• To avoid personal injury, always use extreme caution when handling

del Servicio de atención al cliente
intentará resolver los problemas
referidos a la garantía por
teléfono. Si este no puede resolver
el problema, le proporcionarán un
número de caso y le solicitarán que
devuelva el producto a Sensio Inc.

etiqueta al producto que incluya:
su nombre, dirección, número
telefónico de contacto durante el
día, número de caso y descripción
del problema. Además, incluya una
copia del recibo de compra original.
