Do not use any other type of electrical outlet. Before using for the first time, clean all parts. (See “To Clean” under Care and Cleaning.) Do not immerse Motor End of unit in water. This Stick Mixer blends, mixes and chops fast and easily. Use it to make sauces, soups, mayonnaise, purees, dietetic and baby food, mixed drinks or cocktails. It comes complete with a handy plastic Mixing Cup, but it can just as efficiently be operated in a bowl, pan or other container. SPECIAL ATTENTION: • Do not use Stick Mixer in saucepan directly on stovetop. Remove pan from heat before blending. • Do not lower Stick Mixer into container beyond the Immersion Line indicated on unit. • Place blade-end of Stick Mixer into bottom of Cup or other container before turning unit on, to prevent splashing. • To avoid spattering, never lift Stick Mixer out of ingredients while motor is on. • While using, untwist the Cord from time to time to avoid tangling. TO USE: Stick Mixer has two speeds — Lo (I) and Hi (II). Press the Speed Switch (Lo or Hi) for continuous blending. Blending action stops when switch is released. Pulse On: For a short "boost" to mixing, push and release the Speed Switch for Lo (I) or Hi (II) speed. NOTE: During use, it is normal for suction to be created at the bottom of the container. Care and Cleaning This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication for the life of the unit. It contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel. CLEANING 1. Unplug the unit before cleaning. 2. Place the Blade End of stick mixer under warm running water immediately after mixing is completed. 3. Wipe Motor End of handle with a damp cloth or sponge. 4. NEVER IMMERSE MOTOR END IN WATER. 5. The Mixing Cup may be placed in the top rack of dishwasher. STORING: 1. Unplug appliance and store in its box or in a clean, dry place. 2. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. 3. Never hang the unit by the cord. 4. Do not put stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
