Forma de uso

El cabezal termostático programable 72501 para radiador es un producto que se puede utilizar para

regular la temperatura de espacios cerrados y, de este modo, reducir la energía que consume su

calefacción.

• Use el termostato únicamente con esta finalidad. El puerto de programación USB está diseñado para

usar ÚNICAMENTE con nuestro programador. No conecte otros dispositivos al puerto de programación.

Menú de ajuste

Al pulsar el botón, accede al menú de ajuste. Escoja uno de los elementos con la rueda de

selección. Con el botón , puede seleccionar un elemento del menú y ajustarlo con la rueda de

selección. Al pulsar el botón , confirma el ajuste realizado. Pulse el botón para regresar

al nivel anterior.

Colocación / Sustitución de pilas

Para retirar la tapa de las pilas, presiónela hacia arriba (1)

en el punto señalado y extráigala (2).

A continuación, introduzca las pilas como se indica en el dispositivo.

No use acumuladores. Asegúrese de que la polaridad es correcta. ATENCIÓN: No recargue las pilas.

Existe riesgo de explosión. No provoque cortocircuitos en las pilas. No desmonte las pilas. Si el nivel

de las pilas es bajo, retírelas de inmediato del dispositivo. Evite que las pilas estén en contacto con

temperaturas extremadamente elevadas. Existe riesgo de pérdidas de líquido. No utilice pilas usadas y

nuevas al mismo tiempo.

Si es necesario, limpie las pilas y los contactos antes de usarlas. Mantenga las pilas lejos del alcance de

los niños. En caso de entrada en contacto con el líquido ácido de la batería, lave de inmediato la zona

afectada con agua y consulte a un médico.

Ajuste de fecha y hora

Después de colocar las pilas por primera vez, en la pantalla se mostrará la fecha de forma intermitente.

Ya puede ajustar la fecha y la hora.

Ajuste la fecha con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Ajuste el mes con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Ajuste el día con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Ajuste la hora con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Ajuste los minutos con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Fin del proceso.

En la pantalla, se mostrará la indicación PREP. Ahora, el motor se desplazará completamente hasta

la posición de instalación para facilitar el proceso de instalación. Cuando el cabezal termostático

programable esté listo para la instalación, en la pantalla se mostrará el mensaje INST. (INST- seleccione

cualquier hora en el menú). Durante este tiempo, no presione ningún otro botón. Conecte el equipo al

anillo de acoplamiento.

 Montaje.

También puede ajustar la fecha y la hora más adelante en el elemento del menú TIME. En ese caso, el

cabezal termostático programable no se desplaza hasta la posición de instalación.

 Si sustituye las pilas, el programa de horario guardado no se desprogramará.

Compruebe la hora ajustada para asegurarse de que es así.

Montaje

El cabezal termostático se monta fácil y rápidamente en cualquier tipo de válvula termostatizable

GENEBRE. Se puede instalar sin manchas de agua ni suciedad porque el circuito de calefacción no se

interrumpe.

1. Gire el cabezal termostático manual completamente hacia arriba, afloje las

fijaciones y retire el termostato de la válvula.

2. Atornille el conector a la válvula o al adaptador.

3. A continuación, coloque el cabezal termostático programable en

el conector y gírelo hasta escuchar los sonidos de encaje.

ATENCIÓN: El cabezal termostático programable se instala sin necesidad de ejercer fuerza. Asegúrese

de que está en modo INST u ON.

 Para realizar la instalación más adelante, en el menú, seleccione previamente el modo INST

Este modo facilita el proceso de instalación. Monte el dispositivo únicamente en este

modo

Desmontaje

Para retirar el cabezal termostático programable, póngalo en modo EIN

(gire la rueda en la posición más alta por encima de 28 °C hasta la posición

EIN), espere unos breves instantes y, a continuación, presione en el

dispositivo de desbloqueo para desenganchar el agarre de liberación rápida.

Por último, extraiga el cabezal termostático de la válvula.

Adaptación

Instalación: Mantenga pulsado el botón hasta que en la pantalla se muestre el mensaje ADAP,

que indica que el cabezal termostático programable está preparado para comenzar la adaptación. El

dispositivo se adaptará al recorrido del cuerpo de la válvula. Para ello, la válvula se abrirá y cerrará varias

veces a fin de guardar los parámetros.

En algunos casos, este proceso puede durar varios minutos. Cuando la adaptación se ha realizado

correctamente, regresa al modo normal.

 Si es necesario volver a realizar la adaptación, por ejemplo, porque el radiador no se enfría en la

posición AUS, mantenga pulsado el botón ADAP del menú hasta que la adaptación vuelva a iniciarse.

 Si en la pantalla se muestra el fallo E2, coloque el cabezal termostático programable en la válvula del

radiador y saque las pilas durante un breve periodo de tiempo para que se restablezca el dispositivo.

Modos de funcionamiento básico

Modo MANU

En el modo MANU, el cabezal termostático programable se ajusta a la temperatura especificada

manualmente.

Modo AUTO

En el modo AUTO, el cabezal termostático programable cambia de una temperatura a otra según el

programa de horario que se ha establecido:

Temperatura modo confort (valor predeterminado: 21 °C)

Temperatura modo ahorro (valor predeterminado: 16 °C)

Los horarios de modo calefacción y modo ahorro se pueden ajustar a través de la

programación de horario. Es posible establecer 8 horas de cambio (4 horarios de

calefacción y 4 horarios de ahorro) por día como máximo. El cabezal termostático

programable viene de fábrica con los siguientes ajustes predefinidos:

Horario de calefacción: Calefacción con temperatura confort (valor predefinido:

inicio del horario de calefacción a las 7:00 horas)

Horario de ahorro: bajada hasta temperatura ahorro (valor predefinido: inicio del

horario de ahorro a las 22: 00 horas)

Ajuste de horarios de calefacción y ahorro

Con el cabezal termostático programable es posible ajustar 4 horarios de calefacción y 4 horarios de

ahorro al día. Uno para cada día o uno para cada bloque de varios días. Las indicaciones de DAY1 a DAY7

representan los días de la semana, de lunes a domingo. Además, los días correspondientes se muestran

abreviados debajo de la barra de menú en la pantalla.

Formación de bloques

D 1-5 = mismo programa de lunes a viernes

D 1-6 = mismo programa de lunes a sábado

D 1-7 mismo programa de lunes a domingo

En los días no programados, se aplicarán los valores predefinidos.

Ajuste de programa personalizado:

Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el menú el elemento PROG con la rueda de selección. Pulse el

botón . En la pantalla se muestra DAY1 en referencia al lunes. Seleccione el día/bloque con la rueda

de selección. Confirme con el botón . Establezca el comienzo del primer horario de calefacción

con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón Establezca el comienzo del primer horario de

ahorro con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón . A continuación, si lo desea, puede

introducir un 2º, 3er o 4º horario de calefacción/ahorro.

Si no quiere establecer más horarios de calefacción/ahorro, confirme ”----” con el botón

En la pantalla se mostrará el siguiente día con horario programado.

Si no quiere introducir más días, salga del menú pulsando el botón . Si en la pantalla se

muestra la temperatura, quiere decir que la programación ha terminado. Es posible sobrescribir los

bloques con días concretos y horarios diferentes.

Ajuste de modo de temperatura confort y ahorro

Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el menú el elemento TEMP con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el

botón . Ajuste la temperatura de confort con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Establezca la temperatura de ahorro con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón

Área OFF: 8° C, la función de protección antihielo está activada

Área ON: la válvula está completamente abierta

Recuerde: puede ahorrar el máximo de energía posible con una temperatura de ahorro que esté

unos 5 °C por debajo de la temperatura de confort.

Funcionamiento manual

Con la rueda de selección, puede adaptar la temperatura de la habitación en cualquier momento. En

modo AUTO, esta temperatura se mantendrá hasta alcanzar el siguiente horario de cambio. Ahora,

vuelve a estar activo el programa habitual.

Funciones adicionales

Temporizador.

La función de temporizador se selecciona con el botón temporizador . Esta función le permite

definir la temperatura que quiera durante un periodo programable. Esta opción puede ser de gran

utilidad en caso de celebrar una fiesta, por ejemplo. Pulse el botón

En primer lugar, se muestra la hora de desactivación de la programación de horario.

Confirme con el botón . A continuación, puede ajustar la temperatura deseada

Confirme con el botón . En el periodo seleccionado, no es posible cambiar a temperatura manual:

la rueda está bloqueada. Pulse y desbloquéela.

Compensación de desajustes

Si la temperatura que percibe difiere de forma significativa de la temperatura ajustada en el termostato,

ajuste la temperatura. Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el menú el elemento OFFS con la rueda de

selección. Confirme con el botón . El ajuste de grados 0,0°C se mostrará en la pantalla de forma

intermitente. A continuación, ajuste la adaptación deseada para la temperatura (de -5 a +5 °C) con la

rueda de selección. Confirme el ajuste con el botón . La pantalla de temperatura no cambia.

Función ventana

Si abre una ventana y la temperatura desciende de forma significativa, el cabezal termostático

programable cerrará automáticamente la válvula de calefacción para ahorrar energía. En la pantalla se

mostrará . A continuación, el cabezal termostático programable retomará el funcionamiento normal.

Para establecer los ajustes, seleccione WIND en el menú. Confirme con el botón . En primer lugar,

se selecciona la sensibilidad con la rueda de selección MID = sensibilidad media (valor predefinido),

LOW = sensibilidad baja). Confirme con el botón . A continuación, indique el tiempo [10 min (valor

predefinido) - 60 min] que quiere que la válvula permanezca cerrada. Confirme con el botón .

Función viaje

Puede seleccionar una temperatura específica para un periodo en el que no va a estar en casa. Después

de este tiempo, se volverá a activar la programación definida. Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el

menú el elemento HOLI. Confirme con el botón (en la pantalla se mostrará el icono de maleta )

Seleccione con la rueda de selección la fecha del final de la función viaje (= la fecha en la quiere que

vuelvan a funcionar los horarios de calefacción habituales). Confirme con el botón . Ajuste la hora

y confirme con el botón . En la pantalla se muestra la indicación OFF. A continuación, ajuste la

temperatura y confirme con el botón . En la pantalla se muestra el símbolo . Puede desactivar

la función con el botón .

Bloqueo de seguridad para niños

Puede bloquear el cabezal termostático programable para evitar que alguien active el dispositivo sin

autorización. Mantenga pulsados los botones + al mismo tiempo durante 2 segundos hasta

que en la pantalla se muestre la señal para bloquear el dispositivo. Si vuelve a pulsar nuevamente esta

combinación de botones, el símbolo desaparece y el equipo deja de estar bloqueado

Interrupción de calefacción - Cierre del cabezal termostático programable

Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el menú el elemento MODE con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el

botón . Seleccione MANU y confirme con el botón . En la pantalla, ajuste la temperatura a OFF.

Ahora la válvula está cerrada y funcionará sin horarios programados. La función anticalcificación se

sigue activando una vez por semana. Tras la interrupción de calefacción, seleccione el modo AUTO en el

menú y se volverá a ejecutar el programa que haya ajustado anteriormente.

Horario de verano

Pulse el botón . Seleccione DST con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el botón y seleccione

ON/OFF con la rueda de selección. El cabezal termostático programable cambia automáticamente de

horario de verano a horario de invierno.

Indicador LCD de modo en suspensión

Pulse el botón Seleccione en el menú el elemento STBY con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el

botón y seleccione ON/OFF con la rueda de selección. Aproximadamente 30 segundos más tarde, el

indicador de LCD cambia a modo en suspensión. Si pulsa cualquier botón, la pantalla volverá a activarse.

(si retira las pilas, restablecerá el modo en suspensión). Así aumentará la vida útil de las pilas.

Restaurar los valores predefinidos/todos los valores

Pulse el botón . Seleccione en el menú el elemento RES con la rueda de selección. Confirme con el

botón . OK parpadea, confirme con el botón . El cabezal termostático programable se vuelve

a restablecer. A continuación, proceda como se ha indicado para el funcionamiento inicial.

La función antihielo y la función anticalcificación se activan automáticamente:

Función de protección antihielo

Si la temperatura es inferior a 6 °C, el cabezal termostático abre la válvula hasta que la temperatura

vuelva a ser superior a 8 °C. De esta forma, se evita que los radiadores se congelen.

Función anticalcificación

Para evitar que las válvulas del radiador se calcifiquen, el cabezal termostático es sometido a un

programa anticalcificación una vez por semana cada viernes por la mañana.

Limpieza y eliminación de dispositivos

Limpieza

Para limpiar el cabezal termostático programable, use solo un paño seco o ligeramente humedecido.

Evite disolventes químicos; podrían dañar el dispositivo.

Eliminación de dispositivos

No elimine los dispositivos antiguos ni los embalajes con los residuos domésticos. Son reciclables.

Consulte a las autoridades locales para obtener más información al respecto.

Do you already know about the USB programming

device? You can programme the 72501

programmable thermostatic head by hand or you can

use, for example, the comfortable USB programming

device to copy your personally specified heating

and economy times onto all your programmable

thermostatic heads at your home which have a

programming port in a matterof seconds.

Please read the user manual before you place

the thermostatic head. Keep the documents for

later questions and provide them if you pass the

thermostat on to other persons.

By purchasing the programmable thermostatic radiator head you own a programmable radiator

thermostat which can be used for temperature regulations in enclosed rooms and therefore, it can

contribute to the reduction of heating energy.

• Please use the thermostat only for this purpose. The USB programming port is intended ONLY for our

programming device. Never connect other devices with the programming port!

Inserting / replacing batteries

Remove the battery lid by pressing the battery lid upwards (1)

at the highlighted point and then taking it out (2).

Then insert the batteries as represented in the appliance. Do not use accumulators! Ensure that the

polarity is correct! ATTENTION: Never recharge batteries, danger of explosion! Do not short circuit

batteries! Do not disassemble batteries! Take low batteries out of the device immediately. Keep batteries

away from extreme warming – danger of leakage! Do not apply used and new batteries together.

If needed, clean the battery and the contacts before using them. Keep the batteries away from children.

When getting in touch with battery acid instantly irrigate the affected parts with clear water and call a

doctor.

Setting date and time

After inserting the batteries for the first time the date will flash on the display. Now, date and time can

be set.

Set date with the selector wheel. Confirm with

Set month with the selector wheel. Confirm with

That´s it.

On the display PREP will be shown. Now, the motor will completely move to the installation position

in order to make the installation easier. As soon as the programmable thermostatic head is ready for

installation INST will be shown on the display. ( INST- any time selected in the menu). Now please do not

press any other buttons! Plug device for coupling ring.

 Mounting.

You can also set date and time via the menu item TIME later on. But in case of that, the programmable

thermostatic head does not move to the installation position.

 In case of replacing batteries, the stored time programme will remain active. You should

check the specified time to ensure that.

Mounting

The thermostatic head can be quickly and easily mounted on all valves. It can be installed without grime

and water spots because the heating circuit is not interrupted.

1. Turn the manual thermostat head up completely, loosen the fastening and

pull the thermostat off of the valve.

2. Screw the connector on the valve or the adapter.

3. Now, you put the programmable thermostatic head on the connector until

it noticeably clicks into place.

ATTENTION: It must be possible to insert the programmable thermostatic head without applying force,

ensure that the appliance is in the ” INST “ or “ON “ position.

In case of a later installation, please switch in the menu to ” INST “ before you install the device.

Herewith the installation is facilitated. Only mount it in this position.

Dismounting

To remove the programmable thermostatic head remove this at the EIN

(with the wheel turn on the highest temperature of over 28 C° to EIN position),

wait for a short period and then press on the unlocking device to detach

the quick-release catch. Then pull the thermostatic head from the valve.

Adaptation

Initial installation: Press the button until ADAP appears on the display so that the programmable

thermostatic head will be able to start its adaptation. The device will adapt itself to the stroke of your

valve body. To do this the valve will now be opened and closed several times to store the end points.

In some cases this process can take a few minutes. After successful adaptation it returns to normal

mode.

 Should adaptation become necessary again, e.g. if your radiator does not cool down in the AUS

- Position, please press in the menu the button ADAP until adaptation starts again.

 If the mistake E2 is shown on the display place the programmable thermostatic head onto the radiator

valve and then take the batteries out for a short time in order to execute a reset.

Basic operating modes

MANU-Modus

In the MANU-mode the programmable thermostatic head adjusts to the manually specified temperature.

AUTO-Modus

In the AUTO-mode the programmable thermostatic head changes between to temperatures according

to the time programme that has been set:

Comfort temperature (factory preset 21°C)

Economy temperature (factory preset 16°C)

The heating and economy times can be specified via the adjustable time programme. It is possible to

set 8 switch points (4 heating and 4 economy times) per day at the most. The programmable

thermostatic head has the following factory preset:

Heating time: Heating with comfort temperature (factory preset: 1st heating time at 07:00)

Economy time: lowering to economy temperature (factory preset: 1st economy time at 22:00)

Setting heating and economy times

With the programmable thermostatic head it is possible to set 4 heating and 4 economy times per day –

one for each day or one for a block of several days. DAY1 to DAY7 represent the weekdays from Monday

to Sunday. Additionally, the corresponding days are shown as abbreviation below the menu bar on the

display.

Block construction:

D 1–5 = same programme from Monday to Friday

D 1–6 = same programme from Monday to Saturday

D 1–7 = same programme from Monday to Sunday

For non-programmed days the factory preset remains active.

Setting of an individual programme:

Press . Select the menu item PROG with the selector wheel. Press . DAY1 for Monday is shown

on the display. Select day/block with the selector wheel. Confirm with . Set the beginning of the 1st

heating time with the selector wheel. Confirm with . Set the beginning of the 1st economy time

with the selector wheel. Confirm with . Now, if desired, a 2nd, 3rd or 4th heating/economy time

can be entered.

If you do not want to set a further heating/economy time confirm “ ---- “ with .

The next day for programming is shown on the display.

If you do not want to enter a further day, leave the menu with . If the temperature is shown on

the display the programming is fi nished. Within the blocks you can also overwrite single days with

differing times.

Setting comfort and economy temperature

Manual operation

With the selector wheel an adaptation of the room temperature is possible at any time. In the

AUTOmode it remains active until the next switch point is reached. Now, the usual programme becomes

active again.

Further functions

Timer function

The timer function is selected with the timer-button . With this function a user-defined

temperature for a programmable period can be entered. This can be very useful in case of a party, for

example. Press First, the time for which the time programme has been deactivated is shown.

Confirm with Now, the desired temperature can be set. Confirm with . In the selected period

it is not possible to change the temperature manual, the wheel is locked. Press and unlock it.

Offset

If the perceived temperature significantly differs from the set thermostat temperature a temperature set

up can be executed. Press . Select the menu item OFFS with the selector wheel. Confirm with .

The degree setting 0,0ºC will flash on the display. Now, set up the desired adaptation for the temperature

(from -5 up to +5°C) with the selector wheel. Confirm your entry with . The temperature display

doesn not change!

Window function

If you open a window and consequently the temperature drops significantly, the programmable

thermostatic head will automatically close the heating valve in order to save energy. The display will

show . Afterwards, the programmable thermostatic head will resume normal operation. For the set up

select WINW the menu. Confirm with . First, the sensibility is selected with the selector wheel (HIGH =

high sensibility, MID = medium sensibility (factory preset), LOW = low sensibility). Confirm with

Now, you enter the time (10 min (factory preset) - 60 min) for which the valve should remain closed.

Travel function

For the time you are absent you can select an individual temperature. After this period the originally

defined programme becomes active again. Press . Select the menu item HOLI. Confirm with

(suitcase appears on the display). Select with the selector wheel the end of the travel function (=

date of the recommencement of the regular heating times). Confirm with . Set the time and

confi rm with the button . The signal OFF appears on the display. Now set the temperature and

confirm with . appears on the display. With the function can be deactivated.

Child lock

You can lock the programmable thermostatic head to protect the device from unauthorized activation.

Press the buttons + at the same time for about 2 seconds until the signal appears on the

display in order to lock the device. By using this button combination again the symbol disappears and

you release the lock.

Heating pause – Closing the programmable thermostatic head

Press . Select the menu item MODE with the selector wheel. Confirm with . Select MANU and

confirm with . Set the temperature on the display to OFF .

The valve is now closed and will work without a time programme. The calcification protection function

remains active once a week. After the heating pause you switch in the menu to the AUTO-mode and the

personally set programme will be executed again.

Daylight saving time

Press . Select DST with the selector wheel. Confirm with the button and select ON/OFF with

the selector wheel. The programmable thermostatic head switches automatically from summer to winter

time.

LCD standby indicator

Press . The menu item STBY with the selector wheel. Confirm with the button and select ON/

OFF with the selector wheel. After about 30 seconds, the LCD indicator switches into standby mode. By

pressing any button, the display will be activated again. (by removing the battery, standby mode will be

reseted). Increases the battery life time.

Going back to factory preset/All reset

Press . Select the menu item RES with the selector wheel. Confirm with . OK flashes, confirm

with . The programmable thermostatic head is reset again. Now, proceed as described for the initial

operation.

Freeze protection and calcification protection function are active automatically:

Freeze protection function

If the temperature drops below 6°C, the thermostatic head opens the valve until the temperature again

rises above 8°C. This prevents the radiators from freezing.

Calcification protection function

To prevent radiator valves from calcifying the thermostatic head is submitted to a calcification

protection programme once a week on Friday mornings.

Cleaning and used devices

Cleaning

To clean the programmable thermostatic head use only a dry or lightly wet cloth. Avoid chemical solvent

– it can probably damage the device.

Used devices

Do not throw old devices and packaging into the household waste. They can be recycled. You receive

further information at your local government

Due to an endlessthread the pressure

piece, which is situated at the bottom,

can fall out if the device has not been

affixed on the valve.

Put in the pressure piece. The device

can beadapted by pressing the

point or by removing and inserting the

batteries. The endlessthread is rota-

ting now and fixes the pressure piece

again. Just install it to the radiator and

adapt it once again.

E1-E3 By pressing any key the error message will be deleted in the display and the

adapter is re-started.

E1 No adaptation possible. The

programmable thermostatic head is

not installed to the heater.

Is the installation OK?

Install The programmable

thermostatic head to the heater.

E2 Valve stroke is too short. Open and close the valve several

times manually or replace the

batteries.

E3 Motor movement is not possible. Does the valve stem move freely?
