When you leave the Bluetooth operating range with the ARS140 turned ON, it disconnects. When you come back into the Bluetooth operating range, press the Pair button to reconnect to the last paired device. The ARS140 will beep once it has been successfully repaired. Important : Make sure that your phone/device supports Bluetooth A2DP* (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) before proceeding. *A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a technology enabling streaming stereo sound from an audio source (phone, PC, laptop, tablet, mp3 player) to a stereo speaker or headset via Bluetooth. To do so, both devices must support this profile. Español Warranty information Charging The ARS140 is a portable, wireless stereo speaker featuring a portable design and compact footprint. Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC 5V on the right of the ARS140, and connect the other end to a convenient wall outlet. The Charge indicator on the right of the ARS140 will turn solid red while the speaker is charging. It turns solid green when the speaker is fully charged. Important battery information Warning: Your product contains a battery and charging system which is designed to work in temperatures that do not exceed 50°C (122°F). Leaving this product in a closed automobile or the trunk of an automobile where temperatures may exceed 50°C may result in permanent battery damage, fire, or explosion. Please remove your product from the automobile when you exit, do not place your product in the trunk of your automobile, and do not leave your product in any location where temperatures may exceed 50°C. Ecology Your product must be disposed of properly according to local laws and regulations. Because this product contains a battery, the product must be disposed of separately from the household waste. Precautions for the unit • Do not use the unit immediately after transportation from a cold place to a warm place; condensation problems may result. • Do not store the unit near fire, places with high temperature or in direct sunlight. The ARS140 comes with a 3.5 mm stereo jack cable for devices that do not support Bluetooth. Pair the ARS140 with your phone/ device to create an audio streaming link between the two devices. Your devices must be paired before music can be played. 1. If the ARS140 is off, press the button to turn it on. 2. If this is the first time you are turning on ARS140, the Pair indicator blinks in blue rapidly. This indicates that ARS140 is ready to be paired. If the Pair indicator does not blink rapidly, press and hold the Pair button for 3 seconds. 3. While the ARS140 is in pairing mode, select AR FASHION SPKR from the list of Bluetooth devices of your phone. 4. If your phone asks for a password/ pin code, enter 0000 and press OK. 5. Upon successful pairing, the ARS140 will beep once. It is now ready to use with your phone. Introduction The integrated rechargeable battery ensures 5 hours of non-stop, maximumvolume music, and up to 15 hours of moderately played melodies. Only use this in moderate climates. Regulatory Information Streaming music Important: The ARS140 needs to be paired with your Bluetooth A2DP phone/ device before you can stream music to the speaker. Please refer to the Pairing section for details on how to pair with the ARS140. Using the speakerphone Auxiliary source Warranty information This speaker has a built-in microphone on top of the speaker, so you can use it for phone calls as well as music. Your phone will ring through the speaker when you’re receiving a call. To answer/end the call: Press the button on top of the speaker. 1. Plug one end of the supplied 3.5 mm stereo jack cable into the AUX jack and the other end into the output of your music player. The speaker automatically switches to the AUX audio and the Pair indicator will turn white. 2. Press “Play” on your music player to stream music directly via the ARS140 and use the controls on your music player directly. 3. To listen to Bluetooth audio again, unplug the cable from the speaker’s AUX jack. 12 Month Limited Warranty Applies to AR Audio Systems Note: Make sure you’re close enough to the speaker’s builtin microphone so that the other person can hear you! Important: Not all phones support playback control and phone answer/end control. Check your phone’s user manual for more information if you’re having trouble with these functions. 1. Go to your phone’s music player and play a track by pressing “Play” . If the ARS140 is connected, the music will be heard directly in the speaker. See your phone’s manual if needed. 2. To adjust the volume of your audio: Use the – and + buttons on top of the speaker. You can also use the volume controls on your phone.
