Filter • Pressure Regulator • Lubricator Description Professional filter / regulator / lubricators are designed for stationary air compressors. The filter removes contaminants from compressed air flow up to 250 psig. The lubricator provides oil to the air tool and increases the life of the tool. Read this instruction manual before installing this device to the air supply system. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of the equipment. Oil Flow Adjustment Regulator Knob Lubricator Relief Plug 3/8” Inlet Port MANUAL This product is specifically designed for compressed air service ONLY. Use with any other material (liquid or gas) is a misapplication and not permitted. Use or injection of certain hazardous liquids or gases in the system (such as oxygen, alcohol or liquid petroleum gas) will harm the unit and result in a combustible condition or hazardous external leakage. Misapplication will void all warranties and manufacturer’s responsibilities. The relief flow capacity of regulators is limited. Install additional pressure relief devices to alleviate over pressurized conditions. Written approval must be obtained from manufacturer if this device is to be used for life support systems or other non-industrial applications. Metal Bowl Metal Bowl Figure 1 2. Do not exceed any pressure rating of any component in the system. 3. Protect air lines from damage and/or punctures. 4. Check air hoses for weak or worn condition before each use. Make sure all connections are secure. 5. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight and ensure equipment is in safe working condition. Specifications Maximum Input Pressure Max. Temp. Use Teflon® tape on all threads. 2. Remove the plug. Use Teflon® tape on the threads and re-install securely (See Figure 2). 3. Securely mount the filter /regulator / lubricator in a vertical position as close as possible to air tool connection. Install the unit with the same pipe size as the piping in use. Avoid using unnecessary fittings, couplings, etc., that restrict airflow. 5. Connect the air supply to the inlet port. Operation Ensure the regu! NOTICE lator adjusting knob is unlocked when adjusting pressure. The regulator will be damaged if the knob is turned in the locked position. 1. Fill the lubricator bowl with Campbell Hausfeld Oil (ST127000AV) or clean, non detergent SAE 10 oil. 2. Before pressurizing system, make certain the bowls are securely locked in place by pushing the bowls into filter body and lubricator body and turning clockwise to lock. 3. Unlock the regulator adjusting knob by pulling knob away from the regulator. 4. Turn the regulator adjusting knob counterclockwise until no load is on the regulating spring. 5. Turn on the air pressure supply and turn the adjusting knob clockwise until the desired outlet pressure is reached. Push the regulator adjusting knob toward the regulator to lock in desired pressure. 6. The oil flow is controlled by the clear adjusting knob. Turn knob counter-clockwise for more or clockwise for less oil delivery. The oil delivery rate automatically adjusts with changes in air flow. Model PA2078 relief of air pressure. After the relief plug has been removed, the bowl can also be removed. Pour oil into the bowl and replace. Replace fill plug before resuming operation. Do NOT replace the relief plug until the bowl is securely locked in place. Maintenance Release all pressure before attempting to install, service, relocate or perform any maintenance on the air system. Personal injury and/or property damage could occur. Always depressurize the unit before removing the bowl. Personal injury and/or property damage could occur. If bowl is difficult to remove, it may be under pressure. FILTER 1. Inspect and replace cracked, damaged or deteriorated seals and bowls. Wipe bowls with a soft, dry cloth to clean. 2. Replace or clean filter element periodically. Remove the filter element and tap filter on a hard surface or use an air gun to blow out residual dirt. 3. Drain bowls at least once per work shift. To avoid spray or splatter, cover bottom of filter with a cloth and turn the manual drain counterclockwise. 4. Before placing the unit in service, make sure the bowl is reinstalled and securely locked in place. PRESSURE REGULATOR The regulator can be disassembled for servicing without removal from the line. 1. Shut-off air to the filter, regulator and lubricator (F/R/L) and release all pressure from the system on both sides of the F/R/L. 2. Turn adjusting knob counterclockwise to relieve compression on spring. 3. Turn entire knob assembly counterclockwise to remove (See Figure 2). 4. Remove the diaphragm assembly. 5. By removing the filter assembly and spring, the valve stem is removable from the bottom of the regulator. Instale el manómetro. Use cinta pegante de Teflón® en todas las roscas. 2. Desconecte el tapón. Use cinta pegante de Teflón® en todas las roscas y re-instale la unidad 3. Instale adecuadamente el filtro/regulador/lubricador en posición vertical lo más cerca posible de la herramienta neumática. El orificio de entrada está marcado con una flecha que indica la dirección de flujo de aire (Vea la Figura 1). 4. Instale la unidad con tuberías del mismo tamaño de las usadas. Evite usar conectores, acopladores, etc adicionales que pudiesen restringir el flujo de aire. 5. Conecte el suministro de aire al orificio de entrada. Funcionamiento sentido de las agujas del reloj hasta alcanzar la presión deseada. Oprima la perilla hacia regulador para fijarla a la presión deseada. 6. El flujo de aceite se controla con la perilla transparente. Gire la perilla en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para aumentar el suministro de aceite o en el mismo sentido de las agujas del reloj para disminuirlo. El suministro de aceite varia automáticamente con los cambios en el flujo de aire. 7. El lubricador se puede llenar de aceite con el sistema bajo presión. Lentamente desconecte el tapón para liberar la presión de aire. Después de haber sacado el tapón, podrá desconectar el envase. Vierta el aceite en el envase y re-instálelo. Colóquele el tapón antes de comenzar a utilizar la unidad. No le coloque el tapón antes de instalar el envase. Mantenimiento Cerciórese de que la perilla para ajustar el regulador no tenga el seguro cuando vaya a ajustar la presión. Si gira la perilla con el seguro puesto, dañará el regulador. ! Modelo PA2078 AVISO 1. Llene el envase del lubricador de aceite Campbell Hausfeld (ST127000AV) o aceite, sin detergente, SAE 10, limpio. 2.Antes de aplicarle presión al sistema, cerciórese de que los envases estén bien instalados, para hacerlo, empuje los envases hacia el filtro y el lubricador y gírelos en el mismo sentido de las agujas del reloj para asegurarlos. 3. Para quitarle el seguro a la perilla del regulador, hale la perilla. 4. Gire la perilla del regulador en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que el resorte esté completamente estirado (sin presión) 5. Encienda la fuente de suministro de aire y gire la perilla en el mismo ! ADVERTENCIA Libere toda la presión del sistema antes de tratar de instalar, darle servicio, reubicar o darle cualquier tipo de mantenimiento al sistema de aire. De no hacerlo podría ocasionarle heridas personales o daños a su propiedad. Siempre libere toda la presión de la unidad antes de desconectar el envase. Inspeccione los sellos y envases y reemplace aquellos que estén rotos, dañados o deteriorados. Limpie los envases con un trapo suave y seco. 2. Periódicamente reemplace o limpie el elemento del filtro. Saque el elemento del filtro y golpéelo contra una superficie dura o use una pistola neumática para eliminar los residuos de impurezas. 3. Drene los envases al menos una vez en cada jornada laboral. Para evitar que rocie o salpique, cubra la parte inferior del filtro con un trapo y gire la llave de drenaje manual en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj. 4.
