IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especial-

10. Do not use the appliance with a
damaged or broken comb or with teeth missing
from the blades, as injury may result. Before
each use, make certain the blades are aligned
properly and oiled.
11. Do not use the appliance outdoors or
where aerosol (spray) products are being used
or oxygen is being administered.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by
pushing in and down toward the bottom of the
trimmer.
2. Align the AA batteries with the positive and
negative positions indicated inside the battery
compartment. Being careful not to bend the
clips, insert the negative end of each battery
first so it will slip easily into position.
3. Return the battery cover to its original position
by pushing it in and up until you hear a small
click as it locks into place.
4. To use your trimmer, push ON/OFF switch
upwards to ON position.
5. After you finish using your trimmer, push
down on the ON/OFF switch to turn the
trimmer off.
6. For your convenience, the trimmer comes
with a storage base to hold the trimmer and
accessories.
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
OILING THE BLADES
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best
to do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the
trimmer on and hold it so that the blades are
pointed downward. Spread one drop of oil across
the blades, then turn the trimmer off and wipe
away the excess oil with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as this could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the
motor bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.)
After oiling the blades, return the trimmer and
oil packet to the trimmer storage base. KEEP OIL
OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
ON/OFF SWITCH
To operate, simply push slide toward blade;
to stop, push slide away from blade.
*Requires 2 AA batteries (not included). We recommend using
alkaline batteries in your trimmer because they last longer.
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision-
made for a very special use, they should
always be handled with care. Each time you
finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning
brush provided and brush away any loose
hair that has collected in the blades. Then
store the trimmer in its storage base to pro-
tect the blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or
adjusting blades. When you have your trim-
mer serviced, be sure that both blades are
sharpened or replaced at the same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance,
use your trimmer only for the purpose
intended by the manufacturer – to trim
your beard and mustache.
REMOVING BLADE SET
This trimmer comes with a detachable
blade set; which makes maintenance and
replacement easy.
To remove the blade set:
• Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF
position
• With the power switch facing you, press
the blade on the teeth and in direction away
from you until they pop out of the housing
To replace the blade set:
• Make sure the taper control is set to the
longest #1position.
• Looking at the trimmer from above you
will see a notch at the back of the trimmer.
• There is a tab on the blade set on the bot-
tom, opposite the blades
Position that tab so that it fits into the notch
inside the trimmer head
Push the blade set down onto the trimmer
head until it snaps into place.
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL
The Conair trimmer taper control switch is
positioned at the back of the unit. You can
hold the trimmer in your hand and adjust
the switch as needed. The taper control
eliminates the need in some situations for an
attachment comb because it lets you gradual
-
ly adjust the closeness of the cut. For closest
cut and shortest hair, push switch all the way
to level #3. To increase the cutting length,
slowly push control down to level #2 or #1 for
longer cut. Note that too much clipped hair on
the clipper can slow down its operation. To
remove it without removing the blades simply
use the enclosed cleaning brush and gently
sweep away the clipped hair from cutting sur
-
faces. The taper control has no function when
using the nose and ear attachment.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will deter-
mine which beard or mustache style is best
for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache. If you
are unsure about the type of beard or mustache
that would most suit your face, speak with a
professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard
or mustache has been styled, it is essential that
you maintain its appearance. To do this, use your
trimmer to trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should
be slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your
trimmer. This will prevent the trimmer from
removing more hair than desired.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GETTING STARTED:
OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin
with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally, you will want to
outline the desired shape, beginning under
your jawline.
3. Begin defining your beard’s shape under
your chin and work upward on each side
of your face toward your ears. Then define
the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns, and toward
your hai
rline.
NOW YOU’RE READY TO TRIM
YOUR BEARD
1. Your trimmer adjusts to five positions so
you can have a beard length from 1/8” (short
-
est) to 5/8” (longest).
2. To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit
over the trimmer blades and snap it down
into position. At first, until you become familiar
with the adjustments, use the longest trim
setting (5/8”).
(You can always go back and make your beard
a little shorter.)
3. Begin trimming your beard using smooth,
even strokes. Start with your sideburns

will be cut too short.)
4. If you decide you
want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5-
position comb attachment to a shorter setting
(such as 1/2” or 3/8”) and go over your beard
again until you achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The Three Jawline Attachments will help
you to achieve a neat, finished trim under your
chin. To use one of the attachments, press
it down over
the trimmer
blades until
it clicks into
position.
2. Hold the trimmer in an upright position
and begin trimming under your jawline, using
short, even strokes.
3. After your beard is blended, turn off the
trimmer and remove the attachment by gently
pulling up on tab.
TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start with a clean, slightly
damp mustache.
2. Comb through your mustache in the
direction it grows.
3. Place the 5-position
comb over the trimmer
blades and snap it into
position. It is a good idea
to start with the longest
trim setting adjustment. (You can always go
back and cut your mustache more closely
with a shorter setting.)
ALWAYS TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
FROM THE TOP DOWN
4. After your mustache has been trimmed to the
desired length, remove
the 5-position comb and,
using the blades only,
define the outline of the
bottom of your mustache.
USING THE NOSE AND EAR TRIMMER
ATTACHMENT
1. Make sure the trimmer on/off switch is in the
“off” position
2. Detach normal trimming blade (see
“Removing Blade Set” instructions)
Similar to attaching the normal trimming
blade, looking at the trimmer from above
you will see a notch at the back of the
trimmer.
3. Fit the tab on the back of the nose trimmer
into the notch inside the trimmer head
4. Push the nose trimmer towards the front of
the trimmer until it snaps into place
5. Turn the on/off switch to the “on” position
6. Gently use the trimmer to trim away long
nose hairs and ear hairs being very careful
not to insert the trimmer too far into the ear or
nose. The trimmer should go no farther than the
inside edge of your nose or ear.
7. While detaching the nose/ear attachment,
make sure the power switch is facing you and
press the attachment away from you.

LUBRICAR LAS CUCHILLAS
Lubrique las cuchillas aproximadamente una vez
al mes, usando el aceite provisto. Para no ensu
-
ciar, haga esto encima de un periódico. Encienda
el aparato y manténgalo bocabajo. Coloque unas
gotas de aceite sobre las cuchillas, apague el
aparato, y limpie el exceso de aceite con un paño
suave. No use demasiado aceite y no lubrique el
aparato más de lo necesario. Esto podría lasti
-
mar el motor. Nunca intente lubricar las piezas
del motor, ya que son lubricadas de manera
permanente. Después de lubricar las cuchillas,
regrese el aparato y el aceite lubricante en la
base de almacenamiento. MANTENGA EL ACEITE
FUERA DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS.
BOTÓN DE ENCENDIDO/APAGADO

LIMPIAR LAS CUCHILLAS
Las cuchillas fueron diseñadas con precisión

cuidado muy especial. Limpie las cuchillas

ieza provisto, luego regrese el aparato en
la base de almacenamiento. Tenga cuidado

BOTON DE AJUSTE DEL RECORTE

Su cortadora está dotada de un botón de

hasta el nivel 3. Para un corte más largo,
empuje el botón lentamente hacia abajo,
hasta el nivel 2 o 1.
Su cortadora puede perder velocidad si
recortes de cabello estén trabados en las
cuchillas. Para limpiar las cuchillas sin sacar
-
las, utilice el cepillo de limpieza provisto. La
palanca de ajuste de lo largo del recorte no
sirve cuando se usa el accesorio para la nariz
y los oídos.
BARBAS Y BIGOTES
El tipo de barba o de bigote que más con-
viene a su rostro depende de:
1. La forma y el tamaño de su rostro.
2. La forma del crecimiento natural de su
barba o de su bigote.
3. El espesor de su barba o de su bigote.
Si no está seguro del tipo de barba o bigote
que le conviene, busque el consejo de un
estilista profesional. Después de darle forma
a su barba o a su bigote, tendrá que man
-
tener su aspecto, usando la cortadora una
vez por semana.
Para lograr resultados óptimos, humedezca
ligeramente su barba o su bigote antes de
recortarlos (NO LO MOJE). Esto le dará un
corte más preciso.
TIPOS DE BARBAS Y DE BIGOTES
CORTAR SU BARBA
EL CONTORNEO
1. Se le hará más fácil cor
-
tar su barba si está limpia
y ligeramente humede

cida.
2. Peine su barba en la
dirección del crecimiento natural del pelo.
3. Empiece dando forma a su barba debajo
de la quijada y suba hacia la oreja, en cada
lado de su rostro. Siga dando forma al área
de la mejilla, a las patillas y al nacimiento
del pelo.
EL RECORTE
1. El peine accesorio de 5 posiciones le
permite ajustar lo largo del recorte de 3mm (lo
más corto) a 16mm (lo más largo).
2. Cuando quiera usar el peine accesorio,
ensártelo sobre las cuchillas. Use la posición
más larga (16mm) hasta que se acostumbre
al tamaño del recorte (siempre podrá volver a
acortar la barba).
3. Corte su barba con movimientos suaves y
parejos. Empiece por las patillas, luego baje
hacia la quijada. Nunca corte la barba en la
dirección opuesta a la del crecimiento del pelo.
El recorte resultaría demasiado corto.

Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose hair that has collected in the blades. Then store the trimmer in its storage base to protect the blades until the next use. Be especially careful when changing or adjusting blades. When you have your trimmer serviced, be sure that both blades are sharpened or replaced at the same time. To promote the long life of the appliance, use your trimmer only for the purpose intended by the manufacturer – to trim your beard and mustache. THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL The Conair trimmer taper control switch is positioned at the back of the unit. You can hold the trimmer in your hand and adjust the switch as needed. The taper control eliminates the need in some situations for an attachment comb because it lets you gradually adjust the closeness of the cut. For closest cut and shortest hair, push switch all the way to level #3. To increase the cutting length, slowly push control down to level #2 or #1 for longer cut. Note that too much clipped hair on the clipper can slow down its operation. To remove it without removing the blades simply use the enclosed cleaning brush and gently sweep away the clipped hair from cutting surfaces. TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER OILING THE BLADES About once a month you should oil the trimmer blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best to do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the trimmer on and hold it so that the blades are pointed downward. Spread one drop of oil across Battery Position GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE and work downward toward your chin. (Never attempt to trim against the natural growth of your beard because the hair will be cut too short.) 4. If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5position comb attachment to a shorter setting (such as 1/2” or 3/8”) and go over your beard again until you achieve the desired length. It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp beard. 2. After you have combed through your beard in the direction it grows naturally, you will want to outline the desired shape, beginning under your jawline. 3. Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and work upward on each side of your face toward your ears. Being careful not to bend the clips, insert the negative end of each battery first so it will slip easily into position. 3. Return the battery cover to its original position by pushing it in and up until you hear a small click as it locks into place. 4. To use your trimmer, push ON/OFF switch upwards to ON position. 5. After you finish using your trimmer, push down on the ON/OFF switch to turn the trimmer off. 6. For your convenience, the trimmer comes with a storage base to hold the trimmer and accessories. To remove the blade set: • Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position • With the power switch facing you, press the blade on the teeth and in direction away from you until they pop out of the housing To replace the blade set: • Make sure the taper control is set to the longest #1position. • Looking at the trimmer from above you will see a notch at the back of the trimmer. • There is a tab on the blade set on the bottom, opposite the blades Position that tab so that it fits into the notch inside the trimmer head Push the blade set down onto the trimmer head until it snaps into place. Detach normal trimming blade (see “Removing Blade Set” instructions) Similar to attaching the normal trimming blade, looking at the trimmer from above you will see a notch at the back of the trimmer. 3. Fit the tab on the back of the nose trimmer into the notch inside the trimmer head 4. Push the nose trimmer towards the front of the trimmer until it snaps into place 5. Turn the on/off switch to the “on” position 6. Gently use the trimmer to trim away long nose hairs and ear hairs being very careful not to insert the trimmer too far into the ear or nose. The trimmer should go no farther than the inside edge of your nose or ear. 7.
