Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (RR) through the METAL BRACKETS and into the BASE. Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day. The unit may collapse. Make equal margins along the top and both side edges of the SMALL BACK (D2). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". Fasten the bottom edge of the SMALL BACK (D2) to the BACK (XX). Use six BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (RR). Fasten the top and both side edges of your SMALL BACK to your unit using the NAILS (UU). RR Cut-out are used for lifting BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (6 used in this step) Tighten eight HIDDEN CAMS in the BACKS (XX) Cut-out are used for lifting XX D2 XX UU NAIL (12 used in this step) Caution Risk of damage or injury. HIDDEN CAMS must be completely tightened. HIDDEN CAMS that are not completely tightened may loosen, and parts may separate. Gently tilt the DRAWER SIDES side to side until the tabs slip into the slots. 2 With the palm of your hand, tap the DRAWER BOTTOM down into the groove. Groove å Insert the LARGE DRAWER SIDES (D22 and D23) at an angle into the slot at each end of the LARGE DRAWER FRONT (G2). 3 Maximum 210 degrees Arrow Slide the DRAWER BOTTOM (D981) into the grooves in the LARGE DRAWER SIDES (D22 and D23) and LARGE DRAWER FRONT (G2). å 4 Start each screw a few turns before completely tightening any of them. 30S Minimum 190 degrees BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREW (15 used in this step) M64 D175 D22 M64 Surface with HIDDEN CAM å Fasten the DRAWER BRACE (M64) to the LARGE DRAWER FRONT (G2). You may need to gently tap them in with a hammer. å NOTE: The DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS are marked "RH" and "LH" for easy identification. å Fasten the SMALL DRAWER FRONT (L2) to the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS (Z). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (RR). D271 Be sure the DRAWER BOTTOM inserts into the DRAWER FRONT groove. å 3 Slide the DRAWER BOTTOM (D981) into the grooves in the SMALL DRAWER SIDES (D245 and D271) and SMALL DRAWER FRONT (L2). Use five BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS. (30S). å NOTE: Be sure the METAL PINS in the DRAWER DIVIDER insert into the SMALL DRAWER BACK. Insert the METAL PINS (JJ) in one end of the DRAWER DIVIDER (D451) into the holes in the SMALL DRAWER FRONT (L2). Insert the SAFETY DRYWALL ANCHOR (61M) through the WASHER (13M) and one end of the SAFETY STRAP (60M). 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver or a hand drill, press screw slightly onto the drywall. 3. Apply pressure; turn the screw until a pilot hole is made and the nylon sheath slips through. 4. Turn the screw until it is flush against the wall and you feel a firm resistance. 5. Continue to turn until the screw starts spinning freely. å Carefully cut out the perforated hole in the SMALL BACK (D2). Insert the other end of the SAFETY STRAP (60M) through this hole, then use a BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (RR) through the SAFETY STRAP and into the pre-drilled hole in the underside of the TOP. å NOTE: Before moving your unit to a different location, unscrew the SAFETY DRYWALL ANCHOR (61M) from your wall. The nylon sheath will remain behind your wall. Position your unit in its final location. We recommend using the SAFETY STRAP (60M) for added stability. NOTE: Do not turn the SAFETY DRYWALL ANCHOR (61M) into a wall stud. If you prefer to fasten the SAFETY STRAP (60M) to a wall stud, go to your local hardware store for proper hardware. D2 13M 61M 60M RR BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (1 used in this step) Page 20 401291 www.sauder.com/services Step 16 å To insert the drawers into your unit, tip the front of the drawers down and drop the rollers on the drawers behind the rollers on the unit. Lift the front of the drawers up and slide them into the unit. å NOTE: To adjust the SMALL DRAWER FRONT, loosen the SCREWS that attach the DRAWER FRONT to the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS. Make adjustments and tighten the SCREWS. L2 G2 G2 G2 www.sauder.com/services 401291 Page 21 Step 17 å Apply the WARNING LABEL (VV) to the SMALL LEFT DRAWER SIDE (D271). You should be able to read the label when the drawer is open. When the drawer is closed, it will hide the label. Peel off the backing and apply the label as shown in the diagram. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Ensuite, insérer l'extrémité en métal de la CHEVILLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. Fixer huit CONSOLES EN MÉTAL (AA) aux ENTRETOISES (M58). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (RR). REMARQUE : S'assurer que les CONSOLES À ÉQUERRE sont à fleur des chants des ENTRETOISES. Fixer les ENTRETOISES (M58) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2). Fixer le SOCLE (M37) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (RR) à travers les CONSOLES EN MÉTAL et dans le SOCLE. ÉTAPE 3 Enfoncer deux CONNECTEURS DE MOULURE (CC) dans les crans des MOULURES (M77, R et S). ÉTAPE 4 Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Fixer la MOULURE GAUCHE (S) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (NN). ÉTAPE 5 Insérer les CHEVILLES D’EXCENTRIQUE sur les ARRIÈRES (XX) dans les trous dans l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2). REMARQUE : S’assurer de placer les ARRIÈRES comme l’indiquent le schéma. Ne pas serrer les EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES à ce stade. ÉTAPE 6 Fixer l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2) à la MOULURE DROITE (R). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (NN). REMARQUE : S’assurer de bien insérer les CHEVILLES D’EXCENTRIQUE dans les ARRIÈRES (XX) dans les trous de l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE. Ne pas serrer les EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES à ce stade. Page 24 ÉTAPE 9 Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Avec précaution, retourner l'élément sur ses chants avant pour serrer les huit EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES situées sur les ARRIÈRES (XX). Placer ensuite le PETIT ARRIÈRE (D2) sur l'élément. Veiller à avoir des marges égales le long des chants supérieur et latéraux de le PETIT ARRIÈRE (D2). Si besoin est, enfoncer sur les coins opposés de l'élément pour s'assurer d'être « d'équerre ». Fixer le chant inférieur de le PETIT ARRIÈRE (D2) à l’ARRIÈRE (XX). Utiliser six VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (RR). Fixer les chants supérieur et latéraux de le PETIT ARRIÈRE à l'élément à l'aide des CLOUS (UU). Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés.
