INTRODUCCIÓN
El KPS-DT20 es un detector de tensión de doble polo diseñado de acuerdo a la norma VDE
0680, apartado 5. El detector de tensión proporciona un método rápido y sencillo de
comprobar la tensión AC y DC dentro de la escala de 6V a 380V. Puede ser también
utilizado para realizar pruebas de polaridad en tensión DC.
El detector de tensión consta de dos empuñaduras de prueba (A) y (B) conectadas
mediante un cable. La empuñadura de prueba A se encuentra equipada con una pantalla
de visualización.
Advertencias
• Lea, entienda y siga las reglas de seguridad y las instrucciones de funcionamiento de este
manual antes de utilizar este instrumento.
• Sujete el instrumento únicamente por las punteras aisladas y no toque las puntas
metálicas de prueba.
• Inmediatamente antes de su utilización compruebe el funcionamiento del detector. No lo
utilice si detecta cualquier anomalía.
• Compruebe todas las funciones en fuentes de alimentación conocidas. Por ejemplo, para
la comprobación de la tensión DC se puede utilizar una batería de coche y para la
comprobación de tensión AC una toma de 220V. Si funciona de manera anormal deje de
utilizarlo inmediatamente.
• El comprobador de tensión sólo debe ser utilizado dentro de la escala de tensión
nominal de 6V a 380V.
• No conecte el instrumento durante más de cuarenta segundos a una fuente de tensión.
Después de una medición de 40 segundos no utilice el instrumento durante 5 minutos.
• El detector de tensión únicamente tiene un correcto funcionamiento en un intervalo de
temperatura de -30ºC a +50ºC.
• No desmonte el comprobador de tensión.
• Es importante mantener límpia la superficie del detector.

INTRODUCTION
The KPS-DT20 is a double pole voltage tester according to the VDE 0680 mark. The
instrument is designed to test AC and DC voltage within a scale from 6 to 380V. It can
also be used for polarity testing on DC voltage.
The voltage tester has two test handles (A) and (B) and a connection cable. Test
handle A is fitted with a display screen.
Warnings
• Read, understand and follow the Safety Rules and Operating Instructions in this manual
before using this instrument.
• Hold the instrument only by the insulated cable ends and do not touch the test ends.
• Immediately prior to use check the correct working order of the voltage tester. The
tester must not be used if any fault is detected.
• Check all of the functions on known power supplies. For example, to test DC voltage a
car battery may be used and a 220V inlet can be used to test AC voltage. Do not use the
voltage tester until all of its functions are working correctly.
• The voltage tester must only be used within a nominal voltage scale from 6 to 380 V.
• Never connect the voltage tester to voltage for more than forty seconds. After a 40
second measurement at 380V DC do not use the instrument for 5 minutes.
• The voltage tester will only work correctly within the temperature range of -30ºC to
+50ºC.
• Do not dismantle the voltage tester.
• It is important to keep the surface of the voltage tester clean.
