Do not connect the appliance to extension cords, adapters or together with another appliance in the same wall outlet. Do not splice the power cord. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified person in order to avoid hazard. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a licensed electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way. Do not store or use combustible materials such as gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. Do not insert fingers or other objects into grills or openings in the appliance. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not operate this appliance in an area that is likely to accumulate standing water. If this condition develops, disconnect the power supply before stepping into the water. Do not cover or block the intake and exhaust openings. Do not operate the appliance without the filter installed. This appliance complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.05 parts per million by volume in a 24 hour period. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based on an average of 8 hours, is 0.02 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed, controlled room approximately 30 m3. Do not operate the appliance near heat sources. This appliance is intended for indoor, residential applications only. Do not use this appliance outdoors. Do not use this appliance for commercial or industrial applications. Warning - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS! 2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FILTER INSTALLATION LOCATION Ensure that the filter is properly installed before using the appliance. To achieve the most efficient results and allow for proper air flow, keep the appliance at least 30 cm (12 inches) away from all walls and furniture. 1. Remove the filter from the air purifier. To avoid interference from metal objects, keep the appliance at least 50 cm (20 inches) away from metal objects and electrical appliances. 2. Remove the packaging from the filter. 3. Install the filter. 1 2 3 3 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CARE & MAINTENANCE CONTROL PANEL AIR FILTER 1. Power button: Press to turn the air purifier on or off. Unplug the appliance before removing or cleaning the filter. 2. Fan button: Press to set the fan speed. Press and hold for 3 seconds to set auto mode. In auto mode the air purifier will automatically adjust the purification quantity based on internal sensors. The filter can be cleaned with a brush or vacuum. Do not use water on the filter as the plastic can deform. Press and hold the ionizer button for 3 seconds to reset the filter after cleaning. 3. Timer button: Press repeatedly to set the timer amount. The adjacent indicator light will show the timer amount. The air purifier will run for the set amount of time and then shut off. In households with pets or smokers, the filter may need to be cleaned more often to remove smells. The air filter should be replaced when the filter light on the control panel flashes. 4. Sleep button: Press to set the sleep feature. The sleep feature will dim the control panel lights except for the sleep light. Ionizer button: Press to set the ionizer feature. Press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the filter after cleaning. NOTE: Replacement filters are not covered under warranty and must be purchased separately. Filter model number: DAP152I-F CLEANING • Unplug the appliance before cleaning or servicing. • Clean the cabinet with a lukewarm damp cloth and neutral detergent. Dry the cabinet with a lint-free dry cloth. • Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the appliance. • Do not wash the appliance directly under a tap or using a hose. Débranchez l’appareil avant de retirer ou de nettoyer le filtre. 2. Bouton du ventilateur: appuyez pour régler la vitesse du ventilateur. Appuyez et maintenez pendant 3 secondes pour régler le mode automatique. En mode automatique, le purificateur d’air ajustera automatiquement la quantité de purification en fonction des capteurs internes. Le filtre peut être nettoyé avec une brosse ou un aspirateur. N’utilisez pas d’eau sur le filtre car le plastique peut se déformer. 3. Bouton Minuterie: Appuyez plusieurs fois pour régler la durée de la minuterie. Le voyant lumineux adjacent affichera la quantité de minuterie. Le purificateur d’air fonctionnera pendant la durée définie, puis s’éteindra. Dans les ménages avec des animaux domestiques ou des fumeurs, le filtre peut avoir besoin d’être nettoyé plus souvent pour éliminer les odeurs. Appuyez sur le bouton du ioniseur et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant 3 secondes pour réinitialiser le filtre après le nettoyage.
