1. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code ANSI/NFPA 70-1999 and local electrical codes. Electrical

installation should be performed by a qualified licensed

electrician.

2. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted

and capable of reliably supporting 35 lbs. (15.9 kg). Use only UL

Listed outlet boxes marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of 35

lbs. (15.9 kg) or less.”

3. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2 m) clearance

from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.

4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are

in motion. You must turn the fan off and stop the blades before

you reverse the blade direction.

5. Do not place objects in the path of the blades.

6. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are

not packed with the fan must be UL-listed and marked suitable

for use with the model fan you are installing. Switches must be

UL General Use Switches. Refer to the instructions packaged

with the light kits and switches for proper assembly.

7. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should

be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.

The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor

and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the

outlet box.

8. All set screws must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

9. Suitable for damp location.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury,

do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as

anges) during assembly or after installation. Do not

insert objects in the path of the blades.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric

shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed

control device.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on

the bottom of the fan before installing the blades or

testing the motor.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock,

turn the electricity off at the main fuse box before

wiring. If you feel you do not have enough electrical

wiring knowledge or experience, contact a licensed

electrician.

Warranty

The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a life-

time after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The supplier also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades,

to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date of purchase

by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior model if the

product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing and reinstalling

the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident or misuse or improper installation or by afxing any accessories, is

not covered by this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover any changes in brass nish, including rusting,

pitting, corroding, tarnishing, or peeling. Brass nishes of this type give their longest useful life when protected from varying weather conditions.

A certain amount of “wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons shall render the

warranty invalid. There is no other express warranty. Hampton Bay hereby disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to those

of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be

disclaimed is limited to the time period as specied in the express warranty. Some states do not allow a limitation on how long an implied war-

ranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. The retailer shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages arising

out of or in connection with product use or performance except as may otherwise be accorded by law. Some states do not allow the exclusion of

Installation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock

or personal injury, mount to an outlet box marked

“Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or

less,” and use the screws provided with the outlet

box. An outlet box commonly used for the support

of lighting xtures may not be acceptable for fan

support and may need to be replaced. If in doubt,

consult a qualied electrician.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. Use

the appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and

its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the

moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box.

If the canopy (C) touches the downrod, then remove the decorative

canopy bottom cover, and turn the canopy 180° before attaching the

canopy to the mounting plate.

To hang your fan where there is an existing xture but no ceiling joist,

you may need an installation hanger bar as shown above

(available at any Home Depot store).

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain

proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped

ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 30° away from

horizontal.

Preparing for standard mounting

□ Loosen, but do not remove, the setscrew (QQ) on the collar

(M) on top of the motor housing (D).

□ Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod (B) with the

holes in the collar (M) on top of the motor housing (D).

□ Carefully insert the hanger pin (CC) through the holes in the

collar (M) and downrod (B). Be careful not to jam the hanger

pin (CC) against the wiring inside the downrod (B).

□ Insert the locking pin (DD) through the hole near the end of

the hanger pin (CC) until it snaps into its locked position.

□ Re-tighten the setscrew (QQ) on the collar (M) on top of

the motor housing (D).

□ Remove the canopy ring (L) from the canopy (C) by turning

the ring to the right until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the four screws (SS) on the top of the canopy (C).

□ Remove the two non-slotted screws, and loosen the slotted

screws. This will enable you to remove the mounting bracket

(A).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (D) into

the decorative motor collar cover (F) and through the

canopy ring (L).

□ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the

wires through the canopy (C) and then through the ball/

downrod assembly (B).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the locking pin (DD)

could result in the fan becoming loose and possibly

falling.

WARNING: Failure to properly install set screw (QQ) could

result in fan loosening and possibly falling.

□ Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the

mounting bracket (A).

provided with the outlet box.

□ Remove the canopy ring (L) from the canopy (C) by turning the

ring to the right until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the four screws (SS) on the top of the canopy (C).

□ Remove the two non-slotted screws and loosen the slotted

screws.

□ Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (N) from the

canopy (C) by depressing the three studs.

□ Remove three of the six screws and lockwashers (II) (every

other one) securing the motor collar (M) to the top of the fan

motor housing (D).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor assembly (D)

through the rubber gasket (GG), canopy ring (L) and ceiling

canopy (C) (make sure the slot openings are on top); place

the rubber gasket (GG) over the remaining three screws, then

proceed to place the ceiling canopy (C) over the motor collar

(M).

□ Align the mounting holes with the holes in the motor (D) and

fasten, using the three screws and lockwashers (II) removed

previously. Tighten the mounting screws securely.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, turn the electricity

off at the main fuse box before wiring. If you feel you do not have

enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience, contact a

licensed electrician.

□ Install the ceiling mounting bracket (A) on the outlet box (OO) by

sliding the mounting bracket (A) over the two screws (JJ) provided with

the outlet box (OO). If necessary, use leveling washers (not included)

between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box (OO). Note that

the at side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box

(OO). When using close-to-ceiling mounting, it is important that the

mounting bracket (A) be level.

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws (JJ).

Hanging the fan

□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (D) up to the mounting

bracket (A).

□ Seat the hanger ball portion of the ball/downrod assembly (B)

in the mounting bracket socket. Ensure that the tab on the

mounting bracket (A) socket is properly seated in the groove

in the hanger ball. If using close-to-ceiling mounting, hang the

fan on the hook provided by utilizing one of the holes at the

outer rim of the ceiling canopy (C).

WARNING: The hook is only to hold the fan while attaching

wiring. Failure to hang the fan properly by following these

instructions may result in the hook breaking, causing the fan

to fall. The hook must pass from inside to the outside of the

canopy.

Making the electrical connection

□ Connect the ground conductor of the 120-Volt supply (this

may be a bare wire or a wire with green colored insulation) to

the green ground lead(s) (KK) of the fan using a plastic wire

connecting nut (BB). When using standard ceiling mounting,

there are two green grounding leads; one from the ceiling

mounting bracket and one from the ball/downrod assembly.

When using close to ceiling mounting, there is only one green

grounding lead from the ceiling mounting bracket since the

ball/downrod assembly is not used.

□ If you are using the optional light kit, connect the fan light

supply blue wire (LL) and the fan supply black wire (MM) to

the black household supply wire (MM) using a plastic wire

connecting nut (BB).

□ Connect the neutral fan white wire (NN) to the white neutral

household wire (NN) using a plastic wire connecting nut (BB).

□ After connecting the wires, spread them apart so that the

green (KK) and white wires (NN) are one side of the outlet box

(OO) and the black wire (MM) is on the other side.

□ Turn the wire connecting nuts upward, and carefully push the

wiring into the outlet box (OO).

WARNING: Use the wire connecting nuts (BB) supplied with your

fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure there

are no loose strands or connections.

WARNING: Each wire nut supplied with this fan is designed to

accept up to one 12-gauge house wire and two wires from the

fan. If you have larger than 12-gauge house wiring or more than

one house wire to connect to the fan wiring, consult an electrician

for the proper size wire nuts to use.

Assembly - Attaching the Fan Blades

□ Attach blade (G) to blade bracket (H) using the screws (AA)

provided. Please note that the rubber washers are pre-

attached to the blade bracket (H). Insert a screw into the

blade bracket (H). Repeat for the two remaining screws (AA).

□ Tighten each screw securely.

□ Repeat these steps for the remaining blades.

Mounting the fan - standard Mounting the fan close-to-ceiling

□ Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws (SS) in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage

the slots, and turn clockwise to lock the canopy (C) in place.

□ Firmly tighten the two mounting screws (SS).

□ Install the remaining two mounting screws (SS) into the holes

in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ Install the decorative canopy ring (L) by aligning the ring’s

slots with the screws in the canopy (C). Rotate the canopy

ring (L) counter-clockwise to lock it in place.

WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the

tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in

the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in

the groove could cause damage to the wiring.

WARNING: The locking slots of the ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

□ Carefully unhook the fan from the mounting bracket (A) and

align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws (SS) in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage

the slots and turn clockwise to lock the canopy (C) in place.

Immediately tighten the two mounting screws (SS) rmly.

□ Install the remaining two mounting screws (SS) into the holes

in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ Install the decorative canopy ring (L) by aligning the ring’s

slots with the screws in the canopy (C). Rotate the canopy

ring (L) counter-clockwise to lock it in place.

Fastening the blade assemblies to

the motor

□ Remove the three screws from the black bracket below the

fan motor assembly (D).

□ Connect the wires from the switch cup (E) to the wires

from the black bracket below the fan motor assembly (D)

by connecting the molded adaptor plugs together. Carefully

tuck all wires and splices in the switch cup.

□ Position the switch cup (E) on the black bracket below the

fan motor assembly (D) and align the three holes in the

black bracket.

□ Re-install the three screws removed in the step 1 to secure

the switch cup (E).

□ Fasten the blade assembly to the motor (D) by inserting the

alignment post into the slot on the bottom of the motor (D)

and tightening the blade bracket screws (TT). Please note

that the blade bracket screws (TT) are pre-attached into the

blade bracket (H).

□ Repeat this step for the remaining blade assemblies.

□ Remove the three screws from the black bracket below the

fan motor assembly (D).

□ Remove the hex nut and lockwasher from the top of the

light kit tter assembly (I).

□ Attach the light kit tter assembly (I) to the switch cup (E)

by rst removing the plastic plug (PP) in the bottom center

hole of the switch cup (E). Insert the wires from the top of

the light kit tter assembly (I) through the center hole in

the bottom of the switch cup (E) secured with the hex nut

and lockwasher removed in the second step.

□ Connect the wires from the light kit to the blue and white

wires in the switch cup (E) marked for light kit connection,

see Assembly section 6 on page 9 for wiring.

□ Connect the wires from the switch cup (E) to the wires

from the black bracket below the fan motor assembly (D)

by connecting the molded adaptor plugs together. Carefully

tuck all wires and splices in the switch cup (E).

□ Position switch cup (E) on the black bracket below the fan

motor assembly (D) and align the three holes in the black

bracket.

□ Re-install the three screws removed in rst step in this

section to secure the switch cup (E).

□ Remove the bottom cover and nial from the threaded

nipple of the light kit tter assembly (I).

□ With power off, install the two LED bulbs (Max. 9.5W,

included) (K) by screwing them into the light bulb sockets.

□ Position the glass bowl (J) over the threaded nipple.

□ Re-install the bottom cover to the threaded nipple to secure

the glass bowl (J) properly.

□ Re-install and tighten the nial.

□ Attach the pull chain extensions (EE) provided to the light

pull chain and the fan pull chain.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect

the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing the

light xture.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect

the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing the

light xture.

CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the hex nut. Over-tightening

the hex nut may cause the glass bowl (J) to break.

NOTE: Notice the location of the fan’s reverse switch (RR).

This is the switch used to change the fan’s directional

rotation. For more information on the operation of this switch,

see Operating Your Fan on page 13.

Operating your Fan

Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan. The pull

chain controls the fan speeds as follows:

1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, 4 pulls - off

The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depend

on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of

fans.

The slide switch controls the direction of the blades: forward

(switch left) or reverse (switch right).

Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airow creates a cooling ef-

fect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting

without affecting your comfort.

Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airow moves warm air off of

the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler set-

ting without affecting your comfort.

NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of

blade rotation.

WARNING: To reduce the risk personal injury. Do not bend the

blade holders while installing, balancing the blades, or cleaning

the fan. Do not insert objects between rotating blades.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

The fan will not start. □ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

The fan is noisy. □ Ensure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Ensure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.

□ Ensure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.

□ If you are using the Ceiling Fan light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light

bulbs are also secure.

□ Ensure the canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Ensure your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box.

The fan wobbles. □ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.

□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on

the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on

the ceiling. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for

each blade. Any measurement deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan for ten minutes. Run the fan for ten

minutes. If the fan continues to wobble please contact Customer Service and a balacing kit will be sent to you at

no charge.

□ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, as this could damage

the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish.

□ You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood for additional protection and enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a

light application of shoe polish.

□ You do not need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off before cleaning

your fan.

1. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de

4. No muevas el interruptor de reversa mientras las aspas del

ventilador estén en movimiento. Debes apagar el ventilador y

detener las aspas antes de invertir la dirección de las aspas.

5. No coloques objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.

6. Los diagramas eléctricos son sólo para referencia. Los kits de

luces no empaquetados con el ventilador deben estar aprobados

por UL y marcados como apropiados para ser usados con el

modelo de ventilador a instalar. Los interruptores deberán

estar clasicados por el UL como de Uso General. Consulta las

instrucciones adjuntas a los juegos de luces e interruptores para

obtener información sobre el montaje adecuado.

7. Después de concluir con las conexiones eléctricas, debes

voltear los conductores empalmados hacia arriba y meterlos

con cuidado en la caja eléctrica. Los cables deben estar

separados, con el cable a tierra y el conductor a tierra del

equipo en uno de los lados de la caja eléctrica.

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, no

dobles los soportes de las aspas (también llamados

“bridas”) durante o después de la instalación. No

coloques ningún objeto en la trayectoria de las aspas.

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio,

descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, instala

en una caja eléctrica clasicada como “apropiada

para sostener ventiladores de 15.9 kg o menos” y

usa tornillos de montaje que vienen con la misma.

Las cajas eléctricas utilizadas comúnmente para

el soporte de artículos de iluminación pueden no

servir como soporte de ventilador y tal vez deban

reemplazarse. En caso de duda, consulta a un

electricista calicado.

Si tu ventilador de techo no tiene una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los

cortacircuitos.

□ Asegura la caja eléctrica directamente a la estructura del

edicio. Usa sujetadores y materiales apropiados. La caja

eléctrica y su soporte deben sostener el peso completo del

ventilador en movimiento (al menos 35 lb). No uses una caja

eléctrica de plástico.

Las ilustraciones a continuación muestran tres formas diferentes

de montar la caja eléctrica.

Si la cubierta (C) toca el tubo bajante, retira la tapa inferior decorativa de

la cubierta y gira la cubierta 180º antes de jarla a la placa de montaje.

Para colgar el ventilador donde ya haya una lámpara pero ninguna

viga de techo, tal vez necesites una barra colgante como se muestra

anteriormente (disponible en cualquier tienda de The Home Depot).

NOTA: Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo para

mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas, al

instalar el ventilador en un techo inclinado. El ángulo

máximo permitido es de 30º de la posición horizontal.

Cómo ensamblar el ventilador

Cómo preparar un montaje estándar

□ Aoja, sin quitar, el tornillo de ajuste (QQ) del collarín (M) ubica-

do en la parte superior de la carcasa de motor (D).

□ Alinea los oricios en la parte inferior del tubo bajante (B) con

los oricios en el collarín (M) de la parte superior de la carcasa

de motor (D).

□ Inserta con cuidado el pasador de soporte (CC) a través de los

oricios del collarín (M) y del tubo bajante (B). Ten cuidado de no

forzar el pasador de soporte (CC) contra el cableado dentro del

tubo bajante (B).

□ Inserta el pasador de cierre (DD) en el oricio cercano al extremo del

pasador de soporte (CC) hasta que quede encajado en su posición.

□ Vuelve a apretar el tornillo de ajuste (QQ) del collarín (M) ubi-

cado en la parte superior de la carcasa del motor (D).

□ Retira el aro (L) de la cubierta (C), girándolo hacia la derecha

hasta soltarlo.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C) aojando

los cuatro tornillos (SS) en la parte superior de la cubierta (C).

□ Quita los dos tornillos sin ranura y aoja los tornillos ranura-

dos. Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del

motor del ventilador (D) en la cubierta decorativa del

collarín del motor (F) y a través del aro de la cubierta (L).

□ Asegúrate de que las ranuras estén en la parte superior

y pasa los cables a través de la cubierta (C) y luego a

través del ensamblaje del tubo bajante/bola (B).

ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador de

cierre (DD) es posible que el ventilador se aoje y caiga.

ADVERTENCIA: Si no colocas correctamente los tornillos de ajuste

(QQ), se podrían aojar y posiblemente se caiga el ventilador.

Ensamblaje - Montaje Cerca del Techo

Ensamblaje — Colgar el Ventilador

Instalar el ventilador en la caja eléctrica

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 Voltios a través del

oricio central en el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Instala el soporte de montaje de techo (A) sobre la caja eléctrica

(OO) deslizando el soporte de montaje (A) sobre los dos tornillos (JJ)

suministrados con la caja eléctrica (OO). Si es necesario, usa arandelas

niveladoras (no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje (A) y la caja

eléctrica (OO). Ten en cuenta que el lado plano del soporte de montaje

(A) esté hacia la caja eléctrica (OO). Cuando uses el montaje “cerca del

techo”, es importante que el soporte de montaje (A) esté nivelado.

□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (JJ).

□ Quita los dos tornillos sin ranura y aoja los tornillos ranurados.

□ Retira la cubierta inferior decorativa (N) de la cubierta (C)

oprimiendo los tres montantes.

□ Retira tres de los seis tornillos y arandelas de seguridad (II)

(alternados) que sujetan el collarín (M) del motor a la parte

superior de la carcasa del motor (D).

□ Pasa los cables que salen de la parte superior del motor del

ventilador (D) a través de la junta de goma (GG), el aro de la

cubierta (L) y la cubierta de techo (C); asegúrate de que las

ranuras estén en la parte superior). Coloca la junta de goma

(GG) sobre los tres tornillos restantes, luego procede a colocar

la cubierta de techo (C) sobre el collarín del motor (M).

□ Alinea los oricios de montaje con los oricios del motor (D) y

asegura con los tres tornillos y arandelas de seguridad (II) que

retiraste anteriormente. Asegúrate de ajustar bien los tornillos

de montaje.

Colgar el Ventilador

□ Con cuidado alza el ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (D)

hasta el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Coloca la bola de soporte del ensamblaje del tubo bajante/bola (B)

en el soporte de montaje. Asegúrate de que la pestaña sobre el

soporte de montaje (A) encaje bien dentro de la ranura de la bola

de soporte. Si vas a usar el montaje cerca del techo, cuelga el

ventilador del gancho suministrado usando uno de los oricios

en el borde exterior de la cubierta de techo (C).

ADVERTENCIA: El gancho debe usarse para sostener el ventilador

solamente mientras se conectan los cables. Si no se cuelga

el ventilador correctamente siguiendeo estas instrucciones, el

gancho puede romperse y el ventilador se caerá. El gancho debe

pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la cubierta.

Cómo hacer las conexiones eléctricas

□ Conecta el conductor a tierra del cable de 120 Voltios (puede

ser un cable desnudo o un cable con aislante verde) al (los)

cable(s) terminal(es) a tierra verde(s) (KK) del ventilador usando

una tuerca de plástico para conectar cables (BB). Cuando uses

el montaje de techo estándar, habrán dos cables terminales a

tierra verdes; uno desde el soporte de montaje de techo y otro

desde el ensamblado del tubo bajante y la bola. Cuando uses

el montaje “cerca del techo”, habrá solamente un cable a tierra

verde, del soporte de montaje de techo; esto se debe a que el

ensamblado de tubo bajante y bola no se utiliza.

□ Si usas el kit de luces opcional, conecta el cable de

suministro (azul) de la luz del ventilador (LL) y el cable de

suministro (negro) del ventilador (MM) al cable de suministro

negro del circuito doméstico (MM) usando una tuerca de

plástico para conexión de cables (BB).

□ Conecta el cable neutro (blanco) del ventilador (NN) al cable

neutro blanco del circuito eléctrico de la casa (NN), usando

una tuerca de plástico para conectar cables (BB).

□ Después de conectar los cables, sepáralos de manera que los

cables verde (KK) y blanco (NN) queden de un lado de la caja

eléctrica (OO) y el cable negro (MM) del otro.

□ Gira las tuercas de conexión del cable hacia arriba y con

cuidado coloca el cableado dentro de la caja eléctrica (OO).

IMPORTANTE: Usa las tuercas de conexión de cables

(BB) que vienen con tu ventilador. Sujeta los conectores

con cinta de electricista y asegúrate de que no hayan

conexiones o cables sueltos.

ADVERTENCIA: Cada tuerca para cable incluida con este ventilador

está diseñada para sostener cables domésticos de calibre máximo

de 12 y dos cables del ventilador. Si tienes un cableado doméstico

de calibre superior a 12, o vas a conectar más de un cable

doméstico al sistema de cableado del ventilador, consulta a un

electricista acerca del tamaño adecuado para las tuercas de cable.

□ Fija el aspa (G) a su soporte (H) con los tornillos provistos

(AA). Observa que las arandelas de goma están jadas en el

soporte del aspa (H). Inserta el tornillo en el soporte del aspa

(H). Repite para los otros dos tornillos (AA).

□ Aprieta todos los tornillos rmemente.

□ Repite estos pasos para las aspas restantes.

□ Alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta de techo (C) con

los dos tornillos (SS) del soporte de montaje (A). Alza para

enganchar en las ranuras y gira de izquierda a derecha para

asegurar la cubierta (C) en su sitio.

□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (SS).

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (SS) restantes en los

oricios de la cubierta (C) y aprieta rmemente.

□ Instala el aro de cubierta decorativa (L) alineando las ranuras

del aro con los tornillos en la cubierta (C). Rota el aro (L)

en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj para jarlo.

ADVERTENCIA: Cuando uses el montaje de tubo bajante y bola

estándar, la pestaña en el aro en la parte inferior del soporte

de montaje debe encajar en la ranura de la bola de soporte. Si

la pestaña no se asienta correctamente en la ranura, se puede

dañar el cableado.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de encaje de la cubierta del techo

sólo sirven de ayuda durante el montaje. No dejes sin supervisión

el ensamblaje del ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la

cubierta se jen y ajusten rmemente.

□ Con cuidado desengancha el ventilador del soporte de montaje

(A) y alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo (C)

con los dos tornillos (SS) en el soporte de montaje (A). Alza

para enganchar en las ranuras y gira de izquierda a derecha

para asegurar la cubierta (C) en su sitio. Inmediatamente

ajusta con rmeza los dos tornillos de montaje (SS).

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (SS) restantes en los

oricios de la cubierta (C) y aprieta rmemente.

□ Instala el aro de cubierta decorativa (L) alineando las ranuras

del aro con los tornillos en la cubierta (C). Rota el aro (L)

en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj para jarlo.

□ Quita los tres tornillos del soporte negro debajo del

ensamblado del motor del ventilador (D).

□ Conecta los cables del la caja del interruptor (E) a los

cables del soporte negro debajo del ensamblaje del motor

del ventilador (D), conectando juntos los enchufes con

adaptadores moldeados. Coloca con cuidado todos los

cables y empalmes dentro de la caja del interruptor.

□ Coloca la caja del interruptor (E) sobre el soporte negro

debajo del ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (D) y alinea

los tres oricios del soporte negro.

□ Vuelve a instalar los tres tornillos que retiraste en el paso 1

para asegurar la caja del interruptor (E).

□ Ajusta el ensamblaje del aspa al motor (D) insertando el poste

de alineación dentro de la ranura de la parte inferior del motor

(D) y apretando los tornillos del soporte del aspa (TT). Por favor,

ten en cuenta que los tornillos del soporte de aspa (TT) están

previamente instalados en el soporte del aspa (H).

□ Repite este paso para los ensamblajes de las aspas restantes.

□ Quita los tres tornillos del soporte negro debajo del

ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (D).

□ Retira la tuerca hexagonal y la arandela de seguridad de la parte

superior del ensamblaje del soporte del kit de luces (I).

□ Instala el ensamblaje del soporte del kit de luces (I) en la caja

del interruptor (E) quitando primero el enchufe de plástico (PP)

en el oricio central inferior de la caja del interruptor (E). Inserta

los cables desde la parte superior del ensamblaje del soporte del

kit de luces (I) a través del oricio central en la parte inferior de

la caja del interruptor (E), asegurados con la tuerca hexagonal y

la arandela de seguridad que retiraste en el segundo paso.

□ Conecta los cables del kit de luces a los cables azul y blanco en la

caja del interruptor (E), marcados para conexión del kit de luces;

ver la sección 6 de Ensamblaje en la página 9 para el cableado.

□ Conecta los cables del la caja del interruptor (E) a los

cables del soporte negro debajo del ensamblaje del motor

del ventilador (D), conectando juntos los enchufes con

adaptadores moldeados. Coloca con cuidado todos los cables

y empalmes dentro de la caja del interruptor (E).

□ Coloca la caja del interruptor (E) sobre el soporte negro debajo

del ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (D) y alinea los tres

oricios del soporte negro.

□ Vuelve a instalar los tres tornillos que retiraste en el primer

paso en esta sección para asegurar la caja del interruptor (E).

□ Retira la cubierta inferior y el remate de la boquilla roscada

del ensamblaje del soporte del kit de luces (I).

□ Con la electricidad apagada, instala las dos bombillas

LED (9.5 W Máx, incluidas) (K), enroscándolas en los

portabombillas.

□ Coloca el tazón de vidrio (J) sobre la boquilla roscada.

□ Reinstala la cubierta inferior en la boquilla roscada para

asegurar el tazón de vidrio (J) debidamente.

□ Reinstala el remate y apriétalo.

□ Instala las extensiones de las cadenas para halar (EE)

incluidas tanto para la cadena de kit de luces como para la

del ventilador.

el circuito de energía del ventilador antes de instalar la lámpara.

Cómo usar el Ventilador

Enciende la electricidad y verica el funcionamiento del ventilador.

El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del ventilador de la

siguiente manera:

1 vez: Alto, 2: Medio, 3: Bajo, 4: Apagado.

Las conguraciones de velocidad para clima cálido o frío dependen

de factores como tamaño de la habitación, altura del techo y la

cantidad de ventiladores.

El interruptor deslizante controla la dirección de las aspas: hacia

delante (interruptor hacia la izquierda) o reversa (interruptor hacia

la derecha).

Clima cálido - (Hacia adelante) Un ujo de aire hacia abajo crea un

efecto refrescante. Esto te permite jar tu aire acondicionado a una

temperatura más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

Clima frío - (Reversa) Un ujo de aire hacia arriba mueve el aire cá-

lido lejos del techo. Esto te permite jar tu unidad de calefacción en

una conguración más baja sin afectar tu comodidad.

NOTA:Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de invertir la

dirección de giro de las aspas.

ADVERTENCIA:Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, no doblar los

brazos del aspa (H) durante la instalación, compensación de las

aspas (G) o limpieza del ventilador. No insertes objetos entre las

aspas cuando estén en funcionamiento.

□ Revisa los fusibles o disyuntores principales y secundarios.

□ Verica las conexiones de cables en línea al ventilador y las conexiones de cables del interruptor en la caja

de interruptores.

El ventilador hace

ruido.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el soporte de aspa al cuerpo del motor están bien ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras o con la pared interior de la caja

del interruptor.

□ Permite un período de 24 horas de “adaptación”. La mayoría de los ruidos asociados con un nuevo ventilador

desaparecen en ese período.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de Ventilador de Techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén bien

colocados. Verica que las bombillas estén bien aseguradas.

□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debe tocar el techo.

□ Asegúrate de que tu caja eléctrica y las almohadillas aislantes de goma sean instaladas entre la placa de mon-

taje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador oscila. □ Verica que todas las aspas y tornillos de los brazos de aspas estén seguros.

□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están a un mismo nivel.

Verica este nivel seleccionando un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas. Mide desde un punto

en el centro de cada aspa al punto en el techo. Mide esta distancia. Gira el ventilador hasta que la próxima aspa

quede posicionada para medir. Repite para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición deben estar dentro de

un rango de 0.3 cm. Enciende el ventilador durante diez minutos. Si el ventilador continúa oscilando, comunícate

con el servicio al cliente y te enviarán un kit de compensación de aspas, sin costo alguno.

□ Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aojarse. Revisa las conexiones de soporte, soportes y

accesorios de aspas dos veces al año. Verica que estén seguros. No es necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia tu ventilador con frecuencia, para que luzca como nuevo a pesar de los años. No uses agua al limpiar, esto puede dañar el motor

o la madera, o causar descargas eléctricas. Usa solamente un cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el acabado.

□ Para mayor protección y belleza, puedes aplicar a la madera una na capa de pulimento para muebles. Cubre los arañazos pequeños

con una leve aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

□ Tu ventilador no necesita lubricación. El motor tiene cojinetes de bola sellados, permanentemente lubricados.

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la corriente esté

apagada antes de limpiar el ventilador.
