Important Points
Prior to beginning installation, turn off the cold and hot water lines
and open the old faucet to release build-up pressure.
Prior to new faucet Installation, turn the connector nuts finger-tight,
then use one wrench to anchor the fitting and a second wrench to
tighten the nut one additional turn. Connections that are too tight
will reduce the integrity of the system.
Wrap all threaded connections with pipe tape available at your local
plumbing supply store. Always wrap in a clockwise direction. The
fittings should be installed by a State-licensed plumber.
All installations can vary depending on how your previous faucet was installed. Necessary supplies to install your faucet are
not all included; however they are available wherever plumbing supplies are sold. When choosing your installation supplies,
make sure they are IAPMO and/or CSA approved products.

Place new faucet in position on sink. From under sink,
thread nuts onto faucet. Tighten nuts.
(A) Stainless Steel Braided Faucet Supply Tubes: This is
the simplest of all installations. If you are using stainless
steel braided faucet supply tubes, this faucet requires one
end of the supply tube to have a 1/2" female IPS
connection. The other end of this supply tube must match
the thread on the water supply fittings or shut off valve
under your sink. Once you have identified the required
tube, carefully follow the manufacturer’s installations
instructions for each tube.
Shut off water supply. Remove old faucet. Clean sink
surface in preparation for new faucet.

Steps 1-3A
(B) Ball Nose Flexible Supplies: If you are using ball-nose
flexible supplies to connect the faucet to water supply
lines: Slip coupling nut behind ball-nose of flexible supply
tube. Ball nose coupling will go partially into IPS shank or
fitting. Tighten coupling nut (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN).
Install opposite end according to manufacturer’s
instructions for both tubes.

Important: After installation is completed, remove aerator.
Turn on water supply and allow both hot and cold water
to run for at least one minute each. While water is
running, check for leaks. Replace aerator. Tighten nuts
slightly to stop minor leaks. If problems persist, refer to
troubleshooting chart.

Remove flange from pop up main body. Leave large black
washer (not included with plastic pop ups) and nut on
drain body.

Unscrew the nut from the pop up body and take off the
spring clip from the ball rod (please note: retain the white
packing ring on the ball rod), and place the nut in the ball
rod. Insert the ball rod into the side hole of drain, slide
the nut on and tighten securely.

Insert bottom of lift rod into hole at top of pop-up strap.
Tighten with thumb screw.

Place one end of spring clip on end if ball rod. Insert rod
across and through hole in lift rod strap. Secure other end.

Thread lock nut from underside of sink until rubber washer
seats securely inside opening of sink. Tighten lock nut.
Wipe excess putty. If model has plastic wing nut, tighten
securely. If nut brass, tighten with wrench.

Place a ring of putty around drain opening of sink. Insert
threaded end of drain body up through drain hole and
attach flange to body with ball rod pointing to rear of
sink.

Leaks underneath handle.
PROBLEM
Retainer nut has come loose or o-ring on cartridge is dirty or twisted.
CAUSE
1. Move the handle to the off position. Unscrew the handle screw and
remove the handle.
2. Tighten the retainer nut by turning it clockwise. Move the cartridge
stem to the on position. The leak should stop draining out from around
the cartridge stem.
3. If the leak does not stop, shut off the water supply. Remove the
retainer nut by turning it counter clockwise. Lift out the cartridge valve.
Inspect the larger o-ring on the cartridge bonnet and the smaller o-ring
on the cartridge stem. Remove any debris from the o-rings. If either
o-ring is twisted, straighten it out. If either o-ring is damaged, replace it.
4. Position the cartridge back to the faucet body. Make sure the wings on
the two sides of the cartridge bonnet fit into the cuts on the two sides
of the faucet body. Tightly screw the retainer nut onto the faucet body.
5. Re-install the handle.
ACTION
Rubber valve seat is dirty, stuck or broken.
CAUSE
1. Shut off the cold water supply. If leakage stops, the problem is on the
cold side. If leakage continues, the problem is on the hot side. Shut
off the hot water supply to determine if both the cold and hot sides
have a problem.
2. Remove the handle on the problem side. Loosen the retainer nut by
turning it counter-clockwise. Lift out the cartridges assembly.
3. Inspect the larger o-ring on the cartridge bonnet and the smaller o-ring
on the cartridge stem. Remove any debris from the o-rings. If either
o-ring is twisted, straighten it out. If either o-ring is damaged, replace
it.
4. Re-position the cartridge back to the faucet body. Make sure that the
wings on the two sides of the cartridge bonnet fit well into the cuts on
the two sides of the faucet body. Tightly screw the retainer nut onto
the faucet body.
5. Re-install the handle.
ACTION
Water does not completely shut off.
PROBLEM
Aerator incorrectly fitted.
CAUSE
1. Unscrew the aerator by turning it clockwise. Inspect the black rubber
packing inside the aerator. The rubber packing should be flat.
2. Screw the aerator onto the spout end and tighten.
ACTION
Faucet leaks around aerator.
PROBLEM
Aerator dirty or small parts inside aerator improperly installed.
CAUSE
1. Remove the aerator from the spout end by turning it clockwise.
2. Gently flush the small parts inside the aerator to clear away any
debris.
3. Re-install the small parts as shown in the exploded diagram. Metal
screens must be flat and plastic supporter must be straight.
4. Screw the aerator onto the spout end and tighten.

• Tape la boca del desagüe para prevenir la pérdida e

Mantenga el grifo como nuevo limpiándolo periódicamente con un
paño suave. No utilice limpiadores abrasivos, virutas de acero ni
substancias químicas corrosivas, ya que opacarán el acabado y la
garantía se anulará.

Información importante
Antes de comenzar la instalación, cerciórese de cerrar todas las
conexiones y cañerías de agua fría y caliente, y de abrir el grifo
antiguo para liberar la presión acumulada.
Al instalar el nuevo grifo, apriete a mano las tuercas de conexión,
luego utilice dos llaves; una para anclar la conexión y la otra para
apretar la tuerca con un giro adicional. Las conexiones demasiado
apretadas menoscaban la integridad del sistema.
Envuelva con cinta de Teflón (disponible de las agujas del reloj.
ferretería o tienda de fontanería de su localodad) todas las
conexiones roscadas. Siempre envuelva en sentido de las agujas del
reloj. Los componentes deben ser instalados por un plomero con
licencia estatal.
Todas las instalaciones pueden variar dependiendo de cómo instaló su llave de agua anterior. No se incluyen los utensilios
necesarios para instalar su llave de agua. No obstante, puede obtenerlos en cualquier establecimiento donde se vendan

Coloque el grifo nuevo en su posición sobre el lavatorio,
Desde la parte inferior de éste, enrosque las tuercas sobre
el grifo y apriételas.
(A) Tubos de suministro trenzados de acero inoxidable
para llaves de agua: Esta es la más sencilla de todas las
instalaciones. Si está usando Tubos de suministro
trenzados de acero inoxidable, esta llave necesita que un
extremo del Tubo de suministro tenga una conexión IPS
hembra de 1/2". El otro extremo del Tubo de suministro
debe corresponder a la rosca de la Válvula de Suministro
de Agua debajo de su fregadero. Una vez fabricante para
identificado el tubo adecuado, siga cuidadosamente las
instrucciones de instalación del fabricante para cada tubo.
Corte el agua. Retire el grifo antiguo y limpie la superficie
del lacatorio como preparación para el nuevo grifo.

(B) Accesorios flexibles con extremo esférico: Si está
usando accesorios flexibles con extremo esférico para
conectar la llave a la tuberia de agua: deslice la tuerca de
acoplamiento en el accesorio flexible de extremo esférico.
El acoplamiento de extremo esférico entrara parcialmente
en el vástago o accesorio IPS. Apriete la tuerca de
acoplamiento ( NO APRIETE DEMASIADO). Instale el otro
extremo siguiendo das instrucciones del fabricante para
cada tubo.

Importante: Después de instalar el grifo, retire el aireador,
y abra el agua caliente y fría durante al menos un minuto.
Mientras tanto, revise si hay fugas. Reemplace el
aireador. Apriete levemente las tuercas para detener las
fugas menores. Si la fuga persiste, consulte la sección
Solución de problemas.

Retire la birda del mecanismo del tapón. Dehe la arandela
grande de color negro (no se incluye en modelos con
mecanismos plásticos) y la tuerca en el tubo de desagüe.

Desenrosque la tuerca del cuerpo principal del drenaje
mecánico y retire el clip con aletas del accesorio ( favor
note: retenga el aro de empaque blanco en el accesorio),
y coloque la tuerca en el accesorio. Inserte el accesorio en
el agujero lateral del drenaje, coloque la tuerca y aprietela
seguramente.

Introduzca la parte inferior del tiradoe del tapón dentro
del orificio en la parte superior de la banda mecánica.
Apriétela con el tornillo de mano.

Coloque un extremo de la presilla de resorte sobre el
extremo de la varilla de la bola. Introduzca la varilla en
forma transversal a través del orificio en la banda del
tirador del tapón. Asegure el otro extremo.

Enrosque la contratuerca debajo del lavatorio hasta que la
arandela de goma quede firmemente asentada dentro de
la abertura del mismo. Apriete la contratuerca. Retire con
un paño el exceso de masilla. Si el modelo viene con una
tuerca de mariposa de plástico, apriétela firmemente; si
es de latón, utilice una llave.

Coloque un anillo de masilla alrededor de la abertura de
desagüe en el lavatorio. Introduzca el extremo roscado
del tubo hacia arriba a través del orificio de desagüe y
conecte la brida en el tubo con la varilla de la bola
apuntando hacia la parte posterior del lavatorio.

Instalación
Pasos 7-10
Ajuste el funcionamiento del tirador del tapón
fijando la ubicación del tornillo de mano a lo
largo de éste, o bien ajustando el orificio por el
cual pasa la varilla de la bola a través de la
banda.
Cerciórese de dejar suficiente espacio entre el
tirador del tapón y la tobera del grifo cuando la
varilla esté abajo.

Hay fugas debajo de la manija.
PROBLEMA
La tuerca de retención está suelta o el sello en O en el cartucho está sucio a
torcido.
CAUSA
1. Mueva la manija hasta la posición de cortar el agua. Destorníllela y retírela.
2. Apriete la tuerca de retención girándola en sentido horario. Mueva el vástago
del cartucho hasta la posición de abrir el agua. No deberá haber fugas
alrededor del vástago del cartucho.
3. Si las fugas persisten, corte el suministro de auga. Retire la tuerca de
retención girándola en sentido antihorario. Levante la válvula del cartucho
para retirarla. Revise el sello en O grande en el casquete del cartucho y el
sello en O pequeño en el vástago del mismo. Elimine las impurezas que haya
en estos últimos. Alíselos si están torcidos o reemplácelos si están rotos.
4. Vuelva a colocar el cartucho en el cuerpo del grifo. Cerciórese de que las
orejetas en ambos lados del casquete del cartucho eneajen perfectamente en
los cortes de los costados del cuerpo del grifo. Atornille firme mente la tuerca
de retención sobre el éste.
5. Vuelva a instalar la manija.
SOLUCIÓN
El asiento de gorna de la válvula está sucio, atascado o roto.
CAUSA
1. Corte el suministro de agua fría. Si no hay fugas, significa que el problema
se localiza en dicho lado; de lo contrario se presenta en el suministro de
agua caliente. Corte el suministro de agua caliente para determinar si el
problema se presenta en ambos lados.
2. Retire la manija en el lado con problemas. Afloje la tuerca de retención
girándola en sentido antihorario. Levante el conjunto de cartucho para retirarlo.
3. Inspeccione el empaque o-ring mas grande en el cartucho y el pequeno
empaque o-ring en el vastago del cartucho. Remueva cualquier desecho de los
empaques o-ring. Si cualquier empaque o-ring esta torcido, enderecelo. Si
cualquier empaque o-ring esta danado, reemplacelo.
4. Vuelva a colocar el cartucho en el cuerpo del grifo. Cerciórese de que las
orejetas en ambos lados del cosquete del cartucho encajen perfectamente en
los cortes de los dos costados del cuerpo del grifo. Atornille firmemente la
tuerca de retención sobre éste.
5. Vuelva a instalar la manija.
SOLUCIÓN
El agua no se corta por completo.
PROBLEMA
El aireador está instalado incorrectamente.
CAUSA
1. Destomille el aireador girándolo en sentido horario. Cerciórese de que el
calzo de goma negro dentro del aireador esté plano.
2. Atornille el aireador sobre el extremo de la todera y apriételo.
SOLUCIÓN
El grifo presenta fugas alrededor del aireador.
PROBLEMA
El patrón de flujo de agua es incorrecto.
PROBLEMA
El aireador está sucion o las pequeñas piezas en su interior no están
correctamente instaladas.
CAUSA
1. Gire el aireador en sentido horario para retirarlo del extremo de la tobera.
2. Enjuague suavemente las piezas pequeñas en su interior y eliminetodas las
impurezas.
3. Vuelva a instalar las piezas pequeñas tal como se indica en el diagrama. Los
fitros metálicos deberán estar en posición horizon tal y el soporte plástico en
posición vertical.
4. Atornille el aireador sobre el extremo de la tobera y apriételo.
