Safety

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions

should always be followed including the following:

1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse

cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.

4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person

responsible for their safety.

5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance

is used by or near children.

6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.

Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or

plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been

damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer Service.

8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended

not be inserted in a Toaster as they may involve a risk

of re or electric shock.

15. A re may occur if Toasters are covered or touching

ammable material, including curtains, draperies,

walls, and the like, when in operation.

16. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance

containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

17. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the Toaster

is plugged in.

CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and

escaping steam during use. Proper precautions must be

taken to prevent the risk of burns, res, or other injury

to persons or damage to property.

1. A person who has not read and understood all operating,

toasting, and safety instructions is not qualied to

operate this appliance. All users of this appliance

must read and understand this instruction manual before

operating or cleaning this appliance.

2. If this appliance falls or accidentally becomes

immersed in water, unplug it from the wall outlet

immediately. Do not reach into the water!

3. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space

above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not

operate this appliance while it is touching or near

curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other

ammable materials.

4. To reduce the risk of re, do not leave this appliance

unattended during use.

5. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use,

immediately press or CANCEL and unplug the cord.

Do not use or attempt to repair a malfunctioning

appliance! Contact Consumer Service.

6. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged

directly into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet.

7. Do not use this appliance in an unstable position.

8. Use the Toaster on a hard, at surface. Do not place

it near a ame or heat or on a soft surface (such

as carpet). Avoid placing it where it may tip over

during use. Dropping the Toaster could cause it to

malfunction.

NOTE: This Toaster is equipped with Anti-Jam feature.

If any toast or toaster food gets jammed, the Toaster

will shut OFF automatically.

WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Never attempt

to dislodge food inside the Toaster while the Toaster

is plugged in. Doing so could cause an electrical shock

hazard or a risk of re.

CAUTION: This appliance is hot during operation and

retains heat for some time after turning off. Always use

oven mitts when handling hot materials and allow metal

parts to cool before cleaning. Do not place anything on top

of the Toaster while it is operating or while it is hot.

CAUTION!

• DO NOT toast pastries with runny llings or frosting.

• DO NOT toast torn slices of bread.

• DO NOT place buttered bread or wrapped food into

the Toaster.

• DO NOT toast small-size breads, mini-baguettes,

breadsticks, etc.

NOTES ON THE PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider

than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,

this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way.

If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied

electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

NOTES ON THE CORD

a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply

cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from

becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords

are available and may be used if care is exercised in

their use.

c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension

cord is used:

1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-

supply cord or extension cord should be at least as

great as the electrical rating of the appliance;

2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension

cord should be a grounding- type 3-wire cord; and

3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will

not drape over the counter top or table top where

it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

PLASTICIZER WARNING

CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the

nish of the counter top or table top or other furniture,

place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the

appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top.

Failure to do so may cause the nish to darken; permanent

blemishes may occur, or stains can appear.

ELECTRIC POWER

If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other

appliances, your appliance may not operate properly.

It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit

from other appliances.

Touch-Activated Display Control Panel

A screen that only shows up when you need it.

• When the Toaster is plugged in, a tone will sound, the control panel

will illuminate for 1 second, then turn off. The button will pulse

slowly on and off.

• When is pressed, a tone will sound, and the control panel will

illuminate and remain active for 20 seconds.

• Press to STOP any operation, to raise the toasting carriages and turn

the Toaster OFF.

7. 7 Bar Browning Level

Indicator

• Slice bagels or English mufns in half; place one half in each toasting

slot with the cut sides facing the center of the toasting slots.

• Bagels and English mufns toast perfectly without burning the outsides.

• Set browning indicator to the desired toast color. Toasting time

is altered to give the same degree of browning achieved with unfrozen

bread.

• Provides up to 30 seconds of low heat to previously toasted foods.

• Press CANCEL at any time to interrupt the toasting cycle, to raise

the toasting carriages and turn the Toaster OFF.

• The + and - buttons control browning level, from 1 ( ) LIGHT

to 7 ( ) DARK. While toasting, the browning level indicator bars

will pulse and count down to a single bar before the toasting lever

rises and the Toaster turns OFF.

• Press + to increase browning from 1 ( ) LIGHT to 7 ( ) DARK.

• Press – to reduce browning from 7 ( ) DARK to 1 ( ) LIGHT.

NOTE: The last chosen browning level will remain active for the next batch.

Before Using for the First Time

1. Remove all packaging materials including those

that may be inside the toasting slots.

2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry

thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

3. Do not place the Toaster, cord or plug in water.

4. Make sure the crumb tray is locked into position

at the back of the Toaster.(Figure 1)

5. Unwrap the power cord from cord storage area

on underside of the Toaster and plug into a 120V

AC electrical outlet. Following the OPERATION

instructions, run 2 cycles of toast without bread

before the rst use.

NOTE: Toaster may emit a thin smoke

on the initial use. This is normal and not

detrimental to the performance of the Toaster.

Operation

1. Make sure crumb tray is locked into position at the back of the Toaster.

(Figura 1)

2. Check to be sure no bread or other objects are inside the toasting

slots. Place the Toaster on a at, level, heat resistant surface.

3. Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing into the

toasting slot(s).

IMPORTANT: Avoid toasting torn bread slices or small pieces of toaster

food that may get lodged in toasting slot(s).

4. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. A tone will sound,

the control panel will illuminate for 1 second, then turn off.

5. The button will pulse slowly on and off until use.

Toast, Bagel, Frozen

NOTE: Use either toasting slot when toasting only 1 piece of bread

or toaster food. Always use slices or foods that t freely into

toasting slots.

1. Add bread, bagels, English mufns, toaster foods, frozen bread or bagels

to the toasting slots (Figure 2). Press the pulsing .

2. For the toaster function, just lower the lever to begin toasting.

3. Adjust the browning level from 4 ( ) MEDIUM by pressing + or -.

(Figure 3)

4. Press BAGEL or FROZEN (Figure 4). A tone will sound. The button,

CANCEL button and any FUNCTION button will illuminate when active.

All other buttons vanish when not in use.

5. Lower the toasting lever to begin toasting (Figure 5).

6. For toasting frozen bagels.

• Press BAGEL rst. The BAGEL button will stay illuminated and the

FROZEN button will begin to ash.

• Press FROZEN. Both BAGEL and FROZEN will be illuminated.

• Adjust the browning level as needed.

• Lower the lever to begin toasting.

7. While toasting, the chosen browning level lighted bars will pulse

and count down to a single light as the cycle progresses.

NOTE: The browning level indicator will act as a progressive timer

to show you how much time remains until the toasting cycle will

be completed.

8. At the end of the toasting cycle, 2 audible tones will sound;

and toasting carriages will rise automatically.

9. Remove bread or toaster food from the toasting slot(s). Use care

as the top of the Toaster will still be hot.

CAUTION: Never use a fork or sharp-edged utensil to remove toast,

because that may damage the heating element or cause injury.

NOTE: After 20 seconds of inactivity, the control panel will darken,

will pulse slowly on and off and the Toaster will advance to sleep mode.

10. Unplug the Toaster from the wall outlet when not in use and

before cleaning.

Reheat

1. Add bread, bagels, English mufns, toaster foods, frozen bread or bagels

to the toasting slots (Figure 1). Press the pulsing .

2. Press REHEAT. A tone will sound. The button, CANCLE button and

REHEAT button will illuminate. All other buttons vanish when not in use.

3. Lower the toasting lever to begin toasting (Figure 4).

4. At the end of the toasting cycle, 2 audible tones will sound;

and toasting carriages will rise automatically.

Removing Lodged Foods

NOTE: This Toaster is equipped with Anti-Jam feature. If any toast or toaster

food gets jammed, the Toaster will shut OFF automatically.

1. If, after toasting, a piece of bread or any other toaster food becomes

lodged in either of the toasting slots, unplug the Toaster and allow

it to cool.

2. Turn the Toaster upside down and shake the food loose.

CAUTION: To avoid injury or damage to the heating element, NEVER use

a fork or sharp-edged utensil to remove toast or toaster food.

Beautiful Toasting Tips

• Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing into the

toasting slot(s).

• For best results, clean the crumb tray frequently. See “Care & Cleaning

Instructions” in this instruction manual.

• Do not block top openings. Do not place any object over any top opening.

• Do not add butter to breads, pita, bagels or English mufns. Melted

butter may cause re.

• When toasting more than one slice of bread, use slices of similar size,

thickness and freshness.

• Stale bread, thin bread or sweet bread products, such as tea cakes and

fruit loaf, brown quickly and should be lightly toasted.

User Maintenance Instructions

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable

parts. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must

be performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.

Care & Cleaning Instructions

CAUTION: Do not immerse the Toaster, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.

CAUTION: Be sure the Toaster is unplugged before cleaning.

1. CRUMB TRAY: Push to release the crumb tray from the back of the Toaster.

(Figure 1) Wipe the crumb tray with a clean, damp cloth. Replace crumb

tray. Push rmly until an audible click is heard as the crumb tray is

fully inserted and locked into place in the bottom of the Toaster.

2. EXTERIOR: Wipe the Toaster’s stainless steel exterior with a clean,

damp cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not put cord, or plug in water

or liquid.

Storing Instructions

1. Unplug unit, allow to cool. Clean before storing.

2. Store Toaster in its box in a clean, dry place.

3. Never store Toaster while it is hot or still plugged in.

4. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance, use the cord storage area

on the bottom of the Toaster.

5. Be sure crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the Toaster.

(Figure 1)

6. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could

cause the cord to fray and break.

NOTAS SOBRE EL ENCHUFE

Este electrodoméstico tiene un enchufe polarizado (una

pata es más ancha que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo

de descargas eléctricas, este enchufe encaja de una sola

manera en un tomacorriente polarizado. Si el enchufe no

encaja bien en el tomacorriente, darlo vuelta. Si aun así

no encaja, comunicarse con un electricista calicado. No

NOTAS SOBRE EL CABLE

a) Se debe utilizar un cable de alimentación corto

b) Existen cables de alimentación desconectables más

largos o prolongadores y pueden usarse si se hace con

precaución.

c) Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación desconectable

más largo o un prolongador, tenga en cuenta

lo siguiente:

1) La capacidad eléctrica nominal del cable

de alimentación desconectable o prolongador debe

ser al menos igual a la capacidad eléctrica del

electrodoméstico.

2) Si el electrodoméstico cuenta con conexión a tierra,

el prolongador debe ser del tipo con conexión a tierra

de 3 alambres.

3) El cable más largo debe estar dispuesto de manera

que no cuelgue de la encimera o de la mesa, ya que

puede ser jalado por niños, o cualquier persona podría

tropezarse.

ADVERTENCIA SOBRE PLASTIFICADOS

ATENCIÓN: A n de evitar que los plasticados se adhieran

al acabado de la encimera, la mesa u otro mueble, colocar

un posafuentes o salvamanteles que NO SEAN DE PLÁSTICO

entre el electrodoméstico y el acabado de la supercie

de la encimera o mesa. Si no se hace esto, es posible que

el acabado se oscurezca, se formen marcas permanentes o

Una pantalla que solo aparece cuando la necesita

• Cuando se enchufe el tostador, sonará un tono y el panel de control se

iluminará por 1 segundo, luego se pagará. El botón <ON> se encenderá y

se apagará a ritmo lento.

• Si se presiona , sonará un tono, el panel de control se iluminará, y

permanecerá activo por 20 segundos.

• Presionar para DETENER cualquier funcionamiento, para elevar los

contenedores de tostado y para apagar el tostador.

• Cortar los panecillos o bollos ingleses por la mitad; colocar cada mitad

en cada ranura de tostado con las caras de los cortes mirando hacia

el centro de las ranuras de tostado.

• Los panecillos y bollos ingleses se tuestan perfectamente, sin quemarse

en los bordes.

• Ajustar el indicador de dorado en el color de tostado deseado. El tiempo

de tostado se altera para obtener el mismo nivel de dorado que se logra

con el pan sin congelar.

• Proporciona hasta 30 segundos de calor a baja temperatura a los

alimentos previamente tostados.

• Presionar (CANCEL) en cualquier momento para interrumpir el ciclo

de tostado, para elevar los contenedores de tostado y para apagar

el tostador.

• Los botones + y - controlan el nivel de dorado, del 1 ( ) LIGHT (CLARO)

al 7 ( ) DARK (Oscuro). Durante el ciclo de tostado, las barras

indicadoras de nivel de dorado destellarán e irán en cuenta regresiva

hasta una sola barra antes de que la palanca de tostado se eleve y el

tostador se apague.

• Presionar + para aumentar el dorado desde 1 ( ) LIGHT (CLARO) hasta

7 ( ) DARK (Oscuro).

• Presionar - para disminuir el dorado desde 7 ( ) DARK (Oscuro)

hasta 1 ( ) LIGHT (CLARO).

• NOTA: El último nivel de dorado elegido permanecerá activo para

la próxima tanda.

Antes de usar por primera vez

1. Quitar todo el material de embalaje incluido aquel

que pueda estar dentro de las ranuras de tostado.

2. Limpiar el exterior con un paño húmedo. Secar

bien. No utilizar limpiadores abrasivos.

3. No sumergir el tostador, el cable, ni el enchufe

en agua.

4. Asegurarse de que la bandeja para migas esté jada

en su lugar en la parte posterior del tostador.

5. Desenrollar el cable de alimentación del área

de almacenamiento del cable en la parte inferior

del tostador y enchufarlo en un tomacorriente

eléctrico de 120 V CA. Seguir la instrucciones

de funcionamiento, y hacer funcionar el tostador

durante dos ciclos de tostado, pero sin pan, antes

de usarlo por primera vez.

NOTA: El tostador puede emitir un humo ligero

en el primer uso. Esto es normal y no perjudica

el desempeño del tostador.

Funcionamiento

1. Asegurarse de que la bandeja para migas esté jada en su lugar

en la parte posterior del tostador.

2. Revisar que no haya pan ni otros objetos dentro de las ranuras

de tostado. Colocar el tostador sobre una supercie plana,

nivelada y resistente al calor.

3. Retirar todos los envoltorios de protección de los alimentos antes de

colocarlos en las ranuras de tostado.

IMPORTANTE: Evitar tostar rebanadas de pan rotas o trozos pequeños

de alimentos para tostar que podrían quedar atascados en las ranuras

de tostado.

4. Enchufar el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente eléctrico

de 120 V CA. Se oirá un tono, el panel de control se iluminará durante

1 segundo y luego se apagará.

5. El botón se encenderá y se apagará a ritmo lento hasta que se ponga

en funcionamiento.

Toast (Tostar), Bagel (Panecillo), Frozen (Congelado)

NOTA: Usar cualquiera de las ranuras de tostado al tostar solo 1 trozo

de pan o de alimento para tostar. Siempre usar rebanadas o alimentos

que quepan con facilidad en las ranuras de tostado.

1. Introducir pan, panecillos, bollos ingleses, alimentos para tostador,

pan o panecillos congelados en las ranuras de tostado (Figura 2).

Presionar el botón pulsante.

2. Para la función de tostadora, simplemente baje la palanca para comenzar

a tostar.

3. Ajustar el nivel de dorado desde 4 ( ) MEDIUM (Medio) al presionar

+ o -.

4. Presionar BAGEL o FROZEN (Figura 3). Sonará un tono. El botón

y cualquier otro botón de función se iluminará cuando esté activo.

Todos los demás botones desaparecen cuando no están en uso.

5. Bajar la palanca de tostado para comenzar a tostar (Figura 5).

6. Para tostar bagels congelados.

• Presione BAGEL primero. El botón BAGEL permanecerá iluminado y el

botón FROZEN comenzará a parpadear.

• Presione CONGELADO. Se iluminarán ambos botones, tanto BAGEL

como FROZEN.

• Ajustar el nivel de dorado tanto como sea necesario.

• Baje la palanca para comenzar a tostar.

6. Durante el ciclo de tostado, las barras iluminadas del nivel de dorado

elegido destellarán e irán en cuenta regresiva hasta una sola luz

a medida que el ciclo avance.

NOTA: El indicador de nivel de dorado actuará como un temporizador

progresivo y mostrará cuanto tiempo resta hasta que el ciclo de tostado

se complete.

7. Al nalizar el ciclo de dorado, se oirán 2 tonos; y los contenedores

de tostado se elevarán automáticamente.

8. Retirar el pan o los alimentos para tostar de las ranuras de tostado.

Tener cuidado ya que la parte superior del tostador aún estará caliente.

ATENCIÓN: Nunca usar un tenedor ni un utensilio de borde alado para

retirar alimentos tostados, podría dañar los elementos de calentamiento

o causar lesiones.

NOTA: Luego de 20 segundos de inactividad, el panel de control

se oscurecerá, el botón se encenderá y se apagará a ritmo lento,

y el tostador pasará a modo de espera.

9. Desenchufar el tostador del tomacorriente cuando no se utilice y antes

de limpiarlo.

Reheat (Recalentar)

1. Introducir pan, panecillos, bollos ingleses, alimentos para tostador,

pan o panecillos congelados en las ranuras de tostado. Presionar

el botón pulsante.

2. Presionar REHEAT Sonará un tono. El botón, el botón CANCLE cancelar

y el botón REHEAT se iluminarán. Todos los demás botones desaparecen

cuando no están en uso.

3. Bajar la palanca de tostado para comenzar a tostar.

4. Al nalizar el ciclo de dorado, se oirán 2 tonos; y los contenedores

de tostado se elevarán automáticamente.

Quitar alimentos atascados

NOTA: Este tostador cuenta con una función antiatascos. Si cualquier tostada

o alimento se atascara, el tostador se apagará automáticamente.

1. Si, luego del tostado, un trozo de pan o de otros alimentos para

tostar se atasca en cualquiera de las ranuras de tostado,

desenchufar el tostador y dejar que se enfríe.

2. Dar vuelta el tostador y agitar para aojar los alimentos.

ATENCIÓN: Para evitar lesiones o daños a los elementos de calentamiento,

NUNCA usar un tenedor ni un utensilio de borde alado para retirar

tostadas o alimentos tostados.

Consejos beautiful para tostar

• Retirar todos los envoltorios de protección de los alimentos antes

de colocarlos en las ranuras de tostado.

• Para obtener resultados óptimos, limpiar la bandeja para migas en forma

frecuente. Ver las "Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza" en este manual

de instrucciones.

• No bloquear las aberturas de la parte superior. No colocar ningún objeto

sobre ninguna de las aberturas superiores.

• No agregar mantequilla a los panes, panes pita, panecillos o bollos

ingleses. La mantequilla derretida puede causar incendios.

• Cuando tueste más de una rebanada de pan, colocar rebanadas de tamaño,

grosor y frescura similares.

• El pan duro, el pan de poco espesor o los productos panicados dulces,

tales como los pasteles para la hora del té y los panes de fruta,

se doran más rápido, de modo que deben tostarse ligeramente.

Instrucciones de mantenimiento para el usuario

Este electrodoméstico necesita poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que el

usuario pueda reparar. Cualquier tipo de mantenimiento, aparte de la limpieza,

que requiera desarmar el aparato, debe ser realizado por un técnico calicado

que repare electrodomésticos.

Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza

ATENCIÓN: No sumergir el tostador, el cable, ni el enchufe en agua ni en ningún

otro líquido.

ATENCIÓN: Asegurarse de que el tostador esté desenchufado antes de limpiarlo.

1. BANDEJA PARA MIGAS: (Figure 1) Presionar para liberar la bandeja para

migas de la parte de atrás del tostador. Limpiar la bandeja para migas

con un paño húmedo y limpio. Volver a colocar la bandeja para migas.

Empujar con rmeza hasta que se escuche un "clic" cuando la bandeja para

migas se inserte por completo, y quede ajustada en su lugar en la parte

inferior del tostador.

2. EXTERIOR: Limpiar el exterior del tostador, de acero inoxidable,

con un paño limpio y húmedo.

No utilizar limpiadores abrasivos. No sumergir el cable ni el enchufe

en agua ni líquidos.

Instrucciones de almacenamiento

1. Desenchufar la unidad y dejar enfriar. Limpiar antes de guardar.

2. Guardar el tostador en su caja, en un lugar limpio y seco.

3. Nunca guardar el tostador enchufado ni mientras esté caliente.

4. Nunca enrollar el cable con rmeza alrededor del electrodoméstico,

usar el área de almacenamiento para el cable ubicada en la parte

inferior del tostador. (Figura 2)

5. Asegurarse de que la bandeja para migas esté bien jada en su lugar

en la parte posterior del tostador. (Figura 2)

6. No aplicar tensión en el cable en la parte que ingresa en la unidad,

ya que podría pelarse y romperse.
