This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any
other electrical outlet.
WARNING: This multiple temperature curling iron has been specially designed to curl very coarse, thick, hard-to-curl hair. Due to this
special application, the barrel of this curling iron will be hotter on the HI (13-15) settings than regular dual-heat curling irons. Due to
the extreme heat capabilities of this iron, the barrel will be very hot in the HI (13-15) settings, so extra care should be taken
when using.
• Keep unit away from contact with all skin areas. Do not touch iron barrel with fingertips.
• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and curling iron barrel to avoid touching scalp.
• Place fingers of free hand on safety tip when more control is needed for curling.
• Test small section of hair to determine correct heat setting for your type of hair.
SPECIAL FEATURE: This iron features solid-state electronic circuitry with a heat sensor that detects temperature loss and quickly
boosts the power to bring the heat level back to optimum styling temperature. This allows styling in half the time it takes with an
ordinary iron.
TO USE: For a complete styling, hair should be clean, dry and free from dirt, hair spray, creams, etc. (This iron can also be used for
quick touch-ups any time.)
PRE-HEAT: Rest the iron on its built-in safety stand on a smooth, flat surface, and plug in. Turn on, set the heat control at the desired
position, and allow iron to heat.
HOW TO GET PROFESSIONAL RESULTS:
This unique curling iron has been designed with multiple temperatures, providing very high heat in the HI (13-15) settings for curling
very coarse, thick, hard-to-curl hair, and very low heat in the LO (1-3) settings for curling extra fine, damaged or dry hair. It also
provides a full range of heat settings between LO and HI, for all normal textures and thicknesses of hair.
FOR FAST HEAT-UP: Turn heat control dial to HI (13-15) settings. It will take about 60 seconds to heat up. To reach optimum
temperature, allow iron to heat for 90 seconds. Then, select a temperature according to the type of hair (see diagrams for adjusting
temperature).
TEST A SMALL SECTION OF HAIR BEFORE USING; THEN ADJUST TEMPERATURE DEPENDING ON TYPE OF HAIR.
HEAT SETTINGS:
HI (13-15)
These settings are very hot. Use only if hair is very coarse and highly resistant, but in good condition.
MED/HI (9-12)
Use heat settings in this range for dense, hard-to-curl hair in good condition.
MEDIUM (7-9)
Use heat settings in this range for thick, wavy hair in good condition.
LO/MED (4-6)
Use heat settings in this range for easy-to-curl, normal hair.
LO (1-3)
Use LO heat setting for very fine, fragile, light-colored hair.
AUTO-OFF: After approximately one hour, the unit will automatically shut itself off. To reactivate the unit, push the OFF button, then
push the ON button.
HOW TO USE
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified
service personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: Unplug curling iron and allow to cool. Iron must be cleaned only when cold. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the
handle. Do not allow water or any other liquid to go into handle of the iron.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Store the cord loosely coiled. Never wrap the cord
around unit; this could cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it
could cause cord to fray and possibly break. Never hang unit up by the power cord.

APAGADO AUTOMATICO: Aproximadamente después de una hora, la unidad automáticamente se apagará. Para reactivar la unidad,
presione el interruptor de presión Apagado (OFF) y luego el interruptor de Encendido (ON).
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si
necesita reparación remítalo a personas calificadas.
PARA LIMPIAR: Desenchufe la tenaza y déjela que enfríe. La tenaza solamente debe limpiarse cuando esté fría. Use un paño suave,
ligeramente húmedo para limpiar el mango. No deje que penetre agua u otro líquido al mango de la tenaza.
PARA GUARDAR: Desconecte su artefacto, déjelo enfriar y guárdelo en su caja o en un lugar seco y limpio. Enrolle el cordón
suavemente, sin ajustarlo. Nunca lo enrolle ajustado alrededor de su unidad, esto podría causar que se gaste prematuramente y
rompa. No ponga presión al cordón donde éste entra al mango, ya que esto podría causar el desgaste del cordón y su posible rotura.
Nunca cuelgue la unidad por el cordón.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be
serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service Department or to an authorized service representative.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, a slight odor may be noticeable. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
