Operation

Note: Before testing, insert a 9V battery (not included) and ensure the cable being

tested is not yet connected to the tester.

Testing

Simply connect the desired cable to the unit, then switch the Sweep/OFF/

Continuity button to “Continuity” for sync testing, or “Sweep” for step-by-

step testing.

Note: During sync testing, all LEDs illuminate on the wire map at once. During step-by-

step testing, the LEDs will illuminate one at a time.

When testing uninstalled patch cable, you can leave the Main Tester and

Remote Identiﬁer connected.

When testing installed cable, you will need to remove the Remote

Identiﬁer from the Main Tester. Connect one end of the cable to the

appropriate connector on the Main Tester, and the other end of the cable to

the appropriate connector on the Remote Identiﬁer.

Note: Upon switching to the desired testing mode, the LEDs on the Main Tester and

Remote Identiﬁer will illuminate to indicate the results.

If testing DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cables, use “A pin” side numbers

found on both the Main Tester and Remote Identiﬁer. For DisplayPort-to-Mini

DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort-to-Mini DisplayPort cables, use “C pin” side

numbers found on both the Main Tester and Remote Identiﬁer.

Detecting Connections

Note: This product is designed to test cable lengths up to 49 ft. (15 m).

When a cable connection from both ends is detected, the LEDs will

illuminate. Listed below are detected connection examples with diagrams

showing which pins should illuminate for each connection type.

Note: When no connection is detected between the connectors of the cable being

tested, the LEDs will not illuminate

Straight (Proper) Connection

When all the LEDs illuminate on both the Master and Remote units, the

cable is properly wired and ready to install/use.

Detecting Connections

Crossed Connection

If the wires in the cable are out of order or crossed, the LEDs on the Remote

Identiﬁer will illuminate to show in what order they are wired. In the diagram

below, when the Master unit shows pin 14 illuminated, pin 19 on the

Remote unit will illuminate, indicating those connections are crossed.

Note: Crossed connections cannot be tested in “Continuity” mode.

corresponding wire is an open circuit.

TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of initial

purchase. TRIPP LITE’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To

obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or an authorized

TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned to TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center with transportation charges

prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty

does not apply to equipment, which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modiﬁed in any way.

Operación

Nota: Antes de la prueba, inserte una batería de 9V (no incluida) y asegúrese de que

Prueba

Simplemente conecte el cable deseado a la unidad, luego cambie el botón

Cuando se detecte una conexión de cable de ambos extremos, se

encenderán los LEDs. Los siguientes son ejemplos de conexión detectada

Utilisation

Remarque : Avant de procéder à un test, insérer une batterie de 9 V (non incluse),

puis s'assurer que le câble testé n'est pas encore connecté au testeur.

Essai

Raccorder simplement le câble concerné à l'appareil, puis mettre le bouton

Sweep/OFF/Continuity à « Continuity » pour synchroniser le test ou à «

Sweep » pour un test étape par étape.

Remarque : Pendant un test de synchronisation, tous les voyants à DEL s'allument en

même temps sur le schéma de câblage. Pendant un test étape par étape, les voyants

à DEL s'allumeront un à la fois.

Au moment d'effectuer un test sur un cordon de raccordement

non installé, le testeur principal et le testeur à distance peuvent rester

connectés.

Lors du test d'un câble installé, le testeur à distance devra être retiré du

testeur principal. Raccorder une extrémité du câble au connecteur approprié

sur le testeur principal et l'autre extrémité du câble au connecteur approprié

sur le testeur à distance.

Remarque : Au moment de passer au mode de test voulu, les voyants à DEL sur le

testeur principal et le testeur à distance s'allumeront pour indiquer les résultats.

Pour tester des câbles DisplayPort à DisplayPort, utiliser les numéros

Remarque : Ce produit est conçu pour tester des longueurs de câble pouvant atteindre

jusqu'à 15 m (49 pi).

Lorsqu'une connexion de câble aux deux extrémités est détectée, les voyants

à DEL s'allumeront. Ci-dessous se trouvent des exemples de connexions

détectées avec des schémas indiquant quelles broches devraient s'allumer

pour chaque type de connexion.

Remarque : Lorsqu’aucune connexion n'est détectée entre les connecteurs du câble

Si les ﬁls à l'intérieur du câble sont brisés ou croisés, les voyants à DEL

sur le testeur à distance s'allumeront pour indiquer dans quel ordre ils sont

câblés. Dans le schéma ci-dessous, lorsque l'appareil principal indique

la broche 14 allumée, la broche 19 sur l'appareil à distance s'allumera,

indiquant que ces connexions sont croisées.

Remarque : Les connexions croisées ne peuvent pas être testées en mode « Continuity ».

Тестирование

Подключите нужный кабель к модулю, затем переведите переключатель Sweep/OFF/Continuity в

положение “Continuity” для синхронного тестирования или в положение “Sweep” для пошагового

тестирования.

Примечание. Во время синхронного тестирования все светодиодные индикаторы на карте монтажа загораются

одновременно. При пошаговом тестировании светодиодные индикаторы загораются по одному.

При проверке несмонтированного соединительного кабеля основной и дистанционный

проверочные модули могут оставаться неразъединенными.

При проверке смонтированного кабеля дистанционный модуль должен быть отсоединен от

основного. Подключите один конец кабеля к соответствующему разъему основного проверочного

модуля, а другой его конец ― к соответствующему разъему дистанционного проверочного модуля.

Примечание. При переключении в нужный режим тестирования загораются светодиодные индикаторы

контактов на основном и дистанционном проверочных модулях, отображающие результаты.

При тестировании кабелей с разъемами DisplayPort―DisplayPort используйте номера со

стороны “A pin” на основном и дистанционном проверочных модулях. Для кабелей с разъемами

DisplayPort―Mini DisplayPort и Mini DisplayPort―Mini DisplayPort используйте номера со стороны “С

pin” на основном и дистанционном проверочных модулях.

Примечание. Данное изделие предназначено для проверки кабелей длиной до 15 м.

При обнаружении соединения на обоих концах кабеля загораются соответствующие светодиодные

индикаторы. Ниже перечислены примеры распознаваемых соединений со схемами, на которых

показано, какие контакты должны загораться для каждого типа соединения.

Примечание. При отсутствии распознанного соединения между разъемами проверяемого кабеля светодиодные

индикаторы не загораются

Прямое (правильное) соединение

Если загораются все светодиодные индикаторы на основном и дистанционном модулях, это

означает, что кабель имеет правильную разводку и готов к монтажу/использованию.

Кросс-соединение

Если провода внутри кабеля перепутываются или пересекаются между собой, то светодиодные

индикаторы на дистанционном модуле загораются в порядке, соответствующем их разводке.

Как показано на приведенной ниже схеме, когда на основном модуле загорается индикатор,

соответствующий контакту 14, на дистанционном модуле загорается индикатор, соответствующий

контакту 19, что свидетельствует о наличии кросс-соединения.

Примечание. Тестирование кросс-соединений в режиме “Continuity” невозможно.

Согласно положениям Директивы об утилизации отходов электрического и электронного оборудования (WEEE) и исполнительных распоряжений по ее применению, при

покупке потребителями нового электрического или электронного оборудования производства компании Tripp Lite они получают право на:

• Продажу старого оборудования по принципу “один за один” и/или на эквивалентной основе (в зависимости от конкретной страны)

• Отправку нового оборудования на переработку после окончательной выработки его ресурса

Не рекомендуется использование данного оборудования в системах жизнеобеспечения, где его выход из строя предположительно может привести к перебоям в работе оборудования
