The AC outlet used for this machine must be nearby and must not be blocked. This machine contains moving parts that can catch hair, loose clothing or jewelry. During operation and maintenance, keep hair, loose clothing and jewelry clear of moving parts. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before attempting any service to the unit, and before removing the cover for any reason. Attention: For equipment that plugs in, the socket/outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be readily accessible. 1 2 Caution 1. Do not insert thick cardboard, metal, hard paper, etc. into the opener. 2. Do not feed envelopes fastened with staples or clips. 3. Do not touch the cutters with your fingers. 1 OPERATION 1. Tap the bottom of the envelope to slide the contents to the bottom. 2. Align the top of the envelope to the guide. Starting from the left, feed the envelope into the cutter. The opener will automatically switch on when the envelope touches the lever. When the cutter catches the envelope, either release it or allow it to slide through your fingers. Guide large envelopes by hand until they are completely opened. Note: If unit jams, unplug it and clear cutters. FONCTIONNEMENT 1. 2. Mise en Garde 1. Ne pas toucher les lames des doigts. 2. Ne pas insérer les enveloppes portant des agrafes ou des trombones. 3. Ne pas insérer du carton épais, du métal, du papier dur, dans l’ouvre-lettres. Frapper doucement le dessous de l’enveloppe pour faire descendre le con tenu. 2 Aligner le dessus de l’enveloppe sur le guide. Commencer de la gauche et passer l’enveloppe par l’ouvre-lettres. Lorsque l’enveloppetouchera au levi er, l’ouvre-lettres se mettra en marche automatiquement. Au moment où l’ouvre-lettres prend l’enveloppe, la lâcher ou la laisser glisser par les doigts. Guider les grandes enveloppes manuellement jusqu’a ce qu’elles soient entierement ouvertes. Note: Se la unité se bloque, la debrancer et deloger les lames. Atención FUNCIONAMIENTO 1. Golpear ligeramente la parte inferior del sobre para que el contenido se deslize hacia abajo. 2. Alinear la parte superior del sobre con laguía. Comenzando por la izquier da, insertar el sobre en la cuchilla. El abrecartas se enciende automatica mente cuando el sobre toque la palanca. Cuando la cuchilla coja el sobre suéltelo o déjelo deslizar entre los dedos. Guie los sobres grandes con la mano hasta que esten completamente abiertos. Nota: Si la unidad se atasca, desconectelo y desaloje las cuchillas. 1. No toque las cuchillas con los dedos. 2. No introduzca sobres con grapas o presillas. 3. No iserte cartón grueso, metal, papel duro, etc. en el abrecartas. 3
