Attention! Let the vehicle sit with the key
out of the ignition for a few minutes before
removing the factory radio. When testing the
aftermarket equipment, ensure that all factory
equipment is connected before cycling the
key to ignition.

CONNECTIONS
From the 16-pin harness with stripped leads to the aftermarket radio:
• Connect the Red wire to the accessory wire.
Note: If installing an ASWC-1 (sold separately), there will be an accessory wire on the 12-pin
pre-wired ASWC-1 harness to connect as well.
• Connect the Orange/White wire to the illumination wire. If the aftermarket radio does not
have an illumination wire, tape off the Orange/White wire.
• Connect the Blue/White wire to the amp turn on wire. This wire must be connected to hear
sound from the factory amplifier.
• If also installing an ASWC-1 (not included), connect the Brown wire to the Brown wire in the
12-pin pre-wired ASWC-1 harness.
• Connect the Gray wire to the right front positive speaker output.
• Connect the Gray/Black wire to the right front negative speaker output.
• Connect the White wire to the left front positive speaker output.
• Connect the White/Black wire to the left front negative speaker output.
• Connect the Green wire to the left rear positive speaker output.
• Connect the Green/Black wire to the left rear negative speaker output.
• Connect the Purple wire to the right rear positive speaker output.
• Connect the Purple/Black wire to the right rear negative speaker output.
The following (3) wires are only for multimedia/navigation radios that require these wires.
• Connect the Light Green wire to the parking brake wire.
• Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the speed sense wire.
• Connect the Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire.
From the GMOS-MOST-01 harness to the aftermarket radio:
• Connect the Black wire to the ground wire.
• Connect the Yellow wire to the battery wire.
• Connect the Brown wire, to the Brown wire from the
16-pin harness with stripped leads
.
• If retaining the factory AUX-IN jack is desired, connect the Red and White RCA jacks to the
audio AUX-IN jacks from the aftermarket radio.
Note: a) The jack can only be used if it is a single jack.
b) If the jack has a USB port as well, neither can be retained.
• Disregard the Red wire, it will not be used in this application.
12-pin pre-wired ASWC-1 harness
This harness is to be used along with the ASWC-1 (sold separately) to retain steering wheel audio
controls. If the ASWC-1 is not being used, disregard this harness. If it will be used, please refer to
the following instructions, and the ASWC-1 instructions for radio connections and programming.
Disregard the harness that comes with
the ASWC-1.
• Connect the Red wire to the
accessory wire.
•
Connect the Green/Black wire, to the
Green/Black wire in the 8-pin Black
connector located in the steering
column. (Figure A)

• Connect the Brown wire to the Brown wire from the 16-pin harness with stripped
leads.

CONNECTIONS (CONT)
DIN jack:
Disregard the DIN jack, it will not be used in this application.
Note: The relay attached to the GMOS-MOST-01 harness is only for audible turn signal clicks. No
extra steps are required to retain this feature, so leave the relay as-is.
From the backup camera harness:
To the aftermarket radio:
• Connect the Yellow RCA jack to the BACKUP CAMERA input.
To the vehicle:
• Connect the
backup camera harness
, to the male Gray connector removed from the Human
Machine Interface module (HMI). (Figure B)
For the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon:
• The HMI module is located in the radio cavity, down low.
For all other models:
• The HMI module is located behind the glove box. There are (2) modules behind the glove
box. The HMI module is behind the metal dashboard support. (Figure C)
• Drop the glove box down by first removing the retaining cable on the right side. Then
squeeze the glove box sides and gently pull down.
• Remove (6) T-15 Torx screws securing the plastic panel now exposed.
From the 10-pin or 12-pin jumper harness to the vehicle:
If the vehicle
does not
have a CD or DVD-Drive, disregard these steps.
For models
without
rear seat entertainment:
• Connect the
female
Black 10-pin jumper harness, to the
male
Black 10-pin harness
removed from the CD-Drive.
For models
with
rear seat entertainment:
• Connect the
female
Black 12-pin jumper harness, to the
male
Black 12-pin harness
removed from the DVD-Drive.
Note: Even though this step must be done for models with rear seat entertainment,
the rear seat entertainment system will not be retained by this interface.

GMOS-MOST-01
With the key in the off position:
•
Connect the 16-pin harness with stripped leads, and the GMOS-MOST-01 harness into the interface.
• Connect the GMOS-MOST-01 harness to the wiring harness in the vehicle.
• If an ASWC-1 (sold separately) will be used, do not connect it until the GMOS-MOST-01 is programmed and fully functional.
INSTALLATION
PROGRAMMING
AUDIO LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
Attention! If the interface loses power for any reason, the following steps will need to be performed again.
• Turn the key (or push-to-start button) to the ignition position and wait until the radio comes on.
Note: If the radio doesn’t come on within 60 seconds, turn the key to the off position, disconnect the interface, check all
connections, reconnect the interface, then try again.
• Turn the key to the off position, then to the accessory position. Test all functions of the installation for proper operation, before
reassembling the dash.
•
With the vehicle and radio turned on, turn the volume up 3/4 of the way.
•
Locate the end of the GMOS-MOST-02, where the 16-pin harness with stripped leads connects to.
•
With a small flat-blade screwdriver, adjust the potentiometer clockwise to raise the audio level; counterclockwise to lower the audio level.
•
Once at a desired level, audio level adjustment is complete.

¡Atención!
Deje que el vehículo se asiente

CONEXIONES
Desde el arnés de 16 pins con conectores pelados al radio de mercado secundario:
• Conecte el cable rojo con el cable de accesorios.
Nota: Si va a instalar el ASWC-1 (se vende por separado), habrá un cable de accesorio que
también debe conectar.
• Conecte el cable anaranjado/blanco con el cable de iluminación. Si el radio de mercado
secundario no tiene cable de iluminación, encinte el cable anaranjado/blanco.
• Conecte el cable azul/blanco al cable de encendido del amplificador. Este cable debe estar
conectado para escuchar sonido del amplificador de fábrica.
• Si se utiliza el opcional ASWC-1 (no incluido), conecte el cable marrón al el cable marrón en
el 12-pin pre-cableado ASWC-1 arnés.
• Conecte el cable gris con la salida positiva de la bocina derecha del frente.
• Conecte el cable gris/negro con la salida negativa de la bocina derecha del frente.
• Conecte el cable blanco con la salida positiva de la bocina izquierda delantera.
• Conecte el cable blanco/negro con la salida negativa de la bocina izquierda delantera.
• Conecte el cable verde con la salida de la bocina positiva izquierda de atrás.
• Conecte el cable verde/negro con la salida negativa de la bocina izquierda de atrás.
• Conecte el cable púrpura con la salida positiva de la bocina derecha de atrás.
• Conecte el cable púrpura/negro con la salida negativa de la bocina derecha de atrás.
Los siguientes (3) cables son para radios de mercado secundario con multimedios/navegación
que tienen estos cables:
• Conecte el cable verde claro al cable de freno de mano.
• Conecte el cable azul/rosa al cable del sensor de velocidad.
• Conecte el cable verde/púrpura al cable de reversa.
Desde el arnés GMOS-MOST-01 al radio de mercado secundario:
• Conecte el cable negro al cable de tierra.
• Conecte el cable amarillo al cable de la batería.
• Conecte el cable marrón con el cable marrón en el arnés de 16-pins con conectores pelados.
• Si desea retener la toma AUX-IN de fábrica, conecte las tomas RCA roja y blanca a las tomas
AUX-IN de audio de la radio no original.
Nota: (a) El conector sólo puede utilizarse si se trata de una sola toma.
(b) Si el conector también tiene un puerto USB, ninguno puede retenerse.
• Ignore el cable rojo; no se utilizará en esta aplicación.
Arnés ASWC-1 precableado de 12 pins
Este arnés se debe usar junto con el ASWC-1 (no incluido) para retener los controles de audio en el
volante. Si no se usará el ASWC-1, ignore este arnés. Si se va a utilizar, consulte las instrucciones de
ASWC-1 para las conexiones del radio y la
programación. Ignore el arnés que viene
con el ASWC-1.
• Conecte el cable rojo con el cable de
accesorios.
• Conecte el cable verde/negro al el
cable verde/negro en el conector de
8-pins negro debajo de la columna

Conector DIN:
Ignore el conector DIN, no se utilizará en esta aplicación.
Nota: El relé adjunto a la arnés GMOS-MOST-01 únicamente es para los chasquidos audibles de
la señal direccional. No se requieren pasos adicionales para retener esta característica, así que
deje el relé como está.
Desde el arnés de la cámara de reversa
Al radio de mercado secundario:
• Conecte el conector RCA amarillo a la entrada de la cámara de reversa.
Al vehículo:
• Conecte el
arnés de la cámara de reversa
al conector gris macho que se extrajo del módulo
de interfaz hombre-máquina (HMI). (Figura B)
Desde el Chevy Colorado y GMC Canyon:
• El HMI módulo se encuentra en la cavidad de radio, en baja.
Para todos los demás modelos:
• El HMI módulo se encuentra detrás de la guantera. Hay (2) módulos detrás de la
guantera. El HMIt módulo está detrás del soporte del salpicadero metal. (Figura C)
• La caída de la caja de guantes por primera quitar el cable de retención en el lado
derecho. Luego apretar los lados de la caja de guantes y tire suavemente hacia abajo.
• Quitar (6) tornillos T-15 Torx que sujetan el panel de plástico ahora expuestos.
Desde el 10-pin o arnés puente de 12-pins al vehículo:
Si el vehículo
no dispone
de un CD o DVD- Drive, no tener en cuenta estos pasos.
Para los modelos
sin
entretenimiento para el asiento trasero:
• Conecte el arnés negro puente de 10-pins
hembra

eliminado desde el CD-Drive.
Para los modelos
con
entretenimiento para el asiento trasero:

Nota: Aunque este paso debe realizarse para los modelos con entretenimiento en el asiento
trasero, esta interfaz no conservará el sistema de entretenimiento del asiento trasero.

Con la llave en la posición de apagado:
• Conecte el arnés de 16 pins con conectores pelados, y arnés GMOS-MOST-01 a la interfase.
• Conecte el arnés GMOS-MOST-01 al arnés de cableado del vehículo.
•
Si se usa un ASWC-1 (se vende por separado), no lo conecte hasta que el GMOS-MOST-01 esté programado y sea completamente funcional.

PROGRAMACIÓN
AJUSTE DEL NIVEL DE AUDIO
Atención! Si la interfaz pierde la alimentación por cualquier motivo, deberá realizar el siguiente paso de nuevo.
• Gire la llave (o pulsar para botón de inicio) a la posición de encendido y esperar hasta que la radio se enciende.
Nota: Si la radio no se enciende en 60 segundos, gire la llave a la posición de apagado, desconecte la interfaz, verifique todas
las conexiones, vuelva a conectar la interfaz y vuelva a intentarlo.
• Gire la llave a la posición de apagado, y luego a la posición de accesorios. Pruebe todas las funciones de la instalación para su
correcto funcionamiento, antes de volver a montar el tablero.
• Con el vehículo y el radio encendidos, aumente el volumen hasta 3/4 de su totalidad.
• Ubique el extremo del GMOS-MOST-02, donde el arnés de 16 pines con cables pelados se conecta a
• Con un pequeño destornillador, ajuste el potenciómetro hacia la derecha para aumentar el nivel de audio y hacia la izquierda para
disminuir el nivel de audio.
• Una vez que haya llegado al nivel deseado, el ajuste del nivel de audio está completo.
