ALL WALL AND FLOOR OPENINGS WHERE THE RANGE HOOD IS INSTALLED MUST BE SEALED.
This Range Hood requires at least 35" of clearance between the bottom of the Range Hood and the cooking
surface or countertop. This hood has been approved by UL at this distance from the cooktop.
Consult the cooktop or range installation instructions given by the manufacturer before making any cutouts.
MOBILE HOME INSTALLATION The installation of this Range Hood must conform to the Manufactured
Home Construction and Safety Standards, Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 (formerly Federal Standard for Mobile Home
Construction and Safety, Title 24, HUD, Part 280).
• Venting system MUST terminate outside the home.
• DO NOT terminate the ductwork in an attic or other enclosed space.
• DO NOT use 4" laundry-type wall caps.
• Flexible-type ductwork is not recommended.
• DO NOT obstruct the ow of combustion and ventilation air.
• Failure to follow venting requirements may result in a re.

VENTING REQUIREMENTS
Determine which venting method is best for your application. Ductwork can extend either through the wall or the roof.
The length of the ductwork and the number of elbows should be kept to a minimum to provide efcient performance. The
size of the ductwork should be uniform. Do not install two elbows together. Use duct tape to seal all joints in the ductwork
system. Use caulking to seal exterior walls and ceiling space opening around the cap.
Flexible ductwork is not recommended. Flexible ductwork creates back pressure and air turbulence
that greatly reduces performance.
Make sure there is proper clearance within the walls and ceiling space for exhaust duct before making cutouts. Do not
cut a joist or stud unless absolutely necessary. If a joist or stud must be cut, then a supporting frame must be constructed.

Cold Weather installations
An additional back draft damper should be installed to minimize backward cold air ow and a nonmetal-
lic thermal break should be installed to minimize conduction of outside temperatures as part of the vent
system. The damper should be on the cold air side of the thermal break. The break should be as close as
possible to where the vent system enters the heated portion of the house.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
A 120 volt, 60 Hz AC-only electrical supply is required on a separate 15 amp fused circuit. A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker
is recommended. The fuse must be sized per local codes in accordance with the electrical rating of this unit as specied
on the serial/rating plate located inside the unit near the eld wiring compartment.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION WITH WIRING BOX
THIS UNIT MUST BE CONNECTED WITH COPPER WIRE ONLY. Wire sizes must conform to the requirements of the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 - latest edition, and all local codes and ordinances. Wire size and connections
must conform with the rating of the appliance. Copies of the standard listed above may be obtained from:

This appliance should be connected directly to the fused disconnect (or circuit breaker) through exible, armored
or nonmetallic sheathed copper cable. Allow some slack in the cable so the appliance can be moved if servicing
is ever necessary. A UL Listed, 1/2" conduit connector must be provided at each end of the power supply cable
(at the appliance and at the junction box).
When making the electrical connection, cut a 1 1/4" hole. A hole cut through wood must be sanded until smooth.
A hole through metal must have a grommet.
• Electrical ground is required on this Range Hood.
• If cold water pipe is interrupted by plastic, nonmetallic gaskets or other materials, DO NOT use for
grounding.
• DO NOT ground to a gas pipe.
• DO NOT have a fuse in the neutral or grounding circuit. A fuse in the neutral or grounding circuit could
result in electrical shock.
• Check with a qualied electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the Range Hood is properly
grounded.
• Failure to follow electrical requirements may result in a re.

Recommended 60" mounting height above the cooking surface for best performance, but can be mounted up
to 72" maximum away the cooking surface.

is held by a magnet catch, pull down with enough
force to release as shown below.
Remove the grease lters one at a time, pushing
them towards the back of the unit, and at the
same time pulling downward and set aside.

Use a plumb line to mark the center of the
range on the ceiling. Mark the centers.

MUST BE FIRMLY ATTACHED TO
THE CEILING. For plaster or sheet
rock ceiling, the support must be
attached to the joists. If this is not pos-
sible, a support structure must be built
behind the plaster or sheet rock. The
manufacturer assumes no responsibil-
ity for injury or damage caused by
improper installations.

• For all installations, an access point to the hood must be created for installation and future maintenance
of the hood.
• Put a thick, protective covering over cooktop to protect from damage or dirt.
• Use the mounting template on the ceiling to determine placement of mounting screws on the ceiling.
• Mark the center of the holes in the ceiling template.
• Determine and make necessary cuts for the ductwork.
• Install ductwork before mounting the hood.
• Determine the proper location for the Power Supply Cable as indicated on the Template.
• Use a 1 1/4" Drill Bit to make this hole.
• Run the Power Supply Cable. Use caulking to seal around the hole.
• A knockout for threading through the Power Supply from the ceiling is located on the top of the Range
Hood.
• Do not connect the Power Cable to the Wiring Box or power up the hood at this time.
• Run enough power cable from the ceiling to reach the wiring box on the hood.

INSTALLATION OF RANGE HOOD BODY
To determine the length of the 4 mounting bolts:
Measure the total distance between the ceiling mounting area and the bottom of the
hood / where the ceiling begins.
Subtract 4 1/2" (5 1/16" - 9/16") from the total distance to determine the correct length.
Trim the excess length of the bolts.
For example if 13" is between the mounting area and the ceiling , 13" - 4 1/2" = 8 1/2"
would be the total length needed for the bolts.

Use holes created with drilling template for location of the ceiling fasteners (purchased separately).
Use wall plugs or other securing hardware in conjunction with the ceiling fasteners (purchased separately).
(1) Use a 5/16" Drill Bit to make these hole.
(2) Use wall plugs if appropriate or other securing hardware in conjunction with the ceiling fasteners (purchased
separately).
(3) Attach the threaded bolts to the ceiling bolt brackets by screwing the bolt into the bracket until tight and
secure.

Make sure the bolts are the correct distance apart to t into the corresponding holes in the hood.
Pull down the perimetric panel and remove the grease lters. Carefully push the hood into the ceiling and
insert the 4 bolts into the accepting holes on the hood. Attach the washer and nuts tightly onto the 4 bolts.

• Attach each charcoal lter to the black grid on each side of
the blower.
• Press the charcoal lter tightly to the black grid on the blower
side and rotate the lter clockwise (towards the front of the
insert hood) until it locks into place (A).
• Turn counterclockwise (towards the back of the insert hood)
to remove (B).

USE AND CARE INFORMATION
For Best Results
Start the Range Hood several minutes before cooking to develop proper airow. Allow the Range Hood to operate for
several minutes after cooking is complete to clear all smoke and odors from the kitchen.

   
Button Function Led

   
Turns the lights on/off at maximum strength. -
Press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the Dimmer
Lights On/Off.
-

   
Turns the motor on/off at speed one. ON
Delay function:
Press and hold the button for approx. 3 seconds to Activate/Deactivate the
Delay function (automatic switching off of the Motor, and the Lighting with a 30
min. delay). Cannot be enabled when Intensive is on.

   
Turns the Motor on at speed two. ON
Activate Charcoal Filter Alarm
Press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds, with all the hood turned
off (Motor and Lights), to turn the alarm on. The relevant LED ashes twice
to conrm. To turn the alarm off, press the button again and hold for at least 5
seconds. The relevant LED ashes once.

   
Turns the Motor on at speed three. ON
Grease Filter Alarm
To reset the alarm: press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds, with
the hood turned off (Motor and Lights), and until the LED S1 ashes three times.

   
Turns the Motor on at INTENSIVE Speed.
This speed is timed to run for 6 minutes. At the end of this time, the system
returns automatically to the speed that was set before. If it is activated with the
motor turned off, the hood will switch to OFF at the end of the time.

Signals the Metal Grease Filter saturation alarm, indicating that it is necessary
to wash the lters. The alarm is triggered after the Hood has been in operation
for 100 working hours.

When this is activated, it signals:
The Activated Charcoal Filter saturation alarm, indicating that the lter must be
changed;
The Metal Grease Filters must also be washed. The Activated Charcoal Filter
saturation alarm turns on after the Hood has been working for 200 hours.
Flashing.

Remote control information
The appliance can be controlled using a remote control powered by a 1.5 V carbon-zinc
alkaline batteries of the standard LR03-AAA type (not included).
• Used batteries must be disposed of in the proper manner.
Caution:
• Do not place the remote control near heat
sources.
• Do not discard the batteries with normal waste,
they must be put into the specic containers.
• Make sure the battery compartment is screwed
down at and is fully tightened.

Attention: This hood has been engineered to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) originating
from the consumer's home power source. However, in some home application, ambient EMI and
excessive EMI from other electronic sources can compromise the reliability of the remote control.
Please speak with your Faber Distributor about an optional spare part to further reduce EMI from home
sources.

Cleaningmetalgreaselters
These can be washed in the dishwasher, and need to be cleaned
whenever the S1 LED comes on or at least once every 2 months
of use, or more frequently if use is particularly intensive.
Resetting the Grease Filter Alarm
• Turn the Lights and the Hood off.
• Press

   
and hold for at least 3 seconds, until LED ashes
three times in conrmation.
Cleaning the Filters
• Open the Panel.
• Remove the Filters one at a time, pushing them towards
the back of the unit and at the same time pulling downward.
• Wash the Filters without bending them, and leave them to
dry completely before replacing. (If the surface of the lter
changes color as time goes by, this will have absolutely no
effect on the efciency of the lter itself.)
• Replace the grease lters, taking care to ensure that the
handle faces forward.
• Completely dry the lters before reinstalling. Otherwise, left
over grease may heat and drip.
• Close the Panel.
Replacing Activated Charcoal Filter
They cannot be washed or regenerated, and must be
changed when LED S1 starts to ash, or at least once
every 4 months. The Alarm signal, if it has been activated,
only appears when the Hood Blower is turned on.
Resetting the alarm signal
• Turn the Lights and the Hood Blower off.
• Press


Cleaning the Filters
• Open the Panel.
• Remove the Metal Grease Filter.
• Remove the saturated Activated Charcoal Filters, as
indicated (A).
• Fit the new Filters, as indicated (B).
• Replace the Metal grease lters.
• Close the Panel.

Franke Home Solutions Warranty for Franke and Faber Branded Product
Effective March 1, 2022
In the United States, Canada and Latin America, Franke warrants the Faber branded products from manufacturing defects
in material and workmanship when purchased from a Franke or Faber Authorized Retailer pursuant to product-specific
warranties detailed herein (each, a “Warranty” and collectively, the “Warranties”). The products must be properly installed,
per Franke’s installation instructions, in their original installation, and used in normal indoor residential kitchen
applications. Any products or components which have been modified or altered from their original intended condition will
void the Warranty. The Franke Warranties for Faber branded products are limited to the original purchaser and are non-
transferrable. These Warranties do not include products purchased from non-Authorized Retailers, products that are
obsolete or discontinued, or products that were previous display models. All issues with installed products are considered
warranty claims and not subject to the Return Policy. Franke reserves the right to inspect any Franke / Faber product
reported to be defective pursuant to a Warranty claim and the original installation prior to providing a replacement product
and/or component. All decisions are final. In no situation shall the liability of Franke exceed the amount of the original
purchase price.
The Warranties do not cover, and Franke shall not be liable for, any damage to products or components resulting from
misuse or abuse, accidental damages, normal wear such as scuffs, scratches or finish reduction/fading, improper
installation, abnormal usage, negligence, damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning. Damage caused by
impurities, corrosive chemicals or acts beyond Franke’s control are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to correct
the installation of a range hood, instructions on how to operate a range hood, to replace or repair house fuses or to correct
house wiring or plumbing are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to repair or replace range hood light bulbs, fuses
or filters and these consumable part costs are also excluded from Warranty coverage. Installation not in accordance with
electrical or plumbing codes or Franke / Faber documentation are not covered by any Warranty. Replacement parts or
repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States, Canada or Latin America, including any non-UL or C-UL or
non-NOM approved Franke / Faber range hoods are excluded from Warranty coverage. Expenses for travel and
transportation for service in remote locations and pickup and delivery charges are not covered by any Warranty. Franke /
Faber range hoods should always be serviced in the home in their original installation.
Franke / Faber product replacements do not include liability for project delays. Product replacements are not guaranteed
to be exact replacements. If the original product is not available at the time of the warranty claim, at Franke’s option, the
product replacements will be of similar size, material, and value. Any products or components which have been modified
or altered, from its original intended condition will void the warranty.
The Warranties do not allow recovery of incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use, delay, property
damage or other consequential damage, and Franke accepts no liability for such damages. Each Warranty is limited to

TOUTES LES OUVERTURES DANS LES PAROIS ET LE PLANCHER OÙ LA HOTTE EST INSTALLÉE
DOIVENT ÊTRE SCELLÉES.
Cettehottenécessiteundégagementd'aumoins35pouces entre le bas de la hotte et la surface de cuisson
ou le comptoir. Elle a été approuvée par les LA à cette distance de la table de cuisson.
Consultez les instructions d'installation de la table de cuisson ou de la cuisinière données par le fabricant avant
de faire des découpes. INSTALLATION DANS DES MOBIL-HOMES L'installation de cette hotte de cuisine
doit être conforme aux normes de construction et de sécurité des maisons mobiles, titre 24 CFR, partie 3280
(anciennement norme fédérale pour la construction et la sécurité des mobil-homes, titre 24, HUD, partie 280).
• Le système de ventilation DOIT se terminer à l'extérieur de la maison.
• NE PAS faire aboutir le conduit dans un grenier ou un autre espace fermé.
• NE PAS Utiliser de capuchons muraux de 4 pouces de type blanchisserie.
• Les conduits de type exible ne sont pas recommandés.
• NE PAS obstruer le ux d'air de combustion et de ventilation.
• Le non-respect des exigences en matière de ventilation peut entraîner un incendie.

EXIGENCES EN MATIÈRE DE VENTILATION
Déterminez la méthode de ventilation qui convient le mieux à votre application. Les conduits peuvent passer soit
par le mur, soit par le toit.
La longueur des conduits et le nombre de coudes doivent être réduits au minimum pour assurer une performance
efcace. La taille des conduits doit être uniforme. N'installez pas deux coudes ensemble. Utilisez du ruban
adhésif pour sceller tous les joints du système de conduits. Utilisez du calfeutrage pour sceller les murs extérieurs
et l'ouverture de l'espace du plafond qui entour le capuchon.
Les conduits exibles ne sont pas recommandés. Ils créent une contre-pression et des turbulences
d'air qui réduisent considérablement les performances.
Avant de faire des découpes, assurez-vous qu'il y a un dégagement approprié dans les murs et l'espace du plafond
pour le conduit d'évacuation. Ne coupez pas une solive ou un montant à moins que cela ne soit absolument
nécessaire. Si vous devez couper une solive ou un montant, veuillez construire un cadre de support.

Installations par temps froid
Veuillez installer un clapet anti-retour supplémentaire pour minimiser le retour de l'air froid ainsi
qu’un dispositif de coupure thermique non métallique pour minimiser la conduction des températures
extérieures dans le système de ventilation. Le clapet doit se trouver du côté de l'air froid de la coupure
thermique. La coupure doit être aussi près que possible de l'endroit où le système de ventilation entre
dans la partie chauée de la maison.

EXIGENCES ÉLECTRIQUES
Une alimentation électrique de 120 volts, 60 Hz, uniquement en CA, est requise sur un circuit séparé à fusible de
15 ampères. Nous recommandons un fusible à retardement ou un disjoncteur. Le fusible doit être dimensionné
en fonction des codes locaux et de la puissance électrique de l'appareil, comme indiqué sur la plaque signalétique
située à l'intérieur de l'appareil, près du compartiment de câblage.
INSTALLATION ÉLECTRIQUE AVEC BOÎTE DE DÉRIVATION
CET APPAREIL DOIT ÊTRE RACCORDÉ AVEC DU FIL DE CUIVRE UNIQUEMENT. La taille des ls doit être
conforme aux exigences du Code national de l'électricité, ANSI/NFPA 70 - dernière édition, et à tous les codes
et ordonnances locaux. La taille des ls et les connexions doivent être conformes à la puissance nominale de

Cet appareil doit être relié directement au sectionneur à fusible (ou au disjoncteur) par un câble en cuivre exible,
armé ou à gaine non métallique. Laissez un peu de mou dans le câble an de pouvoir déplacer l'appareil si une
intervention est nécessaire. Un connecteur de conduit 1/2" homologué UL doit être fourni à chaque extrémité du
câble d'alimentation (à l'appareil et à la boîte de jonction).
Lors du raccordement électrique, découpez un trou de 1 1/4". Un trou percé dans le bois doit être poncé jusqu'à
ce qu'il soit lisse. Un trou dans le métal doit être muni d'un passe-l.
• Une mise à la terre électrique est requise sur cette hotte.
• Si le tube d'eau froide est interrompu par du plastique, des joints non métalliques ou d'autres
matériaux, NE l'utilisez PAS pour la mise à la terre.
• NE mettez PAS à la terre un tube de gaz.
• N’ayez PAS de fusible dans le circuit neutre ou de mise à la terre. Un fusible dans le circuit neutre ou
de mise à la terre pourrait provoquer un choc électrique.
• Vériez auprès d'un électricien qualié si vous avez des doutes quant à la mise à la terre de la hotte.
• Le non-respect des exigences électriques peut entraîner un incendie.

• Mettez un revêtement épais et protecteur sur la table de cuisson pour la protéger des dommages ou

• Utilisez le gabarit de montage au plafond pour déterminer l'emplacement des vis de montage au plafond.
• Marquez le centre des trous dans le gabarit du plafond.
• Déterminez la position et effectuez les découpes nécessaires pour faire passer les conduits.
• Installez les conduits avant de monter la hotte.
• Repérez l'emplacement approprié pour le câble d'alimentation, comme indiqué sur le gabarit.
• Utilisez un foret de 1 1/4" pour faire ce trou.
• Faites passer le câble d'alimentation. Utilisez un produit de calfeutrage pour sceller le trou.
• Un alvéole défonçable pour le passage du câble d'alimentation depuis le plafond se situe sur le dessus de la hotte.
• Ne connectez pas le câble d'alimentation à la boîte de câblage et ne mettez pas la hotte sous tension pour le moment.
• Faites passer sufsamment de câble d'alimentation depuis le plafond pour atteindre la boîte de câblage
sur la hotte.

INSTALLATION DU CORPS DE LA HOTTE
Pour déterminer la longueur des 4 boulons de montage :
Mesurez la distance totale entre la zone de montage au plafond et le bas de la hotte / là
où commence le plafond.
Soustraire 4 1/2" (5 1/16" - 9/16") de la distance totale pour déterminer la bonne
longueur. Couper la longueur excédentaire des boulons.
Par exemple, si 13" est entre la zone de montage et le plafond, 13" - 4 1/2" = 8 1/2"
serait la longueur totale nécessaire pour les boulons.

Pourdemeilleursrésultats
Mettez la hotte en marche plusieurs minutes avant la cuisson pour assurer une bonne circulation de l'air. Laissez
la hotte fonctionner pendant plusieurs minutes après la n de la cuisson pour évacuer la fumée et les odeurs
de la cuisine.


lorsque la fonction Intensive est activée.


l'alarme. La LED correspondante clignote deux fois pour conrmer. Pour
désactiver l'alarme, réappuyez sur le bouton et maintenez-le enfoncé
pendant au moins 5 secondes. La LED correspondante clignote une fois.


Alarme du ltre à graisse
Pour réinitialiser l'alarme : appuyez sur le bouton pendant environ 3
secondes, la hotte étant éteinte (moteur et lumières), et jusqu'à ce que la
LED S1 clignote trois fois.


Met le moteur en marche à une vitesse INTENSIVE.
Cette vitesse est programmée pour fonctionner pendant 6 minutes. A la
n de ce temps, le système revient automatiquement à la vitesse dénie
auparavant. Si elle est activée alors que le moteur est éteint, la hotte se
mettra sur DÉSACTIVÉE une fois le délai écoulé.

Franke Home Solutions Warranty for Franke and Faber Branded Product
Effective March 1, 2022
In the United States, Canada and Latin America, Franke warrants the Faber branded products from manufacturing defects
in material and workmanship when purchased from a Franke or Faber Authorized Retailer pursuant to product-specific
warranties detailed herein (each, a “Warranty” and collectively, the “Warranties”). The products must be properly installed,
per Franke’s installation instructions, in their original installation, and used in normal indoor residential kitchen
applications. Any products or components which have been modified or altered from their original intended condition will
void the Warranty. The Franke Warranties for Faber branded products are limited to the original purchaser and are non-
transferrable. These Warranties do not include products purchased from non-Authorized Retailers, products that are
obsolete or discontinued, or products that were previous display models. All issues with installed products are considered
warranty claims and not subject to the Return Policy. Franke reserves the right to inspect any Franke / Faber product
reported to be defective pursuant to a Warranty claim and the original installation prior to providing a replacement product
and/or component. All decisions are final. In no situation shall the liability of Franke exceed the amount of the original
purchase price.
The Warranties do not cover, and Franke shall not be liable for, any damage to products or components resulting from
misuse or abuse, accidental damages, normal wear such as scuffs, scratches or finish reduction/fading, improper
installation, abnormal usage, negligence, damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning. Damage caused by
impurities, corrosive chemicals or acts beyond Franke’s control are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to correct
the installation of a range hood, instructions on how to operate a range hood, to replace or repair house fuses or to correct
house wiring or plumbing are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to repair or replace range hood light bulbs, fuses
or filters and these consumable part costs are also excluded from Warranty coverage. Installation not in accordance with
electrical or plumbing codes or Franke / Faber documentation are not covered by any Warranty. Replacement parts or
repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States, Canada or Latin America, including any non-UL or C-UL or
non-NOM approved Franke / Faber range hoods are excluded from Warranty coverage. Expenses for travel and
transportation for service in remote locations and pickup and delivery charges are not covered by any Warranty. Franke /
Faber range hoods should always be serviced in the home in their original installation.
Franke / Faber product replacements do not include liability for project delays. Product replacements are not guaranteed
to be exact replacements. If the original product is not available at the time of the warranty claim, at Franke’s option, the
product replacements will be of similar size, material, and value. Any products or components which have been modified
or altered, from its original intended condition will void the warranty.
The Warranties do not allow recovery of incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use, delay, property
damage or other consequential damage, and Franke accepts no liability for such damages. Each Warranty is limited to
the conditions set forth herein and to the applicable warranty period specified herein and is exclusive. EXCEPT FOR THE
WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN, FRANKE MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE

impurities, corrosive chemicals or acts beyond Franke’s control are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to correct
the installation of a range hood, instructions on how to operate a range hood, to replace or repair house fuses or to correct
house wiring or plumbing are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to repair or replace range hood light bulbs, fuses
or filters and these consumable part costs are also excluded from Warranty coverage. Installation not in accordance with
electrical or plumbing codes or Franke / Faber documentation are not covered by any Warranty. Replacement parts or
repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States, Canada or Latin America, including any non-UL or C-UL or
non-NOM approved Franke / Faber range hoods are excluded from Warranty coverage. Expenses for travel and
transportation for service in remote locations and pickup and delivery charges are not covered by any Warranty. Franke /
Faber range hoods should always be serviced in the home in their original installation.
Franke / Faber product replacements do not include liability for project delays. Product replacements are not guaranteed
to be exact replacements. If the original product is not available at the time of the warranty claim, at Franke’s option, the
product replacements will be of similar size, material, and value. Any products or components which have been modified
or altered, from its original intended condition will void the warranty.

TODAS LAS APERTURAS DE LA PARED Y DEL SUELO DONDE SE INSTALE LA CAMPANA EXTRACTORA
DEBEN ESTAR SELLADAS.
EstaCampanaExtractorarequiereunespaciolibredealmenos35" entre la parte inferior de la Campana
Extractora y la supercie de cocción o la encimera. Esta campana ha sido aprobada por UL a esta distancia
de la encimera.
Consulte las instrucciones de instalación de la placa de cocción o de la cocina dadas por el fabricante antes de
hacer cualquier recorte. INSTALACIÓN EN CASAS MÓVILES La instalación de esta campana extractora debe

REQUERIMIENTOS DE VENTILACIÓN
Determine cuál método de ventilación es el mejor para su aplicación. La red de conductos puede extenderse a
través de la pared o del techo.
La longitud de la red de conductos y el número de codos deben reducirse al mínimo para conseguir un rendimiento
ecaz. El tamaño de la red de conductos debe ser uniforme. No instale dos codos juntos. Utilice cinta adhesiva
para sellar todas las juntas del sistema de conductos. Utilice calafateo para sellar las paredes exteriores y la
abertura del espacio del techo alrededor de la tapa.
No se recomienda utilizar conductos exibles. Los conductos exibles crean contrapresión y
turbulencias de aire que reducen considerablemente el rendimiento.
Asegúrese de que hay un espacio libre adecuado dentro de las paredes y el techo para el conducto de escape
antes de hacer los recortes. No corte una viga o montante a menos que sea absolutamente necesario. Si es
necesario cortar una viga o un montante, debe construirse un marco de soporte.

Instalaciones para Climas Fríos
Debe instalarse un regulador de corriente adicional para minimizar el ujo de aire frío de retorno y
debe instalarse un interruptor térmico no metálico para minimizar la conducción de las temperaturas
exteriores como parte del sistema de ventilación. El regulador debe estar situado en el lado del inte-
rruptor térmico. El interruptor debe estar lo más cerca posible del lugar donde el sistema de ventilación
entra en la parte con calefacción de la casa.

REQUERIMIENTOS ELÉCTRICOS
Se requiere un suministro eléctrico de 120 voltios y 60 Hz de CA en un circuito separado con fusible de 15 ampe-
rios. Se recomienda utilizar un fusible de retardo o un interruptor de circuito. El fusible debe estar dimensionado
según los códigos locales de acuerdo con la clasicación eléctrica de esta unidad, tal como se especica en la
placa de serie/clasicación ubicada en el interior de la unidad, cerca del compartimiento de cableado de campo.
INSTALACIÓN ELÉCTRICA CON CAJA DE CABLEADO
ESTA UNIDAD DEBE CONECTARSE SOLO CON CABLE DE COBRE. Los tamaños de los cables deben cumplir
los requisitos del Código Eléctrico Nacional, ANSI/NFPA 70, última edición, y todos los códigos y normativas
locales. El tamaño de los cables y las conexiones deben ajustarse a la clasicación del aparato. Pueden obte-

Este aparato debe conectarse directamente al desconectador con fusible (o disyuntor) a través de un cable de
cobre exible, blindado o con revestimiento no metálico. Dejar un poco de holgura en el cable para poder mover
el aparato en caso de que sea necesario realizar una revisión. En cada extremo del cable de alimentación (en
el aparato y en la caja de conexiones) debe haber un conector de conducto de 1/2" con certicación UL.
Al hacer la conexión eléctrica, haga un agujero de 1 1/4". Un oricio recortado en la madera debe lijarse hasta
que quede liso. Un oricio a través de metal debe tener un ojal.
• Esta Campana Extractora requiere una toma de tierra eléctrica.
• Si la tubería de agua fría está interrumpida por plástico, juntas no metálicas u otros materiales, NO la
utilice para la conexión a tierra.
• NO conecte a tierra una tubería de gas.
• NO tenga un fusible en el circuito neutro o de conexión a tierra. Un fusible en el circuito neutro o de
conexión a tierra podría provocar una descarga eléctrica.
• Consulte a un electricista cualicado si tiene dudas sobre si la Campana Extractora está
correctamente conectada a tierra.
• El incumplimiento de los requerimientos eléctricos puede resultar en un incendio.

• Utilice una broca de 1 1/4" para hacer este agujero.
• Pase el cable de alimentación. Use calafateo para sellar alrededor del agujero.

• No conecte el cable de alimentación a la caja de cableado ni encienda la campana en este momento.

Para determinar la longitud de los 4 pernos de montaje:
Mida la distancia total entre el área de montaje del techo y la parte inferior de la
campana / donde comienza el techo.
Reste 4 1/2" (5 1/16" - 9/16") de la distancia total para determinar la longitud correcta.
Recorte el exceso de longitud de los pernos.
Por ejemplo, si hay 13" entre el área de montaje y el techo, 13" - 4 1/2" = 8 1/2" sería la

cuado. Deje que la Campana Extractora funcione durante varios minutos después de terminar de cocinar para
eliminar todo el humo y los olores de la cocina.

Esta velocidad está programada para funcionar durante 6 minutos. Al

Franke Home Solutions Warranty for Franke and Faber Branded Product
Effective March 1, 2022
In the United States, Canada and Latin America, Franke warrants the Faber branded products from manufacturing defects
in material and workmanship when purchased from a Franke or Faber Authorized Retailer pursuant to product-specific
warranties detailed herein (each, a “Warranty” and collectively, the “Warranties”). The products must be properly installed,
per Franke’s installation instructions, in their original installation, and used in normal indoor residential kitchen
applications. Any products or components which have been modified or altered from their original intended condition will
void the Warranty. The Franke Warranties for Faber branded products are limited to the original purchaser and are non-
transferrable. These Warranties do not include products purchased from non-Authorized Retailers, products that are
obsolete or discontinued, or products that were previous display models. All issues with installed products are considered
warranty claims and not subject to the Return Policy. Franke reserves the right to inspect any Franke / Faber product
reported to be defective pursuant to a Warranty claim and the original installation prior to providing a replacement product
and/or component. All decisions are final. In no situation shall the liability of Franke exceed the amount of the original
purchase price.
The Warranties do not cover, and Franke shall not be liable for, any damage to products or components resulting from
misuse or abuse, accidental damages, normal wear such as scuffs, scratches or finish reduction/fading, improper
installation, abnormal usage, negligence, damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning. Damage caused by
impurities, corrosive chemicals or acts beyond Franke’s control are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to correct
the installation of a range hood, instructions on how to operate a range hood, to replace or repair house fuses or to correct
house wiring or plumbing are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to repair or replace range hood light bulbs, fuses
or filters and these consumable part costs are also excluded from Warranty coverage. Installation not in accordance with
electrical or plumbing codes or Franke / Faber documentation are not covered by any Warranty. Replacement parts or
repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States, Canada or Latin America, including any non-UL or C-UL or
non-NOM approved Franke / Faber range hoods are excluded from Warranty coverage. Expenses for travel and
transportation for service in remote locations and pickup and delivery charges are not covered by any Warranty. Franke /
Faber range hoods should always be serviced in the home in their original installation.
Franke / Faber product replacements do not include liability for project delays. Product replacements are not guaranteed
to be exact replacements. If the original product is not available at the time of the warranty claim, at Franke’s option, the
product replacements will be of similar size, material, and value. Any products or components which have been modified
or altered, from its original intended condition will void the warranty.
The Warranties do not allow recovery of incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use, delay, property
damage or other consequential damage, and Franke accepts no liability for such damages. Each Warranty is limited to
the conditions set forth herein and to the applicable warranty period specified herein and is exclusive. EXCEPT FOR THE
WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN, FRANKE MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE

Franke Home Solutions Warranty for Franke and Faber Branded Product
Effective March 1, 2022
In the United States, Canada and Latin America, Franke warrants the Faber branded products from manufacturing defects
in material and workmanship when purchased from a Franke or Faber Authorized Retailer pursuant to product-specific
warranties detailed herein (each, a “Warranty” and collectively, the “Warranties”). The products must be properly installed,
per Franke’s installation instructions, in their original installation, and used in normal indoor residential kitchen
applications. Any products or components which have been modified or altered from their original intended condition will
void the Warranty. The Franke Warranties for Faber branded products are limited to the original purchaser and are non-
transferrable. These Warranties do not include products purchased from non-Authorized Retailers, products that are
obsolete or discontinued, or products that were previous display models. All issues with installed products are considered
warranty claims and not subject to the Return Policy. Franke reserves the right to inspect any Franke / Faber product
reported to be defective pursuant to a Warranty claim and the original installation prior to providing a replacement product
and/or component. All decisions are final. In no situation shall the liability of Franke exceed the amount of the original
purchase price.
The Warranties do not cover, and Franke shall not be liable for, any damage to products or components resulting from
misuse or abuse, accidental damages, normal wear such as scuffs, scratches or finish reduction/fading, improper
installation, abnormal usage, negligence, damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning. Damage caused by
impurities, corrosive chemicals or acts beyond Franke’s control are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to correct
the installation of a range hood, instructions on how to operate a range hood, to replace or repair house fuses or to correct
house wiring or plumbing are not covered by any Warranty. Service calls to repair or replace range hood light bulbs, fuses
or filters and these consumable part costs are also excluded from Warranty coverage. Installation not in accordance with
electrical or plumbing codes or Franke / Faber documentation are not covered by any Warranty. Replacement parts or
repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States, Canada or Latin America, including any non-UL or C-UL or
non-NOM approved Franke / Faber range hoods are excluded from Warranty coverage. Expenses for travel and
transportation for service in remote locations and pickup and delivery charges are not covered by any Warranty. Franke /
Faber range hoods should always be serviced in the home in their original installation.
Franke / Faber product replacements do not include liability for project delays. Product replacements are not guaranteed
to be exact replacements. If the original product is not available at the time of the warranty claim, at Franke’s option, the
product replacements will be of similar size, material, and value. Any products or components which have been modified
or altered, from its original intended condition will void the warranty.
The Warranties do not allow recovery of incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use, delay, property
damage or other consequential damage, and Franke accepts no liability for such damages. Each Warranty is limited to
the conditions set forth herein and to the applicable warranty period specified herein and is exclusive. EXCEPT FOR THE
WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN, FRANKE MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE
PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, (1) ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, (2) WARRANTY OF
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, (3) WARRANTY OF TITLE, OR (4) WARRANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT
OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE
OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE. LEGAL DISCLAIMER PLEASE
READ CAREFULLY. Franke Kitchen Systems LLC provides the above information to you as a public service to our
customers. By accessing and using this information, you agree to the following and to comply with all applicable laws. If

Franke / Faber Range Hood Limited Warranty:
Franke / Faber range hoods are warranted against any defect in materials or workmanship for the original purchaser for a
period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase when used in standard residential indoor applications. This
warranty covers labor and replacement parts. Franke, at its option, may repair or replace the product or components
necessary to restore the product to good working condition.
