INSTALLATION
1. Installing the glass
a. To install glass for the Lyndon Lantern
Item #49500:
• Hold the glass so the opening is facing up.
• Place the glass over the LED.
• Use the three screws to hold the glass in
place. Do NOT over tighten the screws.
b. To install glass for the South Hope Lantern
Item#49473:
• Hold the glass so the opening is facing down.
• Place the glass over the LED.
• Gently rotate the glass clockwise until it will not
move anymore. Carefully pull up on the glass to
ensure it has properly engaged with the lantern.
2. Charging the lantern
For best results, completely charge the lantern prior
to use.
• To charge the lantern, plug the charger into the
wall.
• Attach the other end of the charger into the
dedicated port on the bottom of the lantern.
• A red indicator light will illuminate to illustrate the
lantern is charging. Once the battery is complete
ly charged, this light will become green.
NOTE: The lantern can still operate as a light and/or
speaker while it is being charged.
3. Turning the light ON/OFF
• Tap the power button
to turn the light on.
The light will come on and the switch itself will
also illuminate green
• Tap the power button again to turn the light off.
The light will turn off and the green switch will no
longer be illuminated.
4. Dimming the lantern
• The lantern defaults to 50% light output when
first turned on.
• To adjust the light output, press and hold the
power button. This will begin to dim the light to
its lowest position. Release the button when the
desired light output is reached; otherwise the
lantern will continue to its lowest light output.
• After the lantern has reached its lowest light
output, release then hold the power button again
to increase light output.
• Continue to hold the power button to get to the
highest output level or release the button when
the desired light output is reached.

5. Pairing and connecting a BLUETOOTH phone/
tablet
• Press and hold the Bluetooth button until a
tone is heard. The button will flash blue
signaling it is ready to pair.
• Turn on the Bluetooth function on your
phone/ tablet.
• Using the Bluetooth settings of your phone/
tablet, select “Kichler” from the list of avail
able connections.
• The Bluetooth indicator light on the lantern
will change to solid blue when the connection
is successful and another tone will sound.
• To play music on your lantern, ensure volume
on your phone/tablet is NOT set to mute.
• To adjust the listening volume, use the
volume controls on your phone/tablet.
6. Listening to music
• After you phone/tablet has paired with the
lantern, it will connect automatically. If the
lantern does not connect automatically,
repeat the pairing process to register your
phone/tablet.
• The audio source (phone/tablet) will control
the volume, pause, play, and advance tracks.
NOTE: If sound is NOT inaudible, ensure your phone/
tablet is not muted and make sure the volume is at
an appropriate level.
7. Turning off the lantern’s Bluetooth audio
• To turn off the lantern’s Bluetooth audio
function, hold the Bluetooth button
until a tone is heard and the blue light on the
Blue tooth button is no longer lit.
8. How to switch audio source (changing between
a different phone/tablet)
• Repeat pairing instructions (see section titled
Pairing and connecting a BLUETOOTH
phone/tablet) on second phone/tablet.
• If primary phone/tablet is already connected,
press and hold Bluetooth button until blue
light flashes. Ensure, primary phone/tablet is
disconnected.
• Select lantern (titled Kichler) on second
phone/tablet.

FAROL PORTATIL
1. Instalar el vidrio
a. Para instalar el vidrio para el Farol Lyndon
Articulo #49500:
• Sostenga el vidrio de manera que la abertura esté
mirando hacia arriba.
• Coloque el vidrio sobre el LED.
• Use los tres tornillos para sujetar el vidrio en su
lugar. NO apriete demasiado los tornillos.
b. Para instalar el vidrio para el Farol South Hope
Articulo#49473:
• Sostenga el vidrio de manera que la abertura esté
mirando hacia abajo.
• Coloque el vidrio sobre el LED.
• Rote gentilmente el vidrio hacia la derecha hasta
que no se mueva más. Jale cuidadosamente el
vidrio para asegurarse de que ha encajado
apropriadamente con el farol.
2. Cargar el farol
Para mejores resultados, cargue completamente el
farol antes de usario.
• Para cargar el farol, enchufe el cargador en la
pared.
• Conecte el otro extremo del cargador en el puerto
dedicado en la parte inferior del farol.
• Una luz indicadora roja iluminará para indicar que
el farol se está cargando. Una vez que la bateria
está totalmente cargada esta luz se volverá verde.
TENGA EN CUENTA: El farol aún puede operar como luz
y/o altavoz (bocina) mientras se está cargando.
3. ENCENDER/APAGAR la luz
• Toque el botón de encendido para encender la luz.
La luz se encenderá y el mismo interruptor se
iluminará de verde.
• Toque el botón de encendido nuevamente para
apagar la luz. La luz se apagará y el interruptor
verde dejará de estar iluminado.
4. Regular la intensidad del farol
• El farol está programado para un 50% de potencia
luminosa cuando se enciende por primera vez.
• Para ajustar la potencia luminosa, presione y
sostenga el botón de encendido. Esto empezará
a atenuar la luz a su posición más baja. Suelte el
botón cuando alcance la potencia luminosa
deseada; de lo contrario el farol continuará con su
potencia luminosa más baja.
• Después que el farol ha alcanzado el minimo de
potencia luminosa, suelte y luego sostenga el
botón de encendido nuevamente para aumentar la
potencia luminosa.
• Continúe sosteniendo el botón de encendido
para llegar al nivel más alto de potencia luminosa
o suelte el botón cuando alcance la potencia
luminosa deseada.
5. Acoplar y conectar un teléfono/tableta
BLUETOOTH
• Apriete y sostenga el botón Bluetooth hasta
que se escuche un tono. El botón par
padeará en azul indicando que está listo para
acoplarse.
• Active la funcion Bluetooth en su teléfono/
tableta.
• Usando la configuracion Bluetooth de su
teléfono/tableta, seleccione “Kichler” de la
lista de conexiones disponibles.
• La luz indicadora Bluetooth en el farol cambi
ará a azul continua cuando se logre la conex
ion y sonará otro tono.
• Para escuchar música en su farol,
asegúrese de que el volumen en su teléfono/
tableta NO esté programado para silencio.
• Para ajustar el volumen, use los controles de
volumen en su teléfono/tableta.
6. Escuchar música
• Después que su teléfono se ha acoplado con
el farol, se conectará automáticamente. Si el
farol no se conecta automáticamente, repita
el proceso de acoplamiento para registrar su
telefono/tableta.
• La fuente de audio (teléfono/tableta) contro
lará las pistas de volumen, pausa, reproducir
y avanzar.
NOTA: Si el sonido NO se escucha, asegúrese de
que su teléfono/tableta no esté silenciado y de que
el volumen está en un nivel adecuado.
7. Apagar el audio Bluetooth del farol
• Para cancelar la función de audio Bluetooth
del farol sostenga el botón Bluetooth hasta
que se escuche un tono y la luz azul en el
botón Bluetooth ya no esté encendida.
8. Cómo cambiar la fuente de audio (cambiar con
un teléfono/tableta diferente)
• Repita las instrucciones de acoplamiento
(Ver la sección Acoplar y conectar un telé
fono/tableta BLUETOOTH) en sel segundo
teléfono/tableta.
• Si el teléfono/tableta primario ya está
conectado, oprima y sostenga el botón Blue-
tooth hasta que la luz azul parpadee.
Asegúrese de que el teléfono/tableta primaria
esté desconectado.
• Seleccione el farol (titulado Kichler) en el
segundo teléfono/tableta.
