To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit should be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and reinsert plug into outlet. Pull cord out slowly from dryer. Stop pulling when you see the red mark. DO NOT  JERK CORD. 2. Plug in dryer, then turn on heat/speed switch. 3. To retract cord, hold dryer vertically upright and away from your face. Grasp the plug with one hand, then press and hold the retract button with the other. Guide the cord and keep it from twisting. If the cord does not retract completely, pull it out slightly and wind it again guiding it into the reel. DO NOT RETRACT CORD WHILE DRYER IS PLUGGED IN.
