INTENDED USE FAN-FORCED ELECTRIC UTILITY HEATER Model LH-875A This product is intended only for indoor residential and office use not for industrial or other commercial use. Use only with electrical wiring is in good working order and that meet applicable codes and ordinances, if you have any questions about the adequacy of your wiring consult a qualified electrician. Use your heater only with a smoke detector that is in proper working order. In using your heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS listed below as part of those instructions, we have used the word “WARNING” and “CAUTION” to indicate the level of hazard. WARNING: indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in death or injury. ! Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacture may cause fire, electric shock or injury persons. Do not place the heater on uneven or small surface which might allow to tip or fall. Always unplug heater when not in use. AIR INTAKE Grounding instructions The instruction manual of grounded heaters shall include the following or equivalent wording: (In the case of a heater rated for a nominal 120 volts.) IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE OPERATING This is a convection heater, therefore, Do not expect the heating elements (coils) to glow. Since the fan in the heater draws in air thought the real louvers and forces it over the hot coils –the coils do not have a red –orange glow. A tint of red-orange may appear on the coils where the forced air doses not directly touch the coils. This is normal and completely safe and your heater is operating properly, provided you are adhering to the instruction listed in this manual. (note: the pilot light serves as a reminder that the unit is plugged in and the heater would cycle “on” automatically if the room temperature drops below the thermostat control setting). This appliance has a 3 prong grounded plug that must be inserted into a matching property grounded outlet to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This unit has FAN only setting which helps you to cool down the unit before you turn it off. Always unplug the heater when no in use To disconnect heater, turn the thermostat control to off, then remove plug from outlet. This heater is equipped with an automatic overheat safety device. If temperature of the heater becomes too high, the automatic device will turn OFF the motor and heating elements. If this occurs, make sure heater is on a level surface and clear of obstacles. Pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9M) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhausted in any manner. Do not use on soft surface, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater.
