IMPORTANT: This pole saw is equipped with a tamper resistant Caution Label
that identies conditions that may cause serious injury, electrical shock, death
by electrocution and blade hazards. If this label becomes illegible, please
contact Silky for a replacement label. Intentional removal of the Caution Label
is strictly prohibited and a violation of OSHA regulations. Do not discard these

POLE SAW USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
INTENDED USAGE
Silky telescoping pole saws (HAYATE, HAYAUCHI, ZUBAT and LONGBOY series)
are designed to cut tree limbs that are beyond the user’s reach (up to 21 feet).
Do not use the pole saw to cut anything other than tree limbs.
THE DUAL LOCKING SYSTEM FOR POLE EXTENSION
Silky telescoping pole saws are equipped with a dual locking system to ensure
the structural rigidity of the poles while extended. Therst part of the pole
locking system is the Lo
cking Clamps. The second part consists of Locking Pins.
To extend the pole saw, rst release the locking clamps (see DIAGRAM A),
and then depress the locking pin while extending the pole from the larger tube
until the pin locks in place. (For poles with more than one extension, follow the
same procedure until the pole reaches the desired length.) Once the pole is
at the desired length, with pins locked in place, close the friction clamps (see
DIAGRAM B).

IMPORTANT: The Locking Clamps and Locking Pins systems are designed to
work together. All pins must be locked
and all clamps must be closed prior to
pole saw use.
When used as described above, the dual locking system allows the efcient
transfer of eort at the handle to the blade up to 21 feet away. If the user only
closes the locking clamps, and does not ensure that the locking pins are locked
in place, the poles may slide within each other when cutting. This will result in
a loss of energy being transferred to the blade, signicantly reducing cutting
performance. It may also cause the poles to come apart and fall putting the
user and others on the ground at risk of injury.
To store the pole after use, retract the poles in reverse order, starting with the
upper pole (see DIAGRAM C).

IMPORTANT: The Locking Clamps must be open when extending or retracting
the poles. When the poles are extended or retracted without all of the locking
clamps being unlocked, they may fail to properly align preventing the locking
pins from popping up.
ATTACHING THE BLADE
Attach the saw blade to the pole by sliding the blade mounting pipe onto the
pole, lining up the two holes, inserting the two bolts with washers, and
tightening the bolts (see DIAGRAMS D, E, F & G). Do not over-tighten bolts!

SAWING INSTRUCTIONS
Silky pole saws are designed to cut tree limbs that are beyond the user’s reach.
Once cut, the tree limbs will fall to the ground. Do not stand beneath tree limbs
that are being cut. Be aware of what is around you, the pole saw, and the tree
limb you are cutting. Always use a hard hat and eye protection when using the
pole saw!
Only operate the pole saw from a secure working position. Insecure
positioning may cause the user to drop the pole saw, putting the user and
others on the ground at risk of injury.
Silky saws are designed to cut on the pull stroke. Due to precision engineering
of the blade, little downward force is required for the pole saw to cut eectively.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the saw blade periodically with a solvent to remove tree residue. This will
prolong the life of the blade.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA SERRUCHAR
SILKY Serruchos Mástiles (HAYATE, HAYAUCHI, ZUBAT y LONGBOY serie)
están diseñados a cortar las ramas de los árboles que están afuera del alcance
del usuario (hasta 21 pies). No use el serrucho mástil para cortar algo además
las ramas de los árboles.
EL SISTEMA CERRADURA DOBLE PARA EXTENSIÓN DEL MÁSTIL SILKY

IMPORTANTE: Las abrazaderas y los pernos cerraduras están diseñados a

IMPORTANTE: Los pernos cerraderos tienen que estar abiertos cuando
extender o replegar los mástiles. Cuando los mástiles están extendidos o
replegados sin que estén abiertos todos los pernos cerraderos, es posible que
fracasen alinear correctamente, impidiendo los pernos cerraderos de cerrar
en lugar.
SUJETAR LA HOJA
Una la hoja con el mástil por deslizada el tubo de montar con la hoja, al mástil.
Se pone la los agujeros, insertado las dos empernas con las arandelas y
estrecha las empernas. (Vea Diagramas D, E, F y G) ¡No estrecha
excesivamente!

INSTRUCCIONES PARA SERRUCHAR
SILKY Serruchos Mástiles están diseñados para cortar las ramas de los
árboles que están afuera del alcance del usuario. Después de cortar, las ramas
se caen a la tierra. No esté de pie debajo las ramas que se están cortando.
Sea consciente de su ambiente, el serrucho mástil y la rama que está cortando.
Siempre use el sombrero resistente y protección de los ojos cuando usa el
serrucho mástil.
Opere solo el serrucho mástil de una posición segura. Una posición insegura
puede causar el usuario deje de caer el serrucho mástil, poniéndose y otros
que están en la tierra a riesgo de herida.
Los serruchos SILKY están diseñados a cortar a la arrastra brazada. Debido a
que el diseña precisión de la hoja, poco fuerza es necesario para el serrucho
cortar efectivamente. ¡Permita que el serrucho haga el trabajo para usted!
MANTENIMIENTO
Limpie el serrucho de vez en cuando con un solvente para quitar el residuo del
árbol. Limpiar puede prolongar la vida de la hoja.
